We started with chips and salsa because we had a long drive and if the kids didn't have something we would have lost it and had a moment. I had the vegan carne asada tacos with the red sauce, S had the Unemployed Surfer which is a bean and cheese burrito with red sauce. The kids had a vegan quesadilla. All was decent. I would probably opt for the burrito next time as the tacos were a little dry. The quesadilla was very cheesy! It lost points for me because it was very hot, not good ventilation, and our table wasn't cleaned before we sat down."

The pad see ew noodles were overcooked and a little gelatinous but still tasted good. The red curry was a little overly salty but still flavor was nice and the tofu was perfectly lightly fried. "It's been likely over 7 years since my last visit to La Herradura VB. I use to be a regular. They do have a Norfolk location that the owners son runs. My wife and I decided on a Friday Mexcan dinner during happy hour. We were greeted with smiles at the door by the hostess and owner. We were seated at a booth with menus, chips and salsa. Also drink orders were taken. Of course a margarita was in order to celebrate Friday. It was dashed out and super yummy! The dining room was over half full around 630. The bar that seats around 8-10 was oddly empty. Everything seemed clean. In short order our friendly waitress brought my 24oz Margarita on the rocks with salted rim arrived and was super! I ordered a buritto deluxe with side of rice. My wife chicken enchilada. The food hit the table within 15 minutes and was HOT! Everything looked great! My wife and i really enjoyed our meals. Our waitress was strong and checked on us a few times. As well the owner checked in. This was a pleasant surprise. I suspect new owners since my last visit. Solid 4 and will return."

That shouldn't deter you. The best Thai joint in San Diego in the heart of Uni Heights had only two tables and a long down the street with a cult following!I ordered the spring rolls, pad Thai & Krapow Kai Dow. I'll open with this, I do think the family might be from Laos or pull some of their flavor profiles in that direction. What does this mean: what you might think of for pad Thai might be different here. Trust me, it's for the better! Their pad Thai leaned more savory than tangy like a lot of joints tend to make their pad Thai. I actually grew up having a similar pad Thai in Florida so it was quite nostalgic for me.Spring rolls were super tasty, fresh fried, not greasy and clearly home made. If you've ever had real fresh & homemade fried spring rolls THIS IS IT! The Krapow was super delicious, strong flavors of the fresh basil. Ground pork was perfectly done (e.g. very finely ground with no inconsistency). The only thing I was sad about wasn't their fault, it's actually mine. The fried egg unfortunately cooked all the way through. Not their fault: delivery in sealed package + drive time = fully cooked egg. This one might be an eat in house item if it tickles your fancy.I definitely look forward to trying out more of their menu in the future, maybe pay a trip in person. If you're on the fence and are sick of the 1 of 12 restaurants all with the same name owned by different people (you know the ones)... give this quaint eatery a try!"

If you're looking for a lazy Saturday morning brunch (and Fred's is closing at 11am), then look no further. -Try their mimosa flight--it is delicious and only $10. Why not?!-They were out of the crab dip, so we will be trying it next time we come and order garlic knots. But... the beer cheese was EXCELLENT. Normally we run into the dilemma of running out of dip before we run out of a given dippable item. In this case, we were met with a very generous serving that complimented said garlic knots very well. -Fried cheese curds and hush puppies were perfect. -I'd only recommend using kalamata olives (instead of black) in the Mediterranean Salad, even if it means raising the price to accommodate that. Otherwise, I loved that they used a spring mix, which is more nutritious, and it was delicious and pleasing to the eyes. -We were full before we got to our patty melt (with an egg) and packed it up to go--and it was very satisfying hours later after a slight nuke in the microwave. We must've suffered from RBF because the owner asked if we were unhappy with our food since we were taking so much of it home for later. Thank you for being so attentive to your customers!"

From there, you place your order either as dine-in or takeout. I ordered the Cordon Bleu chicken sandwich with a side of fries with Cajun seasoning and also a Reese Pieces cold fusion dessert. Everything was pretty good. The chicken sandwich had plenty working together. Hand breaded chicken, ham, honey mustard and Swiss cheese....good enough for me. The fries were well done with a good amount of Cajun seasoning to keep your taste buds afloat. I also had Nashville Hot, Korean BBQ and Honey Mustard dipping sauce for the fries. And the cold fusion dessert had a whole lot of Reeses Pieces mixed with their custard...say no more. Sophia ordered the Bacavo Ranch sandwich and gave it thumbs up on her end.Definitely not a bad meal for both of us.
