A friend of ours recommended Volcano's AYCE since everything was made fresh, so we decided to give it a try... it exceeded expectations! The dinner special is $22.99 and includes appetizers, regular (maki) rolls, specialty rolls or entree choices, and dessert. I started with a green salad, which was swimming in water, and included a watered-down ginger dressing. The shrimp tempura was also good, but noticeably frozen.We ordered a variety of rolls for the table and my favorite was actually the vegetable dragon roll, which included a sizable portion of sweet potato. To wrap up the meal, we all opted for green tea ice cream, which tasted both icey and chalky; a disappointment.The ambience was modern and clean, and for a Sunday evening, you could tell they have a good following. I'm not sure we would return on our own volition, but we wouldn't say no to another dinner with friends."

The soups are really flavorful, smell wonderful, and come beautifully presented. We also had the cucumber salad. I almost wonder if it was the sweetness of the house salad dressing that then made the cocktail seem a bit more sour than expected.The house salad was included with the lunch 3 Maki Special, which was 6 pieces of Philly, California, and Spicy Tuna rolls for $13.95.The combo hibachi lunch of chicken and steak for $14.50 was a great deal with a naturally sweet and salty teriyaki sauce and plenty of cooked vegetables and fried rice along with a soup or salad.Shrimp tempura appetizer came with 3 shrimp and a set of tempura vegetables- all perfectly crispy and not too oily, with a very light soy vinegar dipping sauce that's much less salty than straight soy.The service was efficient and kind and managed to welcome a walk-in group of 20 people around 4pm with barely a blink of an eye when setting up room for them to all sit together with no advance notice."

Well on this night, every seat was packed as the diners were anticipating the dragon and lion dances. With the food, I ordered a sizzling plate with beef, scallops, and chinese vegetables. It was a decent dish, but I would've preferred the proteins have a little more sear on them. I did try a few dishes that my friends got and the spareribs were the highlight for me.Also the staff was really accommodating, the owner really get involved by clearing tables, running drinks, and doing whatever it takes to keep the restaurant running smoothly. I would definitely come back to have some General's chicken, beef and broccoli, and more of those ribs!"

It's literally a pineapple stuffed with shrimp fried rice. Delicious!I got the Walnut Shrimp, an excellent choice of if I do say so myself. Battered and fried shrimp and candied walnuts in a sweet creamy sauce- I had to restrain myself from licking the plate!Two entrées and two cups of green tea (with a refill) came to $43.07 including the tax. "My last review of Crazy Buffet was eight years ago so it's time for an update. My wife and I enjoy the wide variety of choices. If you go when they are busy you will have a delicious meal. If you dine when business is slow you will likely be a little disappointed. When they are busy the buffet items are kept fresh and delicious. There is an hibachi grill and noodle bar where you can choose your raw ingredients and have the chef cook it hot, fresh and delicious for you. When business is slow they tend to allow buffet items to grow stale before they are refreshed. Service is always excellent. Dirty dishes are promptly removed from your table and drink refills are offered in a timely fashion. Crazy Buffet offers everything you would expect from a large Asian American buffet restaurant. Sushi, dim sum, fish and seafood, meats, vegetables, soups, salad bar, desserts, etc... There is something for everyone. Prices are very reasonable. There is never an issue finding a parking spot in the huge lot shared with the other shopping center businesses. 3.5 stars rounding up to 4 for the great service."

What was intriguing about the place was that they had variety on their menu. Japanese, Chinese, Taiwanese, Cantonese etc...Upon walking in, we were greeted and seated quickly. Our server was very attentive to us as well. For appetizer I got the Crab Rangoon and ordered some sushi, Volcano Roll and Yummy Roll. Everything was delicious! The coolest part is that my order came to me on a robot server! I've seen videos of them on the internet but never seen one in person before. I thought that was pretty cool."

