"Awesome little hole in the wall dive bar. I've been coming here for years since my band started playing the open mic nights. Over time, we became friends with the owner and the bartender. Just very nice, welcoming people. I really owe a lot of our beginning success to the owner, Clayton and his patience as we, sometimes unexpectedly, packed the small place with our friends every Tuesday.Bonus features: pool tables, jukebox, and separate smoking room. Also, if an employee is reading this: thank you so much for keeping Mrs. Zeno's name up on the list of managers. Her daughter, Molly, is one of my closest, dearest friends, and it makes me so happy to see her name up there still, even years after her passing."
"This is one of those spots that I'm mad I am JUST finding out about! To be honest, I didn't even come here for the cider. I came here because AVOCARGO FOOD TRUCK was supposed to be here today. They take vegan food to an entirely NEW LEVEL! But I digress, let's talk cider!!Can fermented apples even be sexy? Welp, Sly Clyde did just that. I am NOT drinker; I don't usually like alcohol --never did and never will...and here I am tossing back an Apple Cider Sangria! Was I missing out on Apple Cider all this time? Wow!! Sly, can I call you by your first name because at this point, we are family! Look for me at the family reunion, Clyde's!! This sangria cider just made me a regular!Sip this cider with an Oyster Mushroom wrap and sweet potato egg rolls from that Avocargo food truck and this was a meal fit for the gods!!"

"I would definitely recommend this restaurant while staying at the Inn. It was great food and great service. Everything was top notch!"
"When visiting from out of town, I always look for local businesses to try to patronize not a large chain. Looking at the decor, menu and location I decided to give this place a try. Initially we wanted to go Friday night with live music it just didn't work outSunday brunch we were the first customers there we were greeted at the door by a pleasant server. The menu was pretty extensive we went with breakfast options. I got the Chuckatuck mainly because it's where my family lived in 1900. My husband got the breakfast burger. He didn't read it and did not realize how massive this thing was three pancakes two eggs and a burger. He had a deconstruct it. The pancakes were absolutely delicious, they were fluffy with a nice light flavor a hit of vanilla or something and warm syrup. I chose sausage it was the basic breakfast sausage. His burger was really big. We had to take some home. Luckily, there was a cooler already in the car.The food came out in pieces, which was a little annoying. My husband was halfway finish his food when mine arrived. Nicely decorated place a large space for family, friends, group or events .All in all, it was a good experience. Would I go back again? Yes if I'm in the area, which I'm sure I will be."
"The best soul food restaurant in the area. Awesome customer service and VERY GOOD food. I have eaten here so many times. Love the atmosphere and the waitresses are always on point. This place is much better than The District which we did for Valentines Day. I tell anybody check out Charm and Manners. You won't be disappointed."
"Second time hitting this location & really nothing but good things to say!I made same day reservations and even came an hour early without an issue. They tend to get really busy in the evenings so go early or make sure to make a reservation.Jack, our guide, was helpful in technique and energy. It was nice to have him jump in a few times to help out but didn't feel like hovering. Also, love their enthusiasm for bulls eyes.We have had food and drink- both very good to pair with game play. Snack, bar food like loaded tots, curly fries etcs. Canned beer, cocktails and wine available."
"I cannot believe the quality of food that was coming out of this place. You would walk in and never expect the menu they had available! This is noted as a bar & grill but it is very much hookah lounge & nightclub feels, and the DJ was good. First, our server Kendal was an absolute sweetheart and provided a pleasant experience. She suggested a great drink based on my preferences, I ordered two of them. Her recommendations were awesome, I almost regret not getting the parmesan cilantro lamb chops but the Chef Wimbo's Island was more than enough and delicious. This plate had mashed potatoes and on top was a fried lobster tail, white wine sautéed shrimp and salmon stuffed with crabmeat covered in a Gouda cream sauce. Pricey, yes, worth it, absolutely. I would definitely visit here again on my next trip."
"What a great experience! Service and food were outstanding!!Both chicken dish were flavorful, tender and simply a wonderful dish!! What more would you want?? Ample food, great flavor and presentation and the service was top shelf! We'll be back! Thank you!"
"I've visited this restaurant 3 times and it was amazing all 3 times! The buffet is always clean and orderly. The atmosphere is comfortable even though I've only had take out. The food though baaabbbyyy is EVERYTHING! It's always fresh and full of flavor. It's never dry like some buffets can be. I give them a 10 out of 10!"
"This was my first time at this place and I must say the food was awesome! The workers were nice. However when I first got there I noticed one bartender doing hookah with a customer. Then as I was leaving I saw her taking a shot with someone. I mean it's all good just know what you're getting yourself into! Like I said the food was great and I will be going back to try more items off the menu!"
"This place is like a hidden gem. If you like to smoke and your looking to get out of the house, this is the spot. Huge selection of cigars to choose from in the humidor, and they have drinks and small snacks for purchase. The staff was very knowledgeable when picking looking for a new cigar to try. Great spot to sit back and just chill. Highly recommended"

