"We've been twice now. Both during covid, both on cold winter days. There's only outdoor seating, and I'm guessing it hasn't always been like this. You order beer from the counter at one end of the brewery building. There are plenty of tables and the food truck that was there both times we went (Cary st snacks, or something like that) sells some tasty tots. The people working there seem friendly, and the beer is tasty. Most of their beer is high ABV, so watch out for that. I wish they had a few more that were in the range where I felt like I could have more than one and not be drunk haha. I loved their German chocolate cake lager, and their carrot cake imperial amber ale was also good. I didn't love their maidens blonde which is a shame because it's one of the few lower ABV on offer right now. Their twelfth night quadrupel is really tasty! We got it in a four pack to go. Basically, this farm brewery is pretty cool because of the fact that they grow a bunch of the ingredients they use in their beers, and we enjoy several of the beers we've tried, and we will continue to visit. I'd like to see a few more options with lower ABV and once this pandemic has calmed down I'll be interested to see how they use indoor space etc. You should check it out!"
"Came out for the reggae fest. They had several food trucks and music all day so much positivity so much love happiness and chill all around During normal hours they offer various beers and different food trucks throughout the month"

"Alerts does an absolutely wonderful job with their brews and their collaborations with non-profits is commendable! I tried the Collective Efforts Hazy DIPA today! #yummo The Weekend Lager and Superb IPA are two of my faves!"
"I've lived down the street for over a year and hadn't been here until a few weeks ago...I've since been back two other times. Super friendly staff who told me all about their product and members club. I have yet to join but I am strongly considering it! The outside space is large and is dog friendly. Brought my dog last week! I tried their raspberry seltzer's, SUPER flavorful, but my go-to is the Tropic Thunder (ipa) I believe that's what it's called !"
"This place was great, we had omnivores, a vegetarian and a vegan! Everything was lovely. Someone had a cocktail, someone had a mocktail, folks had sodas, cold cider, and a hot cider. We ate out back at the picnic tables, wrapped things up with a cornhole game!"
"Love this place! We were looking for a casual place to get something to eat and stumbled upon norther neck brewery. They have tons of outdoor seating (perfect because we had our dog). The inside is also large and fun. They had live music when we went in. The bartender was so friendly and helpful. I had a wine and husband had a beer. We ordered a grilled cheese sandwich. A pretzel and fries to share. Everything was delicious! We will definitely be back!"
"I was invited to this place for a couple of drinks and didn't have high expectations of the food. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the beer. I ordered a couple of CPO IPAs on tap, even though I don't usually drink IPAs. But this one was delicious and had a subtle hint of orange that I appreciated. The staff was very helpful and gladly answered all my questions about the beer. They brought out a sample platter of ribs, brisket, and sausage, which were all cooked to perfection and much better than your average BBQ joint. The service was excellent, and the place had a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Overall, it's a great brewery to hang out with friends and colleagues."
"I visited Triple Crossing on a trip to Richmond as it was a relatively short walk from my hotel downtown. The brewery is in an old brick building, which adds character and serves as a welcome change from the modern breweries in Scott's Addition. They also have a few TVs over the bar which was nice to catch a game or gaze at when you're not indulging in your beer.My bartender was great and even mentioned the happy hour specials without my asking. He was very attentive and guided me to a couple of beers that were exactly what I was looking for. I ended up leaving with a four-pack of Double Falcon, which is an amazing hazy double IPA.I enjoyed my first visit to Triple Crossing and I'm looking forward to trying more of their delicious beers on my next trip to Richmond."
"I stopped in here on a Sunday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised. I entered in the middle of a bingo round and mentioned to the guy at the bar that I wasn't familiar with their beer. I told him what I like and he suggested a 4 beer flight. He did let me taste several beers, after which I did get the 4 beers he recommended. They were all pretty tasty. I'd say the most interesting was the raspberry lemonade, which was really a beer. It's a fun place, with pinball machines, an outdoor area (although it was too cold to sit outside) and ample parking. I'd definitely stop in next time I'm in the area."
