"We had 5 orders placed for my coworkers and I. The lady on the the phone was pleasant and respectful. She said it would be a 25m wait. When I arrived, there was a long line of people waiting as well as people enjoying their food. By the time I got to the front, my order was already done. All of my coworkers were very content with their Philly cheesesteak. I, on the other hand, had the chicken cheesesteak with sweet peppers and onions (12"). It was extremely flavorful and so juicy that the oil seeped through the paper lol. Putting it in the toaster oven for later tonight. Great eats for sure!"
"Philly is a far drive, but at least I can satisfy my cravings with a decent cheesesteak from a local restaurant. I like the online ordering process, but you can also call in your order if you're trying to grab a quick bite. There are always plenty of seats available if you need to dine in. Service is always great (both in-store and over the phone). They really do their best to keep your cheesesteak piping hot upon pick-up. Get the cheese fries. It reheats to perfection in the air fryer even if you have leftovers. These bad boys stay crunchy for a while though as I used to live 20 mins away and still able to enjoy a crisp when I bite into them upon arrival to my [home] destination. Also, get the biggy 16" size. I microwave the 3/4 I couldn't eat for 20-30 sec, then bake in a conventional toaster oven for 8-10 mins at 350F or 300F. You can add whatever topping, however much you want. I personally pay extra for mushrooms because I'm a fun[guy](?). I love this place. Location, service, ease of parking, quality of food, and consistency."
"Mister Jim's is an original tenant of Wilson Village Shopping Center at the corner of South Battlefield Boulevard and Johnstown Road in Chesapeake. They have been a staple of the Great Bridge community since 1972. To stay in business for fifty years they have obviously been doing a lot of things right. They've managed to adapt with the changing times over the years and greatly expand their menu offerings from their original twelve items. They now offer everything from submarine sandwiches (including Philly-style), burgers, gyros and deli-style sandwiches, square pan pizzas, salads, boneless wings, appetizers and soft drinks to cookies and more. They offer indoor dining at comfortable booths and outdoor dining at tables under cover of a roof. There is no table service indoors or out. You place your order at the counter then pick it up at the same counter after they notify you via pager it's ready. At my last visit there were no paper menus available but there are large LCD menu screens overhead. Staff is always friendly and professional. On my last visit, they were very busy and it took about thirty minutes for my order to be completed. I didn't complain because I could see how busy they were and how hard everyone was working. As the young lady handed me my subs she apologized for the delay and offered me a free cookie. I really appreciated the gesture and my wife and I really enjoyed the cookie. I have patronized Mister Jim's many times over the years, mostly orders for delivery to my job but occasionally I'll swing by the restaurant and pick up something to take home. The food is always fresh and delicious. Some of my favorites are the Cajun Chicken Sub, Mister Jim's Special Sub, Tuna and Cheese Sub, Chesapeake Jubilee Sub, Sloppy Joe Sub and City Hall Burger. I also love the fresh cut fries and the onion rings. They have a nice variety of cookies, they are huge and really delicious. My favorite is the lemon blueberry cookie but I don't see it on the menu now so I don't know if they still offer it or not. Other cookies I love are the white chocolate macadamia nut and oatmeal raisin. Cookies are sold singly, in packs of three or by the dozen. They're all fresh and delicious. While writing this review I realized I have never tried the pizza at Mister Jim's. I'm not sure why I've never tried it but it is something I will definitely have to do soon."
"Baba's Pizzeria is located in the shopping center across the street from Target in Edinburgh. We've dined in and ordered take out, both on busy Friday nights.- Parking - Center lot.- TLC -It's a family run business and the service was friendly and courteous.- Noms - NY Style Combo Pizza (4 toppings) - pepp, sausage, green peppers, jalapenosMeat amore pizza - pepp, sausage, bacon hamThe pizzas have a good amount of toppings and I really liked the crust. Eggplant Parmigiana - comes with garden salad (iceberg, romaine, shredded carrots, red onion, green pepper, raw mushrooms, shredded mozz cheese, olives) with choice of dressing (we chose balsamic) and garlic bread. The eggplant parm is two pieces of breaded eggplant topped with marinara and cheese. Spaghetti comes on the side. The sauce was tasty and tasted homemade. It was quite delicious and a generous serving.- Kids - I know I've mentioned this before in previous reviews, but I really dislike how restaurants give crappy options for kids, like kids menus are an afterthought. However, kids menus at Italian restaurants often reflect the same offerings for adults, because who doesn't love pastas, so it's a win here. My kids have had their pizzas, alfredo, spaghetti and meatballs, all winners both according to my kids and us! Baba's Pizzeria is a great option for before/after shopping or the movies or simply a takeout meal on a busy night!Enjoy, Friends, and never stop exploring!"
"Some days a good beef hotdog is needed. This was the day. I called it in asked for grilled onions, chili cheese ketchup and mustard and it was yummy yummy in my tummy!!!! The local hotdog places only serve raw onions. So I was excited when he said yes that he would grill them. I believe it was about $6 or $7. Quick cheap fix to satisfy those midday work cravings."

