"EXCELLENT soul food cornerstone items: Mac and cheese, collard greens and fried chicken!! Extensive menu, cooked to order. Definite recommend"
"Great food, loved all of it. They even gave my wife a tiny bottle of champagne for her birthday. The service was absolutely top notch. Like the waitstaff would fit in at Victoria and Albert's."

"I am typing this with Crab meat, shrimp, corn, potatoes, sausage, old Bay seasoning, Cajun seasoning, and garlic butter still dripping off my fingers. Seriously! Such a great find and pleasant surprise since going in we thought it would just be standard fried seafood and wings. But walking in we passed two ladies going to town with a juicy tray each filled with seafood boil. We didn't even look at the menu; we told the guy that's what we wanted, too! Looking back at their menu, they definitely have tons of other things to order but the Spicy Korean wings!?!?! Yeahhhhh, I'm coming back for those for sure. Price for each tray was "only" $23.99 and I say only because that other place (y'all know what I'm talking about... Don't play lol!) charges $10 more. Here, that's the price WITH the shrimp heads OFF! Drinks are self serve and you sit anywhere you'd like. It's like a fast food joint but not really. Heh. I didn't give it 5 stars but the taste and service definitely was. I knocked off a star because 1) it was hot inside (thermostat read 78 degrees even with the front door propped open to let the breeze in - yikes!), and 2) the place needed a REALLY REALLY REALLLLLY GOOD mopping! Other than that, lots of parking since it's in the Pleasant Valley strip mall, two doors down from Tung Hoi. Don't expect fancy decor; you're there for the food! They do have adequate seating though and drinks are refillable so those are definitely pluses. Definitely recommend, definitely will return, and definitely a happy customer! Tip: Ask for both sauces to go in your seafood boil!! It wasn't spicy by any means but I would ask for extra next time."
"My husband and I had the most amazing meal here. I had been leery of trying this restaurant since the reviews were a little low but also interested at the same time. Our first restaurant choice was closed so we decided to give Norfolk Seafood Company a try. The food was amazing. We had the baked oysters, shrimp and grits and the bacon wrapped scallops. We also splurged on the bread pudding. Everything was wonderful. The ambience was perfect. We'll be back for sure. Highly recommend this place."
"I've visited this location a couple of times before but have only ordered the seafood boils, which are great, but I was craving fried seafood and figured The Twisted crab was the best place to go!Thankfully when we arrived on a Thursday evening, it was pretty empty so we were seated right away. Unfortunately, we did have to wait quite a while for a waiter to come and take our order but once she arrived, she was very apologetic. I ordered a Classic Margarita (my favorite) then we decided on the Fried Catfish Basket, Fried Shrimp Basket, Fried Oyster Basket and the Fried Calamari. The food was delivered in a pretty timely manner and it was piping hot, which I liked! Our waiter brought out all the condiments so we didn't even have to ask for anything. The catfish was fried perfectly and paired very well with the corn. The oysters were tender and flavorful and the shrimp was just amazing. Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed with the calamari. It was very overcooked and had a rubbery texture.Overall, the majority of the food was delicious and I was very impressed with the portion size. If you're looking for fried seafood or even a good seafood boil, I would highly recommend The Twisted Crab."
"Service levels matter! Lauren is AMAZING! From start to finish she was on it and it was greatly appreciated. I'm in Norfolk for a week and have had less that stellar dining experiences. This place had soild happy hour deals and who doesn't love seafood. The prices were reasonable for your standard seafood boil. We opted to add broccoli (highly recommend) and egg. The sauce was a little on the salty side so if you're worried about that ask them to go lite. Overall the food was solid, prices fair, and worth the trip for the service. You can tell Lauren is a seasoned professional, engaging but not overbearing, proactive in tending to her customers, and great energy. If I come back to town, I'd visit again."
"I was so excited when I realized there was a Manchu in Richmond! I haven't been to Nola in a few years and this was one of my must haves whenever I visited so this was a pleasant surprise. The food is hot and fresh, decent portion sizes, affordable, and the same quality as their family location in New Orleans!"
"The boil bags were amazing. I got the lobster tails and snow crab. Everyone else got shrimp and crab except my daughter. She got chargrilled oyster. She said they were to die for. The gumbo was also outstanding. The music was great. The staff great too! I have been in VB 3.5 years and just found this gem! We will be bag again. Oh and the check with drinks, 5 gumbos and 1 Cesar salad, 5 boil bags, the oysters and coconut shrimp came to $211.00. You cannot beat that with my boil bag having 4 lobster tails and a 1/2 pound of snow crab."
"Had a wonderful dinner here at the Boiling Crab. Cara our waitress was a sweetheart and took her time explaining all our different options. She was very enthusiastic and a joy to talk to. The quality of the seafood was also good, and the Shabang sauce was my favorite. Tyler the manager was very professional and super kind. He made sure to introduce himself and made sure our experience was amazing! Great hospitality, great food, what could go wrong?"

