"The service was like family. The live music was like a family reunion. The food was like being back in Jamaica and made w love. Only sad thing was they ran out of chicken! the crab stuffed salmon was buttery good, the best cabbage I've had in my life, fresh bread, and my babe said the chops almost made his eyes role into the back of his head- I aint having that! Can't wait to be back!"
"My husband and I have been coming to this friendly place since we were teenagers. The atmosphere is beautiful, makes you feel like you're dining in Italy. The food is out of this world with huge portions. It tastes so authentic & worth every penny. My husband & I usually split the tortellini & add shrimp & chicken to it."

"We walked in around 7pm on a Wednesday and added our name to a waitlist for an outdoor seat. We grabbed a drink at their back bar and enjoyed the incredible atmosphere: live music and sunset views. Our server was friendly and attentive, she made great recommendations all evening.Around :20 later our table was ready. We got straight into entrees and went with the pork chop and the special: yellowfin tuna steak. Both were excellent. The tuna accoutrements (pineapple, bacon, and soy infused rice) stole the show and were incredibly decadent. The pork chop came with a thick crusty sear that was super flavorful. The thick cut was juicy and a large enough portion that I barely ate half before passing the remainder to my husband to polish off.For dessert we had the pecan pie. More of a tart than a pie, the pecan flavor was exactly what you'd expect with a bourbon ice cream that was a great compliment. The tart (crust?) was hard and a little difficult to cut. The pork chop came with a cheese bread pudding side that was amazing in its own right.Overall we had an amazing experience with a wonderful atmosphere. The perfect place to relax and enjoy a night in Duck."
"Very good! Wednesday was busy!I dined here a few weeks ago with my husband and his co-workers. I did not expect a Wednesday night to be busy, but it was. I know the restaurant offers deals throughout the week so this may have steered the crowd here.Nevertheless, we had a waiter and a waitress that took care of us, a party of 10 and they both were great and attentive.Overall, the meal and drinks were on point as usual. The only hiccup was the butter for the bread. It seemed as though the butter came directly from the freezer or frig because I could not spread it smoothly on my complimentary roll. The waitress came to my rescue... she easily swapped a bowl of butter from another table and it was all good.We also dined up front which had plenty of space to seat our party.I love it here! I love happy hour too... great deals here, before 6pm or 7pm.Have fun and enjoy life :)"
"With an ambiance that reminds you of a wood fire grill kitchen, it holds everything you need for friend, family and solo dining. The food choices peak any interest, and the staff is always inviting and willing to help or answer any question you have. My favorite feature is the wine bar. 24 selections with a wine card. A great time for any occasion."
"Waterfront restaurant in Duck, and certainly one of the nicest restaurants in the area. Certainly decent views of the sound coast, and at times, even some wildlife. Parking can be a bit tough, but there's a small auxiliary lot directly across the street.Wine and cocktails at this place are pretty decent. Their wine list is quite good, and they have some wonderful selections available. Appetizer menu is also quite good. For us, we had the bangin' shrimp and the whipped goat cheese dip. The goat cheese was tremendous, and a huge portion to boot. The bangin' shrimp was also very good. I wouldn't say it was spicy at all, but the sauce was quite good, and the shrimp was perfectly cooked. the batter wasn't too heavy, and the result was a nice light crisp. I think it might be a rice flour batter. For dinner, we had the NY Strip and the saffron seafood pasta. The pasta was absolutely tremendous! Sometimes you get a seafood pasta with an almost fishy taste, but not this at all. The homemade pasta was delicious and the sauce fabulous. The steak was a bit of a different story. The sauce was pretty good, but despite ordering it medium, i received well done. Dinner took a bit of time and i was really hungry, so i didn't send it back, but honestly, for the price they charge, that's unacceptable. A well done steak is a travesty; tough, dry, and tasteless. I really do expect better from this place.Service at this place was quite good as well. Friendly staff throughout, and easy to work with for reserving an eight person table. The completely ruined steak not withstanding, this place was pretty great! It's expensive, but you get some pretty great food, and I have to assume they know how to make a proper steak and just had a moment. In fairness, this is more of a seafood restaurant, and i had considered the shrimp and grits, so perhaps i should've gone with that instead. Anyway, this place is certainly worth a shot."
