In fact, his wood fired pizza oven was imported from there, and that is only part of the secret to this wonderful eatery. There was a few minutes left for Happy Hour (Happy Hour ends at 6!) and I ordered the Rosemary fries, a half dozen of Pegasus wings (they were so good!) and a small Greek salad. For the size of our party, all of the food arrived in a timely manner and was perfect- the tempeture was great, serving size was great. No complaints at all. To wrap up the night, I finished with a warm brownie sundae topped with vanilla ice cream with drizzled caramel and chocolate syrup. 10/10. I found a new hidden gem!"

"On bestie weekend this was our second bakery stop (thank goodness The Chrysler was opening soon as we surely would have hit every bakery in Norfolk) and upon selecting a dine in treat and take outs for the man, we sat down for a quiet snack on. It did not stay quiet for long. The goods are so good that even the cold, pelting rain couldn't keep the citizens away. Our dine in treat was what I thought was a simple coffee cake. It was not simple but it sure was good. Alot of crunch on top, but not enough cinnamon to turn you off. The cake was a moist compliment to the topping.As we snacked I could smell something baking in the oven and it smelled like bread. I gave bestie a blow by blow of what happening in the kitchen til I finally told her we weren't leaving til I found out what it was: focaccia bread!! I asked the young lady how long before it was ready and she gave me the food news of only 11 minutes. I immediately stopped dining on my coffee cake so I would have room for it. My husband spent 3 years in Italy courtesy of the government and almost every morning I would get up at 4 to walk our Rottie. My reward for leaving our 4th floor walk up was fresh focaccia. While the focaccia here wasn't like what you would get in Italy, it was delicious too. We chose to get ours brushed with butter and parmesan. Bestie, hubby and I ate on it for 2 days! It was big and tasty! The other 2 bakery items I brought home were the almond croissant (OMG good!! Do NOT pass it up) that looked incongruous amongst all the other pretty pastries but was so sweet, airy and perfect. I wish I had bought more of those. The other was the Pan Au Raisan roll. This thing was so good I bet even my raisan hater hubby would have eaten it.This is one of the things I dislike about living in the country. Then again, if we lived in Norfolk I'd be bigger than our house out here in the country!"

This is a typical looking strip mall cafe, but they have embraced the Grecian vibe and it was clean and roomy. We had the place to ourselves (it was a cold Monday afternoon), but there was a constant carry out business going on. Service was great of course, since we had the waiter all to ourselves. We ordered Spanakopita (my daughter's craving) and grape leaves off the appetizer menu and then split a gyro. All very good, tasty and authentic. I recommend this place for a casual meal and I would visit again if I'm ever in the neighborhood."

The place itself is really shabby, small & hot inside. The slices of pizza are definitely mammoth size. The taste unremarkable. Canned & bottled drinks are available for purchase in the fridge. Honestly, everything was looking like it's been through some hard times. While I'm thankful they had a restroom, it was questionable. If you have ever been to hardcore/punk shows you know they aren't held in the best shape venues, (like King's Head back in the day) their restroom was almost at that level. The redeeming factor was the presence of paper towels, soap & running water.It was so hot & stifling inside that we sat at the high table outside where it was more comfortable. That too could use some TLC. The pizza itself is not that great, it wasn't memorable. The young lady working was pleasant. I'm not even sure how she tolerated working in that heat."

Carter, our server, was super nice and since it was our first time, she informed us of all the house made items that they make and how they pride themselves on making as much of their food from scratch.Since I knew I wanted wings, we quickly ordered the Bubba's Famous Traditional Wings, 18 count, which is served with 2 sauces. The Raspberry Chipotle sauce definitely stood out and Carter mentioned it was a sweet and smoky flavor but we decided on the Honey Chipotle BBQ and Hot sauce along with a half order of the Onion Rings.The Onion Rings came out first and they were the best I'd ever had from a restaurant, hands down. They were coated with seasoning and were very light and crispy! The half order only came with 6 rings but next time, I definitely will be ordering more. The wings were served soon after and were delicious!!!! The Honey Chipotle BBQ was sweet but had a wonderful, smoky, BBQ taste and the Hot wasn't like any other Hot wing I've ever tasted. The sauce was perfection! I love a nicely, coated, saucy wing and they did not disappoint! The wings were incredible!!! Definitely check out Bubba's 33 if you're in the mood for some absolutely amazing wings and great service."

