"This restaurant is situated inside the first floor of the Hilton hotel, next to the lounge area, so it has a fancy atmosphere but outsiders who are not booked with the hotel can come in and eat even though it's inside. This place comes with a bar that has TVs so if you feel like winding down with some sports and a drink, you can. They serve a good but not too overwhelming selection of dishes at prices comparable to other sit down restaurants despite the fancy atmosphere. The indoor seating is in the smaller end but you can also be seated outside, where you get a view of the water! The appetizers and the pastas we ordered were really good (I ordered the Crema de Fungi, for all the mushroom and truffle lovers out there). We had a calamari dish for our appetizer that is partially eaten in our pictures. I could have eaten a bowl full of it. It was delicious! Beyond pastas, there's also pizzas and you can make your own pizza if you'd like. There are probably other items in the menu I'm failing to mention, but those are the big ones.Highly recommend this place! The staff is accommodating, the atmosphere is nice, and eating inside a hotel just feels a touch fancy. ;)"
"Wow! Im adding this to my list of favorite restaurants. If you're reading this, go to Ten10! What are you waiting for?!The restaurant is clean and spacious, and the owners were so kind. There was one person on the grill, so there was a little wait to get our food, but it was so worth it! (That's coming from someone who can go from hungry to hangry in a blink. I don't say that lightly lol)Everything on the menu is $10 or less, except the platters which are $15, and the portions were huge. I left feeling so full and still having more for lunch tomorrow. We ordered Mediterranean options, so that's what I'll describe, but they also had NY style pizza and other American food. There's something for everyone to enjoy. Lentil soup is my favorite soup, so I had to try it. It was delicious, and the fried pita croutons gave it a beautiful crunch. The hummus was bursting with flavor. I love how tart the mint lemonade is. We came here specifically to try the falafel, and I was not disappointed. Everything was delicious and plated beautifully. Ten10 is going to be our go-to Mediterranean spot from now on. We'll definitely be back and soon!"

"My first time at the Hilltop location. The Hilltop location has plenty of parking and is well lit inside. Staff was friendly and expeditious. I had dinner with a friend and family, we all enjoyed our respective dishes. I had the chicken tawook which was plentiful and had a hint of vinegar. The chocolate cake was rich, huge and delicious. I had to take the rest home. Their garlic fries are tasty and savory."
"Terrific lunch option in Manteo that I would highly recommend. They have some seating by the window where you can look out at the water. To start out, we shared the dolmades which were topped with feta cheese. These were delicious! They gave a generous portion (~8) and they were made to perfection. The rice, mint, and whatever else is in those dolmades was cooked very well. I than had gazpacho soup with a Chicken gyro sandwich for my main entree. The gazpacho was topped with feta cheese and had a wonderful tomato/cucumber refreshing taste. Hit the spot on a hot day. The chicken pita was outstanding. Fresh tzatziki sauce and the chicken was juicy. Service was pretty good, as our waitress was friendly and food came out in a reasonable amount of time. If I am back in the area, I will certainly return!"
"What an incredible visit my wife and I had. You get a good feeling about a restaurant when you hear things like "That was good." I can see why this place is so popular.Sefer our server was excellent. He had served us on a prior visit and it was a nice touch that he recognized me. He's kind considerate, and gave great recommendations. I took my wife here for restaurant week and Baladi did NOT disappoint. They had a plethora of soup options and two entrée options. I ordered the chicken Shawermah and my wife ordered the same. I had the Kaila lamb soup and my wife ordered the chicken potato soup. Both of the soups were delicious, but I definitely had a preference for my wife's chicken and potato soup. It was excellent! The chicken was super tender and the taste of cardamom sent my tastebuds into ecstasy. Shortly after our soups came our entrées were on our table. I was mesmerized by the plating. I could immediately tell that the chef gave great care to the placement of each ingredient. This was the first time in a long time that I smiled after taking a bite of food. The flavors married together incredibly! The entrees came with pita bread and refills were free. The portion size was great and I was pleased that I had half to take home and enjoy. For $20 a person this is a deal that's hard to beat. This deal is a gem for restaurant week and Baladi is a gem for the Hampton Roads area. I 100% recommend!"