i went here and was told to call my order in so i went back to my car and called 6 times. no one answered any of them. my friend suggested ordering for pick up on grub hub so we did that and was given a 30 min estimate. our food took almost 2 hours. people were going in and out and everybody waiting outside were waiting just as long as we were. when we finally got the food was actually good asf. i had cajun shrimp pasta which was piping hot and delicious as well as a fried fish meal with mac and cheese that was good and collard greens that were seasoned well. everything was hot except my greens. not sure what the wait was about but the food is good i would return

Visited Keland's while visiting some friends. Let me tell you this place did NOT DISAPPOINT! I wish I would have taken photos of our food, but we were surrounded by great vibes and the owner Sean who talked with and has such an incredible story to share. We had the chicken ceasar salad, shrimp po boy, whiting po boy and a crispy chicken sandwich. Let us PRAY for those Cajun seasoned fries and that dipping sauce??? 10/10 you must visit!!!!

As a seafood LOVER y'all know I had to come and try this place once I came across it . The restaurant is very spacious and clean , the staff are very friendly . The prices are very very reasonable for the amount of food you get .I ordered the crab and shrimp combo . All the combos come with potatoes two corn a nice serving of broccoli and a link of sausage , you get a lot of food for 23$ probably the cheapest around . The seafood was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The shrimp and crabs were very fresh as well .. We also ordered their honey Sriracha Wings sooooooo Bomb I cant make this up . Obviously everything is cooked fresh to order and they didn't take Long at all . This style of Cajun seafood reminds me of New Orleans seafood boils it was amazing and I cannot wait to give this business more of my hard earned dollars lol

Second time here and both times were very enjoyable. I'm a foodie and I appreciate a good food/drink menu and a nice ambiance and Norfolk Seafood Company fits that! The service was top tier..our server was also the bartender and he even made us a drink that wasn't on the menu that came out sooo good (lemon and lavender margarita with a sugar rim, you're welcome ) You get cornbread with butter brought to your table (so good) I didn't get a chance to snap pictures of our appetizers but we did order a few different oysters, baked brie and the calamari and all did not disappoint one bit!! For my entree I ordered the blackened salmon Oscar and my friend had the ravioli special and both were very good! This place is low key and not very busy (not sure why) but I highly recommend you try it!! Don't let the current star rating fool you.

Let me just say, I absolutely adore this place may be my favorite seafood boil bag ever... I ordered the T5 1/2lb Snow crab legs, 1/2 Shrimp no head, 1/2 Crawfish extra potatoes no sausage in twisted sauce extra spicy!! It didn't disappoint at all! The seafood was fresh and piping hot. The potatoes were a little overcooked but they didn't take away from the seafood itself! Service was top notch I didn't like my drink and my waitress made me a new one with no problems! Great vibe with great music selections!I will definitely be back!

This place never disappoints! I've been here multiple times, and the food and service is always top-notch. I usually go for their chicken banh mi sandwich because they make a FANTASTIC and authentic banh mi. Super flavorful. Their fries are great as well! I really like their Cajun fries. And they beat the best sauces. Manchu is kind of a hidden gem, hole in the wall, take out place. It's easy to order on their website. They tell you when it'll be ready. Or you can call to order, or order in person. They have a waiting area. And the food never takes too long to come out. Easy to find free street parking in the area. One my favorite thing about Manchu is the staff. They really make you feel like family when you stop by. They're so warm and welcoming.

Looking for seafood? Come to Boil Bay! The ambiance is great. The decor reminds me of being in the water with sharks and fish everywhere. I ordered the "pick your own" meal. I ordered shrimp with no heads and a lb of crab legs. I opted out of corn (sorry, mom no vegetables for me lol) and got eggs and potatoes. I ordered all this with the mild Boil Bay sauce. The meal was great! If you take anything from this review, remember this-- ORDER EGGS WITH YOUR BAG! The reason why they do not have 5 stars, is because the wait staff was a little slow. Now, I believe it's because they did have a big party in here, but I had to ask for refills, crackers, and butter. The butter was separated so I ended up not using it. 7/10000 recommend.

