"Food was good! The chili oil wontons were flavorful! Little Dude #2 loved his chicken wings! Big Bro ate his beef fried rice without complaint. Daughter & Littlest Dude shared the Lan Zhou soup. Hubby liked his seafood soup and I liked my chili oil soup. Noodles were all amazing, just don't let them sit too long in the soup. Service was AWESOME! Super friendly and attentive!"
"Sushi is one of those foods I can eat mass quantities of, but I was never keen on the idea of AYCE. A friend of ours recommended Volcano's AYCE since everything was made fresh, so we decided to give it a try... it exceeded expectations! The dinner special is $22.99 and includes appetizers, regular (maki) rolls, specialty rolls or entree choices, and dessert. I started with a green salad, which was swimming in water, and included a watered-down ginger dressing. The shrimp tempura was also good, but noticeably frozen. We ordered a variety of rolls for the table and my favorite was actually the vegetable dragon roll, which included a sizable portion of sweet potato. To wrap up the meal, we all opted for green tea ice cream, which tasted both icey and chalky; a disappointment. The ambience was modern and clean, and for a Sunday evening, you could tell they have a good following. I'm not sure we would return on our own volition, but we wouldn't say no to another dinner with friends."
"This is a cute, clean place with great service and good food. It's Asian, but with a twist. It's not like anything else I have ever tasted. The soups are really flavorful, smell wonderful, and come beautifully presented. We also had the cucumber salad. The chunks were fat and kinda hard to spear with a fork and handle with chopsticks, but once I got it in my mouth- yum! Loved everything about this place and would go again. I didn't leave stuffed. The portions are just right."
"As a regular at Yaya Asian Gourmet, I can confidently say it's one of the best Chinese restaurants around! They have yet to disappoint, and every visit is a reminder of why I keep coming back. My go-to dishes are the Singapore Chow Mei Fun and House Special Fried Rice, which are always seasoned to perfection. Plus, they're generous with the shrimp, which is a big plus!Their General Tso's Chicken is another favorite--it's always served hot and consistently delicious, a level of quality you don't find at every spot. Yaya Asian Gourmet gets 5 stars from me every time."
"Wow! What a great find... amazing food, great service, awesome people. Highly recommend! Been coming to OBX for 7 years and regret not trying this place sooner!! Jao was wonderful... we will be back!!"
"Food was very good. We did takeout and had enough for 2 meals. The service was fast. We ordered and it was hot and ready when they said. The dining room looked very nice and clean. We will go again."
"What a treat! If you're looking for a tasty spot for the family I highly recommend Peking Restaurant...The restaurant has beautiful and traditional Asian inspired decor, a super friendly staff, and very good/hot/fresh food! One of the best buffets I've been to in quite sometime; a ton of choices, flavorful sauces, quality ingredients...something for everyone!!!I tried a number of different items and really enjoyed them all (the sushi was my least favorite, but I would go back for the hot buffet and Korean BBQ which is most of the choices anyway).A few personal favorites were the fried dumplings, the baby bokchoi, spicy Korean pork, miso soup, and the crispy chicken choices (general Tso's, honey, orange). Our server was super sweet and friendly...she also stayed on top of us with excellent service (clearing, chatting, and refills).A must try when in the area!"
"We came around 3pm for a late lunch/early dinner and were pleasantly surprised to be able to partake of the lunch specials that would end at 3:30pm.I decided on the daily $5.95 Mango Martini special which was actually a bit more sour than expected, but cocktail-sour-appropriate level. I almost wonder if it was the sweetness of the house salad dressing that then made the cocktail seem a bit more sour than expected. The house salad was included with the lunch 3 Maki Special, which was 6 pieces of Philly, California, and Spicy Tuna rolls for $13.95.The combo hibachi lunch of chicken and steak for $14.50 was a great deal with a naturally sweet and salty teriyaki sauce and plenty of cooked vegetables and fried rice along with a soup or salad.Shrimp tempura appetizer came with 3 shrimp and a set of tempura vegetables- all perfectly crispy and not too oily, with a very light soy vinegar dipping sauce that's much less salty than straight soy.The service was efficient and kind and managed to welcome a walk-in group of 20 people around 4pm with barely a blink of an eye when setting up room for them to all sit together with no advance notice."
