"Hungover with a headache is how I entered Millie's on a Saturday morning. Buzzed and happily full of food is how I left. I got the huevos ranchero and the Moscow mule. The food was amazing but the Moscow mule brought me back to life. My husband got the Cajun mess and our waitress recommends the mess if you've never been which is what I will be getting next time. 10/10 recommend for food and service but it was the music that was the best!"
"Perfect brunch date and how cool that they were on Shark Tank. Went here twice-- first time with the bestie, second time on a couples date. Such a fun time for everyone! I cannot get over their mango preserve! Loved it with the fruits.Everything we ordered was delicious. We got the chesapeake benedict (yum!), chicken fried benedict, shrimp & grits, sledge skillet (amazing presentation), croissant basket, and a flight of virgin mimosas. It can get busy on the weekends so be sure to go early. Around noon on Saturday, it was about a 40 minute wait. The next Saturday, we were there at 10 am and were seated instantly.Definitely coming back and bringing more friends."

"I promise you this is the perfect tucked away gem the 757. The ambience is always top-tier rather you dining with a group of coworkers, you're wanting to grab a glass of wine or drink at the bar by yourself or have dinner with your family or shoot even a date! It like literally is the perfect setting for any environment. Our waitress was extremely sweet and helpful. She made sure she tended to our table and answered any questions that we may have had.. in the moment she was unsure about certain things she did not hesitate to double check and ask questions! I will always be a fan of street bistro ! Might I add this time of year? Their cinnamon mule is always top-tier"
"We walked in around 7pm on a Wednesday and added our name to a waitlist for an outdoor seat. We grabbed a drink at their back bar and enjoyed the incredible atmosphere: live music and sunset views. Our server was friendly and attentive, she made great recommendations all evening.Around :20 later our table was ready. We got straight into entrees and went with the pork chop and the special: yellowfin tuna steak. Both were excellent. The tuna accoutrements (pineapple, bacon, and soy infused rice) stole the show and were incredibly decadent. The pork chop came with a thick crusty sear that was super flavorful. The thick cut was juicy and a large enough portion that I barely ate half before passing the remainder to my husband to polish off.For dessert we had the pecan pie. More of a tart than a pie, the pecan flavor was exactly what you'd expect with a bourbon ice cream that was a great compliment. The tart (crust?) was hard and a little difficult to cut. The pork chop came with a cheese bread pudding side that was amazing in its own right.Overall we had an amazing experience with a wonderful atmosphere. The perfect place to relax and enjoy a night in Duck."
"We always have a great time when we come here. Yesterday we came and enjoyed a picture of the sangria, which was delightful refreshing. I ordered a combo of the flatbread with sausage and Burrata and wedge salad. The flatbread was absolutely delicious flavorful and this is my first time ever having a wedge salad. And despite never liking blue cheese, I'd rather enjoy it this time. My husband and I sat for a couple hours and enjoyed each other's company."
"Aromas Coffeehouse is a delightful little spot that offers a warm, inviting atmosphere, featuring excellent coffee and food. As soon as you step inside, you're enveloped in the intoxicating aroma of freshly brewed espresso. The decor has a quirky, eclectic vibe with mismatched furniture, brick walls, and local artwork adorning the space. It feels very homey and comfortable - the kind of place you could linger for hours over a good book or to get some work done. The mix of cozy couches and tables makes it easy to find the perfect nook.Of course, the coffee is the star of the show. They use premium beans sourced from around the world and roasted locally. Whether you go for a simple drip coffee, a velvety latte, or one of their creative house specials like the hazelnut white mocha, you can expect a delicious, high-quality brew. The staff are knowledgeable about their offerings and happy to make recommendations. The food menu features freshly baked pastries, sandwiches, salads and snacks that pair perfectly with the coffee. Some standout items are the flaky quiche, the hearty breakfast burritos, and the indulgent chocolate raspberry bread pudding. In addition to hot drinks, Aromas has a great selection of cold-pressed juices, smoothies, iced coffees and teas for the warmer months. While the vibe is relaxed, service can be a bit slow, during high summer season, due to the small size of the shop. However, that's a minor issue considering the charm and quality Aromas delivers.Whether you're a Williamsburg local or just visiting this historic, colonial town, this charming, cozy spot is well worth stopping into for a truly enjoyable coffee experience. Just ensure you leave plenty of time to savor the experience."