"Amazing local spot. I sat at the bar upstairs and had a beer with the seafood dream. That dish was amazing. Cool vibes and everyone was super friendly to an outsider. The service was spot on also."
"I found this restaurant right here on Yelp because I live out of state. I sent these meals as a birthday lunch for a friend and he and his family loved it. I called the restaurant to make sure they understood my instructions and they were more than accommodating."
"Mr. Boil has been a go-to for Sophia and myself for years ever since they opened up shop. In the past, I ordered crawfish boil combos but since switched to fried baskets. Recently, we ordered takeout via online. Easy as always. And within 15 minutes, they were ready for pickup.Botb of us ordered fried oyster baskets (hers with fried corn on the side and a side order of onion rings and mine with sweet potato fries and a side of onion rings). This meal made yours truly full for the night. They did not skip on any amount. But I would say some of the food needed some seasoning, especially the sweet potato fries. But I had condiments to cover for the loss.Even though it lacked with seasoning, the food was good enough. These guys are very reliable when it comes to their product. You betcha we'll order again soon enough :)"
"Whew chile, Boil Bay is top 2 and it ain't #2! My friends and I come here for birthdays, anniversaries, funerals ... hell, just because it's Tuesday, and the food never gets old! If you're in Hampton Roads and looking for seafood that actually hits, Boil Bay Seafood City is thee spot. Compared to similar restaurants in the area, their flavors are unmatched. You can taste the difference in every bite, especially with their signature "boil bay sauce". My go-to? A boil bag with 1/2 lb of shrimp (head off), 1/2 lb of sausage with spicy boil bay sauce, and a side of cajun seafood rice. It's perfection every single time. Oh, and do yourself a favor--get the hush puppies. They're top tier, especially with that honey butter. You won't regret it.The vibes here are immaculate. They always have 90s and 00s R&B playing, so you will be vibing while you're feasting. It's the kind of place where the food, the music, and the atmosphere come together like magic.Every single person I've brought here has walked away raving about how much they love it. Boil Bay isn't just a restaurant, it's an experience. Whether you're a local or just passing through, don't sleep on this gem. Trust me, you'll leave with a full stomach and a happy heart."
"Perfect brunch date and how cool that they were on Shark Tank. Went here twice-- first time with the bestie, second time on a couples date. Such a fun time for everyone! I cannot get over their mango preserve! Loved it with the fruits.Everything we ordered was delicious. We got the chesapeake benedict (yum!), chicken fried benedict, shrimp & grits, sledge skillet (amazing presentation), croissant basket, and a flight of virgin mimosas. It can get busy on the weekends so be sure to go early. Around noon on Saturday, it was about a 40 minute wait. The next Saturday, we were there at 10 am and were seated instantly.Definitely coming back and bringing more friends."
"Before I begin I would like to say that this review is based solely upon my personal experiences and my personal experiences alone, so with that being said let's get to it!. My wife and I came here to celebrate her birthday and we decided to invite a bunch of our close friends and family to join us on this special occasion!.We arrived and were then quickly led over by to the reservation area where tables were set up for us. As the guests started to arrive everyone started ordering their food and beverages. At first we only had one waitress and it was a lot for her because the waiting time to put in our orders was a little lengthy. But we spoke with the one of the owners and he kindly provided us with another waitress. The food and beverages were flowing nicely at this point and we all enjoyed each other with conversation and laughter. The night ended with the infamous happy birthday song. My wife enjoyed herself and we plan to return for other events. Let me add that this restaurant is in a great location in the Old Towne neighborhood of downtown Portsmouth. Right by the water. If you're ever in the area please stop by and check them out!.Before I go I would like to add, try the jerk chicken egg rolls.. ( a must try )they come with a spicy dipping sauce. The sauce is a little spicy depending on your spice tolerance level."
"I attend this event unexpectedly I was truly satisfied I came around 8 AM everything was filling do you have food pool table screen TV for sports hip-hop music and happy hour what all a working person need in one place perfect perfect a hot $30 you will have a ball will continue to Visit"