"First time here for a sit down visit at this Hawaiian/Asian restaurant. They have Hawaiian and chinese food on the menu. The food is flavorful and tasty, the boba tea is so good, and the portions are huge. You can tell they prepared the food with effort. This is a great culinary option if you are in the area and hungry."
"I was in a group of five that came for Chinese New Year. It's crazy because I have been in this strip mall at least two dozen times but never stepped inside this restaurant. Well on this night, every seat was packed as the diners were anticipating the dragon and lion dances. With the food, I ordered a sizzling plate with beef, scallops, and chinese vegetables. It was a decent dish, but I would've preferred the proteins have a little more sear on them. I did try a few dishes that my friends got and the spareribs were the highlight for me.Also the staff was really accommodating, the owner really get involved by clearing tables, running drinks, and doing whatever it takes to keep the restaurant running smoothly. I would definitely come back to have some General's chicken, beef and broccoli, and more of those ribs!"
"We hadn't been here in a long while, but were in the neighborhood and thought we'd pop in. I'm so glad we did! After a couple of minutes' wait (like 3, maybe) we were seated. Our waiter brought water, and by the time he got back with our tea, our choices had leapt out of the menu and shouted "OOH! OOH! PICK MEEEE!!"My Bride got the Pineapple Fried Rice. It's literally a pineapple stuffed with shrimp fried rice. Delicious!I got the Walnut Shrimp, an excellent choice of if I do say so myself. Battered and fried shrimp and candied walnuts in a sweet creamy sauce- I had to restrain myself from licking the plate! Two entrées and two cups of green tea (with a refill) came to $43.07 including the tax. Certainly worth every penny! We won't wait so long to come back next time!"
"My last review of Crazy Buffet was eight years ago so it's time for an update. My wife and I enjoy the wide variety of choices. If you go when they are busy you will have a delicious meal. If you dine when business is slow you will likely be a little disappointed. When they are busy the buffet items are kept fresh and delicious. There is an hibachi grill and noodle bar where you can choose your raw ingredients and have the chef cook it hot, fresh and delicious for you. When business is slow they tend to allow buffet items to grow stale before they are refreshed. Service is always excellent. Dirty dishes are promptly removed from your table and drink refills are offered in a timely fashion. Crazy Buffet offers everything you would expect from a large Asian American buffet restaurant. Sushi, dim sum, fish and seafood, meats, vegetables, soups, salad bar, desserts, etc... There is something for everyone. Prices are very reasonable. There is never an issue finding a parking spot in the huge lot shared with the other shopping center businesses. 3.5 stars rounding up to 4 for the great service."

My husband and I's first time trying Noodle Man was on a Saturday night via delivery through DoorDash. The order came quickly and was accurate and hot! We ordered the Pork Wonton appetizer with Chili Oil and they were surprisingly not spicy at all. The prominent flavor was actually ginger believe it or not. I found them to be light and delicious, although not what I was initially expecting. For dinner, I tried the Chicken Fried Rice and the Mongolian Beef Stir Fry Noodle dishes. Both were delicious, but the Mongolian Beef Stir Fry Noodle was my number one favorite. The beef was perfectly cooked and not full of fat as you often find at most Chinese restaurants. The spice level was perfect and the szechuan peppers added the perfect amount of heat. I love how this dish was full of veggies between the two different peppers. Noodles and rice were both cooked perfectly. My husband had the Hot & Spicy Noodle and he enjoyed it thoroughly. He wasn't very hungry going into dinner, but managed to enjoyed the entire soup. We both really enjoyed the food we had from Noodle Man and I am pleased that we have found our go-to Chinese restaurant in the Virginia Beach area. We will definitely be repeat customers!

