While the aroma upon entering was undeniably enticing, the actual delivery on the pizza front proved somewhat uneven.The crust, unfortunately, lacked the desired airy char and crackle, instead clinging to the palate with a damp texture. The promised avalanche of meat materialized sparsely, leaving vast expanses of cheese-laden dough yearning for their carnivorous companions. Even the pepperoni, usually a reliable hero, seemed to shrink under the spotlight, its once-crisp edges yielding to a softened state.The Kahuna pizza offered a slightly brighter note. Fresh pineapple and salty prosciutto engaged in a tango on the dough, but the choreography was decidedly off-kilter. Some bites had juicy fruit and savory ham, while others were quite bare of tapping. It was a pizza of islands, each harboring its own distinct feast, but lacking the harmonious cohesion that elevates a pizza to greatness.The fried calamari, sadly, followed the pattern of inconsistency. Perhaps it was an off night, a culinary hiccup in the grand scheme of pizza-making.While the convenience factor remains undeniable, and the glimpses of potential linger, Cogan's North falls short of a resounding recommendation. My culinary odyssey continues, in search of a haven where crust reigns supreme, meat lovers find harmonious bounty, and calamari emerges from the fryer a golden, crispy delight. Perhaps, one day, the Meatzilla at Cogan's will truly roar its carnivorous anthem. But for now, the memory remains a cautionary tale of promise unfulfilled."

"I have been here twice, both for birthday occasions with a large party, and I have to say they are very accommodating. Props to the staff!! This place has a pretty low rating, but I disagree. Great service, fresh delicious seafood, and a wide drink menu say otherwise.Unfortunately I don't have many pictures yet, besides a dim one of the massive Neptune's platter because we ate outside in the dark this time, and last time I wasn't on Yelp. But I have sampled the platters, stealing off of my boyfriend's plate, and the Shore Drive Fish Tacos. Both are divine. There is also a good selection of non-seafood items. And again, service is always quick and friendly.This past visit was my boyfriend's siblings bday. We had a large party of 10 hosted by their parents. They were pretty rambunctious, but I always make sure to recognize the hard work of service workers. I felt terrible for our server because half the time, he would come up and check on us, and my boyfriend, the sibling's husband and I were the only ones not ignoring him. But he still kept a great attitude. Even when he stopped by multiple times and their mom complained about needing something when she could have asked if she paid attention. Not to air her out... but our server was very very patient. In-laws!!!!!!!! Lol. My boyfriend and I tipped very well to hopefully make it worth it.I haven't been to the bar, but when I went inside to use the restroom, it was very noisy and crowded from the bargoers. So there's a big scene there if you're into that vibe. So, no matter what you're into, especially if you LOVE seafood like me, stop by CP Shuckers!!!!"

"So - it's a total dive bar, AND it's a smoking joint. My friend and I ended up here because we'd heard there was karaoke, and I figured, how bad can it be? We came in, ordered a round of drinks and played a couple rounds of pool while waiting for it to start. After about half an hour, I could barely breathe from all of the smoke, let alone try to sing a song. So - if you're a smoker, this place is probably totally up your alley. SUPER cheap drink prices. Two beers was only like $5. So that's a perk. Also, nice pool tables, darts, and several touch screen games. And as far as we experienced, the staff was nice. Just for me, I couldn't handle the smoke."

"Visited Orapax for the first time for a corporate team dinner and was very impressed! Loved how warm and welcoming the ambiance was and the small lights on the table made it very easy to see the menu. There was a few minutes left for Happy Hour (Happy Hour ends at 6!) and I ordered the Rosemary fries, a half dozen of Pegasus wings (they were so good!) and a small Greek salad. For the size of our party, all of the food arrived in a timely manner and was perfect- the tempeture was great, serving size was great. No complaints at all. To wrap up the night, I finished with a warm brownie sundae topped with vanilla ice cream with drizzled caramel and chocolate syrup. 10/10. I found a new hidden gem!"

It's slightly pricey for what it is, but overall we had a nice time. I'm sure in the tourist season it's nice sitting outside but we were inside this time. Our waitress was very nice and helpful even though it was a busy night."

"Love this Place! Have been going here for over a year going with a group of coworkers at their old loation across from Mcdonalds. Its kind of become our tradition to meet up after work here about one friday a month! & everytime We get the same server LIZ!! shes amazing and remmebers our drinks orders as soon as she sees us walk in! All of their food is affordable and the even have specials throughout the week and a good happy hour!!One of my favorite dishes to recommend by far is the spicy tuna bites!!! The atmoshphere here is always friendy, food is always hot, and customer service makes you feel warmly welcomed! We will continue to be regular customers to this establishment!!"

