The poor staff probably spend as much time explaining what's in the various flavors to tourists as they do waiting for people to finish sampling. I don't get the hype. The flavors are alright, with coconut being one of the favorites for our group, but the texture across the board is a little gummy, rather than creamy. The last straw was when I found a small hair in my ice cream. I'd originally planned on hitting up another of their locations to try other flavors like Cherries Jubilee / Rum Raisin / Limoncello, but this experience encouraged me to save my calories for other treats."

"Love the history of this place. The setting is very retro, and I like that it's authentic, not one of those places that is actually fairly new but trying to be vintage. My ice cream was very reasonably priced - coming from Phoenix, AZ, it actually felt quite cheap. It was also very tasty. Service was decent - not great, not horrible.One of the staff saw me snapping photos and approached me to share a bit of history and showi the waffle cone machine. I really appreciated that, and it made a big difference in my experience with the establishment. They also have binders with old photographs and facts about this and other old diners in the area.You have to go outside to get to the restrooms, which isn't ideal but maybe that's in line with the authentic old-school experience!"

My daughter said she didn't want cake, but I told her she'd regret it if she doesn't at least try this cake. When my SIL and the fam were in town they went exploring and found this cafe, then decided to bring a bunch of goodies to a family gathering. Mango pineapple-Not sure how it tastes because my nephew had that one and he didn't really say what he thought about it. It looked good though. "I am not one to visit fast casual burger joints, but this one really is good. The food always comes out fast and piping hot, and their flavor is awesome. I'm not a huge fan of the fries, but my family loves them- they do always come out fresh and evenly cooked, so can't complain. I've also always had really fast service, and I appreciate that we don't have a server but can just put in the order and wait at the table. This location is also conveniently located near everything in Town Center, which makes it super tempting anytime we're there."

"Bergey's Breadbasket is a must visit if you are in the area. They make the ice cream themselves, and the flavors are seasonal. We all had an ice cream and it was delicious, creamy, not insanely sweet. They also had some unique flavors. I missed the key lime pie but picked up peanut brittle and other locally made goodies. My husband loved the turkey club sandwich. The outdoor seating area is super cute. They also have goats you can feed which my kiddos loved. We didn't get a chance to visit the petting zoo due to time but we will next time."

The Oreos were crunchy and provided a good balance with the glazed strawberries and custard. We sat in the patio area as there is no indoor seating and enjoyed the breeze. I love it here. It did not disappoint. I had a medium, which allowed me to choose 3 scoops. I got the Blanchard's Dark as Dark (espresso), Just Ask (white chocolate ice cream with Oreos and PB), & The Dude (kahlua & fudge)...all freakin' delicious!!!! Their mint chip is also super delicious with its yummy peppermint base that I super loved during the winter!!!Now we just need a location up in DC!!"

When we visited it was Pina colada sorbet. I wasn't in the mood for that flavor so I opted for a jollypop instead. It tastes like a fresh fruit popsicle! A litttllleee over priced in my opinion, around $6. My husband got cookie monster which I really feel like is a fan favorite! It's pretty blue color catches yours and your kids eyes! "The hubs and I were in the Williamsburg area in search of a cold sweet treat. We've gotten accustomed to shaved ice on the islands, but on the mainland the ice is more coarse. Thankfully yelp helped us locate this local shop offering snow cones to cool off on this hot humid day. They have a small parking lot, but don't be discouraged the turnover rate is high as customers brought their treats into their cars and left.There is a plethora of flavors to choose from. I was trying to be somewhat mindful of calories, so I chose the sugar free dreamsicle. Vanilla and orange flavors mixed sounded like a dream:) The hubs ordered the spongebob which included mango, lemon-lime, and lemonade. But then we both saw the sign of ultimate "stuffed" snowball. :::eyes widened::: Calories went out the door, and I ordered mine stuffed while his was ultimate stuffed lol. The difference was condensed milk and marshmallow fluff in the bottom. We both had the ice cream in the center of our snowball and a soft serve on top. Ingenious concept and it was very refreshing. I ordered a regular stuffed and they were very generous to fill it to the top, to the point of adding an additional cup to support all the cold juices.This is worth checking out and great for the little ones. "On our day off, Sophia and I headed here to this little spot located in Fort Monroe. They are located in what was the oldest firehouse for the US Army. The decor inside is priceless. Seating is both inside and outside for your preference. They were even featured for a Friday Flavors segment last year for Channel 13. Question is did it live up to the hype from Yelpers?We were immediately greeted by staff upon entering. I ordered the Pumpkin Spice Latte along with a sausage, egg and cheese croissant. Talk about feeling right at home. The coffee was perfect and the crossaint was very good. Very buttery and came through. Sophia ordered the same and liked it as well.Just like many other places, it looks like we found a new place. Welcoming staff, place that is small and quaint and food and beverages you can enjoy :)"

We got a slice of the Shoofly pie, a Whoopie Pie and a soft serve to share.... Prices are very fair for the size of the serving. The pie is a Mennonite family recipe and is absolutely delicious. Are you also one that takes your dog everywhere with you? Well, there is something for them too! It's called the Pup Cup. It's a snoball topped with peanut butter flavor, real beef or chicken broth and a small dog bone - my beagle did not sleep on this, she wolfed this down (and did not savor it...) but no complaints from her, just puppy dog eyes begging for more."

Their paletas or pops are also delicious. I LOVE the coconut one, and one day live on the edge and try their tres leches or the one with the 2 oreos embedded within. I chose the corn on this day because I recently turned on a co-worker to their ice cream and he raved about the corn or "elote." You DO NOT have to speak Spanish as one reviewer stated with 1-star. Had they been patient, used google translate, made an effort, (as one oftentimes has to when travelling abroad), they would have been well rewarded. Settled on a Chili Cheese Dog and a Chicago Dog -expecting a couple of mediocre, standard fare dogs - but to my surprise what should appear - but two footlong delicious dogs donned with mass quantities of happiness. Too much food! And too good not to finish. Girlfriend tried the cheesesteak and seasoned fries. Both awesome- though seemed the fries should have been cooked a little longer (a little mushy in the middle). Topped it off with a scoop of salted caramel ice cream - and the girlfriend went for pineapple coconut. So good it made our eyes roll to the back of our heads. Can't pass up the opportunity to take a selfie on the Cowch (a couch / bench shaped like a cow). Hard to beat the bargain of the Dairy Barn. And the friendly staff. We'll be back. Often."