"Gourmet Burger Bistro has THE best burgers in Hampton Roads. That's it, that's the review. Just kidding. :)The owner, Major, calls himself the Burger King, and it's a well-deserved title. With the location, it seems like your average burger joint, and it's anything but that. I tried the Major Way, which the menu describes as "a hand-pressed patty topped with American cheese, smoked pork bacon, grilled onions, finished with lettuce, tomato, and our house-made DRIP sauce." Basically, it's my dream burger. The meat was so perfectly cooked, the onions caramelized just right and I love a good sauce! Plus, on my first visit, Major gave me and my bestie some of his sticky wings on the house. He was super friendly and you can tell he takes pride in his business. If you're looking for a good burger, get on over to Portsmouth now!"
"We stopped off here craving BBQ while running errands around town. It has a great local vibe and some interesting specials! I loved all the sauces and extra sides they offer. I got the ribs and the Wifey had the pork! Saucey and lovely, I'll have to come back and try the brisket."
"Delicious food, fantastic service, and one happy group of siblings. Each year that we travel to the Outer Banks, we forget to make reservations in a weeks in advance - if you want to eat here, I recommend doing so. However, upon our arrival, a kind couple was nice enough to move so that our party of seven could occupy the rest of the bar. We started off with the shrimp appetizer, the brussels sprouts, and the ciabatta. All delicious and well-portioned. For dinner, we had the ribeye, the tuna, the pork chop special with peaches, the lamb, the shrimp and grits, the crabcakes, the Mezze plate, and the portobello mushroom pasta dish. Everyone was very happy - especially the vegetarian in our group. We finished the night with a spiced pineapple cake, a peaches and cream cake and cannoli pie. All good - not our favorite part of the meal, but good. A solid evening out with great service!!"
"We have eaten here often when in town for conferences. Our visits have alway been fun and delicious. The vibe is inviting. You are treated like a favorite local. The food is amazing. Gastropub at its best."
"This is the second time we've been here and will become a regular spot when in the area.My family loves the ribs. Loves them. They were still full the next day.I had a house salad, which is pretty big and cheese fries. Portions are big. Prices are not bad. They don't take reservations, but they are pretty true to their wait time and keep it moving."
"Had a night without kids and decided on a last minute dinner date with the wife. Loved the appetizers more than the entrees. We ordered a dozen oysters that went quickly. Smaller in size but not too bad. All but one tasted good. Also ordered the chimichurri grilled octopus. The octopus was good but the chimichurri reminded me more on the curry side. Surprised how good the potatoes were with it.I ordered the pork chop and the wife ordered a NY strip. She asked for medium rare and got more medium. Service was ok prompt and didn't need to ask for refills, but nothing special. He grabbed our plates before we could say we were done.Beef carpaccio was good and the egg salad and arugula paired with it was delicious.Place is small but seemed clean and seated immediately even without reservations."

Having only been here once, this place has already become my new favorite spot for a savory breakfast! The menu features elevated breakfast dishes that I wouldn't typically make at home which is what I look for in a restaurant that serves breakfast. I tried the Lump Crab & Scrambled Egg* Enchilada and the Devil's Shrimp & Grits, and honestly, the shrimp and grits were the best I've ever had. OH! and the breakfast potatoes were also the best ever. The place is pretty small, so if you don't have a reservation, be ready for a wait. Luckily, it's near the river, so you can take a walk or hangout on a bench until your table's ready. After my amazing meal and eyeing up all the other yummy-looking dishes being served around me, I cannot wait to go back, and I haven't stopped recommending it to my friends!

We went Thursday night before Valentine's Day and had an amazing experience! I wish I'd gotten our servers name because he was super helpful and kind. He did everything he could to make our experience enjoyable. We got the pork belly bites which were delicious. Enjoyed the sauce so much we ate some of the cabbage below. I also love an opportunity to use chop sticks - so fun. I got a Pearadise (their special drink) which was balanced and beautiful. He ordered the steak and really enjoyed his meal. I got the French dip but would have preferred less bread and a more flavorful au jus. I added some of their seasoning and it was perfect. The fries were amazing and I love their ranch. We got an ice cream sundae. It was okay, but I'd probably opt for something more creative next time because the cookie was a little dry. To make getting something plain worth it I feel like it has to be nailed flawlessly. Overall, this is a great date night spot and opportunity to dress cute.