"Great selection of craft brews. We did flights of 4 and shared so we could taste all 9 varieties. Then we bought 2 cans of each to take home and share. Well worth it."
"Very small, located next to a jujitsu studio or something like that. kinda hard to find. They have a food truck on the weekend and some little snacks for sale as well. I had a flight which was good. Wasn't blown away but wasn't the worst beer either. Just decent, solid beer!!! They have a pay it forward wall. and the guy behind the counter was really nicegames for adults and kids. much bigger inside than it looks. They take credit cards and sell sodas so a nice little place for some brews!"
"Great afternoon enjoying some delicious beers. Music and sunshine, food truck for meal if desired at a marina view. Good way to spend some time!"

Lickinghole Creek is an awesome Farmhouse brewery in Goochland. It's really in the middle of nowhere and right at the end it seems like your just going down a long dirt road...but keep going, it's back there! The brewery is on a huge plot of land and has so much open space for sitting at tables, on the ground, and playing on playsets. They have a good selection on draft and even more for sell in cans and bottles. They have goses, lactose IPAs, IPAs, stouts and more! Also, they usually have one or two of each going at a time. We had the watermelon Gose, the source blueberry lactose IPA, the one lion stout base and one lion stout with coconut and vanilla. The Gose was nice and refreshing and not too tart. The IPA was very good and still had a hit of hops...not a mild lactose IPA. The one lion stouts we're each very good...very dark with hits of cocoa and coffee. If you've had OtherHalf's stouts, one lion tastes very similar...however, not quite the 12-14 ABV of OH at 7 ABV. Lickinghole Creek's location and beer selection was incredible here and we will definitely be making another trip out!

Stopped in last night for a quick pint- managed to catch their happy hour special for $5 pints until 6:00 p.m. and yes I checked that includes ALL the brews. It was a little warm to sit outside but we did grab some food from the Sate food truck outside. As the evening passed more and more people were sitting outside. It is nice this location is dog friendly and many patrons were taking advantage but that. If you're in the fence about trying this place just swing in and grab a pint - I guarantee you'll find something you like with their food selection of various brew varieties.

Well, it's time to confess...my love for the flatbread at Intermission Brewery has reached an obsession. I only want this flatbread, and no other. I can't stop thinking about the peppers and onions! Hearty strips of red bell pepper, green bell pepper, and sweet onions. On the most robust fire roasted tomato sauce I've ever had.Oh, the cheese was melted perfectly, and there was plenty of it. All on top of a crisp flatbread that was seriously just the right thickness. It paired beautifully with the chilled red blend I enjoyed with it. And my husband was thrilled with his flatbread as well. He ordered the Italian sausage variety, with a Potter's Petite Cider - chilled nicely, of course. From the moment we walked into Intermission Brewery, we were made to feel welcome by the bartender. He was also our server, and he was fast and friendly. I didn't catch his name, but he was joking with us, which we appreciated. As for parking, it was simple and straightforward. We parked right next to the entrance. There was a larger group of people at one table when we arrived. I know that Intermission holds meet-ups for groups, which is great. There was also a family with an elementary school age child. They were playing some sort of cards or board game. I thought it was wonderful that this establishment was family friendly. There's such a chill atmosphere, I think people just enjoy themselves here. My husband and I can't wait to go back! Intermission holds a "Date Night" special each and every Friday this summer. Be sure to check out their Facebook page. They keep it updated frequently with events and news.

We came in last minute on Valentine's Day without a reservation. We were seated immediately. Party of 4 ladies the full menu was available as well as Valentine's Day specials. It was out last night at the Outer Banks and our last brewery. Thank you for the hospitality.

