"Large store with 2 big decorative mirrors on the building's exterior, perched above their dedicated parking lot. Inside contains a wide variety of items from eclectic periods and regions. As a novice, I was honestly overwhelmed by the amount of stuff, everywhere. My co-worker and I weren't greeted but we later learned the owner, Lana, was present but under the weather without a voice. Her team was occupied with what appeared to be a regular customer. After slow walking throughout the many rooms leading into even more rooms, we didn't spot any antique compasses, the grail of that day's quest. As we headed toward the exit, an employee asked if we needed help finding anything. When we mentioned the compass, Lana, in a barely audible voice, said "I can get it." She took contact info, shook my co-worker's hand and vowed to call when secured. This likely means she has even more stock in storage; understandably, having too many (more than 2) objects of the same type tips the bargaining leverage into the buyer's favor."
"Bottom Line: One of my favorite stores in the Outer Banks and the closest thing to a treasure chest on the barrier islands.I'm a big fan of Seagreen Gallery and I've been shopping at the Nags Head location for a long time so while shopping the stores in Duck I couldn't resist dropping in. Seagreen Gallery sells salvaged items, antiques, repurposed items and hand crafted items. The decor of my home in Maryland is somewhere between traditional and transitional so I didn't initially think the eclectic Seagreen Gallery would be for me but it absolutely is! I've bought many items at Seagreen Gallery over the years but my absolute favorite is my tumbled bottleneck light strings - I am the proud owner of several. While the Duck location doesn't have the charming backyard full of domestic bunnies like the Nags Head location does, it does offer beautiful views of the Currituck Sound. I love how the windows on the rear of the store allow lots of natural light in illuminating the beautiful glass items."
"This thrift store has some good things if your willing to look through. It seems a little cluttered in there, but i like going so i can support CHKD. All my kids have went to CHKD. So i am glad they have a store and i gladly support the cause!! Its located in Fairfield Shopping Center. They have certain days where seniors and police/fire fighters and etc receive discounts. The prices are mostly reasonable, but every once in a while you'll find a price that seems to much for a thrift store. But thats life i guess. If you keep your eye out they sometimes get really nice furniture sets on occasion. I always plan to stay at least an hour to rummage through everything. I'm nosey and don't wanna miss a thing. Lol. Its a pretty decent size store. I found a new bottle of Michael Kors perfume on my visit for $10. So i was happy about that. They also have alot of books if you like to read. Along the wall is household items and you can find just about anything over there, but ya gotta look!! The lines at times can get pretty long, so don't go at peak times if your in a rush. I really like this location and will definitely keep returning! Check em out!!!"
"This place is a real hidden gem! Walked in off the street with my girlfriends and had an awesome time browsing the home and garden wares inside. Reasonable prices and some really nice decorative garden items. They have some indoor decor stuff: mercury glass and florals and planters but a lot of the stuff is outdoor planter pots and aged metal decor items. In the back there is a beautiful garden and an event space for photos or parties or weddings. We talked to the owner for a while who was very friendly and said they he had redone the event space in the back and set it up for parties and such. I saw a few things that looked great for my backyard when I'm ready to accessorize it. I'll be back!"
"This is a small shop but packed full of curious items. She has a big variety of rocks and crystals. some antiques, and wild funky cool jewelry. Like there is so much packed in I stick to one section just to look through everything. Pull open the drawers and you will into a different world with each drawer. The Name of the shop is Vintage Trixie and it is perfectly names. The owner is the sweetest person and so much fun. I would visit just to hang out with her. But I always find something to buy. You would probably spend days if you tried to look at everything. If you are looking for something specific just ask."
"Bottom Line: A well organized store packed full of antiques with friendly staff.I'm glad I finally stopped by Freedom Antiques. I had fun shopping this well organized store that features antique furniture, housewares and such. I enjoyed looking at their various oyster cans as well as Fiestaware, hob nail dishes, Coca-cola memorabilia, and various trinkets. Everything was nicely displayed. And the employees, who I assume were the owners, were very nice."
