I'll have to remember that though when I'm on a gurney waiting for a bypass someday...In any case, this place specializes in - well pork. Hams and bacons in every permutation you can think of: cooked, uncooked, with and without bones, sliced, smoked, sugared, salt cured and whatever else there may be.Grab yourself a cured bacon in a cloth sack and you'll saunter out of there feeling like a settler from the colonial days - hack off a few slices, fry it up and after the initial chest pains subside you'll agree that these are some really good bacons... salty as all hell, but sooo good...They also do a mail order business in the event you do not want to drive 6 hours to your doom...Parking lot."

Shopwise Meat Market reminds me of the 70's TV show The Brady Bunch. Ya know Sam's butcher shop. OH it's Great. They not only have an awesome butcher selection they have a good lunch menu. We picked up The Italian sub with "THE WORKS". Nice big sub, Fresh, Full of yummy flavor. Really hit the spot. Take out only. They have a drink cooler and you can get a bag of chips. The meat counter is A M A ZING!!!! You want it they have it. They even have seasoning for the grill of all kinds and they sell smokers that talk to your phone. SUPER COOL.I really wish they had some seating outside but we just sat in our car and ate. With the Pandemic we are use to eating in our car. We will definitely will be frequent shoppers at Shopwise Meat Market to get meat for the grill and pick up a sub for lunch. Summer is going to be great this year now that we found this place. Oh and they have been here for 19 years. They have been around a while so go check'em out

Franco C. said it right. Pork and pork products. That pretty much sums it up. I feel like it was a Virginia right of passage to go to a ham shop. I'm not really a meat eater and I don't really do ham but that didn't stop me from buying awesome souvenirs and a little bacon! I think this place is great to bring out of towners too. It's quaint, old fashioned fun!