"Very impressed! Their Cobb salad is huge and looks SO good. I saw a lady at the table in front of us order this salad and it was gigantic and loaded to the brim with ingredients. They also had some nice mocktails on the menu (appreciated by this non-drinker) and will be coming back for the salad and peach tea fizz! Yum! We stopped in on a bike ride and had a light lunch with live music over the weekend with my stepson before he moves away for grad school. Tear. We chose this spot because they almost always have live music at the center stage on the sidewalk between this and the bar across the street. As expected, on a Sunday afternoon - they did! Service was slow but friendly. It took a long time to get our food after our order was taken and our server basically didn't show up for 15 minutes after our food was delivered (by someone else) to see if we needed anything. We got a Cowboy burger which is a huge burger with BBQ sauce and cheese on Texas toast. I didn't try it but stepson said it's a win. We also got a basket of fries on the side which was huge for only $3.50 and a small cup of soup which rotates daily and was a delicious brisket stew. I got a small garden salad for $9.99 which I felt was a bit overpriced with only lettuce, onion, tomato, and crouton. They have a ton of burgers on the menu here and some inventive options. A bunch of handhelds which are sandwiches, salads, and entrees with fish. Also a ton of starters and apps. Overall, beautiful ambiance outside on the patio with live music and a view of the boardwalk and the sea and a much larger and diverse menu than I expected."
"Food, service, drinks, and atmosphere was amazing! Thanks Jeesie for your constant attention. I'm visiting from out of town, on military orders. I was loI had an amazing experience at Tipsy Beans while visiting from out of town on military orders! I was looking for a great brunch spot, and this place did not disappoint. As someone from New York with high brunch standards, I was beyond impressed. The food, service, drinks, and atmosphere were all top-notch.A special shoutout to Jeesie for providing such attentive service - you made the experience even better! The Catfish and grits was exceptional - definitely a standout dish.If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by for the Catfish. And definitely ask for Jeesie - you won't be disappointed! Thanks for the wonderful experience, Tipsy Beans!"
"We stopped in for a Sunday lunch before heading out of town. It was not very busy. My boyfriend has a lot of food allergies and we learned that the owners family is celiac which is why there was such an extensive gluten free menu. They have separate cutting boards, friers and cooking areas to make sure no cross contamination. His aunts had the fish tacos which they loved! I had the club sandwich which was excellent and my boyfriend had the gluten free club! We really enjoyed it!"
"I ate lunch here with my daughter. Parking: streetAtmosphere: bright and livelyService: awesome. We sat at the bar, and the bar manager made sure we were taking care of it. She was very knowledgeable about the alcohol and beer. We had The margarita. It was delicious!!Food: we had taquitod, tacos, and wings. Everything was good. Overall, we enjoyed the food and conversation. I am definitely going back."
"Veteran owned and operated. Woman owned and operated. These facts, plus the great reviews, made me look forward to giving this place a try, and I wasn't disappointed. It has a fun diner, nautical, military feel. Service was pleasant, quick, and attentive. My biggest issue coming here was finding something not boring on the menu that wasn't huge!I settled on the Perfect Pier Pancakes - 2 large stacked pancakes made from scratch sprinkled with powdered sugar. I made them chocolate pancakes with two eggs over hard and bacon on the side. You might be thinking that this sounds like a lot of add-ons as I wasn't looking for a huge meal. Well, outside the $1 for the chocolate chips, everything else was included with the Perfect Pier.Everything was great. I usually completely skip breakfast. When I don't, something sweet comes even more rarely. So, this was a real treat for me and the perfect place to make it happen."
"I don't know how I skipped reviewing this spot. My husband loves coming here after playing pickleball during the week for some ceviche and beers.I've been a few times and the staff are always wonderful and their food is excellent. Large portions and delicious, fresh table-side guacamole. The inside is cute with lots of murals day of the dead themed as well as a large bar area.Plenty of street parking."