"We have dines in 3 times and I am waiting on delivery as I write this review. Excellent food consistently prepared."
"Yum! We finally tried this staple. We came in a lazy weekday evening with mild weather and sat out on the patio for a nice dinner. Our server was excellent and took very good care of us. We started with the fattoush salad and the hummus with pita chips and upgrade add cucumbers for $1. Totally worth it. The hummus was very good and cucumbers fresh and crispy. A table nearby recommended everything but we saw a salmon BLT with onion rings and chose to split that. It's a huge sandwich with bacon and a delicious aioli for dipping on the side. The bacon was stellar - the salmon not so much. A bit fishy tasting for my taste. Probably won't try that again. I saw a lot of options on the menu for handhelds, entrees and tons of small plates and appetizers. I want to try their pepper tuna next time! Inside is a bit dark for my taste but they have a large bar area and tons of seating. They were doing a murder mystery dinner while we were there so that was fun to watch. Might have to come check that out sometime. They also host Sunday drag brunch so I am gonna need to come do this with my bestie soon."
"This place is legit! GREAT customer service and the food is deeeelishhh! The place has been open for a year but I just saw it when visiting a store near by. I walked in and the owner greeted me with the warmest welcome. He broke down the menu and talked about how in Israel Shawarma spots our plentiful and he takes great pride bringing a taste of home to the 757.I ordered a bowl with all the toppings. They weren't stinging on the portions either. The second time around, I had the chicken kebab platter. It came with well seasoned chicken, rice and 2 sides. I've had the Turkish salad, hummus, and an eggplant dish. Everything was yummmmy! Very healthy and fulfilling. They also serve pizzas which I will try next. But if you are ever in the area, please check them out."
"I've been to a different location in Va Beach and swore I'd never come back - but today I tried the Newport News location and it was a completely different vibe. Kecia took care of me and when I tell you that I'm those 3 minutes of my clumsy decision making she made me feel like I was family. Honestly, I don't think I have experienced better customer service. But I know why- good leadership roles downhill... thank you Shake - because everyone there was professional, friendly and gave top service. Happy New Year NN Cava!!!!"
"This place is a hidden Gem!!! The Owner greeted me as soon as I walked in, offered suggestions and then went to cook the order. I got the fish dinner with collards & potato salad. I also ask for tartar sauce and the owner said you're not going to need tartar sauce... the fish is flavored well. Let me say, "HE WAS RIGHT" DELICIOUS!!! I also got the lemon cake. This is my new favorite place. A neighborhood To-Go spot serving Lake Trout, Croakers, Spot, Catfish, Shrimp, Oysters & Crab Legs with sides. He's been there for 30 yrs... I didn't know! Well...I'm going to make up for lost time."
"Food: 10/10Service: 10/10Ambiance: 10/10 My friend if I can give everyone in this establishment hugs and kisses for how delicious their food is, I absolutely would."
"The Hilton Village strip has a new player in town - well, not really. The folks at Spuntini were a staple of our Hilton Village Farmer's Market before they took over the old cupcake shop that used to be on the strip. They've completely transformed the space into an artisanal bakery/coffee shop. The vibe is awesome and the food is even better. My kids are addicted to their rosemary garlic sourdough! I've also tried the fig and cranberry breads with baked brie and they are fabulous. They recently started serving small plates/sandwiches for lunch, and they have a variety of other goods - local cheese, crackers, desserts. If you're looking to put together a local charcuterie board - this is your place! And the owners couldn't be nicer - it's just a fabulous addition to the neighborhood. Check it out!"