Popped in here on a chilly Saturday afternoon... grabbed a seat at the bar.. it took a couple minutes to get a Beer/Wine menu but the place was packed! Bartender's were very busy but friendly! They offered advice and I went with a flight... I got four total different beers (all were decent in there own way) I did go up to the walk up food ordering window they had some specials for the night and a fairly decent menu with a few good options asked the lady at the window after I decided on getting the tacos should I get the marinated grilled chicken, shredded beef, or shrimp Dot she said I should get either the shredded beef or shrimp so I picked the shrimp... I wish I probably should've picked the grilled marinated chicken or the shredded beef. The shrimp were barely warm and they were sliced in half. The cabbage was mediocre. There was a little sauce on there reminiscence of maybe a ginger/fish sauce, but thank goodness for some Frank's red hot to spice it up, yes I would go again and I would not get the tacos. They also had music that evening, which is very fun to listen to met a few people from my community there and had a pint of beer to finish off the evening.

The Bold Mariner is a solid 4 stars for bbq food taste and selection options, well brewed tap beers and friendly service. A bit odd, but it seems to work for the companies and mostly as well for the customers, the brewery and the bbq are two separate companies operating under the same roof. You pay at one register for your drinks and a different register for your bbq. They have a variety of on tap beer selection, with CPO IPA and Stout are very good. The bbq had good selection of meats and side choices. Flavors for the beer and bbq were good; I really enjoyed both. The staff for the both beer and bbq were helpful and friendly. Veteran owned business so I'm happy to support them. Can round up beer bar bill to donate to a military charity. Two downsides: the seating area is open space so it gets loud. It's louder than "moderate" in my opinion. Add the DJ, who was decent, but it added to the noise level. Our table couldn't talk at all when music was playing. Music was on top of all the other tables trying to have loud conversations. I'm getting too old for this. Overall, The Bold Mariner is a recommend for the beer on tap and bbq. Come in the afternoon and be gone by 6 pm (1800 for the rest of us). Too loud for me after that!

"My husband had a pre order pick up so we stopped in and got a beer as well! They have a cool little location with two sitting areas They did have a food truck. Dog and kid friendly! We also got our dog a collar it's so cute! Definitely a good friend hangout spot! I am not a beer fan but my husband really enjoys all the flavors and has done the pre order two years in a row now. The Saturday morning box package."
"What a fun place to hang out! We had never been, but wanted to find something to do with our out-of-town guests. We started out on the patio with the fireplace, talked to some nice folks. Made our way inside for the live band, which was very entertaining. I tried a seltzer drink and others in our party had various beers, which everyone raved about. We will definitely be back!"
"This was a highlight of our long weekend at Colonial Beach. We rented a house nearby for the weekend and scoped out the area for things to do since it was a rainy and cloudy Memorial Day weekend. We showed up in the late afternoon and the place was packed. After getting our beer, which were all really good, we settled into the Annex to listen to music. I appreciate that they had entertainment but kept it at a reasonable volume so we could still carry on a conversation. We had 7 beers between 4 people and our tab was about $63. Seems high to me but I'm sure there are taxes and other fees. While it was pricey, I am happy to pay it to enjoy the entertainment and the great company of my friends."
"My phone is low battery, so I did not get any pictures But this place is super cool we stopped in while we were waiting to sit down at another restaurant They have board games to play and so many beers to try I will be back to try more soon the atmosphere was absolutely terrific and so welcoming"
"I've been a fan of The Veil since their first location. This location on Moore Street (although the address is Belleville) is even nicer.Met a colleague here last night for a work session. Ordered my lager and fried chicken and found a spot on the patio to pop open my laptop and get to work. Nice, open space with large tables and umbrellas should it be needed to shield you from the sun. Open area inside as well with sexy event space, too. My lager hit the spot. The fried chicken was fried a little too hard and past tender, but the flavor was pretty good. Parking can be tricky, especially since the implementation of those strange bike lanes. Oh, and please fix the "ramp" inside the front door. It cannot possibly be graded to code. I stutter step on it each and every time."
