"I'm been bringing my Dad to my favorite lunch/dinner spots and of course The Ten Top was on my list. He loves soup so he was happy to see they had 5 choices! He opted for the Tomato Parmesan and he really enjoyed the flavor. It was also plentiful and came with a slice of bread. I had the daily special which was the Pesto Chicken Flatbread and it was super. Loved the arugula on it as well as the shaved Parmesan. Very tasty and the personal size was filling. I couldn't finish it! Always so glad to see that a great local spot remains consistently great. Dine in here or take out without hesitation."
"Gourmet Burger Bistro has THE best burgers in Hampton Roads. That's it, that's the review. Just kidding. :)The owner, Major, calls himself the Burger King, and it's a well-deserved title. With the location, it seems like your average burger joint, and it's anything but that. I tried the Major Way, which the menu describes as "a hand-pressed patty topped with American cheese, smoked pork bacon, grilled onions, finished with lettuce, tomato, and our house-made DRIP sauce." Basically, it's my dream burger. The meat was so perfectly cooked, the onions caramelized just right and I love a good sauce! Plus, on my first visit, Major gave me and my bestie some of his sticky wings on the house. He was super friendly and you can tell he takes pride in his business. If you're looking for a good burger, get on over to Portsmouth now!"

"A local favorite I love the classic burger joint / diner vibe. There are plenty of the seating inside but I prefer the picnic tables outside. Just need to make sure they know you are out there....Everything on the menu is great! I had the Crafty Belgian which is great for my sweet tooth taste with the apricot jam. The baskets are pretty big so be sure there are enough people to share. Everyone knows how leftover tater tots tastes like.. yuk There is a small parking lot but often full. Try your luck or plan ahead."
"Finally made it to Dot's Back Inn! Food's good, with a nice varies menu. The service was good, but boy o boy, is it loud! Parking can be tricky along MacArthur"
"Five Forks Cafe seemed like it would be a great little mom and pop greasy spoon. It was not. The positive:1. Hot cakes2. A perfect egg over-easy 3. A fabulous egg sandwich4. Delicious sausage gravyThe meh:1. Service was friendly but not attentive 2. Biscuits tasted like Grands Frozen BiscuitsThe negative:1. Hash-browns were not seasoned and definitely frozen because they were still cold in the center. 2. The corned beef hash was easily identified as canned by the tiny dehydrated potatoes and potted meat consistency. 3. Terrible coffee"
"I had high expectations because I was told how great this place was. They are OKay. It is small and they only have one bathroom. For so many people in this one restaurant they need several bathrooms. Staff are friendly and service was quick enough for the volume of people inside. This is a busy place. We got the waffles, and they were good. We also got the chicken tenders and fries. The tenders have to much breading. They were not very good. I will not be ordering the tenders again. The fries were OK. My friend liked them more than I did. I am all about great fries so when they are just ahhh. We maybe trying them again and hoping we can pop up those stars"
"My friend and I came in on Easter Sunday, 2024, and had to wait around 30-45 minutes for a table. We sat outside on one of their benches and the time flew by (good company makes everything better, #AmIRight). We were sat and ordered. We had a variety of servers, all excellent and very attentive. Totally a good flow of people there.I had the chilaquiles power bowl special, and it was so good!! Quite a bit of food, and all delicious. I would order that again if I went back and it was still on the menu. I would definitely like to return to try other specials. Cool OV spot!"
"A real original gem in downtown Norfolk. Breakfast is phenomenal here and the coffee was wonderful too. When my picky-eater colleague returned to the restaurant EVERY DAY of our workshop, I knew this was the best place."
"I have been here before but never posted a review - this one is from a visit on July 8th. We were here (as we have been) for a Geocaching event. There were about 25 of us, probably more, and despite it being during their Saturday evening dinner rush, all of our orders were correct, our drinks refilled in a timely manner, the staff friendly & our food was delicious and conservitely priced.I had the club sandwich with ham and bacon, fries, battered onion rings, fried okra and apple pie Ala mode. I love club sandwiches, and even though they are quite simple, Rick's was served hot, perfectly toasted, no bad ham cuts, fries crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside, onion rings that were sweet in their battered shell and fried okra that reminded me of mama's home cooked okra from my childhood memories. The only hiccup in my meal was the pie. The crust was so light that it appeared uncooked - no crispy pie shell and the apples felt too firm. Even with my dessert being a let down, I was happy enough to want to make a return visit.....and soon as they have BBQ ribs on the menu! Ps, they have menu prices that are better than fast food when you consider the amount of food that you get with each order.Home cooking almost as good as your mom's."
"This is THE iconic diner you have to go to. Even if you don't traverse 460 regularly, it is WELL worth the drive from Richmond, Hampton Roads OR even a detour from 95.This was on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives for a reason-this is the epitome of good ole Southern cuisine. Their Brunswick Stew and Ham Biscuits with a dessert of Peanut Pie is by far my favorite. The service is ALWAYS warm and prompt. The feel of the restaurant is like... that small hometown diner that you know all the servers at or that small place you go regularly-even if it's just a quick one time stop.Trust me-you need to go here!"
"Service was incredible. I love the free kids meals and food. I had waffles which were pretty good! The mimosas were amazing. I will definitely be back."

