"This was a small spot with outdoor seating. There also was a bar outside, but not sure if it was part of the establishment. The menu was diverse while the service was friendly. The food also came out very fast.For an appetizer, the hushpuppies ($7) were ordered. They came with whipped butter, but it was in the small packages. There were twelve medium sized balls that were fried appropriately and came out extremely hot. They were very tasty. There was a nice batter to filing ratio with plenty of flavor.I had the fish tacos ($15). There were two large tacos with beer battered rockfish, jicama slaw, chili lime mayo, and Pico de Gallo. They were stuffed appropriately with a lot of slaw. I would have preferred the rockfish to be a little bigger, but it was not a big deal as they were good and fried nicely. The mayo was a nice touch with the rest of the filling. I opted for the potato salad as a side, and it was pleasant. I also tried the fried green tomato sandwich that came with basil goat cheese, roasted red pepper, and a balsamic reduction. This was well put together. Every component of the sandwich complimented each other nicely. Will I go back? Yes."

"Very good! Wednesday was busy!I dined here a few weeks ago with my husband and his co-workers. I did not expect a Wednesday night to be busy, but it was. I know the restaurant offers deals throughout the week so this may have steered the crowd here.Nevertheless, we had a waiter and a waitress that took care of us, a party of 10 and they both were great and attentive.Overall, the meal and drinks were on point as usual.The only hiccup was the butter for the bread. It seemed as though the butter came directly from the freezer or frig because I could not spread it smoothly on my complimentary roll.The waitress came to my rescue... she easily swapped a bowl of butter from another table and it was all good.We also dined up front which had plenty of space to seat our party.I love it here! I love happy hour too... great deals here, before 6pm or 7pm.Have fun and enjoy life :)"

We went before a show at Chrysler Hall, and our waiter made every effort to expedite our meal.We ordered the Japanese A5 filet, and it was perfection in a piece of beef. The shareable sides were more than enough to make sure everyone got some. Even though it was the dinner rush, the restaurant was warm and wasn't overly loud.It was the best steakhouse 15 years ago, and it still is today."

It's is a new favorite spot -- beats out Byrd and Baldwin for a date night. Simple things to be aware of: complementary valet parking (if you forget or don't have cash, you can add the valet tip to your bill at the end and your server will bring you cash from the bar to hand to the valet -- who at least for us was a very respectful young college student who was quickly met us once we pulled up and quickly brought us our car.) Yes, gratuity (20%) is added to your bill, which is clearly stated on the menu and if you read just a handful of reviews of Zoes -- shouldn't be a surprise at bill time."

"We took a party of 12 to Mike Dianna's on July 5, 2024. Availability was the deciding factor.The atmosphere was one of palpable rush to turn tables. Our server was insensitive to the state of the table and interrupted and rushed entree orders.One of the orders was "lost", leaving my spouse without a plate. They apologized profusely and comped her meal, but it still took way longer than it should have to get a medium-rare strip steak replaced.The drinks were "meh". The GR Smash was bereft of bourbon and only hinted at the fruit flavoring. Warm bread was excellent, but olive oil/salt/pepper arrived way after the bread. The entrees were mostly pleasing, although it's unsatisfactory, at this price point, to have "steak with mashed potatoes and green beans" or "steak with rice and summer vegetables". No other choices, no separate sides, no family style - and that's $59 for that 12 oz New York Strip, friend.When the best thing you can say is "they had space for 12", then it's time to plan better and reserve earlier for next time."

"The Amber Lantern is a cozy restaurant on the water in the Chesapeake area. It was the perfect spot to celebrate with friends and family for a special occasion. While it's definitely in the most unassuming spot: off the highway and by what appears is a lot of construction. Once you get there, you'll find a peaceful, refined restaurant that's nice but not overly pretentious or fussy. The menu is a mix of seafood, American, and pasta dishes. So there's a good mix for pretty much everyone! Don't sleep on the warm bread. It's excellent. They also have delicious drinks and cocktails if you're looking for a fun libation. I really enjoyed my pasta. It was rich and tasty. The serving size was generous, so I definitely didn't leave hungry. The service was so friendly and accommodating. While this place is not an everyday staple. It's definitely a nice once in a while treat if you're looking for something nicer."

The waiter was awesome and the chef was entertainingly brilliant.Browsing the menu, I was intrigued by keeping the glass cup for their signature alcohol drinks so I ordered "The Sumo", which was very tasty. As far as food, I was contemplating between the filet mignon and chicken or just the chicken. I settled for the chicken and it was exceptionally well made. The overall prices are well worth it, considering the amount of food your getting + the entertainment of it being prepared right in front of you. There was so much food I had to get the rest to go. It's been almost a week since I have been and I'm considering going back already. As a heads up, incase you aren't aware, that if you plan to go in a party if 6 or more, your bill will have gratuity already added."

"The Seahorse Steakhouse is a busy place. I knew there was going to be a wait when I saw the parking lot so full. When you arrive get your name on the list at the counter and stand around with the other folks waiting for a table and stare at the case of cakes that look so very good. I was there during the prime rib special that is two days a week and seems to be a popular choice from what I could hear. The other patrons were friendly while we waited. I'm not sure how long it took to be seated but when my name was called I was put into a booth.At the other tables and booths I noticed the waitstaff knowing the names of the other patrons so that is always a good sign. My waitress was friendly and gave some recommendations. I ordered a piece of cake to go first thing as I wanted to be sure I got a slice of the pig pickin' with the pineapple and mandarin oranges. Bread and hush puppies were brought out with my beverage. I was even offered more if I chose. I went with the filet mignon and shrimp as I couldn't decide between the two so went with an option on the menu to get both. I also got a baked potato and mac n cheese. The potato was huge. Both the filet and the shrimp were great as was the baked potato. I wasn't a fan of the mac n cheese as much so when I got full I was ok not finishing or taking that with me.I will be back the next time I am in Greenville, NC."

Came out extremely fast, as expected. We shared a hibachi table with one other family and we were the only ones there on a Friday night. Perhaps it was the weather. Nonetheless, service is great on a slow night. Environment was about what you'd expect from a hibachi place, outside is a little sketchy, but don't let it deter you. Overall worth a visit for my family with young kids, we would return again- but not for a celebration that we actually want to celebrate with excitement LOL"