This was my second time going to Cutlass this week! The first time was for lunch. I had the Stewed Chicken with Mac n cheese and cabbage. It was delicious. It was seasoned to perfection. It was the middle of the day in the summer so with the help of the Jamaican Cowboy and the music, I felt like I was at my favorite spot in Montego Bay. My second visit was Saturday night. We caught the end of happy hour so we could be there when the live music started. It turned out there was a guy playing R&B on the calypso. He is so talented. This visit I wanted to try the Red Snapper. There were about 4 different ways it could have been prepared but of course I chose stewed! It did not disappoint. I got mac n cheese and collard greens this time and ordered the charbroiled oysters for an app. What a vibe!!

Great views and a fun little bar/waiting area. Definitely recommend reservation. Food was good, but not outstanding! My husband loved the tuna special. We started with the she crab soup, which was really delicious. We also got the gnocchi, which was okay. I didn't love that it was made with cornmeal... gave it a weird texture but the taste was good.

We visited AB Steakhouse tonight for the first time ever, and I'm pleased to say, the experience was amazing! from the sitting from the Hostess, to our waitresses, Alley and Roxanne. Our service was fantastic without us having to ask for anything, the staff anticipated our every desire and the Manager, Jeff, made several visit to ensure all was satisfactory. Now the food, the steaks were prepared and grilled to perfection! my medium rare steak couldn't have been any better if even Chef Ramsey had prepared it himself! The scallops were grilled perfectly and the oysters were lightly battered with a delicious flavor! The staff keep the bread coming, even before we ordered more......one of the best house salads I've ever enjoyed. All of the delicious food and the Waldorf Astoria level service was complimented with an acoustic guitarist serenading the patrons with the soft lighted environment. All in all, this experience was light years ahead of Butcher Sons and on the same keel of Ruth Cris', and all for a fraction of their price! Bravo Zulu ABS!

Dean and his staff are always very helpful. We tried two of their pizzas with toppings we normally would not order. It's very eclectic and they were delicious. It works really well for the size and price. They are smaller than traditional pizza. The environment is pretty nice as well. They also have various wines and plenty of parking,

Party of 3 for a 5-star family dinner! If you're looking for a high season experience in the off season, Aqua is the place to find it. In addition to a full menu, they also offer live music and after spending 2 days scouring Duck for another dinner venue with live music, I can honestly say Aqua is doing something right. The locals don't settle for the cheap seats so get there first, make reservations or get there early if you want a dinner view. I'm a sucker for a good steak, but this time I think I found something better, SWEET AND SMOKEY FRENCH CUT CHICKEN BREAST. Brown sugar and smoked paprika is an excellent pairing to the white cheddar and chive glazed potato gnocchi. Having the arugula emulsion, and crème fraîche served on the side was a good choice, no need mess with a good thing. Live music, a perfectly paired dinner with family and personable staff, they are doing it right here! Cheers!!

We stopped by Lager Heads located at 3315 Atlantic Avenue to grab a bite to eat. It's hard to beat the view of the Atlantic Ocean here. It was very calm today and it looked like you could see for miles. They weren't busy so we were able to score a couple of seats at Horseshoe shaped bar, overlooking the boardwalk. The bartender was friendly and attentive. We decided to try the chicken wings with their hot sauce. When they arrived, it took my breath away, they were piping hot and the aroma was wafting out everywhere. Once they were cool enough to touch I grabbed the drumstick and took a bite. I was very pleasantly surprised by the crunch and the amazing flavor in these delicious wings. They were cooked perfectly with the inside hot and the outside crunchy and then tossed with the beautiful sauce. These were some of the best wings I have ever had, bar none, and I'm someone who knows good wings! I'm already planning my next visit here because I will be thinking about these amazing wings for quite a while.

