"I stopped by Tapioca Go to get a Lychee Green Tea one day and let my boyfriend take a sip. He enjoyed it so much that after we got to his house, we went back to get himself his own drink and another for myself!Ever since then, it's been our go-to boba shop whenever we're in Chesapeake. Love how Tapioca Go isn't too pricey, gives you a generous portion of toppings, and doesn't give you too much ice in your drinks.Thank you Tapioca Go for being the first boba shop to get my boyfriend hooked on boba :)"
"I'm somewhat indifferent about this place. Located within close proximity to Guandong Taste, it's like the perfect after dinner treat. Parking is shared among the businesses in the area and normally isn't an issue to park within walking distance.Military discounts are offered on Wednesdays and they have a rewards program where you accrue points towards free drinks. The interior was in some disarray and cluttered. A few long hanging cobwebs and dust bunnies were present but not alarming.I asked for a slush to be half mango, half strawberry. What I got tasted like a strawberry milkshake and it lacked that "wow" when you go to a new place. I'm pretty confident that I won't go back because it took an unusually long time to make my order and I have had better slushes made the right way and tasted far better.Customer service was welcoming and genuine. The flow of customers can depend on the time of day. Surprisingly, this location is closed on Saturdays. For some businesses, this could be a peak business day but I'm sure they have their reasons. Not the worst experience but this location is far from me and I don't see myself going out of my way to get mediocre beverages."

"Pho was very good I had P4 round steak, flank, and brisket. Spring rolls were decent as well but not "amazing". Great sauce though! Additionally, not a ton of items on the menu besides pho. Service seemed quite rushed although the place wasn't busy for lunch. I wish our server asked for any appetizers first before entrees because it became confusing.Nothing really special about the place. Average tables, chairs, and decor."
"Tealux is such a cute spot to satisfy a boba or nice tea craving! I went with my little sister because we were in the mood for a nice cold drink & boba sounded delicious! When you walk in you do have an option to either order on the kiosk or from someone behind the counter! I watched them carefully make our drinks! My sister had the oat brown sugar boba drink. She rated it a 8.7/10! She said it had a nutty taste, which she enjoyed! The tapioca balls were nice too!I had the Luna with was a jasmine tea with lychee! It was delicious! I am definitely going to make this my go to drink when I'm in the area!! I rate this a 9.1/10!The service was good! The staff were quiet and focused, but also friendly! Check them out! :)"
"Pho on point- small bowl loaded with the collagen broth I needed after a migraine attack this week. Weather-32degrees on Mon Sat 65 degrees. The owners are from Arlington, Va so they definitely knew the Vietnamese community & spots there. I am a fan."
"Very cute store, decor is on point as well. The vanilla cake I had was very light and delicate in taste. My first thought yo my drink was the mango flavor was nonexistent until I realize the cashier did not hear me clearly and then gave me a brown sugar milk, tea. Not a huge deal honestly Gives me a reason to try them again!"
"Sophia and I were last here a year ago checking out this spot which was new at the time. Since we were in the area last Saturday, we decided to stop by to see what's been going in.We were greeted by the staff once we walked in. One thing that I noticed was they added a self-service kiosk which saves time for staff taking orders directly. As far as inside goes, everything looked pretty neat like before. And music was playing adding a calm-like vibe throughout. A few people were inside either dining in or ordering to-go. My selection was a large Strawberry Yogurt at 50% sugar with tapioca pearls added. This was very good. Not too sweet even with the pearls added. Sophia ordered an Ube Mike Cream and enjoyed herself as well. Not really much to add here, but once again, Joyu came through for us before we made the trek home. Hopefully, we'll be back soon. Till next time :)"
"Came here for the first time and the ambiance is super cute. Super easy to order at the screen and there are plenty of choices. Their boba is smaller than typical boba spots but the creme brulee taro was sooo yummy!"
"Jelly Ball is one of the OG boba spots in the area! They've been around since Lynnhaven Mall had an upstairs food court. Now, their location is near T-Mobile, a big kiosk where the carousel used to be. My personal favorites are the Cantaloupe pearl (boba) drink, and sometimes I'll get the smoothie version and add boba too. They have pearl drinks, smoothies, milk shakes, teas, and you can add boba to all drinks if you choose. There's a small extra charge but worth it. They have tons of flavors, definitely too many to list. See pics of menu. My mom LOVES their halo-halo (says it's the best in the area, so many fixins'! Prices are very fair. They also have a location on Virginia Beach Blvd, and a location in the (hopefully) soon-to-be-open SK8 House (family entertainment center,) just down the street from this Lynnhaven mall location. I also enjoy the little extras that they sell. Grab yourself a Jelly Ball pin or pop socket. Sometimes they have Kinder Eggs or other goodies. Last time we went, my mom even got filtered masks. I always receive the best service and boba here. Always a fan!*Review #45 of 2020."