My husband and I met up with his coworkers for lunch here on 10/5, and really enjoyed our time and meals. We were a large party of 8 but our server Kevin managed our numerous orders well. All 8 of us ordered several rounds of food since so much of the menu is all-you-can-eat, and Kevin did a great job balancing all of that. The food was DELICIOUS. Each week I've been thinking about going back since. I'm not used to an all-you-can-eat menu and almost ate until I was too full, but it was worth it! I ordered from the all-you-can-eat menu the whole time, which has so many tasty options. I ordered the Thai Red Curry, Vegetable Lo Mein, Volcano Rolls, and two orders of the Sweet Potato Rolls. I'm still thinking about those Sweet Potato Rolls. This place hands-down has the best sushi and the best price for it I've experienced in the area! The only con I experienced here is that there were massive spider webs in the corner of the window above my table. I tend to look up as I'm chewing my food and was a bit grossed out by the spider webs. It's nothing a swiffer around the windows during opening or closing can't handle though.Overall, I had a great time and look forward to going back again.

This spot has the best Chinese food in Norfolk, no question! Everything's super flavorful and always tastes fresh. The portions are nice, prices are great, and the staff is super friendly. They nail it every time. My go-to whenever I'm craving good Chinese!

I try to only post positive reviews, because, who knows someone else's taste. I tried this restaurant because of a very positive and funny review on Yelp. I chose multiple items, some standard, some totally new to me. I picked the order up as takeout and had it home and on the table within 20 minutes. Three of us tried every dish. We had spring rolls, pan fried dumplings, scallion bread, spicy shrimp with asparagus, chicken with mushrooms and veggie fried rice. We would not order any of these dishes again. Perhaps eating in the restaurant would have been a better experience. On a happy note the employees were very pleasant.

**Take Out Order Review**We ordered the Wonton Soup, Shrimp Fried Rice and Sweet & Sour Chicken. The Wonton Soup was perhaps the best I've ever had. The broth was full of flavor and the dumplings were perfect. The Shrimp Fried Rice and the Sweet and Sour chicken were good, but we've had better. We've actually had better from this location. It seems that the quality of the food has decreased over the last few years. It seems like the quantity of food being prepared has taken precedence over the quality of the food. The restaurant uses an online ordering system called ChowNow. Beware as the system added $ to the menu prices listed on their website. An additional $1 was added for our order of Wonton Soup and $2.50 for the Shrimp Fried Rice. We did not notice the price difference until we picked up our order and saw the restaurant order ticket totaled a different among than what we paid using the ChowNow payment system. It may be worth while to make a pick up orders via phone.

I can't say we had tried lots of different things. Our taste is pretty basic. We have dined in and that was very good. Service was good. Okay ambience. We've done take out several times and the food is always good. I especially like the egg drop soup. I'd skip the spring rolls. Soggy in the middle like they were fryed and reheated. Last time we had some chili chicken wings. Very good but a small serving. Beef and broccoli is very good. Enough for two with leftovers. Definitely a "go to" if you don't feel like cooking or going out.

"I was craving for some Asian cuisine so I went on trusty ol' Yelp to show me what was in the area and came across Forbidden Palace. What was intriguing about the place was that they had variety on their menu. Japanese, Chinese, Taiwanese, Cantonese etc...Upon walking in, we were greeted and seated quickly. Our server was very attentive to us as well. For appetizer I got the Crab Rangoon and ordered some sushi, Volcano Roll and Yummy Roll. Everything was delicious! The coolest part is that my order came to me on a robot server! I've seen videos of them on the internet but never seen one in person before. I thought that was pretty cool."
"This place never disappoints!! I absolutely LOVE their soft shells and tonight was no exception!! Go get ya some!!!"
