Terry B. "After six hours on our feet at Colonial Williamsburg, we were ready for food, and assumed we would be eating at one of the park's taverns. It turned out that the food options were either closed for some special event or closed because they were just closed. A very helpful park employee urged us to skip the park food altogether and head to the north end, where independent restaurants were serving better food at a reasonable price. One we had noticed before was, of course, closed Tuesdays, but when we walked up to Berret's we knew we had found the place. Our waitress Marnie, it turns out, was born on Long Island, but moved out as a child. The decor was perfect for getting us in a seafood mood, and I was quick to check out one of the many craft beers from the area. I ordered brie en crote with grilled shrimp and Donna got a crab cake with the obligatory grits. We always skip breakfast, so we had just enough room left to try the bread pudding with berry sauce. The food was, at all times, a treat for the eye and the pallet. A lovely experience."

Yvonne M. "I went to this place for a Christmas wreath making event. This is a nice little brewery type restaurant place that doubles as a place that does little side events. I had a blast and made. super cute wreath too.My daughter ordered some wings and said they were really delicious. It took everything out of me to not sneak one. I absolutely will come back to experience the brewery and sample something off the menu."

Terri A. "As the only live country music spot, it would be great to see some upgrades done!! Even with low lights and a packed house....you could still see the "old and worn" status. I guess I was hoping for a Texas or Nashville kind of facility (because it truly is the ONLY one in Tidewater!) but it just looked like a work our bar that hosts live music. Staff is great! Prices are fair!! Just maybe throw some money back into it -?!?!!"

Trent L. "Before I begin I would like to say that this review is based solely upon my personal experiences and my personal experiences alone, so with that being said let's get to it!. My wife and I came here to celebrate her birthday and we decided to invite a bunch of our close friends and family to join us on this special occasion!.We arrived and were then quickly led over by to the reservation area where tables were set up for us. As the guests started to arrive everyone started ordering their food and beverages. At first we only had one waitress and it was a lot for her because the waiting time to put in our orders was a little lengthy. But we spoke with the one of the owners and he kindly provided us with another waitress. The food and beverages were flowing nicely at this point and we all enjoyed each other with conversation and laughter. The night ended with the infamous happy birthday song. My wife enjoyed herself and we plan to return for other events. Let me add that this restaurant is in a great location in the Old Towne neighborhood of downtown Portsmouth. Right by the water. If you're ever in the area please stop by and check them out!.Before I go I would like to add, try the jerk chicken egg rolls.. ( a must try )they come with a spicy dipping sauce. The sauce is a little spicy depending on your spice tolerance level."

Jessica L. "This is for the Drag Brunch:The food options were kinda limited, and none of the options looked particularly appealing to me. I ended up ordering The Hangry Bitch, and I asked if they could do my eggs scrambled with cheese instead of over hard. The server said they couldn't do that, so I just got it as is. It came out with a boiled egg, which was really odd, but I ate it. Three of my friends got the same thing, but theirs had an over hard egg (not boiled like mine was). It was weird to me though. The service was really good- they were thorough and attentive without being in our way during the show. They both seemed to enjoy themselves a little and were very friendly to me and my group.I've been here for the drag brunch before covid, and I felt like their mimosas were mostly juice, which is surprising, because my dranks are usually super strong when I go to the gay clubs. The mimosas are still the same, and we ordered a tower to share. It was mostly all juice (very orange looking) and the champagne tasted flat to me, which made me think we didn't get an entire bottle in the tower (waste of money). We did get some tequila shots, and while they did go down smooth, I was shocked when I got my bill ($14 per shot?!), but that's my own fault for not asking. The show was great, and Jazzlyn (spelling?) is always my favorite no matter where I see her- she's sweet, funny, always performs the most wild and fun music and she got my group going! We wanted to see more of Jazz! Talk about showering someone with some bills- that's me when Jazzlyn comes out to perform. It was wonderful to see all the beautiful queens perform, and we really enjoyed ourselves. Everyone needs to come for the show, if nothing else (although everyone has to buy an entree and a drink, alcoholic or non, for the show- business has gotta stay open somehow). It's a whole brunch & a show. Worth the time & money, in my humble opinion!"

Kelsey M. "I've gone here a few times with my boyfriend and his friends, and each time has been enjoyable! I've only gone on Mondays for their $1 slices, which is such a great deal, and the slices are bigger than I expected. They have 7-foot pool tables upstairs that take quarters, which is perfect if you're in the mood to play. The service has never been slow."