"This was our first stop after getting BBQ in Richmond. I got a flight and there were plenty of options to choose from, including non alcoholic options. Sit outside if the weather is nice. Decent brews, good patio, great spot to just hangout."
"What a great spot to hang out and have beers, flights, and adult slushies. I highly recommend a flight and slushy to start, As hot as it has been these days. You can get a feel for what flavors you like when you get a flight. Then you can get a pint of your FAVE. They have a great variety from sours, IPA"s to honey ales and lagers. Flavors are always changing but I am sure they will have something that fits your taste buds. My group of people all like something different and we all loved what we got. Did I mention the slushy??? YOU HAVE TO GET A N ADULT SLUSHY!!! Yum!!!Friendly staff, clean brewery, lots of great seating inside and out. The outside has big fans and it is my favorite to hang out and be comfortable. They do have a food truck. OK lets address the parking. I think they have many options of parking. You can park right on the street by the brewery. Please pay attention to no parking signs. And They have parking at MacKenzie Construction during the week after 5PM and after 1PM on the weekends. So just ask for a parking pass at the brewery. They have signs explaining the parking. It is also 5 minutes from the convention center. There is parking everywhere you just have to look. If your meeting someone and want to be ontime I suggest you show up a little early to find that perfect parking spot."
"This is a hidden gem brewery near Poquoson. A group from work came here one Friday afternoon and we were the only ones there. With it being a weekday there wasn't much going on but they did have a food truck on site which was nice. There was a lot of outdoor seating under a tent which is nice and I bet its a really great place to hang out with friends. The selection of beer was pretty good and they also had hard lemonade. I opted to order their IPA which was flavorful but still refreshing. Everyone else also seemed happy with their beer and the atmosphere overall. This would be a fun spot to watch live music!"
"Decided to try something a little different on a Friday evening, so I stopped into Three Notch'd Brewery around 8pm and thankfully, it wasn't busy at all. Since the sign at the entrance mentions 'wait to be seated', I did just that for about 5 mins but unfortunately, no one came to the front to seat me. I walked over to the bartender and asked if I could sit anywhere and she guided me to a booth. The menus are on a QR code and since the Crab Cake Sandwich really stood out, I decided to order that with sweet potato fries. The waiter came over pretty quickly and she was very nice. For drinks, I ordered the Prickly Pear Margarita and it was fantastic. I'd never had that flavor drink and it was great. The Lemon Drop cocktail was also surprisingly good. It's their own branded drink in a can and it was very refreshing. The food came out fairly quickly and overall, it tasted very good. The crab cake was flavorful and paired really nicely with the aioli. The toasted brioche bun was soft and warm but after eating half, I took the bun off to thoroughly enjoy the crab cake. The sweet potato fries were great as well. Our waiter checked on us through out the night, which I enjoyed. Overall, I really loved the vibe of this place. The staff were very friendly and the food was great. With the large dining area and the seating outside, I'm sure this restaurant will be packed once the weather warms up."
"Quality/taste: I got the Mosaic Triangles and Falcon Smash brews - both really good, fresh, and crisp. Perfect amount of head on both pours and served at the perfect temperature. I also got the HH pizza and got half cheese and half pepperoni. Both sides of the pizza were really good - a tad too much cheese for my liking, but the sauce to crust ratio was good. They did not skimp on the pepperoni either! The pepperoni was good quality and thick! The pizza crust had a nice flop to it, not soggy at all and not too crispy. Overall, the pizza and beers were a delicious combination and meal! Service: Great service!! Was greeted upon entering the door and sat immediately. Our server (Evan) was super attentive and knowledgeable about the draft menu when he came by to check on me. Gave me a little description and even offered to let me sample a few of them before making a decision! He was really quick to bring us our drinks/food upon ordering and frequently checked on us to make sure everything was good. Loved the service here!Environment: This place is so big and spacious and it's SUPER clean. From the sidewalks to the main room to the bathroom, every room was super clean and clear of trash or anything on the floors. Price: Pretty cheap IMO. $7 for a pint was the average I saw. I think the pizzas were a little on the expensive side ($14) but it also was really good so it's worth it if you're craving a pizza. We went during happy hour so it was a good deal for a pizza and a falcon smash for $15!Overall a great experience. This place is underrated! Will definitely be returning. Wish they had a bigger selection of other types of beers other than IPAs, but that's okay. Everything else was really good!"