"I decided to check this place out because I saw the high rating it got on multiple sites. I am always down to try a new Chinese food spot. It is one of those things where one place might have great fried rice, one has great egg rolls, and another has great lo mein. Overall the food was good as I went with the General Tsos combo that comes with regular fried rice but for a small upcharge if you want to change the rice to pork or shrimp. To me it is still unusual as I thought ham fried rice was just a normal thing that comes with a dinner combo along with an egg roll. Not anymore. I ordered an eggroll (2 per order) to go with the meal along with a teriyaki stick. The teriyaki stick (you get 2 per order) was pretty good and not dried out to the point where it could pass for jerky. The chicken in the dinner was good and not overly breaded. It was supposedly spicy but trust me anyone could handle this spice. Good spot to quench your hankering for some American Chinese food. Parking can be a bit iffy with a few spaces in the front on the street shared with other restaurants but the same holds true for the spaces behind the building."
"The portions were very generous especially the biryani rice. We got spice level of 1 and our mouths were burning but it was so good! The saag curry was my favorite!! So much flavor! I cannot wait to go back and try other stuff on the menu. The prices were reasonable and we had enough for leftovers to take home."
"I pretty much gave up trying to find edible Chinese-American food around here. I stopped in here on a whim X-mas eve. Long story short - the family running the place was amazing. It was insanity, but the employees were on fire. To top (pun intended) it off, the food was excellent. I figured it was a fluke - I mean, simply because it was so busy we got super fresh food. BUT we tried it again last week. And again, the food was delicious. Fried items weren't greasy. Fried rice was fresh - not the usual pre-cooked, sitting in a steam tray stuff. The crab rangoon was so light and crispy. Really the best I've ever had. I assume this business is a franchise and maybe these are new owners (because reviews have been mixed). Please give these people a chance. You won't be disappointed!"
"King Hua has quickly become our favorite quick to-go Chinese restaurant! Customer service is fantastic and food is ready quickly and piping hot. I absolutely love the Sweet and Sour Chicken, and my husband usually gets the General Tso Chicken or the Curry Chicken, both delicious! You can make pretty much any meal a combo which comes with pork fried rice and an egg roll, but they are also happy to sub white rice and a vegetable roll. Huge variety of drinks as well. Not much else to say-- I highly recommend!"
"Chinese Food Christmas Eve family tradition...Ordered takeout, food hot and tasty, and service was great! I live close to this place and have eaten here a few times!Food has always been good, portions seem to be consistent, and always friendly service!Very thankful that we were able to continue our family tradition!"
"Kind Wok is my go to for Chinese! Always consistent, polite and reasonably priced. I love the text system the have implemented for closures as well. For someone who offer orders by phone for pickup it is convenient to know if the are closed for a holiday or something like that."
"Had an excellent dinner from here Saturday night. This was my first time trying Golden Star and it was excellent. They're located on Kempsville Road in the shopping center with the Walmart Grocery and the Wawa. A nice feature of Golden Star is that you can order online and then go pick it up (they don't deliver currently). They're only a couple of miles from the house so in no time at all, like 20 minutes, I was walking out of the place with dinner. In fact, they had it bagged up and ready to go as I arrived. For my dinner I ordered Beef & Broccoli with veggie fried rice and a pork egg roll on the side. They also know how to make some fried rice. It was brown, not that yellow stuff. The food was delicious, well prepared and the portion was huge. I had about half for dinner and took the rest to work for lunch. Also on your first visit, which they knew since I ordered online, you get a free soda from their cooler. I saved that for lunch also. Check them out if you're looking for some good food in the south Greenbrier area."
