We had our engagement ceremony during cherry blossom period in 2018 in DC - Elena and Nikita did an amazing work! It was our second photo session (we did Love Story last year) with Elena. This time she helped/consulted me to chose the colors of our outfits and the exact location as we both love T.Jefferson memorial. On the day of the photo session Elena and Nikita arrived earlier to set up and prepare everything for the session. It was a bit called, so Elena and Nikita were working in fast pace, to make sure we won't get a cold. I always considered myself as a non-photogenic person, so I was worried before photo session . However, throughout the photo session, Elena helped me to relax, be myself and more over, open myself up from a different side I have never seen. I felt so confident and as if I have always been a model. Also, my fiancé enjoyed the session and the work Elena and Nikita put in to us. He was inspired to be creative and romantic! Elena and Nikita, both continuously helped us, by saying where to look, how to stand, how to put our hands- so we looked incredible! They were able to see our story and create our fairy tale! We are so lucky, we had them to shoot our Engagement session. We are now planning our wedding- overseas, and we are definitely inviting them, so stay tuned to see their unbelievable work!

The guy that runs this studio is a scam artist. He will try to sell you hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth of pictures even though you tell him up front that you're just there for a single pic.Also he hired me for some work and didn't pay me.

Back in January, I decided to get out more and do some retreats. I asked you all if there were any going on this year and I had a bunch of you message me. One stood out to me particularly and I messaged her right away. It was a retreat in Washington and it included backcountry hiking and capturing a styled elopement.I was so excited when she messaged me back stating she had a spot available and sent me an email for the payment. I paid $387.50 on January 8th and the other half $387.50 was due April 5th which I had paid as well (on time). She also never sent a contract or anything stating the trip was non refundable. I should also add while planning this trip I had emailed her twice about where and what time I would be meeting her since I would be coming all the way from Indiana. She never answered me.I found out two weeks prior to the trip that my doctor didn't think it was the best for me to be traveling and especially hiking while being at high risk for my pregnancy. (Also, I had found out I was pregnant in April)I emailed her on April 19th stating that I would not be able to attend the trip as the doctor wanted me to be on bed rest. I never received an email and proceeded to message her through messenger on Facebook and messaged her twice. (May 26th & June 7th)She never opened my messages and so I decided to write a message on one of her posts because maybe she was busy...Still no answer.Yesterday around 5pm I decided to literally write on her Facebook and write: "Hey girl, I've been messaging and would love for you to respond back." And she blocked me.I have been OVERLY too nice about this situation and understand people especially us photographers get super busy with life. Now, that she has blocked me without even a word is saying a lot about her as a person. It's very unprofessional as a person who runs a business to ignore her clients and especially ones who have paid. I will be filing a claim with my bank to try to get this resolved but I just wanted to make a public announcement and warn everyone about her.

You get what you pay for...actually you get less. We booked a mini session which is stated as being 45 min to 1 hour on the site. My wife requested 4:30 but she countered with 5pm. We got to the park and it was already getting dark, we started down a path where she insisted on taking some pictures and then after taking a few realized her memory card wasn't in the camera. 5 mins wasted, we walk down to a lake where there was good lighting by the water so that's where EVERY picture was taken. We finished at 5:25, so we got 20 mins of a 45 min to 1 hour photo session.I wrote Erika to address this and let her know that with little ones we could not do another photo shoot and we thought it would be fair to reduce the price of the remaining balance by %50, so instead of paying the remaining $60 we would pay $30. She countered with a hostile email and said she would give us a reduced amount of pictures and $10 off and that was all she was willing to "stand with"..yep those were her words. After I initiated a refund for the initial $40 we paid for the booking fee she called very concerned because I said I would review and let others know the experience we received.My wife was upset and wanted something to show for the 20 mins we got so we came to an agreement to get 10 of the 15 pics and $20 off. Huge mistake because %80 of the pics we got were pretty terrible. The one of our daughter is blurry because she focused on the step she was sitting on. We got duplicate pictures because she tossed on a black and white filter for some of them.We will NEVER use her again and hope this review serves useful to those trying to get quality pictures. Session was rushed, her customer service is horrid and worst of all we don;t have quality pictures to counteract the experience we had.