First of all, who knew there was even a place that existed like this in the area???? It's soooooo quaint and the staff was amazingly friendly and didn't seem bothered by the millions of questions I asked about how they came to be lol. Amy, one of the managers, cheerfully told me their story and let me know that they don't serve food there but there's always a different food truck there and patrons are also welcome to being their own food or order delivery there! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming! It may sound silly but when she told me it was "just cider" I honestly had no idea I was about to feel tipsy. I asked if there was alcohol in it because o was beginning to feel something. lol! I can't believe how clueless I was about the brewing of apples! I won't spoil it by telling you here, take some time to visit this hidden gem! Pictured is a delicious meal I ordered from the food truck that was there but the drink was their "Doughbuoy" and let me tell you it was DELICIOUS!!

First appearance was great and elegant. Walking into classical style dining area with everything matching perfectly. Server was nice and helpful. The bread and butter was nothing special. Our chocolate and catcher in the rye martini was great. Appetizers oyster was great very tasty with a hint of flowery and spicy. Salmon was nothing special that didn't not leave a lasting memory. The 1937 burger at a lot going on. Meat was great, lobster was missing felt like it need a bit more butter, the bun had too much sesame seeds and the fries was spot on best tasting fries we ever had. Crème brûlée and chocolate dessert was on point. Took too long to get the check back after giving payment. Understandable that they may have been busy with two weeding there but the dining area wasn't too busy. Still worth going back.

I have both positives and negatives for this spot I love the storefront it is a beautiful addition to Main Street and I've been wanting to try here for quite some time. My coworker realized it was taco Tuesday so we decided to call and check the details. The lady on the phone seemed a little bit distracted, but tried to help us, she did rub us a little wrong when we were going to try to order the tacos instead of just saying nicely, we're not set up to take orders over the phone she was like well if you're not paying I can't take it and it kind of came off a bit rude even when we said that we were going to walk over her demeanor was not set to making the customer happy she did inform us that the tacos don't take long at all so my friend headed over It took sooo long she had to extend her break to pick up out orders which were just two orders of beef tacos and when we received them they did not look like hard to assemble tacos all of the topping were on the side other than lettuce and cheese But after we got over the less than great customer experience we tried the tacos They were really yummy and had a good flavor I liked the pico de gallo a lot next time im definitely planning on trying some desserts those sound amazing and my coworker said they were humongous Definitely looking to give Renee's a second chance to impress me lol. We all have off days

The restaurant is in the old District location. I went during restaurant week and ordered two meals:Three slices of Meatloaf is was delicious. Sides were collards and yams. The Collards are a little spicy and good flavor. The yams were tasty.Grilled turkey chops smothered in onions. This a GREAT alternative to eating red meat. They grilled the chops to perfection and seasoned very well. The chops were juicy and flavorful. Sides Mac n cheese it was cheesy on the dry side and now Cabbage I love them it was not over seasoned. Finally the desserts Sweet Potato pie I would get again. The Fried Apple pie is a pastry with apple filling and fried with toppings of cinnamon and sugar.

We made reservations for 5:30 and our day ended early unexpectedly - a quick phone call and they were able to accommodate us earlier than planned with no issue! Everyone was friendly, it's clean, masks were enforced...perfect experience from start to finish! Matt was our instructor and he was professional, helpful, funny and relaxed - we loved him! I cannot WAIT to get back here - it was such an overall phenomenal experience!

Came here with friends a few months ago after an event. We got a section so we didn't have to stand up the entire night. Reasonably priced. The staff/waitress was very attentive and sweet. The bartender was also great. The food came quick and was fulfilling. We enjoyed the night listening to music and just vibing. Once it started to get super crazy crowded we exited but we had a good experience while there.