Over a year ago, Sophia and I stopped for breakfast at a little spot located in Williamsburg. Both of us enjoyed our coffee selection along with our breakfast meal. We decided to come on back and give it another go.Walking inside, there was a nice crowd already in place, but not overwhelming at all. We immediately got seated and served right away by a waitress placing our orders. I selected an iced white raspberry chocolate latte for liquids and fried catfish Southern breakfast for my meal with scrambled eggs substituted for stone ground grits. Everything was truly delicious. The latte was mixed very well and strong enough to get the morning going. You can't complain with coffee like this, and it wasn't too sweet either. The breakfast meal had yours truly full. It has been a minute since I last had catfish, and I can tell you they cooked this one perfectly. The home fries, eggs and toast were great compliments. Sophia had the same meal and even said this was the best catfish she's ever had. No joke!Just like the last time, this visit was perfect. Great service and great food. You know we'll be back the next time we're in the area. Till next time :)

"Food was great-- easy stop off of 95. Service was great. Big biscuit-- though I can't rate it because it was under the eggs etc. The arugula was a very nice touch on the Southern Benny (pork belly Benedict). The fruit was very good even though it's the middle of winter. Tasty black coffee. Lots of fun breakfast items like strawberry shortcake pancakes and winter drinks to try."
"Somewhat tucked away on a side street in Smithfield, we missed this treasure! What a great experience with an amazing somewhat erie historical background! Seems this old building was a funeral home / crematorium. All the wood, tables, everything are from original historical buildings. As I understand the story, the kitchen area now - was the crematorium.Well, whatever they were "cookin", some deliciousness with a side of "fried green tomatos" was on the menu. We delighted in the stories as much as the food! From a super beefy burger to my amazing blackened Cesar salad, it was a welcomed treat to our hungry bellies! Our server Kylee was fantastic and super attentive! Definitely one to add to our regulars! Highly recommended!"
"Great food in a great atmosphere. Highly trained and professional waitstaff. This is a gem."
"Verrry elegant place definitely a date night smasher menu very short but everything that came out that kitchen 5/5 they water even tasted amazing lol calamari cooked with the chilis top tier and that lasagna!!!! You might smack ya grandma if she touch it if u been trynna impress ya mate this is definitely the spot will b doubling back on my 757 tour"
"Service is fantastic. The atmosphere is fun with nice decor. We were a little hesitant because we were unsure if the prices were about to be upscale when we were honestly looking to just chill and catch up; however, we were pleasantly surprised to see the menu was more of small, shared plates like tapas: hot or cold. The menu seems quite diverse; however, the food looks executed well. If you want to complain about the pricing, please realize just how close the establishment is to the beach and tourism. A tourist trap? Maybe, but at least the drinks are delicious and food is seasoned well. Typically I find fried potstickers a crime; however, we ended up ordering another round because the simple sauce and magnificent crunch made this the star of our evening. The sliders were tasty, but the pimento was more mayo-forward. The pulled pork was moist and tasted great. Call me basic but we ended up sharing a flatbread, and it was soft with plenty of cheese and fairly sauced. Upon arrival, it looked basic, but the texture and flavors made it a great pizza to share. Our cocktails were served in cool glassware with fine presentation. The flavors were enjoyable, and I don't really drink anymore. I would return here and honestly venture into the chicken vindaloo, smoky chicharrons, and seared local catch. They have outdoor seating if the weather is nice. It was a fun experience overall, so it's a great spot to chill and hang out while snacking on shared plates and sipping on a cocktail."
"Wow! What a great find... amazing food, great service, awesome people. Highly recommend! Been coming to OBX for 7 years and regret not trying this place sooner!! Jao was wonderful... we will be back!!"
"Haven't been here in well over 6 years. Ordered the Thai tuna wrap and it was tasty, could have used more tuna but hey that's a personal preference. Others at the table had the burger and the chicken sandwich and we all enjoyed our lunch. The fries were crispy and seasoned very well. The tables were a little on the sticky side so just a heavy cleaning session would take care of that."