I love this place. Since first coming here in 2016, we've probably been here at least 20-30 times. This is a feat in itself as it takes us almost an hour to get here. People often ask me for good food places and The Ten Top is the 1st place I always mention. When I worked down the street at VDH we would order take out all the time, and I only worked there 8 months! Anytime I find myself in Norfolk, we visit TTT. The food is always fresh, it is always delicious and the staff are always friendly. I've had a 3rd of the menu (some things I just don't eat, no reflection on TTT menu) and am always stalking their specials. We found ourselves in Norfolk to see a friend and stopped in for lunch. I had my favorite turkey apple club and hubby had his, the meatloaf sandwich and ordered a bowl of soup du jour, Creamy Chicken Cheese Tortellini-y'all, I am NOT a soup person but I was freezing cold, a little melancholy and needed a comfort only a childhood memory could satisfy, and that soup satisfied everything I needed that day. Hubby barely finished his sandwich because he wanted soup, soup and more soup. We even had leftovers and he finished the soup before his sandwich. To say I love this place would be an understatement. I've shared them with about 20 friends, coworkers and even strangers because they are just that good.

Visited for the first time to experience their weekend brunch menu. Their catfish, grits, & wings are a must try! Flavor profile is so good & what made it a plus is that the fried foods that I ordered wasn't too greasy & you could tell the grease was new & clean. I'd drive from VB to visit this place again.

My husband and i LOVED this burger joint! It has an old diner feel but serves boozy milkshakes and alcohol. They have a great happy hour with discounted drinks and food, and everything was amazing! It's right by a movie theatre so we chose to have a dinner/movie date, and this was the perfect place. The food came out quickly and there was no wait on a Monday afternoon, but heard this place can get pretty busy on the weekend. The reward system is the same for here and PBR, so although it was our first time here we actually got money off our receipt! We are already trying to find an excuse to come back, highly recommend!

Really busy on a Sunday morning but got a table in 25 minutes. Good old fashioned local diner. Staff really nice despite being busy. Food came fast. I had country fried steak and it was good. The other person had the waffles and by the look of her empty plate it was good as well.

Great little gem! The service is amazing, the staff is absolutely incredible. The food is delicious. We stooped by around 10am on Saturday. No wait, food was delivered in great time, and they have a ton of seasonal specials as well as brunch cocktails. I will be coming back to try more items off the menu. The ambience is really inviting, it's a small hall in the wall beach diner with bright open seating and a local favorite vibe.

Great breakfast spot! Fluffy omelets, crispy tater tots and yummy biscuits - my picky husband and daughter LOVED this place. Arrived early Sunday afternoon and didn't have to wait, which was awesome because I couldn't wait to try the freshly squeezed orange juice. Although our server was attentive and courteous, she wasn't very warm. Nonetheless, we definitely plan to visit again. A parking garage is very close, as is some curbside meter parking. After breakfast, we walked along the waterfront and took pictures. This place is well worth the stop