"The Sky Bar at VA beach is probably one of my favorite hang out locations besides the beach itself. You do have to be a guest or affiliated with guest to be able to access the Sky Bar, unless things have changed. I imagine for special events they do make exceptions!! I still want to attend their themed Halloween parties, I've heard they are the highlight of year. The Sky Bar is on the rooftop of Hilton VA Beach with 365 view of the City and has nice selection of spirits of many kind. There is an infinity pool and spa located outside with wall cabanas and located inside is a pool with fountain system (unsure if there's indoor spa). Both pools are saltwater which is nice!! I could hang here all day and If I was a local, it would be my #1 spot. The bartender here goes above and beyond for guest and to see all needs are met."
"I was lucky enough to find B-52 stopped at Tradition Brewing after a Yoga session - the perfect opportunity to fuel back up! I had the Chicken wings and fries; the wings were crispy and the breading wasn't too heavy - very flavorful and would absolutely have them again. Pricing was more than reasonable and I can't wait to see them stopped at the Brewery again, I want to try the whole menu!"
"All I can say is..... WE HAD A TIME!!! This is for the Grown & Sexy Only!!! If you are like me and truly DO NOT do CLUBS but occasionally like to get dolled up with your Girlfriends and listen to a live band or go on a date night and make it home before midnight . This Just might be the place for you. To my surprise I have drove by this lounge on countless occasions in the Hampton Town Center not knowing what a hidden gem it truly was. I was invited by a close friend to join her for a Happy Hour that started around 7pm to enjoy live music being played by The Champagne Band! There was plenty of public parking, FREE Entrance, respectful security guards and did I mention a tasteful dress code? Do not let the exterior fool you, this venue is extremely spacious inside. PLENTY of room... tables and chair galore and a great crowd to match... Its biggest flaw was that fact that is was severely understaffed for the amount of people that were there... regardless the music and ambiance was so good that we waited for our drinks and had flag down a waitress here and there.. lol Overall I would reccomend for a date night, ladies night age range from late 30's up. Just be ready to wait a long time at the bar for a drink. If you just happen to snag a table you may have to wave down your waitress occasionally when the crowd pics up..."
"Nice dining room, though a bit loud, with great views of the marina. Server staff is awesome. Had a very nice peach salad with goat cheese, pickled onions and pistachios as well as an excellent herb dressing. Dessert was an interesting riff on key lime pie. Only downside is they do not offer any vegetarian entrées."
"Have had so many wonderful visits to the Hunt Room over the years.Located underneath the Historic Cavalier Hotel, the Hunt Room is a super fun spot with a unique, cozy ambiance. They often have live music on the weekends as well. Service can be hit or miss but the drinks and food are very good. Some of my favorite bites are the fried shrimp, the poutine, and the Pork (insanely good - I always get this for my entree if it's available!). Go to beverage? The Cavalier Soda. Although the Ghost Cat is very good too.If you're looking for a good time grabbing drinks and bites in a laid back atmosphere, the Hunt Room is your spot!"
"Went to Drag Brunch (lipgloss n lashes) this past Sunday with my mom for the first time and we both got all the life we needed!! Saw 4 lovely queens host and perform. The menus are soooo wild and cheeky! My drinks were delicious but the stroganoff wasn't creamy enough for me just broth over ziti with some ground beef.Btw if you use a Groupon, it's required you buy a drink and a meal but they state that upfront when you buy the tix. Can't wait to go back again!"
"Good evening, fellow Yelpers! It's your favorite critic again with another astonishing find! A place called: Guava located in Portsmouth, Virginia. My wife and I met 2 other couples here to celebrate a birthday!! It wasn't hard to find (right off the main road, in a complex). The exterior is misleading yet inviting. As soon as we walked in, we were met by security (an off-duty officer), who performed his task. We mutually understood each other's assignment and a smooth transaction it was. The hostess was there to escort us to a table or booth, but our party was already seated, and we freely stepped to our section. The menus were clearly detailed, and whatever questions you had, the waitress explained it perfectly! The vibe was R&B with all "soul"! Nothing but good vibes/energy, laughter, and harmony. I thoroughly enjoyed it there. Will definitely be returning and telling everyone who will listen that this is a "must" on your list of establishments to check out in 2024 and beyond. We arrived late, so I could not tell you what everyone ordered. It was gone when we got here. One important thing that really stuck out was: The owner came to our table and personally "thanked" us for coming to his place of business and how much it was appreciated! I mean, how many restaurants do you go to, where that happens? I will forever be a patron here, which means the world to people who look to go out to have an awesome & memorable time, without all the craziness that is going on in the world today. Make it your business to come out and check it out for yourself, you wont be disappointed and very glad that you did! Last but not least, The FOOD, (I almost forgot, lol). Incredible"