"I decided to check this place out because I saw the high rating it got on multiple sites. I am always down to try a new Chinese food spot. It is one of those things where one place might have great fried rice, one has great egg rolls, and another has great lo mein. Overall the food was good as I went with the General Tsos combo that comes with regular fried rice but for a small upcharge if you want to change the rice to pork or shrimp. To me it is still unusual as I thought ham fried rice was just a normal thing that comes with a dinner combo along with an egg roll. Not anymore. I ordered an eggroll (2 per order) to go with the meal along with a teriyaki stick. The teriyaki stick (you get 2 per order) was pretty good and not dried out to the point where it could pass for jerky. The chicken in the dinner was good and not overly breaded. It was supposedly spicy but trust me anyone could handle this spice. Good spot to quench your hankering for some American Chinese food. Parking can be a bit iffy with a few spaces in the front on the street shared with other restaurants but the same holds true for the spaces behind the building."

BUT we tried it again last week. And again, the food was delicious. Fried items weren't greasy. Fried rice was fresh - not the usual pre-cooked, sitting in a steam tray stuff. The crab rangoon was so light and crispy. Really the best I've ever had. I assume this business is a franchise and maybe these are new owners (because reviews have been mixed). Please give these people a chance. You won't be disappointed!"

You can make pretty much any meal a combo which comes with pork fried rice and an egg roll, but they are also happy to sub white rice and a vegetable roll. Huge variety of drinks as well. "Had an excellent dinner from here Saturday night. This was my first time trying Golden Star and it was excellent. They're located on Kempsville Road in the shopping center with the Walmart Grocery and the Wawa. A nice feature of Golden Star is that you can order online and then go pick it up (they don't deliver currently). They're only a couple of miles from the house so in no time at all, like 20 minutes, I was walking out of the place with dinner. In fact, they had it bagged up and ready to go as I arrived. For my dinner I ordered Beef & Broccoli with veggie fried rice and a pork egg roll on the side. They also know how to make some fried rice. It was brown, not that yellow stuff. The food was delicious, well prepared and the portion was huge. I had about half for dinner and took the rest to work for lunch. Also on your first visit, which they knew since I ordered online, you get a free soda from their cooler. I saved that for lunch also. Check them out if you're looking for some good food in the south Greenbrier area."

"I've ordered 3x from Wan Shung in the last 3 months and they have not disappointed me yet. Don't know if they deliver to my area because I've been using Door Dash but the Door Dash price is heftier. I will say that I've read other reviews and it seems as though people either love this place or really don't care for it. With that being said, many of the reviews are older so perhaps they have changed hands a time or two, just guessing. I've tried the following dishes: Crab Rangoon- it was ok Hot and Sour Soup- It had good flavor Egg Drop Soup-it wasn't fantastic but it was good egg drop soupEgg Drop with Wonton Soup- I love this soup. I ordered a pint of this and could not finish it because it is so filling. It is a pint of egg drop with two wontons in the pint. Beef and Broccoli with steamed rice- this is hands down the BEST takeout beef and broccoli I've ever had. I love the flavor, it wasn't greasy or stringy and the broccoli was not over cooked. Beef Lo Mein- I ordered a pint of this dish. The meat is cooked perfectly, the noodles were flavorful, plenty of veggies and it was not greasy. I feel the need to mention when Chinese takeout is not greasy as the dishes that I pick typically end up being greasy. Also, the container looks as though there isn't much in there, but trust me it's a meal big enough for two people. I dumped the noodles out in a large bowl and thought "there is no way I can finish all of this". Also, I will post pictures of their current menu as the ones that are currently posted are out dated. I hope that you will give this restaurant a try, hopefully you will like it as much as I do."

It beats the other competitions around (my bf and I have had our fair share of foodventures) and has become our go-to spot for our American Chinese fix. Our usual order consists of egg drop soup, sesame chicken, and pork lo mein, all of which have been consistently delicious each time. Of course, we've ventured out of our basic order and have tried a variety from their menu (e.g. dumplings, hot and sour soup, mei fun, mongolian beef, moo goo gai pan, etc.) -- also very good. I can count on trying a different dish and still be satisfied with my order. The prices are decent and their staff has always been pleasant. We always keep their menu on deck at our house and I'm almost ashamed to say I've saved their number on my phone, so needless to say we love this place!"