"Korean fried chicken, legit Korean ramen. If it were a bit more spicy I'd be there every week."

The first time I had a cheesesteak from Philly's I was bit disappointed as they put ketchup on it. Didn't ask for it and didn't want it. The last three times it was perfect. I like my cheesesteaks with extra Mayo, extra lettuce and mushrooms. I love that their cheesesteaks are no fuss, just perfectly filled with deliciousness. Will be back for another round.

Mister Jim's is my favorite Sub Shop in the area. I've been a huge fan of this place since the early 80's!My favorite is the Mister Jim's Special with Hot and Sweet Peppers. I've tried them toasted but I much prefer mine un-toasted. I find that the bread roll is so much better when it's soft. Fortunately, they take call ahead orders because it can and often does get busy there. In fact, I've seen lines out the door, especially around lunchtime.

Last night we ordered a Stromboli (w/ sausage, pepperoni, green peppers, and olives) and a salad with balsamic vinaigrette. Opening the stromboli last night was amazing. Perfectly cooked and deep brown crust. It was probably the best stromboli I have had and I travel alot around the country. Service was quick and easy over the phone, however I wish they had their own website and not FB. Don't like using FB to see about a restaurant, just my thing. The inside of the place is very cozy and we will be back to sit down and dine.

Okay. I was born and raised in Philadelphia. Just moving here thought I'd give them a chance. They say the owner is from Philly so yeah, this may be good. Wrong. Several things. One that stands out is the kiosk (eye roll). I cannot say no salt and pepper on it. I can't say much. We ordered two cheese steaks and two onion rings. 1) the cheesesteaks were slightly salty. They were not filled like the ones from Max's or Jim's or Paganos in Philly. The beefiness was missing. He could add cooper sharp cheese to the menu. 2) The onion rings would have tasted better if he did not use his bare hands and eat one from our order. Yes sir. I saw you and it was not cool. 3) The bar with the pickles and peppers was SAD and looked unsafe. Sorry. Pre package them and add them to the kiosk. I don't t know what part of Philly you are from ( west, north, south, uptown, chestnut hill, germantown, brickyard) or other but this was nothing reflective of those places. It's like you open a Jamaican store and dumb down the spices because someone says the rice and peas is too spicy. People here may love it, but this Jawn knows the truth.

Great friendly hoagie shop! We had the hoagies made to go as we were going to eat them later and they made sure to put the mayo on the side. The hoagies were full of meat and the toppings we desired. The hoagie roll was also very good. Inside there was a row of booths to sit. The man and woman who were in the shop that day were nice and friendly.

Yellow Submarine has been on my list for awhile, having heard that it was a Korean spot that offered KFC and some fast casual Korean eats. They also have regular fried chicken too and some fish fry baskets. From what I observed, I believe they have the licensing for Krispy Krunchy Chicken too (it's posted next to the store name on their store front).- Parking - Private lot.- Vibe -If you are wondering about the restaurant name, yes, it seems to have been named after The Beatles song, Yellow Submarine. It's completely painted yellow and has a few framed posters of the artwork for this song in a few places throughout the restaurant. The place seems a little dated, but kept tidy. There are a few arcade games to the left, a counter for cigarettes and lotto tickets in the middle, and then a separate counter for the food orders.- Noms - Korean spicy chicken sandwich: This was a good sandwich in itself, but having had my share of Korean style chicken sandwiches in the area, this wasn't my favorite. The sandwich is tasty and a generous portion. It comes on a large, sesame bun, with an oversized chicken patty, that was cut very thin, slathered in a spicy, gochujang based sauced with some kind of mayo-y slaw relish-like topping. Again, it was good, but compared to others, I prefer the others. 6 piece chicken wings in yangnum sauce - this is where it's at! The wings were true to KFC (Korean fried chicken) style. Super crispy and crunchy in a delicious gochujang based sauce. I should have ordered some rice and kimchi and then I would have been set!The nice man who took my order gave me a Bacchus to drink, which is a Korean energy drink. Fun fact: Bacchus is the inspo behind Red Bull. Growing up, my mom used to give me a Bacchus every time we went to the pharmacy so this brought back some memories! I had forgotten how good it tasted! I will definitely be back to try the Korean food items on my next trip and I was told to get the bulgogi sub!Enjoy, Friends!