Great views and a fun little bar/waiting area. Definitely recommend reservation. Food was good, but not outstanding! My husband loved the tuna special. We started with the she crab soup, which was really delicious. We also got the gnocchi, which was okay. I didn't love that it was made with cornmeal... gave it a weird texture but the taste was good.

Tonight had the joy of going back to coopers but instead of wine tasting I ate in. The reservation process was super easy thru their app as I am a wine member. You can also make reservations on open table. The parking lot was full but valet was offered. We were greeted by Ricardo and Thomas who were super sweet. We were seated at a very cute round booth with the best server, Sophie! Her customer service was top tier. She was so knowledgeable and super accommodating with our eating and a picky teenager. We truly enjoyed our food and the company of our server. I even made a special request for my espresso martini to be made with tequila instead and they were so happy to get it done. The Bartender April really outdid herself with that one! The music played in the background was 90s soul and R&B and really did something to my spirit. Overall the restaurant was clean, the service was top tier and the plating and taste was amazing! Go enjoy Coopers but make sure you make a reservation!

Aroma is a warm and friendly café, with nice dark wood where historic drawings are displayed. You order at the counter and they call you when your food is ready. We found a turnaround time to be pretty quick considering how busy it was. Even though it was clearly busy it didn't feel busy or noisy. The portions for breakfast were very generous. I had the English muffin with ham, Swiss and eggs, and it was very tasty. My wife had the traditional breakfast platter with scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes and fresh bread. The potatoes had a great flavor and not overcooked. We peered at dishes other customers were having, and the portions were just as generous and again everything looked fresh. My only gripe is that the food was a bit cold from the counter - I didn't notice if there heat lamps. It's all impressive because there can be long lines and yet they still manage to get the orders right. And surprisingly fast. We wished we lived in the area. But we are only an hour away and will definitely return.

Visited for the first time to experience their weekend brunch menu. Their catfish, grits, & wings are a must try! Flavor profile is so good & what made it a plus is that the fried foods that I ordered wasn't too greasy & you could tell the grease was new & clean. I'd drive from VB to visit this place again.

This was my first time at County Grill and will not be my last. It was that good! We sat at the bar area because there was a wait and we were starving. Only one bartender was on duty but it did not compromise our service. You can tell the staff chips in to help each other. That makes the whole experience even better. The restaurant is in a strip mall. It's very much what you would expect from a BBQ restaurant as far as the interior. We started with the wings which were smoked but not overly smoked. It was just enough so that the sauce was not overwhelming. We got the tequila lime and bourbon honey. Neither disappointed. Being that this was the first time there, we wanted everything so decided to get the 2 meat option dinner that comes with two sides. It was more than enough for 2 people and a meal to take home. The brisket and ribs were so tender. We also got the pulled pork which was so tasty and the half chicken, which was really good too. Everything was flavorful and juicy. For me, good BBQ isn't good unless the sides are chefs kiss good. This place doesn't miss! The potato salad wasn't exactly what I expected - it's definitely like a loaded baked potato salad. Not the typical mayo base like I was expecting however I was not disappointed! The baked beans - delicious. Cole slaw - everything you want it to be with BBQ. I also got fried okra bc it's just my favorite. The cornbread muffins and honey butter are a must! You have to try all the BBQ sauces. I think the mustard was my favorite. And last but not least... the banana pudding which takes a few minutes bc each one is made just for you! Talk about feeling special at the end of a meal. Needless to say, come with an empty stomach bc you're gonna want to try everything! Great service, great foo and good times! Will be back for sure!

"We came here for dinner and it was a great experience! We were seated right away for a party of 3. Our waiter was great and did not rush us when we were waiting for our last person to meet us. The food was delicious! For an appetizer we got the buffalo cauliflower which was good but wish it came with extra sauce or ranch to dip in. The charcuterie board was also amazing and had a great selection of meats, cheeses, and fruits. We all loved our dinner entree's too! Pork schnitzel and the steak was phenomenal. We will definitely be back!"