"This is a family run restaurant that takes great pride in their food and service. It is very economical and the food is fresh and tasty. It has a relaxed atmosphere that is very friendly. A lot of locals go here."
"I was there with a professional group attending a conference. The choice of 219 Bistro was somewhat spontaneous----- decided mainly by other Yelpers and their reviews. The menu looked good. We made a quick Open Table reservation and arrived close to the same time we booked. We started with some beers at the bar until our table was ready. It was only 5-10 minutes and they had us seated and ready to order. Our server was very attentive and informative about specials and house favorites. I ordered the She Crab Bisque to start. Lots of lump crabmeat in a delicous creamy bisque. Very flavorful and satisfying. For the main course, I ordered the Shrimp Gumbo. There were 5 large shrimp surrounding the rice, andouille sausage and toasted chilis. I recommend highly. Not too spicy, but more savory and flavorful. Unfortunately no room for dessert."
"Came on the weekend just before Sunset and remembered how difficult it was to get a table as it's a first come first serve basis and you just grab a table as someone leaves. Not the best method in my opinion but most people seem to hang out by the bar. Place has a great view for the Sunset and meaty oysters, but I wouldn't suggest for a date. More-so, a casual vibe for a hangout spot."
"We stopped by for a quick lunch. The location is located downtown on a street with good parking spaces. The ambiance was welcoming and the seating was comfy. The food was just okay and the prices were moderate.I think it would be a great business meeting location or a quick get together with friends.Their staff is wonderful and attentive. We were greeted right away and oour waitress was great."
"Stopped here while in Hampton with friends. We each got fish baskets... the drinks were strong. Will return."
"Came to town planning to hit our usual seafood buffet but arrived a little late and decided to leave that for tomorrow. So we headed out about 8pm and ended up at Max's. My sister ordered veal parmigiana while I opted for the chicken parmigiana. Both were fantastic and heaping helpings. I could say the chicken was just a tad overcooked but it would be nitpicking because it truly was just a tad. Not even enough to cost them a star. If this were a ten point scale I would give them a 9.7 or 9.8. Our waitress was attentive and quick on the soda refills. Coming in so late we only had a few other customers so it was a nice quiet dinner, though I suspect at busier times it could be very active. Considering we were on the Outer Banks, the prices were pretty good, especially taking into account the huge portion sizes!"
"I've always enjoyed Montego Grill, the food never disappoints and always tastes great. Last night, we called in to place an order for two Jerk Chicken Dinners. Since my boyfriend doesn't eat pork, we inquired if pork was in the Greens and they told us that they don't put any meat in their vegetables so he ordered the Greens and Mac & Cheese with his dinner and I ordered the Candied Yams and Mac & Cheese with mine. When we arrived to pick up our food, the restaurant was very clean and had a few people dining in. Our food was ready as soon as we arrived. Their Beef Patties were on display and looked very appetizing so we ordered two of them. The cakes also looked mouthwatering so the lady suggested we try the Carrot Cake. We spent about $45 for everything which wasn't too bad.Since we wanted a light amount of jerk sauce, they provided the sauce in separate containers for us to pour on our chicken. My meal came with about two legs, a thigh and another smaller piece of chicken but my boyfriend's dinner seemed to have mostly chicken backs which included more bones than meat, he was not very happy about that. The Jerk Chicken tasted amazing though. The Jerk sauce wasn't too spicy and the chicken was juicy and flavorful. The Mac & Cheese wasn't all that great and I didn't enjoy the Candied Yams, they needed more sugar. The Greens also weren't that great and had a sweet taste to them. The Beef Patties were a 10/10 and even though the lady said they were mild, they still had a very slight level of spiciness to them. The Carrot Cake was also pretty good but it included raisins, which I hate, so I had to eat around them. When we return, we will definitely be checking our order if we decide to do "take out" to ensure the pieces of chicken are sufficient but overall, the chicken was wonderful!"
"Stopped in to eat before a show at the National at about 6:30pm and was easily able to sit at the bar.We got wine to start with and boy was it a healthy pour! Delightful!I got their special, a shrimp poboy and it was good! Also their fries were tasty! Fiancé got the burger and really enjoyed it! Would come back! This was maybe my 5th visit."