Very nice! It's been about three times now since my husband and I have dined here. I wanted to give this place a try ever since I saw the sign from Main Street advertising this place is opening soon. I think I even stalked the IG page. Nevertheless, three dining experiences later, I love it here!My husband and I have dined at the bar top twice and one in the booth dining area. Needless to say, we are fans for the bar seating. Now, not the two baby bar seats, but the high top seating! The decor is gorgeous. Super inviting and welcoming :)The waitstaff there is amazing and attentive. I must mention our last dining experience was a bit lack luster, but the waitress made it better by the time we left the restaurant. I must say we are fans of the change Hilton has made to their onsite restaurant. It was also great to see some familiar faces remain even though this new restaurant is here.I am not sure if this pizza is considered Neapolitan style, wood fired, but I will get this pizza every time. And the way my stomach is set up, I eat a little at the bar and take some home for later. As a result, order a large. It's sooo yummy! My husband has tried the salads and spaghetti - pleased.I believe we shared a chicken sandwich from the appetizer menu, just to try it out, that was yummy too! Great atmosphere!Plenty of parking... Saturdays and game nights this place is busy, but they usually are good about getting people seated. We have never experienced a wait. But if you love pizza, try it out.In my mind, this is a healthier pizza :)Have fun and enjoy life :)

Great little place that's family run. It was busy even at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. We started with the spicy feta dip which was delicious followed by a falafel gyro and a regular gyro.

Anatolia is everything an Armenian/ Turkish cafe should be. It's authentic to the culture from the moment you walk in the door. The service, the ambiance, the flavor. Anatolia has it all. I was transported to another world having small conversations with the table next to us while enjoying the intimate atmosphere. We had the Manti, Zucchini pancakes, Turkish coffee, chocolate baklava, an Armenian semi- sweet wine, and an Armenian beer. All were absolutely amazing. Their flavors blend together well while maintaining each individual integrity. I absolutely can't wait to go back.

We stopped by Croc's for the famous (or infamous) Drag Brunch. Overall, the hubby and I had a nice time, and it was nice to try something a bit different. This probably was the first drag show that I attended before 6 pm. Random thought: I wonder how early the queens had to wake up to do their hair and makeup. While some drag queens performances were better than others, I thought everyone did a fine job. The hostess of the evening . . . afternoon did a great job keeping the crowd engaged with her humor and leading some audience contest (eg a twerk-off). I have to admit that food was just ok, and really wasn't anything to write home (or Yelp) about. Our spread tasted like was previously prepared and merely warmed up before service. . . kind of like what happens at an airport restaurant. But I guess that you attend this event more for the entertainment than the food. While the food was not out of this world amazing, the drinks sure were delicious. If I ever return, The Botox (gin, St. Elder, and champagne) will be my go-to beverage. Also, Joey was a wonderful bartender. All in all, I think this is a great event to attend and try a "nonconventional" brunch experience at least once. Also, it's highly recommended that you make reservations.

You'll find excellent food and excellent service at Shawarma Shack. I loved how you can customize your wraps and bowls. There are a lot of toppings to choose from. I customized my lamb & beef wrap and it was delicious! The staff also gave us some free items to try which was very generous of them. The chocolate Baklava is a must try!

"AwesomeGood food, awesome service. Really enjoyed my Pizza and the Chicken Parm!Food was ready in a timely matter and even the salads were delicious."
"We stopped by Leila's to try some things on the menu. Its a store and restaurant with different Middle eastern foods, breads, drinks, and etc. When we walked in we were greeted and offered menus. We got the chicken gyro, chicken tawook, and beef gyros. I also ordered a side of rice and tatziki with pita chips. The prices are very reasonable.. I went and waited in the car. The food was ready in about 8 minutes and the gentlemen brought it out to my car, which was very nice.I liked the chicken gyro. It was different textures because of the toppings with a good taste and crunch. The chicken tawook was also good. I liked the beef as well, it was tender and the sauce on it was good. The hummas and tzatziki sauce tasted good also. It made the gyros better. I like that the gyros are rolled kinda long and thin so its easy to eat without everything spilling out. You could easily eat it and drive. The rice was cooked just right. It had no flavor at all, but it was somehow still good... I'd return to try other things. If your looking to try some different foods, this is a good place to try... I got some drinks and a few were good, but one was to sweet. I had fun picking out random things to try though. 4 stars!!"
"I ordered the Pick 2 - side salad and wrap. I paid to upgrade my salad choice and to get a premium wrap. My side salad choice was the peasant salad with balsamic and EVOO dressing, and it was huge and included cucumber, red onion, romaine, tomato, and feta. This salad was so fresh! The premium wrap I chose was the chicken tawook wrap and I added extra chicken. The chicken was seasoned and marinated nicely and the wrap had cabbage, tomatoes, pickles, parsley and a touch of mama Lina dressing. The wrap is served warm, too! So good! They also make pizzas, burgers, soups, gyros, and several desserts. They also offer a lot of gluten free options!"