"Perhaps, I should have known better than to have "New York Style" expectations for a Newport News pizzeria, but I allowed myself to be persuaded that it was possible. A city boy raised in The Apple and now living close by Philly, I have been spoiled by great Italian food at every street corner, and forgot how difficult it is to prepare great standards from The Boot. We were looking for familiar comfort food while visiting nearby family and fell into Vinny's on Oyster Point. We all wanted slices as an appetizer and a secondary dish like salad or sandwich. Three of us asked for regular slices, in my case, well done. Our fourth asked for a Veggie Slice along with Caesar Salad with Grilled Chicken (x3), while I went with the Eggplant Parm Sandwich on torpedo roll. My slice came from a new pie out of the oven. Plenty hot, but droopy from jump, with melted mozzarella cheese out of proportion to the sauce and a limp crust that could not hold its weight. Well done, it was not. Disappointing. Apparently, the veggie slice (looked like salad on top) was okay, but had to be eaten with knife and fork to minimize fall off. My people enjoyed the salad plates and there was plenty of chicken. My eggplant was decent; seemed to be lightly breaded and panned before entry onto roll, with good red sauce and enough mozza to seal everything beneath to hold in the heat. The roll wasn't much, so I ate the rest and left the bread behind. No need to consume calories if the taste and texture were lightweight. The shop itself was typical pizza parlor modern, and the service was pleasant and helpful. The place was busy and seemed successful."
"I got takeout from The Philly Cheesesteak Cafe. Theres street parking out front. While waiting someone hit my daughters car. So make sure you leave enough space, because some people can't parallel park!!You can order online, by phone, or in person. Our order only took about 15 mins. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. My kids got cheesesteak subs and i got fish with hot honey sauce and fries. I enjoyed my fish, but beware there are bones. The sauce was really tasty. Their housemade spicy sauce was pretty good also. They sell it by the bottle if you wanna take some home. My kids enjoyed their subs, but i thought it was slightly salty. It was still good though. The prices are reasonable and the portion of fish i got was plentiful. They're a decent place to eat at. Check them out!!!"
"My family's favorite and go to pizza place - we LOVE this place. We usually get the medium meat lovers pizza. It's enough for both of us and a couple of slices for leftovers. Staff is very kind and friendly. We have never eaten inside as we usually get takeout so not too much to comment on the inside."
"I ordered for delivery and received within the estimated time frame. Quick and easy process, decent price for a big pizza. The pizza itself was pretty good in my opinion! I like the crust and the taste. My issue is we got a meat lovers pizza and they were pretty skimpy with the meat. It felt like there was barely any meat and then on top of it, the sliced meatballs were rotten. They tasted absolutely foul. I don't know how they keep track of the freshness of the meats but this one definitely slipped through the cracks. We removed all the visible pieces of meatball from the pizza but some were still buried beneath the cheese and it really overpowers the entire bite of the pizza. I would still order from here again but would make sure I don't have meatballs on it because I am traumatized now."
"I love the people. This restaurant is so nice and the have the best food. You can tell everything is made from scratch and has the freshest ingredients. My go to is the chicken Greek salad but their cheesesteaks don't miss either. Definitely a 10/10 must try!"
"I guess they changed their name to ATL Wings which makes sense now because ATL Deli wasn't giving a good impression.... So we came for late night eats and just wanted wings. It was about 45 minutes to closing time but we made it out of there with 30 wings that were still hot and crispy when we got home. I don't know what everyone is talking about but the wings we had were good! I really liked the Honey Lemon Pepper and the Lemon Pepper was pretty standard. I do have to say, though, that their Medium Hot wings werent the best. Something is off about it but it did its job. Maybe bc we were hungry, not sure but, I won't order them again. Also, the Ranch dressing is off, too. Definitely not the creamy, thick Hidden Valley ranch dressing you're used to. Again, it did its job but I won't request it next time. Wing size are average, btw. They have burgers and gyros here but I wouldn't say I'm inclined to try either but rather just stick to the wings. Don't expect any fancy decor. Best way I can describe it is that it's set up like a typical take-out Chinese joint but they serve wings instead. It's in the middle of a strip mall so there's lots of parking."