"When we were seated it was around 7pm on a Saturday it wasn't very busy just a few tables and one large party. We were told they only have 2 menus, so my party of 5 said fine and took turns looking through all the 2 menus we had. None of us had been to a place like this before, we didn't know how it all worked the waiter was patient the first date we came on 5/18/24 he took our photo as a group and he was fantastic no complaints that date except the only having 2 menus thing. We came back the same group of 5 people on a Saturday again around 645pm on 5/25/24 the place was not busy again they told us we only have 2 menus. Come on one time I get it but twice with no more then 2 menus? That's annoying, we were seated and rushed to order the waiter "I don't remember his name his was shorter heavyset black man" he did not introduce himself to us and he said "do you want to order now I have a large party and I'll be a minute with them so I won't be able to come back to your table for quite some time?" I said we just st down and only have 2 menus so we need a minute. He legit walked away that's all. This experience was just awful, the last time 5/18/24 we came here in ordered a half lb snow crab legs and got two clusters this time I order the same and only got 1 cluster of snow crab legs. When I asked why the difference to the waiter on 5/25/24 he said he didn't know that's all nothing about him checking with a manager or anything. We ordered an appetizer which was Buffalo shrimp this time around the shrimp (compared to 5/18/24 visit ) was disgusting , mushy and almost no Buffalo on it at all. This same waiter while he claimed to be too busy with a huge party to help us was seated at a booth by the window with a female customer for over 15 mins while we waited for him to come back to our table to check out. Over all the experience on 5/25/24 was a dumpster fire from the minute we walked in to the time we left."
"First things first, they have a food truck! Dragon Ball Z fans, you'll love it solely for the name of it; "Nimbus". I recently ordered to-go and the service was extremely quick for a Friday evening. The server accommodating me was really sweet. The look of the place is thoroughly clean. I loved that they had a bar in there as well. The food came out hot and definitely filled our wants & needs for the night! Totally recommend this place."
"Went with friends to celebrate a birthday and it was a great experience. It was one of the best services I've ever experienced. It was my first time trying seafood boil and their sauce just took everything to the next level. The restaurant had a good vibe. I highly recommend it :)"
"I had a fun time at The Twisted Crab in Portsmouth! We ordered a Halloween themed drink which was tasty. I loved the Crown Apple and gold shimmer in it! We sat at the bar and the two bartenders were friendly. They gave good food recommendations too. I ordered the snow crab legs. They were so tasty and I appreciated the extra butter it came with. The Cajun seasoning was amazing! Place is clean and organized. Parking is ample. It was a nice time!"
"Ordered take-out again and it was perfection. Had the best birthday dinner for my husband at home. It was fresh, delicious and we had leftovers. The specials are well worth the price for quality AND amount. Thank you again."
"Rainy and ugly, so what better to put you in a great mood then southern food with a creole kick. That describes this establishment of home cooked comfort food. It's not a large restaurant, but they deliver big flavor. I had the smothered pork chops, greens and a delicious sweet potato soufflé oh can't forget that great cornbread that comes with the dishes. The prices are reasonable and the service is awesome. A definite diamond in the ruff. This was my first of many visits to come!"
"Kiera was AMAZING! Attentive, sociable, PERFECTION; thank you for your service! lol.Great suggestion on the no spice Shaking Crab sauce (still too much heat on the backend for a toddler btw Yelpers, my kid snuck a lil bit :D) We were a large party so I know how that can be funnnn in Server-Land but she made everyone feel like a smaller party lol and we enjoyed another lovely family birthday at Shaking Crab. :)"
"We had a taste for some fried seafood, and decided to give Boil Bay a try based off of the photos on Yelp. To be honest the exterior had me a little skeptical, but upon entry I was greatly surprised. The decor was beautifully done and fit the overall theme of the food. I wasn't able to get the best photos of the lovely aesthetics, because of the lighting. They have a huge menu selection, so I am excited to try more items from here. During this visit we ordered: Fried Calamari, Fried Oysters, Onion Rings, A Soft Shell Crab Po Boy, and two kids Fried Shrimp baskets with Fries. Each item came out fast, HOT and fresh. Each basket was packed, so you definitely get your money's worth. We enjoyed everything except the Fried Calamari. I would like to note that our decision to get everything fried at once was a fail, because I am pretty sure the same batter is used for each fried item. Lastly, customer service was great. The young lady we had did a great job, however we came during lunch (discounted rate time) and she charged us each individual item at regular price. Other than that we have no complaints! Overall Score: 8/10Location: Great 9/10Prices: Reasonable 8/10Customer Service: Good 8/10Food: Good 8/10Recommend"
"Figured I'd try this place for lunch got the shrimp Cajun shrimp boil was very good service was great as well definitely will comeback and try it again"