"I grabbed lunch here the other day. I tried the lentil soup and chicken shawarma meal. It comes with a grilled pita, but I didn't try it. They give a lot of rice. There were some tomato slices and a few carrots and peas in the rice. The chicken shawarma had decent flavor. The soup was not as flavorful as I'd hoped. I ended up pouring it over my shawarma and rice. They have some other meats so I might go back and try one of them. They have tables for seating. They also serve some Mediterranean pastries, like baklava. The young lady who took my order was kind. She answered my questions. It took awhile to get my food seeing as it was only chicken, rice, and soup."
"Charlie's Middle Eastern Cuisine opened quietly on the date of November 19th and was billed by one source as "The first upscale Kosher Meditarranean restaurant in town."It took over the spot formerly occupied by Charlie's Cafe in a building that was first built in 1904. It was originally a Victorian style home that later became a confectionary and then later became the diner that was Charlie's Cafe.It is stationed at the corner of 18th & Granby Street and adjacent to the Old Point National Bank. On street parking is available on Granby Street and a few spots can be found on 18th Street. The adjacent parking lot is reserved for bank customers only. The restaurant is under the supervision of a group of local Rabbis. A letter of Kosher Certification is posted on their wall inside from Vaad Hakashrus of Tidewater. Their executive chef is Yogev Karmisi, who is very friendly and passionate about his cooking.A friendly greeting awaits you as you walk in. Their main dining area is the indoor patio in the rear, which was added on to the original Charlie's Cafe. They still appear to be tweaking their menu. They only had one menu during my first visit. During my next two visits, I was given their Lunch menu, which runs until 5 pm. You can still order from their Dinner menu on request. Some of the menu items listed during my first visit are no longer being served. These include the Tataki Tuna, Carpaccio Salmon, and their Hummus from the Nishnushim (Appetizers) section of their menu. I am hoping that their Hummus will make a return. After three lunch time visits, I have tried the following:PITA BREAD: A warm and tender serving of Pita Bread, topped with a delicious Olive Oil Tapenade, came with each order. My Rating: 5 Stars.SIDE SALADS: These came with each order as well. The assortment was awesome, and they were all too numerous to name. My Rating: 5 Stars.CHARLIE'S SHAWARMA: I ordered this one from the main dish Plates Menu during my first visit, but it now appears to be listed on their Dinner Menu only. You can still order it for Lunch on request. The Shawarma meat was Chicken. It was served with Grilled Onion, Tomato, and a Jalapeno Pepper, layered over Pita Bread. It came with your choice of a side, and I chose the Rice. All the flavors and textures came through beautifully. The Pita Bread layered underneath had become a bit dry. My Rating: 4.5 Stars.MOROCCAN CIGARS: This was an entry from the Nishnushim (Appetizers) section of their menu and was ordered during my second visit. The "Cigars" consisted of a homemade ground beef mix wrapped inside a delicately crispy wrapping. They are served with two different sauces, each one with their own distinctive flavor. My Rating: 5 Stars.HOT DOG: I wasn't very hungry for my third visit, so I ordered this entry from the Kids Menu. This one came with two dogs without buns, and grilled onions on the side. It also came with your choice of one side, and mine was the Rice. The dogs lacked the "snap" and flavor I was hoping for. The Rice was a Yellow Rice that was fluffy and delicious. My Rating: 3.5 Stars.LEMONANA: This was listed under the Beverage section of their menu. It was served in an ice cold slushie form with fresh lemon and mint whose flavors came through powerfully. My Rating 5 Stars.MALABI: Ordered from their Dessert menu, this one is a Smooth Middle Eastern Milk Pudding with Rose Water and a Drizzle of Fruit Syrup. It is believed to have first originated with Arab cuisine during the 7th century. Their version was profoundly delicious. My Rating: 5 Stars. My service has been excellent with each visit. My composite food rating came out to about 4.7 Stars, which rounds up easily to my 5 Star rating. I will be looking forward to my future visits."