"We were looking for a new lunch spot when passing through Williamsburg. Wonderful! Dale Malkhani and the mixed grill with nasal sauce were excellent. Naan was a great accompaniment. We love gajar halwa, and it was the perfect ending. We will certainly be back."
"Cool spot for a fun night out with friends. We were there for their weekly team trivia. The drink selection is impressive; I tried two different ciders, both of which were crisp and refreshing. The food is great as well, I had the pastrami reuben, which was flavorful and perfectly prepared. The strawberry shortcake slice for dessert was a sweet finish to the meal, with just the right balance of strawberries and cream. The main drawback is the difficulty in hearing when orders are called. The place gets quite busy, making it hard to catch your name amidst the noise, and the distortion in the speaker system (which seems to be in dire need of repair). Parking can be a challenge, as the lot is quite small and fills up quickly, and street parking in this area is a whole other battle. Despite the minor inconveniences, Hank's Filling Station offers a wonderful combination of great food, drinks, and entertainment. It's definitely worth a visit, especially for hanging out with a group of friends."
"Yum! We finally tried this staple. We came in a lazy weekday evening with mild weather and sat out on the patio for a nice dinner. Our server was excellent and took very good care of us. We started with the fattoush salad and the hummus with pita chips and upgrade add cucumbers for $1. Totally worth it. The hummus was very good and cucumbers fresh and crispy. A table nearby recommended everything but we saw a salmon BLT with onion rings and chose to split that. It's a huge sandwich with bacon and a delicious aioli for dipping on the side. The bacon was stellar - the salmon not so much. A bit fishy tasting for my taste. Probably won't try that again. I saw a lot of options on the menu for handhelds, entrees and tons of small plates and appetizers. I want to try their pepper tuna next time! Inside is a bit dark for my taste but they have a large bar area and tons of seating. They were doing a murder mystery dinner while we were there so that was fun to watch. Might have to come check that out sometime. They also host Sunday drag brunch so I am gonna need to come do this with my bestie soon."
"Ate here for the first time the other evening, and would come back for the great service and for most of the food we tried as well as drinks! Drinks: Cuba Libra- A rum and coke but with lime-very good Mojito-Also delicious They have happy hours specials from 5-8 so take a look at those. Food: Started off with the appetizer of yucca fries, croquettes and empanadas. All were good and i recommend the Han croquettes and chicken empanadas. Husband loved his Cuban sandwich and the bite I had was good! He got tostones as a side and they were good. I had the pork and was not impressed! Very dry, and even the side of mojo sauce really didn't help. Would not order this! The rice and sweet plantains were delicious though. Inside the restaurant has a nice feel and comfortable seating. Large bar area. They have buzzers on the table to signal to your waiter if you need them. Also billed water is brought out for each table."
"Glad that there's decent parking! Bartender is super nice and made sure that our group was taken care of when we were there. We also had a pretty big group as well so it was great to see them balance us and the rest of their clientele. The food was decent but I definitely didn't finish it all. I recommend sharing it if you aren't into big portions or just aren't ready to eat a lot. The pool hall portion was where we were and I liked that part of it. The space was great and we didn't feel squished."
"Hands down, the best oyster Rockefeller's I've had TO DATE. I cannot speak on behalf of the other dishes, but these were cleaned perfectly. I ordered two platters and I was pleasantly surprised. We waited for a bit to get acknowledged but afterwards our server, Michelle was prompt and professional. I appreciated the covered patio with the fan but I'm lovin the heat out here. I am extremely pleased with the food here and look to return sooner rather than later"
"Local sports bar with humorous innuendo menu items. Full bar available. Tater ball app was very good (5/5 stars), elevated comfort food. Jalepeno burger was average (3/5 stars). My buddy's tuna Caesar salad was better (4/5 stars), taste and texture both. Shared parking lot, gender specific restrooms. Server was punchy and made the visit enjoyable."