Though it is a sports bar, it's a nice family restaurant when not busy and no big games on tv. I do like to come here to watch the Steelers during NFL season. Fast service and clearly marked TVs make sure you are sitting with the right people for your game."

"Found a gem! Not only amazing tasting food, the live music on Saturdays is GREAT. Hubby and I came here after a stressful move in day and man are we happy we chose this place. First off, If you get the chance to meet Marlon, you'll be in the best hands. He was very attentive, accommodating and upmost professional. He is so sweet as well. He gave us all the pointers for food and kept in touch with the table attentively. The inside is huge! Lots of tv screens and a separate room with a fire place. Lots of bar space too. Plenty of real estate in this place! I love the hanging football helmets. This will be a great place to come to watch football. The band was amazing! We loved it. Such good vibes and amazing artists/ instruments being played. The bathroom was clean, we have no complaints on the atmosphere. It was so much fun. The food was DELICIOUS! Crab dip, corn bread and my smash burger grilled cheese was my fav! My husband loved his ribs as well If you haven't stopped by or haven't been there for a while, go check it out!!!"

"We need more dive bars in Virginia Beach. I mean good ones that are not too raunchy, but still have that feel where you know your in one. Pool tables and pinball machines are a must. Also regular folk sitting around the bar with country music is a nice touch. Yeah my first time at Pungo Sports Bar & Grill and this is a dive bar. But wait, there is more so read on.The location is in the heart of Pungo off Princess Anne Rd in a strip. It was dark and rainy so it much to see if it was kept up. However, it should be large enough for a crowd they would have unless possibly live music draws a big crowd. There are chairs out front that serve as the smoking area. I did not make plans to hit Pungo Sports up tonight, but circumstances led me to them. After hitting up 412Q for take out I needed a table. So I saddled up to a table and began to chow. The waitress was cool with it and I ordered a Budweiser in bottle. They have a full bar, but do not expect fancy craft choices. If they have tap I did not see it. They do have a food menu. The female bartender was sweet. The drinking/dinning area was pretty clean. Tables and stools to sit on with a small bar. Two pool tables and darts take up the front room. A pay digital juke box played a mix of customer choices from country to classic rock.Before departing I chatted with the bartender and got a shock I would have never expected. As a matter of fact I was positive she was pulling my leg, but no. Come January they will convert the business into a farm to table restaurant with a hunt club theme, at least that's the working decor. The same owner will turn the place from dive to fine country dinning. Then the kicker, Kevin James of Commune who has New Earth around the corner will be involved at minimum as a consultant. I must say as much as I love a great farm to table I was a bit torn. Virgina Beach needs more dive bars."

Don't come here looking for classy, it's a dive bar. Drink your PBR Or bud in peace here. Can you bring the kids? Sure. But it's a little rough around the edges but doable. Especially outside on the large patio. Little draught list. Very simple bar drinks with reasonable prices. TVs for games!"

Unfortunately, the atmosphere of the bar itself had a "business" feel & not enough "neighborhood" feel for me.Personally, I found the bartenders to be impersonal - unless you were a customer in their elite circle. Not even a friendly smile from my bartender when I ordered OR when my beer was delivered.The customers seemed willing to interact & smile, which was a plus."Scotty Quixx" is not my kinda bar. "From our first experience with this place two years ago, I think the service and quality has improved. We've come a few times just to play and have always enjoyed it, so when my son said he wanted to do his birthday party here, I thought, okay - let's give it a shot. Based on our prior attendance at a few, I wasn't sure how it would go, but we had an excellent experience this past weekend. They offer a variety of party packages -- so depending on the bells and whistles you want, you can pretty much custom tailor things as you please. This apparently is key -- the basic kid's birthday only covers the kids bowling. We wanted both the kids and adults to be able to bowl, so we simply rented the lanes (each lane rental covers up to 6 bowlers) for two hours and added the shoe rentals, opting to do food separately. It was easier that way to order some pizzas to feed the kiddos and let the adults pick and choose what they wanted. They also allowed us to bring in some basic decorations and some cupcakes, which was incredibly helpful.The staff was very helpful, getting the kids set up in the lanes. You can tailor per bowler whether or not the bumpers are on, which is fantastic. They also have the little dragon aimers that help kids from being frustrated. Several of our kiddos discovered a chat function on the monitors and basically started texting each other in between bowling with all kinds of silly emojis. Very fun. Everything moved smoothly and seamlessly and everyone had a great time! Honestly, the only reason I'm placing it at a 4 and not 5 is the quality of the pizza. Not terrible, but oy, did a number on the adult tummies later. Kids with stomachs of steel seemed to do just fine. Overall, I'd highly recommend this as an excellent indoor location to have a kid's birthday party! The variety of customizing the packages is nice and there are many reasonably priced options compared to other indoor party locations."