"If you love good Mediterranean cuisine, check out Istanbul Gyro & Kebab located just off Brambleton Avenue across the street from the Scope in the heart of downtown Norfolk. These guys are doing it right. They are serving up authentic Mediterranean food that will absolutely amaze you. I'm a big fan of their Kebabs, especially the kind served in the warm pita bread and topped with Taziki sauce. It's so yummy, I don't know the words to describe it."
"Ok guys let's give this neighborhood Mediterranean spot some love! There's 2 new location, one in Chesapeake and the other in Portsmouth. This location is in the Food Lion neighborhood off of Atlantic Ave.The concept at Ten10 is most meals are $10! Subs, bowls, platters, salads. The owner and staff were super friendly and helpful. They are happy to answer in questions you have. The space is spacious enough for large parties. I ordered a chicken kabob platter which comes with rice, salad, pepper and onions, hummus and pita. The bowl is minus the salad, hummus and pita. So basically, the meat, rice, peppers and onions. The food was yummy. Very healthy and clean tasting. It wasn't salty and a good portion for $10. I hope this business does well!"
"Went to dinner last night (Tuesdays are half off bottles of wine) and had the best experience. It was cozy and elegant. Brian the bartender was amazing and polite. We ordered the meatball appetizer....I'm craving them now just thinking about them. For dinner I had the Frutti De Mare ( seafood pasta dish), it was beautiful and delicious. You must try this place! Best Italian I've had in a long time in this area!"
"This is a new restaurant sits right next to 7-11 on Maple. We live in the neighborhood across the street so decided to check it out. The staff said hello as soon as we walked The food was great and plentiful for the cost. Highly recommend this place and we will be back for sure."
"It's been over eight years since my original review of Kervan Kebab House. That experience meritted three stars but a year or so ago I decided to revisit this Turkish restaurant. I am so glad I did. I am happy to give it a five star rating as my recent visits have all been perfect. The food is always fresh and hot and delicious, it's made to order. The small restaurant is family owned and operated. Service is friendly and efficient, always excellent whether you choose to eat in the small dining room or take out your meal. Menu prices are very reasonable.I have tried a lot of the menu and I have enjoyed everything. I particularly love the iskender plate but enjoy the beef donor and lamb plates as well. I don't know what it is about their rice but it is really delicious, much more tasty than what you receive at most restaurants. I've tried a few appetizers, my favorite is hummus with pita. I haven't tried any of the beverages. There is plenty of free parking in the huge lot shared with the rest of the businesses in Parkview Shopping Center, you should never have an issue finding a nearby parking space. Entering or exiting the shopping center is convenient with multiple access points. This location is not far from my house so I appreciate being able to stop in to pick up some delicious food on my way home from work. There's no need to call ahead because service is always very fast."
"Best place for hookah and to relax with friends! They have beer options, and their food is yummy!"
"Tasty Kabab is a family owned Mediterranean style restaurant, one with some unique Moroccan influences, that opened its doors at JANAF Shopping Center in October of last year. It is tucked and hidden away among a row of stores in a newer and outermost strip section of the JANAF complex that wasn't there when it first opened back in 1959. I had a hard time finding it during my first visit. There is a Game Stop to its immediate left and an Edible Arrangements to its immediate right. A Verizon store is also nearby in sight.Their cuisine features Halal meats and fresh ingredients with a variety of Kabab platters, Shawarma dishes, Moroccan Tagine dishes, Pitas, Wraps, Falafel, and more. This is a counter service operation, where you pay for your order first at the register and wait until it is ready. I enjoyed the following dishes during three lunch time visits this month:CHICKEN SHAWARMA BOWL: Slow Roasted Marinated Chicken, Hummus, Cucumbers, Tomatoes, Purple Cabbage, Fried Eggplant, Pickles, and Banana Peppers over Saffron Rice. I also ordered a slice of Pita Bread to go with it, mainly for decorating my bowl. This was the dish I ordered for my Yelp 757 Deal. The person at the register didn't seem to understand the Yelp deal at first, perhaps due to a language barrier.I did my best to put her at ease while showing her the Yelp deal on my phone and also on the display by the register. She eventually understood, and the deal went through successfully. The Saffron Rice and Chicken were placed in the bowl first. I then told the person working behind the counter which of the