"Wow! I loved everything about Still. The ambiance is so cool. It has a speakeasy vibe as you enter through a door on the side of a house. As you enter the restaurant, you see a bar and lounge. The dining area feels like you're relaxing over a meal in a friend's house. The variety on the menu was fantastic! We tried the bacon wrapped tots, vegetable potstickers, and charcuterie board as appetizers. Great portions for appetizers and prepared perfectly. For meals we got the cast iron filet with mashed potatoes and meatloaf with asparagus. It was one of the best meals I've ever had. Desserts were absolutely delicious as well. Everything was absolutely perfect from the service to the options to the preparation. We're so glad that we found Still and plan to go back regularly!"
"I've been to Maggie's a few times before and stopped going for a while due to having an unpleasant experience a couple of years ago. Since we were hungry and hadn't been in a while, we decided to return in hopes that things had improved.Since it was rainy, it wasn't busy at all and we were seated right away. Our server was super nice and took our drink orders. I decided on a Spicy Mango Margarita and it was amazing! For my entree, I ordered the BBQ Brisket and chose the Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Mac & Cheese for my sides and my boyfriend decided on the BBQ Brisket sandwich. The food came out fairly quickly and as soon as the server noticed how little fries he was given with his sandwich, she graciously brought out more. The BBQ Brisket was tender but a little too salty for my liking. I also would have preferred a little less bbq sauce as well, it was very saucy. The Mac & Cheese unfortunately wasn't salty enough and lacked some flavor so I found myself eating the brisket and Mac together to balance out the flavors. The Brussels Sprouts were cooked very well and tasted great.Overall, I'm glad we went back and gave it another chance because the server was really nice and the experience was way better this time than the last so I definitely will be returning if I'm ever in the area."
"We treated my friend to a restaurant of her choice for her birthday and this place was the winner! They don't take reservations for smaller groups, it's a first come first serve basis. We arrived at 5:30pm ish for a party of 3 and we were immediately seated (Saturday in July) .All the staff were very friendly and wished my friend a Happy Birthday! (We had given her a birthday crown & sash. hehe) It was nice of them to kindly acknowledge it, which added to the comfy & welcoming dinner experience! They also willingly took a group photo of us. Some of us ordered the watermelon cooler, which was okay. I didn't find it very flavorful or as refreshing as I had anticipated. A cheese board was ordered & that was tasty. I was highly disappointed that the crab pot pie was sold out! So our server recommended the Blackened Mahi Oscar with crab meat on top. It was delicious! The mahi was cooked perfectly, moist, not dry & not soggy. The crab meat was a decent amount and the dish overall tasted scrumptious! My friend had the crab cake entree and she devoured it! We all went for dessert- the triple chocolate cake, the double chocolate goat cheese cheesecake & the mandarin orange cake. We all respectively enjoyed our choices. The cakes were moist and a decent size. Although the chocolate slice did look a bit bigger than the orange one. The mandarin orange cake was very aromatic! The smell of citrus pleasantly hits you. It wasn't overly sweet and it was refreshing! I'm not a fan of cheesecake but I had a sample of my sister's and it was really good! It's a cozy restaurant that's also a wine & cheese shop. There's a small dining area on the first floor to the right, outdoor seating with a sun sail for shade and more seating up a flight of stairs."
"Nice atmosphere, but the front of house service time was absolutely insane. 1 hour until food arrived at the table, roughly 40 minutes for the kitchen to push it out. From the look of it, they seem very understaffed.I couldn't tell if there was only one person in the kitchen or not, but she also seemed to be waiting tables. If you're understaffed, make sure to not take on more tables than able. The food was good but not memorable."
"I've never been to Virginia Beach, but if all restaurants are like this one, I'm moving here!! I have never had such amazing food and beer anywhere! The beer menu was extensive, and the food menu was full of delicious options. My coworker had the seafood pasta, which looked fresh and she loved. The chicken tacos were unreal - breaded chicken tenders with honey chipotle sauce, slaw, and some awesome Mexican spiced pasta salad. But honestly - and this is odd - the star of the show was the Pineapple Grenade wheat beer. It was so light, so fruity and so refreshing!! We also had the miso caramel ice cream sandwich, which was unreal!!If you're in the area, EAT HERE! (I may be back tomorrow!)"