"Pricing great. Choices were different. Aesthetic tap. Service was great. I went on a Tuesday night, which was trivia night.. Was packed, which I guess is good just not a lot of space. So go early on tuesdays and get seats!! I just wasn't happy that at 32 ounce and up was put to go. Would've loved to have a pitcher and drank there!"
"Hidden Wit is a total hidden gem! The location is right off 360 and a beautiful space! While the location is new, the brews and food feel like they've been an establishment for years! They have amazing food that's everything from shareables and apps, to high end filet mignon. There are many beers to choose from that offer a variety of tastes multiple options. Not a beer drinker? No problem! They have wine and bourbon too and are happy to make you a drink of your choice. They have yard games, multiple spaces for hanging out and beautiful dining rooms! Check this out on a nice day or during a rain storm. You'll enjoy it in any weather!"
"I came for the Vuture Vegan Food Pop up shop. Not being a beer drinker, I didn't think there would be anything for me to drink while I waited. Boy was I wrong! The Lemonade spritzer/cider/I don't know what it's called/ I just know this cocktail was the cat's meow!!"
"Laid back, nondescript spot to grab a brew in Shockoe Bottom. You can usually find a place to park on this street as it's a couple blocks from the center of the chaos."
"My recent visit to New Kent for a wine tasting experience was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I entered the rustic charm of the vineyard, I knew I was in for a treat. The knowledgeable and passionate, Dianne, guided us through a curated selection of wines that showcased the true artistry of winemaking. The whites danced delicately on my taste buds, with crisp notes of citrus and a lingering hint of floral elegance. As I moved on to the reds, I was captivated by the depth and complexity, each glass unfolding a rich tapestry of flavors - velvety tannins, ripe berries, and subtle hints of oak. What sets New Kent Vineyard apart is not just the exceptional quality of their wines but the immersive experience they provide. The ambiance, coupled with panoramic views of the vineyard, added an extra layer of enchantment to the tasting.I must commend the staff's expertise, effortlessly guiding me through the nuances of each wine and sharing insightful stories behind the craftsmanship. It's evident that every bottle is a labor of love, a testament to the dedication of New Kent's Vineyards in creating wines that transcend ordinary expectations. In conclusion, if you're seeking an exquisite wine tasting experience, make sure to visit my lady, Dianne. Cheers to an unforgettable adventure in the world of fine wines!"
"Big Ugly Brewing is such a great spot in the Great Bridge area of Chesapeake. You can always count on them for brews, food, and entertainment. Taxus Street Coffee - Tuesday through Saturday, Taxus Street Coffee rents their space during the day to serve up their caffeinated brews. During most of the year with the exception of Winter, Taxus collabs with Klassic Doughnuts every Friday so that we can get both coffee and doughnuts all at once.Food Trucks - they have a solid rotation of food trucks, at least one, but usually 2 food trucks to choose from on any given night. We've seen Bar-Q, Pelican Pete's, Krazy Trompos, Prime 757, Courtney's Kitchen, Hangry's VB, and the list goes on.Live Bands - they always have some sort of a band on weekends, not sure about the weekday, but refer to their schedule on their website. They always have something going on whether it's featuring a local group or business, Girl Scouts, or a themed event. We always enjoy going to their Trunk or Treat event every year with our kids. The only problem is that some of their events attract so many people, the parking becomes an issue with people parking all over the place. I think they've outgrown their space! I don't drink, but my husband seems to enjoy it as we go there often enough! Whenever we want to just go out for a quick bite to eat, we check the schedule at Big Ugly first! Enjoy, Friends, and never stop exploring!"