toppings I wanted, and she added them accordingly. I declined all of their sauces, as I have never liked the look of sauces drizzled on my food. They offer three sauces--Garlic, Tahini, and a House Made Hot Sauce that includes mayonnaise, a condiment that has never agreed with me. When it was ready, I took it to my table to enjoy. The combination of ingredients and their flavors blew me away. The Saffron Rice was divine. This was truly one of the most outstanding Shawarma bowls I have ever enjoyed. I also had enough left over to take home for a second meal: My Rating: 5 Stars.CHICKEN TAGINE: This is a traditional slow-cooked Moroccan dish, one that comes with Braised Bone-In Chicken, Onions, and Assorted Spices. The version here also came with their Saffron Rice. The Tagine also refers to a North African cone shaped clay or ceramic pot with a lid, which is used to cook their Tagine dishes. The chicken was tender and juicy, easily falling off its bones and melting in my mouth with an explosion of flavor. This one lasted me for two more meals when I took the rest home. I would have liked just a few more onions in the mix. My Rating: 4.5 Stars.I also enjoyed the following Sides with this dish:ROASTED POTATOES: They were a bit on the cool side and did not seem to hold their temperature well in the steam tray behind the counter. I only ate a few of them and took the rest home with the rest of my Chicken Tagine. Once I reheated them at home, their roasted flavor and texture came roaring back in full force with the warmth with which they were meant to be served. My Rating: 4 Stars.MOUSSAKA: This is a classic Middle Eastern Eggplant dish and one I had never tried before, providing me with a new culinary adventure. I loved its taste and texture, and there was a mildly spicy sauce underneath with a nice kick that added to my enjoyment. My Rating: 5 Stars. CHICKEN KABAB BOWL: Grilled Chicken Kababs with Cucumber, Tomato, Purple Cabbage, Red Pepper Sauce, and Banana Peppers over Saffron Rice. Large chucks of Chicken Kababs were slowly grilled behind the counter as I watched and then added to the Saffron Rice. I followed the same procedure as before with their Chicken Shawarma dish by picking out my desired toppings and turning down the sauces. The Chicken Kababs were tender and tasty, combining beautifully with the other ingredients and busting with flavor. Once again, I had enough left over to take home for a second meal. This dish also came with two sides, and I chose the same ones I did before with excellent results. My Rating: 5 Stars.BAKLAVA: I decided to order their version of this classic Middle Eastern pastry dessert to take home. It hit all the right notes and was delightfully sweet, nutty, and flaky. It wasn't quite the best version I ever had, but it was better than many of the other versions I've had. My Rating: 4.5 Stars.Tasty Kabab has been socking my senses with some awesome flavors to date. Service has been friendly and accommodating. One server even helped me seal up my bowl to take home what I didn't finish.Based on my three visits this month, my food numbers round up easily to a 5-star rating, and I am looking forward to my future visits."
"The food was excellent with very large portions for an affordable price. I had never tried Yemeni food before, but Omar provided some excellent recommendations and guidance on ordering. The tables are well spaced and provide a private dining experience without having to worry about being too close to other tables. The generous portion size means you should order with the idea of sharing in mind with a group of people. Highly recommend the chicken Agda with Masoob for dessert. The bread served with scurries is quite large and enough for 2-3 people to share. Definitely will return to try more!"
"Saffron definitely embodies Mediterranean cuisine. (A little geography lesson) The Mediterranean region and countries that run along this particular body of water is mainly Spain, Morocco, Lebanon, Greece, Tunisia, Turkey, and others. The focus for the food is mainly on fresh products, very distinct and pronounced flavors, herbs and spices are made the essential ingredients, and made with simple preparation. This type of cuisine is slowly becoming my favorite because its very healthy and fresh. Therefore when I came across this restaurant unexpectedly I decided to try it which was a great decision. The dishes are creative and mostly are of Lebanese and Turkish recipes. Saffron also serves Turkish tea which was divine! Along with cute aesthetically pleasing sugar cubes to garnish your tea. For an appetizer I went with a simple dolma platter which was fresh but to my surprise it was served hot. Normally when I'm served dolma its cold so I'm not sure if I just experienced real dolma lol because I've been served some fake cold one all these years lol. However everything was so fresh and flavorful, seasoned with everything but salt and pepper which was a nice change to my taste buds."