"I have no idea what witchcraft they use, but each bite is better than the bite before! It MUST be magic! My friend and I recently had dinner here before an event. We mentioned our plans to our server James, who made sure every timing detail was worked through for us. The first course was a sample of an appetizer from the chef. I immediately asked if the chef was married! Then we ordered a few appetizers so we could sample a good variety of options. The portions were generous, the presentation was flawless, and the layers of flavors were nearly orgasmic! We finished off with dessert. The cheesecake with bananas foster on top was unparalleled. It was the best cheesecake I have ever eaten, bar none. Both my friend and I got goosebumps, our eyes closed, and we couldn't speak because we were overcome by the incredible flavor sensations! The place is tiny - as in miniscule. I made reservations 4 days ahead and the only option was bar seating, so do yourself a favor and plan accordingly. Make your reservation well in advance. The food, service, and atmosphere, are perfect in this well-hidden jewel. I wish the restaurant was 4x larger than it is. They could fill it every night. The prices are a little high but you get what you pay for and I am more than willing to pay for this kind of gastric fantasy.Congratulations to Circa 1918! You've set the bar for fine dining in Newport News!"
"This is a classy restaurant with very attentive staff. The steaks were delicious and the presentation was very nice as well. I am looking forward to another meal here in the future."
"In town for our daughters track meet, we decided on a whim to swing by Barrel 17 for something to eat. I got the specialty burger of the night, The Vibe Burger - cooked perfectly medium, with caramelized onions and fried mozzarella on top. It was delicious. I got a side of onion rings that were good as well and casually dipped them in their burger sauce. . Being greedy, I also ordered the Wagyu meatballs & fried mozzarella. From what I tasted, it was good, but I was so full off the burger that I couldn't enjoy it like I should've, nor could I come remotely close to finishing my meal. My daughter got chicken tenders & fries that she liked a lot, and my Wife got a steak salad that she raved about, not only because it was cooked at the perfect temperature, but because it came with so much steak, and was so filling. That on top of really good service from the bartender, who was attentive to our needs despite the crowd - they were very busy - I just didn't feel it because everyone from the wait staff, to the cooks, to the bartenders seemed to be working in unison. Did I mention my Wife left happy?Happy Wife, happy Jamar. 5 Stars."
"As the old saying goes, "You should not judge a book by it's cover". The rule applies to EAT Bistro as well. Hands down, a 5 star dining experience. From the moment you are seated to the time you pay the check, this restaurant's menu will entertain your taste buds. I had the 14oz bone-in pork chop. It's probably one of the best pork chops Inhabe ever eaten. The center was cooked to a perfect warm temp. The chop was well seasoned. The apple butter topijg was a nice addition. The brussel sprouts were great. The second star of the meal was the savory cauliflower cobbler with puff pastry. It was well executed and seasoned perfectly. This is a must stop if you are in Virginia Beach. Bon Apetit."
"I love this cozy local haunt. You can find The Hill Café in Church Hill. There is free parallel street parking out front and nearby. You can also take the bus or bike here.My bestie and I came for RVA Brunch Weekend. They open at 10:30am on Sundays. We got there a little early so stopped by Riverbend Roastery to grab a drink nearby. We were seated quickly at a very cute two person booth. There is plenty of seating here, both inside and outside. We loved our server. She was super sweet and made us feel welcome. I love when you don't feel rushed at a place, but also very taken care of. I ordered 2 Eggs your way and my friend got the Fried Green Tomato BLT sandwich. I'm rarely a home fries person, but I really liked their home fries here. I also really enjoyed my biscuit. My friend adored her sandwich and the potato salad. I highly recommend brunch at The Hill Café."
"5 stars all around. Great service and wonderful food. We enjoyed the lobster sausage appetizer, ribeye steak, halibut, and carrot cake. It's is a new favorite spot -- beats out Byrd and Baldwin for a date night. Simple things to be aware of: complementary valet parking (if you forget or don't have cash, you can add the valet tip to your bill at the end and your server will bring you cash from the bar to hand to the valet -- who at least for us was a very respectful young college student who was quickly met us once we pulled up and quickly brought us our car.) Yes, gratuity (20%) is added to your bill, which is clearly stated on the menu and if you read just a handful of reviews of Zoes -- shouldn't be a surprise at bill time."
