Maria T. "Love this little local market!! I remember when it was Lukhard's! This is an exclusive, unique store stocked with hard to find items but also carries your basic staples and sundries. The prepared food and deli section is amazing! The cheese case is gloriously grate - you won't find a cheddar selection in town. It's that Gouda! Ok, ok, I know what you're thinking: "Brie done with the cheese puns!" One more thing: for real, don't pasteurize (pass your eyes) over the cheese case... heavy groan! I'm done! The impressive wine choices are popping and beer area is "ale" that and a bag of chips! There's a decent organic section, a fresh produce and floral department but one of my favorite parts to this store is the incredible bakery and candy department. It's smallish but mighty! This is one of the few spots in RVA where you can find Grandma's of New England coffee cakes which are fantabulous! Check it out! It's sweet!! I love the little café as well to come enjoy a respite for lunch, coffee, tea or just to relax and people watch. The check out is a breeze, and if you spend $50 you get your choice of a free product from the shelf on your way out. The place is always clean and the staff is uber helpful! The parking is a bit precarious so take your time going in and out. Nevertheless, Libbie Market is one of the best little shops around!"

Liz H. "Out of the way, hole in the wall, bodega style home of awesomeness! Price point is good and they deliver a quality product. Growing up up north I'm used to the local sandwich shop being a hub of the neighborhood. The Italian sub all the way was my choice sub...so big it was two meals. Tons of meat and cheese toasted. Don't pass up on the chance for good eating."

Megan M. "This is my go-to market for wine and beer. It's owned by an Asian couple who are very friendly and happy to say hello every time I stop in. The beer selection is really good for a convenience store. A few varieties I've picked up there include Ace Cider, Weihenstephephaner Hefeweissebier, Arrogant Bastard, Buffalo Bill's Pumpkin Ale and Pyramid Audacious Apricot Ale. Not, it's not a beer and wine store, but it's a great stop when you want to grab a slightly offbeat libation. There's also a nice selection of chilled white and sparkling wines. The selection of red wines is affordable but more obscure than your average convenience store, making for great pick-ups to bring to parties or give as gifts. You'll also find some convenience far like sodas, chips, butter, ice cream, etc., but it's the friendly owners and beer selection that keep me coming back."

China B. "I went to Thee Soulfood Kitchen inside the grocery store. The servers and cashier were nice. It was a busy time during lunch. So i ordered the 8pcs fried chicken with mac n cheese and rolls and a whiting fish dinner with greens and potato salad. I went to check out the grocery store while i waited for my fish to cook. Some items are already done, but fish and pork chops are made to order. So it was a 10 minute wait. The store is well stocked but they are still working on certain areas. They had apple juices that were different apple flavors like fuji, honey crisp, pink lady, and etc. So i grabbed a bunch of those. They also had a ethnic section with Caribbean food, curry, fufu, and etc. The freezer section had a nice selection also. There was a bunch of clearance items in the front also. The prices are reasonable. So i got my food and left. When i got home my car was ranking!! It was the fish. I've never smelled anything like it. So i tasted a piece and it was a heck no for me... It wasn't seasoned and it tasted sour. I don't think I'll get seafood again from there. The chicken mac n cheese and greens were ok. It just wasn't enough flavor. The mac was cheesy. The chicken was very crispy, but you have to eat it fresh because it gets soggy after sitting. The potato salad was pretty good. I will probably return for the turkey wings. They looked good. The store was clean so I'd return to shop there also. Besides the fish it was an ok trip.. 3.5 stars..."

Shari S. "Wow... wish I could give zero stars. It was just THAT bad.First of all, when we entered the "restaurant" (and I use that term loosely), there were three tables. Period. Two were taken by customers who were dining, and the third had laptops & paperwork set out, where a man, either a store employee or the owner, not sure which, was taking care of business. So there we stood awkwardly while we waited for a table. Never once was an attempt made to clear out the makeshift desk so that we could actually sit. Of course, we had the choice to sit outside, but since it was 85 degrees, we passed.Once we were seated, the sales spiel began. Clearly the aim of this place is not to serve meals, it's to hawk products. And hawk they did, from the two containers of "sample" honey on the table, to the "snack" of tortilla chips we were brought (where we then learned all about them, the sodium content, the sea salt, etc.). I ordered the peach tea, which was brought to me in a partially filled paper cup, no ice. Just lukewarm tea.An interminably long period of time later, the waitress came waltzing in the front door with a tray. I guess they aren't connected to the kitchen? It was very odd. Anyway, she brought two of the three meals, explaining that she didn't have room on the tray for the third. So then we sat awkwardly for over five minutes awaiting the third entree, a salad. Finally the man who had been utilizing the table "desk" waltzed through the front door with my friend's salad, explaining, "you ordered a very labor intensive meal. I had to pit the olives by hand." Whaaat?! So there we sat with our food and began eating it, and again, both of the individuals working there came to the table and repeated the hawking of the items sold in the store. So you'd think now that we were finally free to enjoy our meal, right? You'd be wrong unfortunately. The same man then sat at the table "desk", picked up the phone, and called someone (presumably a creditor or supplier) to argue a bill. Loudly. This would have been rude from another patron, but from a store employee? It was absolutely ludicrous. At this point, we were rolling our eyes at one another, simply wanting to escape. We struggled to eat our food on our disposable dishes with a disposable fork, no knives provided of course, and finally just gave up, but not before my friend bit into an olive that had not been pitted. The food... it was okay, I suppose, but the portions are teeny tiny, and they skimp terribly on ingredients. For the price, this just wasn't okay. My turkey biscuits, salad & tea came to $18.Suffice to say, the disorganization & flightiness of these two were astounding. Let's put it this way: I was glad I had cash and didn't have to hand over my credit card.Never again. I feel for the unsuspecting tourists who may wander in. Yelpers, you've been warned."