"GREAT new place in the area, in the building that once was our beloved Eckhard's. Interior has been updated.....obviously, there are still a few deets that need attended to, but the place looks nice. AND, they're drawing a crowd, so that is good news! Food is AMAZING, and they've even hired back some of the wait staff from Eckhard's,We had the special prime rib. DELICIOUS, and not a wonder they sold out EARLY! The green beans were maybe the best part of the meal.....and that is a VERY GOOD THING!!!Sure hope they keep it up, we will be regulars here!!!"
"If you need anything, come to Granby Bistro & Deli. It is located on Granby Street, near the corner of Granby/W. Tazewell; beside Hokkaido Sushi. Park in one of the city garages, or on the street if you get lucky. And can parallel park.It is a one stop shop - a mini grocery store - with all types of drinks in the fridge, dry goods, snacks, canned goods, toiletries, and of course, deli food - they serve different types of deli sandwiches, and specialize in Greek food. Mr Adel is so nice, and has helped me a couple times. Each time, I ordered the gyro and fries. This combo only comes out to about $9. He makes it fresh for you. I learned that this used to be a restaurant, but some years ago, it switched to a grocery store/ deli style shop. They even have a lotto machine in here - I've gotten scratchers twice and won a little something both times! Maybe the next time I'll win BIG. I hope.Anyway, support this small shop. You can tell the owners have put a lot of time and love into it over the years. It even kind of reminds me of the Philippines, like a little "sari-sari" store, if you're familiar with that. :)"
"Still the best kebab in VB. The meats are prepared authentically and with great pride by the friendly staff. The table service if fine, but recommend making a point of giving a wave to the guys in the kitchen. They're a good bunch of guys and genuinely love to hear that you're enjoying their food. I recommend the chicken kebab, but there's really no wrong direction to take with the menu options."
"The food is amazing! The level of customer service is always a plus for me.. anytime that I come up to Williamsburg this is a must for me!!!"
"Leila International Cuisine opened its doors for business in August of this year, located on Granby Street in the Riverview Village section of Norfolk. It is stationed next to and set back from the very popular Pittie Dog Grill and shares the same parking lot. I can remember eating at another restaurant at this space several years ago, which was the Taj Indian Restaurant. Another restaurant named Sunset Paradise also once occupied this space, but I never ate there.Leila International Cuisine has given new life to this restaurant space by offering a diverse menu with an awesome selection of international and global dishes. Their dishes also meet Halal standards.Their interior is very spacious with plenty of seating available. As of my last visit, their ABC license had not been approved yet. It is their latest estimation that it should be approved by the end of this month.A warm and friendly greeting awaited me during each of my three lunch time visits to date. The service I have received has been very attentive and nothing short of fantastic. Each of their menu items can be ordered at any time during their opening hours. Their Quick Lunch And Brunch menu items can be ordered for Dinner, and their Signature Plates can be ordered for Lunch and Brunch as well. I have tried and enjoyed the following dishes to date:SHAKSHUKA: Simmering Tomatoes, Onions, and Garlic in a North African Spice Blend with 3 Gently Poached Eggs and Warm Pita Bread. This dish was ordered from their Quick Lunch And Brunch Menu. This is a popular dish throughout North Africa and the Middle East that first originated in the Ottoman Empire in North Africa. I have only tried Shakshuka a few times elsewhere, but the version served here was the best one yet, socking me with a depth of flavor that was off the charts. The combination of ingredients, along with their North African Spice Blend, was divine. My Rating: 5 Stars.KHINKHALI: Eastern European Style Soup Dumplings with a Savory Blend of Broth, Ground Beef, and Fresh Herbs, served with their House Made Garden Salad. This was another entry from their Quick Lunch And Brunch Menu.Khinkhali is a dish I had never heard of before, one that I have learned first originated from Georgia, a transcontinental country in Eastern Europe and East Asia. The Soup Dumplings were plump, juicy, and bursting with their