"I've ordered 3x from Wan Shung in the last 3 months and they have not disappointed me yet. Don't know if they deliver to my area because I've been using Door Dash but the Door Dash price is heftier. I will say that I've read other reviews and it seems as though people either love this place or really don't care for it. With that being said, many of the reviews are older so perhaps they have changed hands a time or two, just guessing. I've tried the following dishes: Crab Rangoon- it was ok Hot and Sour Soup- It had good flavor Egg Drop Soup-it wasn't fantastic but it was good egg drop soupEgg Drop with Wonton Soup- I love this soup. I ordered a pint of this and could not finish it because it is so filling. It is a pint of egg drop with two wontons in the pint. Beef and Broccoli with steamed rice- this is hands down the BEST takeout beef and broccoli I've ever had. I love the flavor, it wasn't greasy or stringy and the broccoli was not over cooked. Beef Lo Mein- I ordered a pint of this dish. The meat is cooked perfectly, the noodles were flavorful, plenty of veggies and it was not greasy. I feel the need to mention when Chinese takeout is not greasy as the dishes that I pick typically end up being greasy. Also, the container looks as though there isn't much in there, but trust me it's a meal big enough for two people. I dumped the noodles out in a large bowl and thought "there is no way I can finish all of this". Also, I will post pictures of their current menu as the ones that are currently posted are out dated. I hope that you will give this restaurant a try, hopefully you will like it as much as I do."
"This place looks like your typical American Chinese takeout restaurant, but don't underestimate it! It beats the other competitions around (my bf and I have had our fair share of foodventures) and has become our go-to spot for our American Chinese fix. Our usual order consists of egg drop soup, sesame chicken, and pork lo mein, all of which have been consistently delicious each time. Of course, we've ventured out of our basic order and have tried a variety from their menu (e.g. dumplings, hot and sour soup, mei fun, mongolian beef, moo goo gai pan, etc.) -- also very good. I can count on trying a different dish and still be satisfied with my order. The prices are decent and their staff has always been pleasant. We always keep their menu on deck at our house and I'm almost ashamed to say I've saved their number on my phone, so needless to say we love this place!"
"It was a cold and rainy night and I really didn't feel like cooking. I also didn't feel like making the hike to our normal Chinese take out and so I searched yelp and found Hong Kong house. I am very happy I did. Our meal was very delicious and everyone was satisfied. The lady who helped us on the phone and when I arrived was so kind and very helpful! I look forward to trying other items on the menu soon."
"We wanted Chinese food and gave this take out a try. I called to place and order and we ordered the shrimp egg foo young, beef and broccoli and General tso chicken and lo mein. The flavors were really good and it tasted fresh. This will be our Chinese food take out spot now. It must be a popular spot too cause when I called it was a 45minute wait for pick up. They are open for takeout during COVID and if you go in to pick up your food if it's not ready they will give you a call, you just have to wait outside or in your car."
"Ordered delivery for dinner for the first time here. Everything was still pretty hot when it arrived. The veggie fried rice had lots of veggies in it which I loved. Chicken lo mein was really good my son really liked it, not as greasy as other lo menus I've tried. The General tso chicken was delicious. It has a little kick to it but not too much. I could of gotten extra spicy. The chicken to breading ratio was perfect, some places have more breading than chicken. Will definitely be ordering from them when I crave some good Chinese food."
"Pretty typical food to expect. After trying a handful of places in the area this is our go to for reasonably priced and tasty Chinese food. We almost always get general tso and it's always hot and crispy. The staff is pretty quick too to turn out orders in about 10 min."
"Visiting my dad in Portsmouth, knowing he wouldn't want to cook after work- and I wouldn't want to cook after the long drive, was my perfect opportunity to curb my Chinese food craving.Though I love scouring Yelp recommendations, I let my dad 'show-off' his recommendation skills, with the only rule being, "we share everything" haha. He hadn't dined at Jacky Chen's before, but working in a hospital said their take-out comes highly recommended by many a busy, hungry staff. We ordered: Steamed Pork Dumplings, Lobster Sauce Seafood Medley, Mongolian Beef, Boneless Spareribs, Sesame Chicken (spicy), and Moo Shu Shrimp w.pancakesonly woes: we ordered the beef & chicken as just meat w. white rice on the side, but they came as combination platters mixed in with fried rice-and with very very greasy eggrollsPros: everything was absolutely delicious & large portions. We ended up with not only a hearty dinner this night, but had enough leftovers to have another hearty lunch the next day, and then still some left! Ribs were thick cuts, with not too much fatty edges- and the right amount of sauce-without overly swimming in sweetness. The chicken was juicy, not too much breading. The seafood plates had large well-seasoned shrimps. The Mongolian Beef could have used a bit more spice or 'pop' of flavor- it tasted quite plain, but the dish had so much meat in it, which was a pro overall. The moo shu shrimp dish had so much flavor- the cabbage was perfectly marinated in a delectable sauce, with ample hearty shrimps. If I lived in Portsmouth, this would be my go-to Chinese takeout. Large portions, delicious food, reasonable prices, and a large menu variety."