"Love the Live Band!!!Happy hour from 5 PM to 8 PM fish and fries for seven dollars wings six piece for $7 tacos for seven dollarsLovely Bartenders and the food is good."
"I visited this location a Saturday night with friends during the Summer. We arrived about 9pm and it was super chill. But a few hours later, the crowd was heavy!I loved the atmosphere and the music was great!Definitely a vibe in here! I think it helps being out with great people ... I would highly recommend you check out this place. The food was tasty too. I didn't expect to eat here, but the food was good. I was thinking this is a club atmosphere, but it's definitely more of a lounge.Check them out ;)Have fun and enjoy life :)"
"My wife and I were looking for a great place for a Romantic dinner. We found it here. The mood and atmosphere was amazing. The entire staff was amazing. Our waiter was very attentive and offered several good recommendations for wine and food. The food came out really fast. Appetizers and making dishes were outstanding. We will definitely be back for more food."
"Fairly nice location in a shopping center with plenty of parking. Visited on a Tuesday for a birthday celebration during their karaoke night. Loved the amount of seating they had to include what I assume was VIP areas on the little couches. Karaoke MCs were great and kept the crowd alive. 3.5 stars rounded down to 3. My friends ordered drinks and it literally took a good 10 minutes when the bar wasn't even that crowded. Can only imagine on the weekend. Flagging someone down then waiting for them to run our card was the longest. Ordered a tequila sunrise and I honestly think they forgot the orange juice in it. I understand more bang for my buck but my goodness! Also, happy hour deals aren't as good as I thought. $7 for our drinks still instead of $10, I assume. Fries were pretty okay. Had a little problem with forgotten food that had to be situated."
"This small town bar has a surprisingly large number of brews on tap. (I counted 20! But they don't have anything else-- BEER ONLY!) Don't be shy, ask the barkeep to try as many as you need before ordering yourself a tasty pint. There's plenty of seating both at the bar and at the tables, but I'm going to have to agree with Brent I. on coming on a full stomach; I don't know if I trust that George Foreman grill. On the other hand, you can always order a few sushi rolls from Toyama next door. Coasters will let you bring in outside food!My only regret is not getting here on a Wednesday night, when they have their Free Fill & Free Glass Special."
"Typical hookah spot in my opinion. Low light, relaxed atmosphere. They must have gotten new couches because they were comfortable and no tears in them. We got the "rain man" nice fruity flavor, with the freeze hose."
"Came here 2 weeks ago for my alma mater homecoming all black party. The actual party was dope and the DJ was amazing! My 3 stars is for the bar service and prices. I spent $36 on 2 measley plastic cup drinks (that was filled with ice)... #1) they automatically charge people an 18% service charge. TELL PEOPLE IN ADVANCE! I was flabbergasted when I saw my receipt. Not to mention the fact that I also included a tip... Straight up rip off!! #2) Give people their receipts, especially if we are paying with debit/credit card. All-in-all, I was very disappointed in the prices/fees/and service from the restaurant. Hopefully this will change, would love to give them a second chance. Please note again, the actual party, promoter, and DJ was awesome!"
"Came here to check out this newly opened restaurant, and unfortunately I can't come back with the price and taste of the food. P.S: The server and host were attentive and nice, so the low rating is entirely for the food. My bf and I ordered a truffle fries to share, I ordered the Braveheart Ribeye with broccolini and risotto(forgot what flavor but it was cooked in a cream sauce), and my bf ordered the Ribeye Lasagna. The truffle fries: the fries tasted fresh but they looked like the b-dub fries. Comes with ketchup, which I was hoping for some sort of aioli for an upscale chophouse. The Braveheart Ribeye: The temperature was what I asked for(medium rare), but the char is straight up crispy brunt and bitter as if I'm eating charcoal pieces. I also ordered a demi glaze on the side, and that tasted and looked like some McCormick sauce. No demi-glaze flavor and the color is transparent like those powdered gravy packets. The broccolini was bitter. They were tucked under the steak so maybe