You don't need any extra sauce but they will give you a side of sauce if you ask. The cheese and sauce were delicious. I wish this place was in Richmond so I could visit more often. "Gino's is an institution in the Red Mill area. Everyone who lives around there knows about it and knows the owner is a local. It's much larger inside than you'd think - a bar area and two large seating areas as well as a small patio off to the side of the entrance doors. Staff are always very friendly and welcoming. Their sandwiches are super solid. I love their Italian hoagies and subs and I've been here a few times for lunch specifically for a sandwich. My husband got the gyro and it was huge.You can choose any sub warm or cold and can add lettuce and tomato if you'd like which I always do.They're huge and easy enough to share or take half home to enjoy later. Pizza is very good and some of the best in the area and they have a huge menu with all the pasta dishes your heart could desire! They also serve cheesecake and cannolis inside."

I wasn't a big fan of the meatballs; they were on the dry side for my preference and I didn't care for the sauce. My bf enjoyed them. The pizza was really good! We tried each others and liked both slices. The cheese slice was one of the better plain cheese slices I've had! The flavor was good, it was a perfect amount of cheese, and the crust was on point. The Italian flag was yummy and I loved the spinach and juicy tomato bites. Prices were inexpensive as well! "We've been coming here for years, and somehow I've never reviewed it. This could be for the best though, as my early reviews lacked substantive detail or information. You come here for the pizza. That deep dish Chicago style pizza. The other pizzas do look good, and even tonight I heard some patrons commenting that their pizza was better than another local place that is known for great pizza. That being said, I've never ordered anything other than the deep dish. I've never been to Chicago, but from everything I've read, this pizza is the closest you'll come to true "Chicago" pizza outside of the Windy City. The other food is good, wings, gyros, etc. and I've sampled some of that, but I keep coming back for the pizza. It has a 45 minute cook time, so there's been a time or two I've called ahead to order it so we wouldn't be waiting. The walls are covered with all things Chicago. Bears, Cubs, Bulls, and Blackhawks are well repped. Pics of the skyline, local Chicago products help to make you feel like you're in a pizza place in the upper Midwest. The service is good, just keep in mind that it's a small family run joint. You may wait a beat or two, but they always give great and friendly service."

"We eat here quite a bit. Usually just the two of us but when we bring the family, we order several dishes and eat family style! We found that the food seemed better at this location compared to our visits to their older location. Some people seem to complain that the noise level is loud but it doesn't bother us. The service can be slow at times but I have to say the FOOD IS WORTH THE WAIT. I am originally from Chicago so I have to say are THE authentic Italian food in the area. Our absolute favorite dish that we always order is the Shrimp Ala Vodka!! The shrimp is cooked perfect and tender and the sauce and pasta is superb. We also like the veal chop parmigiana, fried ravioli, and fried mozzarella. Their caprese salad is huge enough to share. You can never go wrong with their spaghetti and meatballs. Their red gravy is so good! They will have a different kind of cheesecake each time we visit and of course our favorite cannoli. You will get bread with butter but we love dipping it in olive oil and Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper. They have a large wine list and delicious cocktail menu. Also, they are just as generous with their takeout dishes as they are if you dine in! We hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Make reservations!"

Eggplant Parmigiana - comes with garden salad (iceberg, romaine, shredded carrots, red onion, green pepper, raw mushrooms, shredded mozz cheese, olives) with choice of dressing (we chose balsamic) and garlic bread. The eggplant parm is two pieces of breaded eggplant topped with marinara and cheese. Spaghetti comes on the side. The sauce was tasty and tasted homemade. It was quite delicious and a generous serving.- Kids - I know I've mentioned this before in previous reviews, but I really dislike how restaurants give crappy options for kids, like kids menus are an afterthought. However, kids menus at Italian restaurants often reflect the same offerings for adults, because who doesn't love pastas, so it's a win here. My kids have had their pizzas, alfredo, spaghetti and meatballs, all winners both according to my kids and us! "I'm visiting family from NYC, and they took me out to Chesapeake Pizza. If you have a nostalgia for the 80s Pizza Huts, this is the closest thing around, but there are no juke boxes or Arcade games. Pizza is fresh and delicious. Also, we arrived on a Friday night and the place was packed. The waiting list moved fairly well and the staff who work here are very friendly, helpful and professional. The only reason I'm not 5 starting them is because they only take cash."