"Lots of pancake houses to choose from. This is where we landed and it didn't disappoint. Delicious pancakes like maybe the best I've ever had. Home fries, eggs, biscuits and gravy.... All amazing. Super friendly people."
"Amazing little neighborhood diner that we will absolutely keep coming back to. I am so excited that we found this place, less than a mile from the house. We are already planning a walk here next time.Service was great, food was the perfect home-cooked, delicious flavors that you expect from diner breakfast. Prices are also super fair. Consider us the new regulars."
"Yum yum yum! The food here is so great. I tried the big fish sandwich and it is BIG and delicious. Our server was very nice and attentive. Look forward to going back!"
"Fin Seafood on William Tyron Square, Newport News, VA, was the restaurant chosen to hold the Celebration of Life for my brother-in-law who passed away suddenly last month. We arranged to use their back dining room for his family, friends and colleagues, who spoke eloquently from the heart about how much Bill meant to each of them as husband, father, step father, friend, university colleague, mentor and neighbor. Fin's small catering was flawless. We didn't need much for the two hour fete. A few bottles of good wine and an open bar; fresh crab cake sliders without filler, shrimp in spicy mayo on a spoon, and a wooden tray with assortment of charcuterie. All perfectly prepared as soft background complements to our solemn occasion. We will no doubt return to Fin Seafood on a more joyous occasion when we can relax and laugh over more mellow remembrances of life. Still, we will always appreciate how they handled this most meaningful day for us."
"Food was great-- easy stop off of 95. Service was great. Big biscuit-- though I can't rate it because it was under the eggs etc. The arugula was a very nice touch on the Southern Benny (pork belly Benedict). The fruit was very good even though it's the middle of winter. Tasty black coffee. Lots of fun breakfast items like strawberry shortcake pancakes and winter drinks to try."
"Great food with wonderful service. Great brunch spot for families and friends. There was about a 20 minute wait, but it was worth it."
"Great food in a great atmosphere. Highly trained and professional waitstaff. This is a gem."
"Hair of the dog- I have learned now over the years is kind of touch and go! This used to be one of my favorite breakfast spots, and the only reason I keep trying them is because I have had some of my best dishes here .I had a boozy iced coffee flight- they definitely did not skip out on the liquor, however, a lot of it was a little bit too sweet for me.I ordered the Benedict flight and had to have it remade twice because they could not get the eggs correct. I ended up not eating most of it, because outside of the eggs it was still just as bad. However, I have had some of the dishes on the Benedict flight separately in the past and they have been phenomenal. I want to just say they were having an off day."
"The food was delicious, portion size was great, service was amazing! We went in a little after 8pm on a Saturday and they were glad to seat us. Beautiful, clean restaurant. The vegetable pot pie was delicious!"
"Beautiful location for this lovely restaurant! Nestled along a beautiful strip of eclectic shops and glorious hydrangea gardens. Pure white lambs ear hydrangeas adorn every corner! Lovely water view and yes!, a lovely server as well! Friendly, and welcoming. Food is good.Ambience is great!Definitely worth the drive!"
"Service is fantastic. The atmosphere is fun with nice decor. We were a little hesitant because we were unsure if the prices were about to be upscale when we were honestly looking to just chill and catch up; however, we were pleasantly surprised to see the menu was more of small, shared plates like tapas: hot or cold. The menu seems quite diverse; however, the food looks executed well. If you want to complain about the pricing, please realize just how close the establishment is to the beach and tourism. A tourist trap? Maybe, but at least the drinks are delicious and food is seasoned well. Typically I find fried potstickers a crime; however, we ended up ordering another round because the simple sauce and magnificent crunch made this the star of our evening. The sliders were tasty, but the pimento was more mayo-forward. The pulled pork was moist and tasted great. Call me basic but we ended up sharing a flatbread, and it was soft with plenty of cheese and fairly sauced. Upon arrival, it looked basic, but the texture and flavors made it a great pizza to share. Our cocktails were served in cool glassware with fine presentation. The flavors were enjoyable, and I don't really drink anymore. I would return here and honestly venture into the chicken vindaloo, smoky chicharrons, and seared local catch. They have outdoor seating if the weather is nice. It was a fun experience overall, so it's a great spot to chill and hang out while snacking on shared plates and sipping on a cocktail."