the brunt from the steak went onto the broccolini... The risotto was creamy but they were undercooked cuz they were still hard.My bf said his Ribeye Lasagna just tasted like a normal lasagna like he couldn't tell the difference of normal beef and the "ribeye meat" that they used, but it was a big size and the sauce was pretty good so he thinks it's worth the money. The creme brulee... I have this tradition with my bf which we will order a creme brulee(if the restaurant provides) during our first visit. I'm no Michelin creme brulee reviewer, but I'd say I tried and made enough creme brulee to identify what a standard and good creme brulee is, and unfortunately this just ain't one. The flame on top is a cool gimmick but it melts the supposedly crispy top to a little too soft (we waited for about 5 mins after the flame was gone before eating it). The texture of the creme was NOT creme brulee but more like flan, when the creme should've been more of a custard/solid but creamy like texture. We were told their creme brulee has a little orangey-taste to it, but the orangey taste just totally covers the flavor of creme brulee. All we could taste was a bitter orange flan.Although my bf likes his lasagna, we both agreed that for this price we would've expected better tasting food. I have no doubt that the ingredients they used were high quality, but this is just not gonna go nowhere when you don't have the right chef to cook them."
"So glad we discovered this place. Went to the bar for happy hour - the food was delicious, cheap, and the portions were huge!! Totally unexpected for happy hour prices($8). The Cajun steak bites were to die for. Nachos, wings, pizza, mussels & sliders were all bomb. Forgot to take pics of most of the food because it was inhaled! $4 well drinks that were actually strong. The owner was our bartender and she was great. Will return soon!"
"We were heading north from Florida for Thanksgiving.. looked on Yelp for a non- franchise dinner place . Reviews looked amazing - didn't disappoint!! Building is over 100 years old - original squeaky wooden floors ! The menu is amazing and so was the food ! Very pleasant employees"
"Good Spanish club. Has hookah, drinks (obviously) good music and good open floor concept. You'll get a good mixture of different people and different age groups . It gives me solace knowing that they stick to the Latin music and don't try to cater to any other crowd. Bachata, merengue , salsa , reggaeton, DeMbow ."
"Branch from the Central 111 in Virginia beach. If you come here, come early because it gets packed quick. With it being super busy, it was not hard to get service still. Staff was fast and very attentive throughout the busy night. Everything ran smooth, and the crowd is a good mix. Hookahs and drinks are fair priced. Iv only been here twice but both DJs had a good mix of music. This will be a regular spot for me. Definately give this place a shot and check it out!"
"We came by for Brunch heard that Chef Queezie would be cooking today. We ordered Shrimp Salmon and Grits and Chicken with Red Velvet Waffles. The Salmon and Grits were some of the best I've had!! My husband enjoyed his meal as well. The waitress was outstanding as well. We will be returning."
"Soooooo, the Alley and I have this Love Hate relationship. It's like damn the food is sooo good, but also damn why are the people acting out like this? (if you've been, you know) lolLike previous reviews, this is definitely a neighborhood spot. You'll see someones mama, daddy, grandma, aunty and uncle. Very mixed crowd of all ages. haven't tried happy hour but apparently that's the MOVE."

"So for a bar inside a hotel, this place has an awful lot going for it. First off, it's open yet cozy and decorated in a sea/beach sort of theme. Very inviting. Second, they have some INSANE happy hour deals! $5 burger? Yes please! And it was actually quite tasty! Some great drink specials and just generally a good vibe -- unlike some hotels where the wine by the glass is awful at happy hour, they had some nice choices on their menu. Since it's at the hotel, there are plenty of parking places. What wasn't great -- service. Our bartender seemed completely slammed and couldn't keep track of our orders appropriately. Maybe it was just our visit, maybe they were understaffed or something, but it was sort of off-putting that she blew past us several times in favor of other customers (maybe profiling us? Who knows. It was just weird). Also, I had a gift card, and on it, it did not indicate that you could not use it for alcohol. So I cashed in the entire $15, but it only applied $5 to my bill. The server could have just given me the $10 in cash that then I could use on my bill, but she didn't -- and there was no way to go back an retroactively un-use the gift card. So basically, I was just out $10 and still had to pay for my two glasses of wine. I guess now I know -- but it was still annoying that the staff didn't communicate that effectively to patrons.Based on all that, I might go back, but I'm also not jumping up and down to do it any time soon."
