We started with chips and salsa because we had a long drive and if the kids didn't have something we would have lost it and had a moment. I had the vegan carne asada tacos with the red sauce, S had the Unemployed Surfer which is a bean and cheese burrito with red sauce. The kids had a vegan quesadilla. All was decent. I would probably opt for the burrito next time as the tacos were a little dry. The quesadilla was very cheesy! It lost points for me because it was very hot, not good ventilation, and our table wasn't cleaned before we sat down."

"This restaurant always has so many options! They have menu specials written on the board and also posted on their facebook page. This visit I tried the appetizer wings which were large and moist. I would definitely recommend. I also tried the pulled chicken. I thought the chicken was a little dry so I will stick to the pork but it was still full of smoky flavor. I usually get sweet potato fries with maple dipping sauce which is my favorite side here! The dipping sauce really heightens the flavor! The coleslaw was good as well. They have the best limeade in Richmond and I get it every time. Also, the house bbq sauce goes with everything because it's delicious! Highly recommend the restaurant!"

We all had similar items: fried Flounder ("Truth"), Mahi, and fried Pollock tacos, and a bowl of another of the fishes. Salsa for the chips and Dill Sauce for tacos were heavenly! I even loved the queso dip for chips, and I normally don't care for white queso. I mean, just darn delicious! Very friendly and helpful staff, patient with us noobs figuring out the menu. Hubby loved the nachos with shrimp, piled high and with a LOT of fresh jalapeños. Shrimp was cooked perfectly, but he's a meat guy and will definitely go for the beef next time. He got the Habanero sauce which was tasty, but way too spicy for me to finish a single covered chip. (The sign clearly says the heat is 7 of 10, and that's accurate.)Wherever they get the Apple Caramel Cheesecake, keep getting it from there! Holy moly delicious! CONS: I just didn't find my Mahi bowl flavorful at all. Even with the Dill sauce and a few squeezed lime wedges. Maybe also because it was grilled, and everything is better fried. ;-). HIGHLY recommend the tacos over bowls (rice is extra$ and comes in a separate bowl). The tacos are just better! Everyone in the party agreed on that. Rice was supposed to be cilantro lime, but I'm pretty sure it was just plain. Would really have appreciated the soda fountain to have ice. But it's more of an adult beverage kind of vibe, so I get it (photo). In all fairness, it was near closing by the time we finished, so maybe it wasn't the best time for a first visit. We really did love it, and it 100% hit the SoCal taco mail on the head. Will definitely go back and try more varieties!"

"I love going out for coffee and Pourfavor has been on my list of coffee shops to try for a while. Since I was in the area, I definitely had to stop in. I absolutely loved how cozy this shop was. The beautiful art on the walls and the string lights really made it stand out. The shop looks smaller from the outside but I was shocked to notice all the seating all throughout the place.We were quickly greeted when we walked in and I was blown away with the large array of pastries and baked goods. Everything looked amazing! We decided on the Quesito which was a sweet puff pastry filled with cream cheese and drizzled with caramel and the Spinach and Ricotta Croissant. We then ordered our coffee drinks and sat in the chairs to wait for our items.The Mocha Frappuccino was absolutely delicious! The chocolate drizzled all throughout the drink really set it off. The Caramel Latte was pretty good as well but I'm sure it would have been better with an oat or almond milk versus the regular 2% milk that I chose. The pastries were served warm and tasted good. I really enjoyed the Quesito. Overall, I can't wait to return to try their other amazing pastries! The coffee was great and the staff was very helpful and friendly."

Parking is shared among the businesses in the area and normally isn't an issue to park within walking distance.Military discounts are offered on Wednesdays and they have a rewards program where you accrue points towards free drinks. The interior was in some disarray and cluttered. A few long hanging cobwebs and dust bunnies were present but not alarming.I asked for a slush to be half mango, half strawberry. What I got tasted like a strawberry milkshake and it lacked that "wow" when you go to a new place. I'm pretty confident that I won't go back because it took an unusually long time to make my order and I have had better slushes made the right way and tasted far better.Customer service was welcoming and genuine. The flow of customers can depend on the time of day. Surprisingly, this location is closed on Saturdays. For some businesses, this could be a peak business day but I'm sure they have their reasons.Not the worst experience but this location is far from me and I don't see myself going out of my way to get mediocre beverages."

"This waffle shop opened up in Selden Market years ago and Sophia and I finally had the chance to stop by. It's part of the Virginia company Capitol Waffle Shop which has locations in the Richmond area and Harrisonburg. Not only can you select sweet waffle items, but also savory ones as well. We came in when they were nearly empty with an hour left of operations. Would this 1st visit result in happiness or one of disappointment?The business itself looks fantastic. There is bar-type seating next to the counter and in the back a good amount of tables. Each table have disposable forks and knives available and a few have waffle syrup. And the walls are covered with pictures and quotes. If you don't want any soda, they do offer complimentary water and cups for you. Thumbs up from me. After a minute of looking over the menu, we were ready. I selected the Buffalo Chicken Waffle which consisted of lightly fried chicken bites, buffalo sauce, ranch and crushed Doritos nacho cheese chips. It did take a minute to get used to this concoction, but in the end it was really good. The waffle itself was baked perfectly and most importantly, did not become soft nor soggy from the toppings. Very important. I would've liked a bit more drizzle of buffalo sauce and ranch, but this right here worked from the first bite to the last. Sophia ordered the chorizo egg and queso waffle and enjoyed it as well. That could be an item to order the next time we stop by..It took too long for us to give them a try, but I'm glad we finally had the chance. Truly a hidden gem in the Norfolk area. We'll be back again soon :)"