"Williamsburg has tons of antique shops! Be sure to put this one in Lightfoot on you map! It's not too big, and it's a tad tight to navigate, but the selection is awesome. If you are looking for colonial ware, crocks, pewter, quilts, brass candlesticks, etc., this spot has a huge inventory. There also quite a lot of vintage furniture as well as some more modern pieces. If collectibles are your jam, they carry egg cups, figurines, Barbies, nutcrackers, Pez, as well as glassware and china. Whenever I come to visit this historic area, this antique mall will definitely be one of my stops! Average prices, nice folks!"
"You don't need to be the "antique-y" type to enjoy browsing this store and its eclectic selection of unique items from furniture to jewelry. As I perused the roughly 1,000 square-foot store, I sub-consciously likened the experience to that of walking through Haynes or other similar home furnishings store where they accessorize a particular area of the store to make it feel like you're actually in a specific area of a furnished house. In the case of this business, some sections will flash you back to a 19th century bedroom. The owner clearly thought through the whole product presentation element. Despite having a ton of stuff, you never felt cramped nor did you have to walk gingerly through the store to avoid accidentally bumping in to things. That said, if you have small children, keep an eye on them. Two ladies run the store and both are as friendly as they come. They do estate sales as well.Come check out the store. Easy to find. Right next to the Great Bridge on North Battlefield. New treasures await!"
"Then why 2 stars. ! Super nice people and will be back. ). So excited to look at Christmas items"
"What a beautiful store! I've tried to visit a few times on a Sunday afternoon but they aren't open - literally it's been like 5x I've been in the neighborhood having dinner or something and I wanna come browse the wares in this high-end antique store only to always see they aren't open! FINALLY yesterday I was over here early enough meeting friends for lunch that I was able to sneak in for 30 minutes. There are lots of beautiful things in here --- they have some seriously well-preserved classical pieces from France and Europe from around 1900 for $300-400 like mirrored tables, reupholstered chairs, chandeliers and such... I spoke to the lady inside for a while and she was very friendly and efficient. We talked about some nice dining room chairs I liked that were from France that had been redone (only the upholstery) and were about $2450 for the set of 6. Chandeliers ranged from $1500-5000 depending on the size and there were large statement pieces as well as small things like punch bowls and cups. If you love to antique this is a great stop - with high-end items. Worth a look."
"My, what a store.Everything is so chic, and not overly tchotchke! I love the taste of whoever is purveying the goods. Quality silk flowers, and big old fashioned ribbon and bows. Their tea towels were charming - my friend paired birds and bees!I picked up a gift for a consummate hostess I know- peony table decorations. They're flat paper illustrations. The store is much larger than it looks. There's lots of rooms and each had slightly different items. If I lived here, my house would be furnished with everything Wharf Hill."
"Over the last decade or so, I've (insert any verb here) in Ghent. Except visit Le Marche! Like everyone else that has been to the Colley Ave part of Ghent, I've seen the bicycle out front oodles of times and promised myself that next time I would go inside and visit.March 19, 2015 was next time. In I went. What a treasure! Do yourself a favor and go visit this place, but do it when you have some time to kill. There is way too much to take in with just a quick glance and go visit, you have to take time to linger. Take time to talk with the incredibly helpful people that work here, they take pride in their wares and want to make sure you are fully informed about what you are looking at. To compile a list of what is here would be fruitless and rob you of half of the joy of visiting. I'm sure that with each succeeding visit I will find something new, something either overlooked on the last visit or something newly arrived. If you are in a pinch to find a unique gift for a unique occasion, you cannot go wrong at Le Marche. Tell them what you are looking for, or better yet, tell them WHY you are looking. Your tale will be rewarded with just the perfect suggestion of a gift. AND.....get the gift wrapping! I don't care if you have Martha Stewart herself locked away in the hall pantry, she can't come anywhere close to the wrapping job you will get here! The wrapping alone is almost enough reason to make this my first and last stop for any gifts I purchase from March 19, 2015 forward.5 stars and hits the Must Do list."

