"This is definitely a hidden gem in Williamsburg. We ventured here looking for a good oven fire pizza and the chef/owner was the only one there. He took our order and cooked the pizza for us. The pizza was delicious! Although it's hard to go wrong with an oven fire pizza. Definitely recommend!"
"This place really is a local landmark worth visiting. I remember coming here over 20 years ago the last time I was in Williamsburg and I walked out with a ton of stuff. When I came back recently, I was reminded about this store when we came across an ad on a local map. I made it a point to stop by again and it was an excellent decision! The proprietors here are super friendly and incredibly kind. They were very happy to help us with any questions we had about their (huge) selection of different peanuts and the nuances of all the unique flavors. I walked out with like 10 cans of nuts, and so far the ones I've tried all were great though I am extremely big on the smoked bacon flavored peanuts. I think I literally ate the whole can in two sittings, and there's a lot of nuts in each container. The other ones I enjoyed so far are the lime nuts, creole nuts, and the crab nuts. I have the jalapeño nuts that I am eager to try soon, along with their sweet options like the pralines and chocolate covered nuts. All of their peanuts were extremely fresh and crunchy. Overall it's what I remembered it to be back in the day, flavors or not the nuts are all high quality and a huge cut above what you can buy in your usual retail stores.Virginia peanuts are the best and this is about the best place you can buy them. This is a must visit for every nut lover who's in the Williamsburg area!"
"I'm a foodie. I will put Deltaville's DeltaPie up against ANY pizza place. NYC- game on. Naples- watch out. I'm being serious. The secret? The best ingredients, a hearth fired oven and a staff that cares. Yum."

I have been wanting to try FTH Pizza for a couple of years. After enjoying it today, I wish had stopped by earlier. It was very good--maybe the best pizza I've tried in Williamsburg. Using a wood fire oven, FTH Pizza's pies convey that fired taste. I purchased the Margarita Pizza, and I really enjoyed the sauce. It contains the right amount of sweetness. This pizza also was not very cheesy, which is perfect for me!One of my favorite parts of a pizza is the air bubbles. It's crazy. I can't get enough of them! While my pizza had sufficient bubbles to delight, a couple were burnt from the fire. If you like bubbles like I do, ask for them to watch heat on the bubbles. For $12, I received a delicious pizza that added sunshine to a cloudy day!I have heard that they may sell out of their pizza dough before their posted closing hours, so I recommend going early.

It's been a while since I visited the Peanut shop. The variety of peanuts are amazing. I noticed that glazed or cinnamon glazed pecans, chocolate covered almonds, cashews, and other snack items are available. One thing that is missing is the chance to taste most if not all the different types of peanuts before buying. The taste test is now limited and on the side of the cashier's counter. I'd say, the what I consider endless tasting contributed to the buying experience. Ambiance remains the same.

I can't say enough about this place. We stopped by last summer and built this year's summer schedule around coming back for it. My husband loves pizza, has tried it all over the US, and has decided this is his favorite. I totally agree. The topnotch ingredients, expansive menu, and cooked-to-order wood fired pizza is extraordinary. Plus, the place has great little gifts and artisan snacks.

It's so much fun to visit the Kitchen Koop! I love to explore the endless displays of cute kitchen stuff (most of which you really don't "need", which makes it even more fun!) One of the best purchases I've made is this little plastic onion shaped thing that holds your leftover onion in the fridge so you don't smell up your tupperware (or the fridge). They also have a lemon and a lime shaped one to store the unused half. So cute. There are tons and tons of serving plates and bowls, aprons, coffees and teas, the list goes on and on. The only thing keeping the last star off is the owner, who is either a total sweetheart or a total witch, depending on the day. She has been known to yell at customers (my friend is one) and just flips out for no good reason. I'm not sure what her deal is, but that never keeps us from going to check out what's new.

I have been seeing this restaurant's stand up sign outside for months bragging about having the best burger in the 757. So today I stopped by and picked one up. You can also eat in at several small tables they have nicely set with white table cloths and colorful cushions. I ordered their Moody's Burger that comes with cheese, leaf lettuce, and homemade pickles. It also comes with a side of pasta salad or several choices of side salads. I asked for mine to be cooked medium-well, as it is ground beef. The wait was 8 minutes. The food was put into small plastic containers and into a nice brown bag with twine handles.I should have done an "unboxing video"! This burger looked just like you want those burgers you get other places to look. The patty was at least 3/4" thick. The cheese melted nicely over the entire burger. It was a little undercooked, more medium, but was within my comfort zone of eating ground meat. One of the best parts is that the roll is toasted, really toasted, not just warmed up on the grill, The Couchon salad was ample with bacon, various greens, and cucumber, and their homemade honey lime dressing was superb. I will say if you decide to dine inside at the tables, it pretty warm, which will be nice in the cooler months, but today seemed kind of stuffy. There is no barrier between the kitchen and the dining area which is the main reason it is warm. I say this burger was probably the best I have had anywhere in a very long time! They are closed on Mondays, and lunch is from 11:00 to 2:00. They have a wide variety of beverages--italian flavored sparkling waters, beer, wine and even a split of French Champagne available ! I would highly recommend the Mood Burger if you are in the mood for an old fashioned, freshly grilled hamburger.

"We found ourselves in the Old Town section of Portsmouth today after lunch and we decided to visit the Kitchen Koop on High Street. This a a wonderful place to find those "hard to find" items for the Kitchen that you have been looking for or perhaps even the items that you didn't know that you needed. The salesperson was very friendly and helpful with our questions and she was savvy enough to offer suggestions for things that we had not considered. She was not pushy at all and we felt very comfortable just roaming around this eclectic store.A person could spend an hour (if you have the time) and still not "See" everything. The prices are reasonable for the quality offered and my Wife and I really enjoyed ourselves. If you are looking for for a wonderful place to pick up some items for your Kitchen, stop by the Kitchen Koop. You will be happy that you did and you can rest assured that you are supporting local business!"
"The food was absolutely amazeballs! We had carryout, a friend dropped by and brought dinner. Steamed shrimp and caesar salads. Oh my goodness the caesar dressing was the best and the salad was fresh. The shrimp, were perfectly seasoned and very tasty, and HUGE. Thank You friend!"