"We made reservations for tonight. When we sat down I told our server I was allergic to seeds and nuts. For appetizer we ordered pimento cheese. Out came crackers covered in seeds. I sent them back and soup came out with more seeded crackers. It was loud in there. People who worked there wore clothes I would clean the house in....the atmosphere did not marry with the menu. Food was great but everything else did not add up for a date night nor NOT allergy friendly... be on guard."
"A great diner option for those in the Bon Air/Midlothian area. Even though it was busy (we went on a Sunday morning), we were sat within 10 minutes. We've been here twice and enjoyed the service, atmosphere & food. My husband said the pancakes were amazing, thick and full of flavor. Their home fries are shredded hashbrowns which are my personal favorite. Plenty of parking available and great diner decor. We'll be back!"
"This is our favorite place to go! Even before we moved down we went to this spot, the Turkish coffee, and Baklava is an experience-we crave it! Family friendly, comfy seating, you can tell family owned and operated. Well kept place. The owner even played the Darbuka drum for us a bit, so cool! Must Go!!"
"Place was amazing !! My waitress, Marissa was so sweet and took good care of me !! Food was hot and so good !! Nice little place !! VOTE FOR TRUMP !!! NO TIP TAX !!!!"
"I ate here for the first time. It was amazing. The Ambiance and decor were great. When the Hostess saw my ailing father coming she had the door opened for him. They had great comfortable chairs with wheels, no trying to skoot a chair on carpet. Our waitress was very nice, professional and did a wonderful attentive job without hovering. Her timing was spot on. Now I am VERY picky about my food. My eggs were PERFECTLY cooked, best in years. Hash Browns were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Toast was perfect the meat sides were delicous. My father said the pancakes were perfect. The coffee was the best I have ever had from a resturant. They serve Breakfast, lunch and dinner all day. I saw Bread Pudding on the dessert menu. I WILL be going back to try that. Please give this place a try."
"I like their food, but was really soured on the place yesterday. I got 3 pieces of French toast, 4 pieces of bacon, and a cup of coffee. The bill was $30 and change. I've never seen yesterday's server before. I asked about the charge and she said it was accurate, because they were side orders. I paid, tipped 20 percent - not wanting to blame the server for the exorbitant price, and left. It irked me, and I checked their online menu. Full stack French toast (3 pieces): $12. Side of bacon: $4. Coffee: $3. I make that $19 plus tax. What's up with that, Bel Aire?UPDATE RAISED TO 4 STARS: BelAire advised server gave me wrong check. Not honestly sure how server misunderstood me asking how french toast and bacon were $30 but maybe that was art of what was apparently a group order. Anyhow, they reported realizing it after I left. They're fixing it. Food is good there, like I said. Hoping just a glitch with maybe a new server. Other servers have been great."
"I had a fabulous Sunday brunch on their patio with a friend this last week, and truly enjoyed the food, the location, the whole feel of the eatery, and our wonderful waitress Gracie! The menu had a ton of options, and SO many things sounded SO appetizing that it was truly hard to pick just one meal! However, we narrowed it down to the biscuits and gravy as well as fried chicken and waffles both meals coming with a side. They had great options for sides also, and we went with fresh fruit, and hash brown casserole. I don't think you could really go wrong here, and we definitely enjoyed all that we ate! Gracie was such a helpful and friendly waitress, and really had a great first experience here and look forward to returning!"
"Ok this place was packed on a Saturday and driving home I had to stop and see what the hype was all about. We had eaten dinner and decided to go for ice cream! I had the fudge brownie ice cream which was Ah..mazing and my boyfriend created his own ice cream combo and my son had a rainbow ice cream! We were all satisfied. They also have food which plenty of people ordered gyros so I have to go back to grab some other items! Definitely friendly and great food!"
"Great place to visit when attending a concert at the Scope. We like to get a jump on the crowd, park in the Brambleton lot and walk to Baxter's. Food, service, and drinks are fantastic in a large dining space with lots of friendly chatter - seat yourself and the servers will find you pretty quick."
"We recently moved to the state and are trying to find our new "go to" breakfast/brunch place. After having no luck, we found Warwick Restaurant and were pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere is very homey and the staff is so kind. Kelly was our waitress and was very attentive. The food was definitely made with love; so yummy! We will definitely be back and will recommend this place to others."
"It's better when you dine in. I tried this spot a few times in 2018 and 2019, did not care for it at all. However, this last weekend I decided to give them another shot and was pleasantly surprised. The service is fantastic, their customer service skills are amazing. I guess you could say they are the Chick-Fil-A of diners. I don't drink coffee but I did watch as a sweet woman went around the diner every few minutes to top off coffees. They were constantly cleaning the tables, wiping down the salt and pepper containers and just keeping it clean. I don't think it is because of Covid, I think that they like to keep it clean. The waitress who I think may be the owner was ridiculously friendly but not in an intrusive manner. I'm not a regular, but she certainly made me feel like one. Let's get to the food. I went twice in one weekend. Both times I had the 2 egg breakfast. It is two eggs, your choice of protein, toast or English muffin and grits, fruit or home fries. Both times I picked eggs over medium, bacon, white toast. One day I had grits and the next it was fruit. The grits were perfect. Be warned the fruit is not fresh, so I will stick with the grits. The bacon was crisp, eggs were PERFECT and they use real butter on the toast. If you're looking for a trendy place to dine, this is not the spot for you. If you're looking for a breakfast place that serves up fast and delicious food with excellent service then give this place a try. Again, my previous take out experiences left me wanting but their dine in game is strong."
"The staff were awesomeDorothy was Outstanding like visiting a Cuzin I didn't know I had till today great insight on mask and resource info.OutStanding service very considerate. And we enjoyed our meal recommendations"
"This is a great family restaurant for that old fashion breakfast and lunch. It's a business that has been around for over 59 years. The atmosphere is very nice and clean..Waitress are very friendly...highly recommend this breakfast spot.Food is very reasonable and tasty"
"Incredible. Absolutely incredible. Great variety of hotdogs and both that I tried were delicious. My favorite was the bandito but the bacon wrapped lord of the rings dog was really good too. The fried pickles were also cooked perfectly with a great breading. For a cheap price, I was a huge fan. I will be coming back."
"The service was fast, and the staff were super friendly. The breakfast was ok. All in all, this is a really good restaurant with a nostalgic feel."
"Great Hamburgers, Philadelphia Cheese Steak, Grilled Cheese Canned Beverages, and other choices too.Motorcyclist friendly restaurant Very cleanGood size parking lot.Handicapped parking and clean restrooms. If you're riding in the Wind, then stop in."