brothy beef and full flavored herbal goodness. Their House Made Garden Salad was outstanding and paired with the dumplings beautifully. My Rating: 5 Stars.PILAF: An Asian Style dish with Slow Roasted Beef Medallions mixed with Savory Onion and Carrot Fried Rice. Served with Chilled Tomato Salad and one of their Signature Sides, with their Crispy Brussels being my choice. This dish was ordered from the Signature Plates section of their menu. The Roasted Beef Medallions were tender, juicy, and combined beautifully with the Fried Rice and other ingredients. The Chilled Tomato Salad was exquisite. I especially loved their Crispy Brussels, which were prepared with a Parmesan blend. I had enough left over to take home and enjoy for a second meal. My Rating: 5 Stars.RED LENTIL SOUP: A Vegetarian Blend of Red Lentils, Mediterranean Seasonings, and Herbs. This dish was ordered from their list of Soups And Sides. Their version of this soup was thick, creamy, and bursting with flavor. My Rating: 5 Stars. In addition, I was also treated to small samples of their Hummus from their Appetizers menu and their Irish style Bread Pudding from their Desserts menu, which is prepared with Walnuts and Cranberries. They were both outstanding: My Rating: 5 Stars for both.I will be looking forward to my future visits and want to try one of their Kebab dishes next, which are being well received with rave reviews elsewhere. Leila International Cuisine is a most welcome addition to the Riverview Village dining scene in Norfolk, and my review comes with a rousing slam dunk 5-star rating.NOTE: For reasons unknown, all 10 of my photos failed to attach to my review. However, all of them did make it to the main photo section of their Yelp page."
"Came here for dinner after seeing the Garden of Lights at Norfolk Botanical gardens on Wednesday 12/20/203.It was me, my sister and her boyfriend. I ordered the Open Faced Turkey sandwich with mash potatoes and fried okra. My sister got the French Dip sandwich with Fried okra and her boyfriend the Grilled Skirt steak with mash potatoes w/gravy and Fried okra. As you can see we are big fans of their fried okra lol.We sat on the bar side and our waitress was attentive and the food good. I did ask for more gravy as I felt it wasn't enough originally. I thoroughly enjoyed my food after walking in the cold it truly was a comfort dish for me.My sister and her boyfriend enjoyed their food as well. This is a great hangout that serves food after 9pm.I especially love their Azalea special pizza and greek salad usually when I come here and also their gyro. There menu has something for everyone."
"The pizza was traditional NY style pizza, and it was pretty good. I did not enjoy the chicken shawarma platter. Other posts had large chunks of chicken, whereas I got mostly rice and crumbly bits of chicken. It was almost as if they were running out of meat for the night, and I got what was left at the bottom of the pan."
"Was visiting from out of Town and my wife suggested Greek food for dinner. Arrived around 6pm and was seated immediately in an almost full dining room. Our waitress, Gizem, brought us water quickly and introduced herself. As the menu has authentic dishes I had some questions which Gizen answered before ordering. My wife ordered her usual gyro sandwich which came pretty good size. She was surprised the meat did not appear to come from a usual lamb/beef spit. I ordered a dish named patichio which is layered crumbled beef, penne noodle and a custard topping and then baked. I did not enjoy my meal. I wish there would have been a little more beef and less custard topping. Our service was good, atmosphere was nice, staff are friendly. Upon entry there are displays of Greek oils, sauces and such for sale as well as a nice display of desserts. We grabbed a couple desserts to take back to our hotel and a gallon of imported olive oil for home. There is sufficient on-site parking. If in area again this could be another stop."
"Strolled in here in a sunday night so I can only account for the chill vibes. That is exactly what I was looking for. Flashing lights, mellow music, speak easy type setting. By yourself, chill at the bar. Wanna really lounge, they have seating for that. Looks like it can accommodate large groups as well. Staff was super friendly, and personable. Drinks are fairly priced and made good.Hookah is on point. Smooth and they use starbuzz and alfakher brands for shisha. Both good brands to use(i use to have my own hookah). Entrance is a little secretive, but thats the unique part about it."