"We were a little shocked to walk in exactly at noon on a Friday and see this restaurant completely empty. Because of that I can't say much about the service - it was quick and friendly but then again, there was no one else to attend to. We started with garlic knots, but no sooner had we ordered that the server brought us out hot rolls. I don't mean to complain, because those rolls were some of the best hot rolls I have ever had, but if we had known we were going to get bread to start we probably wouldn't have doubled up on the carbs right away!My friend got the lasagna with a side salad, and I got a small chicken ceasar salad and a pepperoni stromboli, planning ahead for leftovers. As we were waiting, the garlic knots came out, and they were delicious. Too many places drown their knots in oil, but these were fluffy with just a little oil and just enough garlic. The real star, though, was the sauce. The dipping sauce is to die for! I'd like to order a few jugs to keep at home for my own pasta. In the meantime, a gentleman came in to dine alone, but it was still empty and awkward. While waiting for the food, I started noticing some small issues. The decor could really use an update - the interior is bland and a little dingy. Dirty ceiling tiles. Old, sometimes stained silk flowers on the tables. Not every table had salt and pepper. There was no music playing, so it was very quiet. It needs a pop of color and some new decor to really make it homey and comfortable. I will say, though, that the kitchen and server areas looked spotless. The food came out fairly quickly and was, like the garlic knots, subtle and delicious. I had some of the best grilled chicken I've ever had on a salad. As for the lasagna, I thought the sauce was a little sour, but my friend said she enjoyed it. My stromboli was good, and their pepperoni had a nice flavor, but it was a little undercooked for my taste. It was strange - it looked crispy, but it wasn't. A little crunch would have really taken it over the top. All in all, I'm not sure why Dante's isn't more busy. Sure, the place needs a refresh, and the server could use a little more training on the menu and how to give really good customer service, but the food is delicious. I also forgot to mention the prices - Dante's prices are excellent. Many things are around $10 for lunch, and that's cheaper than most fast food! If you're in the area, pop in and give them a try. I'll definitely be going back to try some of their other offerings, like a wrap or a sub."
"Food is quality!! Made a pretty bug order for the family and everyone was happy! Inside is clean and the workers are super helpful!!"
"My retired parents live in Yorktown, so I visit them from time to time. When stopping by the local Lowe's store to pick up some supplies, I noticed there's a sub shack by the exit door. I'd never seen anything like that at a big box store.Dominic's of New York has the best cheesesteak and best Italian sausage and peppers sub I've ever eaten! It's not healthy food, but everything is fresh. I wish every Lowe's had a Dominic's!"
"Good variety of food to choose from, good service, never have any issues when I visit. Not a lot of seating inside of plenty outside. I usually order my food to go."
"Am I the only one who didn't know that Charleys has locations outside of malls? Anyways, I'm glad they do because it's way more convenient! This location is fairly new, so new that it still had the balloons up from opening day. The facility was relatively clean as well. Javien behind the counter took our order for us-- he was very friendly and thorough! Our orders came exactly how we ordered them, and we made extra requests to add/ remove certain toppings. My husband enjoyed his Philly Cheesesteak (he also added jalapeño), and I really liked the Pepperoni Cheesesteak though my husband begged to differ, lol. And those CHEESE FRIES! Amazing. I can foresee myself coming here just for the fries.I think they're still working out some kinks as we heard the manager fussing at the employees a little bit. But I'm sure they'll get it worked out in no time! We'll definitely be back!"
"Every time we go to Lowes my husband talks about eating a sandwich from here. It always smells amazing! So today he got the Italian sausage and I got the cheeseburger. I personally didn't like it much, but my husband thought it was a delicious sausage sandwich, just like the ones you get in New York streets. They prepared the food pretty fast and price was decent."