Randomly decided i wanted a boba type drink to carry home with me Saw this little shop tucked away in the shopping center I did a quick Yelp search and decided yes yes I want this Oh I love the one piece decorations that are all over the restaurant The prices are very reasonable they have peach popping boba as well normally I only see strawberry I was very excited for this. Then I saw they have a matcha drink with red bean as a topping and I got super excited I ordered two drinks with no regrets hahaha I got the Hawaiian tea which came with a full slab of pineapple I say slab because it was like rack of ribs hahaha it was the biggest spear of pineapple id ever had in a drink and It was sweet and juicy The matcha drink also had a cheese foam topping this was my favorite for such. Next time I'll ask for no ice but otherwise it was perfect The staff are friendly and work very fast. The bathrooms were clean and the whole place had a great feel to it

I've been to Boba Chef a couple of times and I would say it's a solid spot for boba! - Parking - Center lot. Plenty of parking.- Vibe - Modest surroundings. There are a few tables and both times I've visited, it's pretty quiet. - TLC - The service here is always nice and courteous. The service is very speedy.- Sips - Passion fruit green tea with mango popping boba - very fruity and refreshing. I always ask for 100% sweet, just like me LOL. And totally obsessed with the popping bobas! All in all, great place to grab a drink and I would think a great place to do some remote work because it's nice and quiet in there. Then you can also go to Guangdong for lunch or go across the street to Angie's Bakery and go back to work! Enjoy, Friends, and never stop exploring!

Service was amazing. Boba slush was so smooth and creamy. Pho was hot with a great clarity in broth prior to add ins, I was too quick and greedy to get a picture. Spring rolls were perfect size, great to eat before meal to hold you over. Not too big. Very clean and beautiful restaurant, lively and recently released songs are playing. Much seating, parking available outside. Children friendly. All indoor. There is a bathroom, entrance is handicapped accessible but may be a little difficult due to double door entrance.

On the way back to Newport News, Sophia convinced me to stop here for a treat. We first came here via Yelp's 7.57 deal almost 2 years ago where I had milk tea and a sub sandwich. We have been to the Ghent location many times and always enjoyed their selections. So after leaving Always Latte from the Yelp Experience event close by, this stop had to end the Norfolk trip on a high note. Or did it?We were greeted by the staff upon walking in and there were a few people seated. They were quite busy with orders, which is a great thing. And like before, the vibe was welcoming. Can't ask for anything more. At first, I wasn't gonna order anything since I already had dessert. But you know what? Why not order something?! So I went on ahead and chose a strawberry smoothie at 50% sugar with tapioca balls added. I gotta admit this was very good. And quite honestly, the best item I've had from Tealux Cafe. This smoothie was packed with flavor and you can never go wrong with tapioca. This right here kept me satisfied during the drive home. You know I'll be back here the next time we're in the area. Till next time :)

By far my favorite pho place ever. The food is always fast, hot, and fresh. My strawberry smoothie is always made perfectly! The meat never has an old or leftover taste, I absolutely love it. I always have the same server when I come which I believe to be the owner. He's such a sweet guy and always says "see you tomorrow" which is funny because I always want to go back the next day. It's such a small, cute, and quiet restaurant and such a peaceful place to enjoy your food. Every time I go I get the same thing which is a strawberry smoothie, the fried spring rolls, and the #9 pho with extra cilantro.

Way, way, WAYYY too sweet. I ordered a horchata (with 50% less sugar!) and added tapioca pearls. I couldn't even get through 3 sips of my drink and had to throw it away :( It was sickeningly sweet, like there was half a cup of sugar in there. And I even asked for less sugar.. yikes! The horchata mix was also gross - a very artificial vanilla flavor that was not at all enjoyable. The ladies working the counter were friendly and helpful. My advice to management: reduce the amount of sugar in the recipe! It's honestly not even palatable, and this is coming from someone who very much enjoys sweet things. The person who I came with ordered a mango lemonade with 75% less sugar and even that was way too sweet.I was also told that all of their milk teas were made with oolong tea. Would have appreciated more caffeine-free options.

The best boba in the area! Fortunately I live close enough to come by often and everything I've had is delicious. Milk tea, ice teas, hot teas...you can't go wrong. Love the self serve kiosk which helps you really understand how customized you can get with making your orders. My fav is the brown sugar boba with coconut milk and half the sugar. Staff is always friendly and this cafe is nicely decorated and ALWAYS clean!!