"Went here today for lunch and got one of the lunch specials. You get A LOT of food in your lunch special. I got the shrimp and broccoli and it comes with two choices of a bunch of things. I chose the fried rice and the hot and sour soup. The shrimp was big a plump and not tiny baby shrimp. It was flavorful and there was enough sauce on both the shrimp and the broccoli. The fried rice needed some soy sauce and the soup was amazing. It's my fav soup and sometimes places f it up, but they didn't. I approve. I'll definitely come back here for lunch! What a great deal."
"Good food. Not too greasy, priced fair for chinese fast food. I ordered the beef lo mein and some chicken wings. Thats my go to if I want to try a Chinese fast food place out. Definately a go, and very nice people. Very covid cautious when in the store."
"I don't eat Chinese food takeout very often. I'm a health nut and there is too much sodium but I was craving it after a half marathon and looking to see what is nearby. I placed a fast and easy phone order with this spot with someone who spoke very clear English. Order was quoted as ready for pickup in about 20 minutes and it was ready when I arrived about 18 minutes later. Everything was fresh and delicious. It was an insane amount of food. The portions are very large and prices are more than fair. They have a large menu to choose from with all the items you'd expect, like General Tso's Chicken, Sweet and Spicy Chicken, Pork Fried Rice, etc.No complaints here - easy and right. Leftovers for like two days. I will order from here again the next time I'm craving Chinese takeout."
"Came here on Friday night, and I ordered the Pork Fried Rice, and my Wife got the Chicken with Mixed Veggies, and 2 Egg Rolls. About 8 minutes later, our food is ready, and we start to eat.Wife and I were very impressed with the food since we're both born and raised in NYC, and we know Chinese Food! LOL! Food was very good, and looking forward to trying the other Food they have here, and it is very reasonable. Much cheaper than NoVA! LOL!Can't wait to come here again, and also found out that the Owners are from NYC as well! LOL! That's great that they know what the customers want, and give to them in a reasonable time and fashion."
"Hands down my favorite takeaway place. Quick like show up 10min after ordering and your stuff will be ready, polite, never messes up my order. Our go-to is always the boneless rib appetizers, sesame chicken, and Singapore chow Mei Fun with egg rolls and shrimp roll. Everything comes out nice and hot and stays hot the whole drive home. Left overs still taste good, plus I love the ribs even more after they get cold it's almost like a little sweet treat."
"Decent for take out Chinese Food. We walked in an ordered it so that it would be ready when we left the grocery store. It was kind of on a higher expense end for the quality. We ordered 3 different combos so it included pork fried rice and an egg roll.I like that the chop sticks, sauces, napkins, and forks are out so that you can grab them.We ordered General Tso, Chicken and Broccoli, and Sweet and Sour Chicken. We would probably return if we didn't wanna make dinner and grab it real quick. Give it a try!"
"Ordered food from here for the first time today and I got to say I was not disappointed. I was a little skeptical when ordering since the price on the menu is so low, I was nervous quality would be poor, however We were very pleasantly surprised. We ordered various different things and all of them tasted delicious. The food was fresh and not overly salty which is very typical of Chinese food. The vegetables were fresh and everyone enjoyed their dish. For the price this place cannot be beat. We will definitely be ordering from here again."