"I decided to dine at Rudee's for my birthday a couple of weeks ago since it's one of my favorite places to for seafood in the area. We arrived a little before 8pm and it wasn't busy at all so we were able to be seated right away.Every year for my birthday, I love to enjoy raw oysters so that's exactly what I ordered along with the Rudee's Cocktail Shrimp (fried). Even though it wasn't busy, the food took a little bit of time to come out but we didn't mind. Once everything was served, I noticed that the raw oysters didn't look very fresh nor were they as chilled as they normally are so I was a little hesitant to eat them but they tasted okay. However, the fried shrimp was absolutely delicious and fried perfectly! My daughter ordered the crab cake sandwich and enjoyed her meal as well.I'm going to chalk the raw oysters up to it being later in the night but I hope if I order them again in the future, they will taste better. Other than that, I had an enjoyable birthday dinner and I will definitely be returning!"

"I came here this weekend for a paint event, and it was an okay venue for that purpose. It's definitely a sort of dive bar kind of vibe. They have a front non-smoking area and a back smoking area -- but you can still smell a lot of smoke in the non-smoking section. So, as someone who is sensitive to that, that was a drawback. The drink selection isn't the greatest. I went with a beer because the only wine is those little airplane bottles of swill. The staff was friendly though and there was plenty of parking. A few people in the party ordered food and none of it looked particularly fabulous. So if you have low expectations, this place has some fun to offer."

"I've been to this twice within two weeks of each other. I would definitely recommend sitting outside because the inside is loud. The service both times have been excellent. The first time I went there I had ordered the chicken Alfredo pizza and it was delicious one of the best Alfredo pizza I've eaten. The second I had ordered the fried calamari as an appetizer which was amazing. The pizza this time around is different. I had ordered a cheese pizza with mushrooms and garlic crust. When it first came out it was undercooked. It was put back in the oven instead of making a fresh one. It was cooked when it came out but the garlic on the crust was burnt and left a bad taste in my mouth."

Had me playing hop scotch around those doggone puddles! GET THERE EARLY! Now, as previously, the bartender(s) was excellent with the customer service. What kind of sucked was when the four of us walked in, we thought we were going to be served, like a restaurant. SIKE! Better get your ass up and walk to the bar! There is no wait staff. It's one bartender and 2 cooks. That's it. "Dang Lawrence, you said two negatives, but still 5 stars. Why?" Apparently on Friday nights, they have a free buffet starting around 6:30. You must purchase at least 2 drinks. On this buffet was ham and cheese sandwiches, baked beans, mac and cheese, hot wings, spaghetti and barbecue ribs. Just like I was saying about lunch, THE FOOD IS STUPIDLY GOOD... ALL OF IT!!! There was plenty to feed the crowd. Everyone was very respectful with the portions to make sure everyone was able to taste the love that was put in the food. The mixed crowd was walking around like a meet and greet (someone just bought a round of drinks for the table). I can work with the short staffed and parking situation, but when you find a gem where everything you've tasted in this establishment is quality, great customer service AND the clientele is on point, that's a diamond in the rough!"

"I've been driving pass LV's for years but never had the guts to stop in. After seeing a few reviews on here I decided to try them out! I am so glad I did. My dad and I visited for Sunday dinner. I was REALLY craving some good soul food and Southern Comfort was closed. LV's opened at 4 so I did have to wait until then. When we walked into the restaurant I was expecting it to be sit-in like most restaurants are now. But they are only doing to-go orders. My dad ordered the 6 Whole chicken wings and I ordered the smothered pork chops. Unfortunately there was an hour wait for Mac n cheese, I wasn't willing to wait so I didn't try it out. But I will next time. The pork chop was delicious, I looovez the gravy! The chicken wings were also delicious. Next time I think I'll order the wings and Mac n cheese. I will definitely be returning when I need my soul food fix!"

I've been driving past this place for I can't tell you how long and I'm glad I actually had an opportunity to go inside. for one they allow smoking inside and as a cigar smoker that gives me joy. What I wasn't ready for though was how good the food was. I don't know who they have back there in the kitchen cooking but the food is cooked like something I'd cook for myself at home. I had the club sandwich with fries and a cup of chili. Both looked and tasted homemade. A good friend of mine had the burger and he said it was outstanding. It looked like they actually made the burger patty and didn't go with your typical frozen patty method. I'm highly impressed with this little spot in my cigar crew and I will definitely be coming back on the regular. ** well that was short-lived. Apparently customers were complaining about cigar smoke... apparently some of them prefer cigarette smoke so the manager will no longer allow cigars to be smoked in this establishment...***"