Cute Asian cafe with plenty of parking, board games, and free WiFi! I ordered their very berry latte with 0% ice, oat milk, and peach pops, topped with milk foam. Not too sweet. Perfect size (large). I recommend stirring it with a straw such that the berry is actually part of the drink! Would come again!

"Price good and was super quick to come out. They have self order kiosks you can use too."
"Was it to good to be true.. another poke spot?! of course, I had to get my sneak peak of this hot and new restaurant. Honestly, these boba and ramen places are popping up like flies.. This one is located at College Park Square.Beautiful and eye catching is how i'd first describe the place as I walked in. There are many tables to sit in. The place is brand spankin new and clean. The kiosk where u order your meals, fit the fast casual theme. Touch screen ordering makes it convenient.. but I still had to ask several questions so I could better understand what I was ordering at the menu. I approached the counter to order. She reverted me back to the touch pads.. as their only system of ordering. She was the only worker there to man the food handling station and the register. She was sweet.. After a glance of the poke menu, I decided to go with the medium bowl that has 3 protein options and sidea and my friend got the seafood ramen. We ordered at the touch pad and had it printed and paid at the front register so we could claim ourselves a military discount. The ramen came out in a timely manner.. so did my friends boba. My poke came a little longer than normal.Upon sharing, the first glimpse of the seafood ramen bowl looked familiar. It looked appetizing, but it was missing the steam that usual comes out when u have a hot bowl of ramen. I was a little disappointed in the temperature but I still kept on eating. The egg had a nice yolk to it. I was not sure why the yolk was browner in color than what I'm used to. But it still tasted good and it wasn't over cooked. The soup contained fish cake slices, green onions, crab stick and the little shrimps. I give it 2.5stars on flavor and presentation. The poke bowl, I ordered salmon, tuna and (spicy)tuna tataki with the sushi rice. I was impressed by the flavor of the poke sauce. The garnishes and toppings included were: edamame, cucumber, masago, crab meat, furikake, greenonion and cilantro. First bite.. the fish was more chewy than normal. It had a fishy flavor that did not go so well going down my throat. Ugh.. I wasn't sure if I was being o early critical but boy it wasn't at all fresh. I gave it to my girlfriend to try. She too found the poke unappetizing... I felt unhaplg knowing we both only had a few nibbles of a not so flavorful poke. It lacked freshness, and it needed some salt and maybe more time of marinating. The cuts of fish were no good. I ended up returning the poke to get a refund. No stars for the poke. The boba, my friend and her almond flavored boba was good. The coconut in it was rough but the boba was prepared well. Sadly, she found some piece of *PLasTic.... in her boba as she went to consume it. A quarter away of drinking and already leaving the restaurant left us even more disappointed with minus a star to the restaurant.Overall they scored at 2.5 in stars. Forappearance 4, quality 1, cleanliness 3 (due to plastic in boba), taste 2."
"Overpriced for the quality of the food. I definitely won't eat here again since there are much better and reasonably priced Vietnamese nearby. I ordered a smallChicken pho ga with beef broth instead of chicken broth. The noodles were overcooked and gummy, and it was mostly noodles and very little broth. The broth tasted pretty good. Not the best I've had but decent. I also got shrimp and pork summer rolls. The pork tasted like it sat uncovered in the refrigerator and had no flavor/seasoning. I guess I'm spoiled because most Vietnamese restaurants I've tried marinate their pork so it has a nice flavor. The shrimp were cut super thin, and there were no discernible herbs in the rolls, so that made them really bland. The sauce was super sweet and needed sambas but all they had was sriracha. My husband ordered a seafood soup and said it was okay. For drinks we only had water. The atmosphere is like a quick service place but they charge a sit-down restaurant price. For the two of us we spent $55ish without the tip. Totally overpriced for the experience and food."
"My kids love this place! Clean, quick, friendly. Try the curly fries too, they're great!"
"Poke bowl prices keep going up. The service is good, as are the portions, but the new owners raised the prices since rebranding from Domoshi to Molly Ramen."
"The Whale Tea is a splendid addition to the small shopping center on Nimmo Parkway adjacent to Red Mill Commons. The store adds more culinary and culture variety to the now sprawling utopia that is southeastern Virginia Beach. I tried the brown sugar milk tea with boba and it was delicious. I had it with only 30% sugar and was still able to enjoy the drink. They have a plethora of different tea options so I'm excited to go back and try different flavors."
"Tapioca Go is my ultimate guilty pleasure! Their Basque cheesecake is insanely good--rich, creamy, and perfectly caramelized on top. I always pair it with their honey lemon tea, which is refreshing and just the right amount of sweet. It's my go-to treat when I'm craving something indulgent, and it never disappoints!"