"Love the vibe here!!!! I actually came her to visit y tu mama and fell in love with the Tefnut Blueberry and Blackberry (Frozen) beer!!! First, I had no idea that beer slushies were a thing and now that I do babyyyyy this will be a regular thing for me!!! I had full intentions of trying a few beers but after tasting this, I was one and done and it was my bev of choice. Clearly, I will have to come back and try all the beers!!The interior is fabulous. Beautiful from the inside out. There is plenty of seating from outdoor, downstairs, upstairs and even a covered rooftop patio which is a vibe all in its own. Staff is super helpful, offering suggestions if you are unsure and patient to let you figure it out if you so chose. They do a good job of keeping everything clean and well maintained in all areas. Excited to return and make my way threw all the brews!!"
"Came here for lunch with my work colleagues and then again for an event, and the staff here are really friendly, helpful and really care about ensuring the customers have a great time. The food is good and lots of beer options. They have lots of seating - and cool places to chill , watch a game and great places for people to host events on the upper deck or under the covered bar area outside. There are tv screens everywhere and seating with fire pits as well as a Lot of power outlets which is a nice touch for the modern day with cellphones etc. They also do movie nights on Wednesdays which looks like a lot of fun. I'll definitely be back!"
"This place was great and the guy Mike who works there was so friendly. He really went above and beyond to help us so I wanted to mention him on here. The town itself is really quaint, and this spot really stood out to me. The vibe was really nice and they even allow dogs on the patio! We purchased two growlers (16 oz.) and a t-shirt for a little under $30. Growler fills for the smaller size are $12! Not a bad deal...Center of the Universe is also owned by the same owner of this place and from what Mike, the guy who helped us, said all the popular beers from here become a seasonal at their other location."
"I've never been to Virginia Beach, but if all restaurants are like this one, I'm moving here!! I have never had such amazing food and beer anywhere! The beer menu was extensive, and the food menu was full of delicious options. My coworker had the seafood pasta, which looked fresh and she loved. The chicken tacos were unreal - breaded chicken tenders with honey chipotle sauce, slaw, and some awesome Mexican spiced pasta salad. But honestly - and this is odd - the star of the show was the Pineapple Grenade wheat beer. It was so light, so fruity and so refreshing!! We also had the miso caramel ice cream sandwich, which was unreal!!If you're in the area, EAT HERE! (I may be back tomorrow!)"
"Groupon led me to find this gem near Richmond. We did tasting first to see which one we like the most but honestly we did not like any... it could be that they were all mixed with other flavors like raspberry, blueberry, and etc. Although the mead was not up to our likings, the charcuterie board was amazing! The presentation was just 10 out of 10. The contents were not bad either - little bit of strawberry, blueberry, grapes for fruits, various sausages and hams, and 3 different cheeses. Great experience!"
"Looooove this neighborhood brewery! Since my bf Jeff and I moved right around the corner from this place, it has become our "Cheers". Everyone is extremely friendly and it is easy to meet new people and hang out. The beers are pretty awesome and I tend to lean on the IPA end of things-I would totally recommend Hammerhead, and for more octane...Hoptopus. The beertenders are all fabulous-shout out to: Eric, Josh, Courtney and Caroline! They are more like family...and they also sell beers to go, have chips and cookies on site. Also, check their event calendar...for fun events and food trucks! They also have a great game selection...especially if you like playing card or UNO."
"When the wife says its time to go shopping, your first suggestion should be the outlets. I am happy spending my time at the L.A.B. (Little Auxiliary Brewery) Taproom. Alewerks's L.A.B. offers a majority of Alewerk's great beer plus a few small batch items made literally in house. Do you want to pack some beer? The taproom has plenty of packaged beer to give as gifts. They have some snacky items, but no kitchen. If you are like me you will see it as the oasis located in the desert of outlet shopping."