"I Love this place!! The owners are really nice, and the kids are sweet to. The crabs are good, and they season them well. My mom loves them, my son loves seafood, so he goes for the shrimp and crab or just the shrimp boil. I love the fried catfish good seasoning and they are a pretty decent size fish. The crawfish are good, but one of our favorite's is there calamari especially when they are fresh. Lol They never quite make it all the way home. It's a eat-in restaurant for a few people nothing huge but enough seating if you wanted to stay in. The place is okay on the inside. During the summer I know they have to be burning up in the back, because it's a pit of you know what in the front most of the time. But they be in there like champs pushing out that good seafood. Keep it up!! We will continue to support their business. Hmm wish they delivered to my neck of the woods. Or had one in my area:-{ Be blessed y'all."
"11/30/2024: Grand opening morning - one word to describe the drinks, atmosphere, staff/customer service: perfect. It was great and a pleasure seeing the Owner and his Team as well! We got two drinks: one large Moonlite Lychee Tea with regular (100%) sugar and regular (100%) ice and one large Strawberry Lemon Tea with regular (100%) sugar and regular (100%) ice and strawberry toppings. Both drinks were delicious and refreshing. I kid you not, but my partner literally went in and got another one after we walked to the vehicle. I highly recommend this unique tea/coffee establishment. Both of their establishments - they got one in Virginia Beach as well! Great work Team! Looking forward in your continual development and great things that you and the Team continue to make!"
"Fresh, tasty sushi with a healthy twist! Friendly staff and quick service--perfect for on-the-go!"
"My first time here- stumbled across the restaurant by accident. Somehow the universe makes sure that you are where you need to be. They seem to be out of a bunch of stuff, so I went with the Classic Crispy Chicken sandwich, and made it Deluxe (+$1.50) because I enjoy vegetables on my sandwich. Made a combo of it, because who doesn't like curly fries?!? Got an iced green tea, which was pretty good as green tea goes. The sandwich was excellent- everything I want in a fried chicken sandwich- crispy, hot, juicy, slightly spicy. The fries were tasty and fresh. Ingrid was very helpful to a poor old first-timer, and the total before tip came to $11.98, so it was cheaper than the other places nearby. I'm not even worrying about the calories because I walked here! TL;DR- hot, fresh, delicious lunch in 5 minutes for $12 plus tip. How can you go wrong? I will definitely be back."
"Their Banana Milk Tea is Delicious! I was surprised by the great flavor and creaminess of the drink. I'm not a big Boba fan, so that I wouldn't get that again. Otherwise, nothing but positive things to say. I also tried their Pineapple Tea, and it was incredible"
"I thought this place was really good. It's in shopping center so there is plenty of parking. They have 2 kiosks that you order your food. It was really simple and user friendly. I ordered a poke bowl and crab rangoon. They have a pretty big menu. They have more than the other place like this one. WInk wink. They have sushi and ramen and poke bowls and all sorts of apps and more. After you order and pay, you sit and wait. Your number is on top of your receipt. They have some cute seating areas with comfy couches and chairs. They also have tables. Food came out fast and the portions were generous. I was surprised how much I liked the crab rangoon. Great price and generous order. The poke bowl was fresh and exactly how I ordered it. They were busy and hustling but still friendly with a smile. I would definitely go back and would recommend."
"I have been a fan of Whale Tea since they popped up in Hampton Roads a few years ago. First, it was through a Yelp Elite event in Virginia Beach and then they opened up shop in Yorktown. Most recently, they appeared here in Hampton Roads where Kung Fu Tea once stood. Sophia and I have been here a few times already. So how does this location compare to the others? After ordering food from Chick-Fil-A, we drove here to order treats. Just like the other locations, you can order from a kiosk station which transits to the counter and from there, your selection will be ready. And the staff did greet us once we walked inside with pop music playing. My selection was a large creme brulee Oreo milk at 50% sugar with tapioca pearls. It was pretty good and full of flavor. The reason why it's a 4-star review is due to only one kiosk station on site. The other two locals have two stations you can order from just in case you walk in besides ordering online. It does add time to your wait, but at the end of the day, your product does come as requested.Overall, not a bad stop. As always, we'll pop in for some much needed desserts. Till next time :)"
"I'm giving them 3 stars as their poke bowls and boba tea are good. however, steer clear of the sushi, or at least the salmon rolls. The rice they used is not seasoned, tastes like mush, and the soy sauce they have might as well be dyed water for the amount of flavor you get. Seriously, if you want sushi, go next door to Harris Teeter and grab some as I guarantee it will taste better."