I was going to just give this store 4 stars but the way I was treated and serviced, earned another star.I was just roaming around looking at stuff at this store when I came across a very beautiful set of candle holders. These weren't just any regular candlestick holders, they're waterford crystals. At first I didn't have the money so I came back a few months later and just my luck, they were still there! What can I say, I have great taste in things. They were waterfords so of course they were above a C-note, 189 to be exact, 250 brand new. Ms Lana and I worked out a reasonable deal because I had to go back to my duty station in Japan soon. The end result was that I left with a beautiful set of candlestick holders for my wife and I! Thank you Antique Design Center for helping make our candlelight dinners beautiful again.

Between there two locations, we probably stopped here four or five times during our week vacation in Corolla. My girls absolutely loved this store! The ladies working the store we're always welcoming and helpful. They have a great selection of very unique items and a great value.

Lots of variety when I went however they are a touch disorganized which happens at thrift stores. It is fun hunting to see if you can find any treasures

Omg I am obsessed with this place. It is now a "must stop" when I'm in Portsmouth. I spent over 30 minutes just browsing around the store and left full of ideas for my garden. A garden that I haven't even planted yet, but am now inspired to make happen next spring! The first thing you've gotta do is check out their courtyard. It is stunning. Great place to get a new profile picture. So peaceful! Then you can browse the many different rooms. I'm not sure how many items were actual antiques, but they all had that antique vibe. They had a lot of coastal themed items naturally, but the prices were much lower than what you would find similar items for in Virginia Beach. We were greeted when we arrived and then left to do our own wandering. Masks were worn by all and if I remember correctly they even have hand sanitizer by the front door! This spot is a hidden gem in Portsmouth with so many hidden treasures waiting for you!

Such a cute and unique place! From vintage toys to tapeworms in formaldehyde. Taxidermy animals in cute dresses to gem stones. My mother in law and I bought a lot of misc items to include an old thermos an ax... A tracks all for decor. They also sell jewelry and traditional style stickers. They have their own parking area and they also have an outdoor area as well!

Hey, Yelp you need to offer half stars...... this place is a solid 3.5. Not the biggest of stores but it makes up for it with great customer service and a great selection of treasures. On your next Williamsburg tour drive a few miles out of town and check this place out.

I live in CA and I hired Sharon to do an estate sale for my mom's house in VA. When I met her, she made me feel at ease... promising that she would treat my mom's things with dignity and that the house would be completely empty after the sale. This was important because I had to give the house back to the bank. She asked if she could have the carpet cleaned and the couch, too. She said it would cost $300.00. I agreed. During the sale, there was no communication from Sharon unless I initiated it. Apparently, Sharon got ill and had her brother do the sale. She didn't ask if it was ok and I'm not even sure her brother works for her. After the sale, I found out that she hadn't been there, that the house was still full of stuff, and that they threw my moms things in piles on the floor. She never had the carpets cleaned, but kept the money. I told her to leave the keys in the lock box and to not touch anything else. Her brother took the keys home with him and came back at a later date and removed items from the house. I would NOT recommend Lady Antiquity to my worst enemy. She is very dishonest in my opinion.

"My husband and stopped in on our way to N. Carolina to take care of some business. It was a decent size shop in an old building in the quaint little town of Hertford. They had nick backs, old magazines, furniture etc. I found a pretty pitcher to water my plants in. Is this A place but I might go to even though it's out of my way? Probably not but interesting stop, And you can get some coffee next-door."
"Mermazing gift shop with breathtaking stained glass and other handcrafted pieces of artwork! As you walk in, a fragrant aroma envelopes you and relaxes your soul. Don't forget to look up, as the ceilings are filled with strikingly gorgeous pieces ! I walked in and just stopped and took it all in! I love mermaids and I spotted them everywhere! There are rooms and rooms of cards, jewelry, lamps, garden decorations, candles, soaps and more! Mazes of treasures await you and your eyes will be in for a creative treat! In the back of the store there is a pantry with kitchen gadgets, mixes, honey, linens and crafts. Further into this cove of gems you will find antiques and signage, then trek upstairs to the 1/2 price floor! Truly you can spend hours here. Get inspired and enjoy this one of a kind shop!! Beware of the elderly lady who follows you around lurking over your shoulder and listing rules whileyou shop. "No photos"... "the artist want to protect their creations" "don't touch" - I said l, it would seem like they'd want to advertise their wares so folks would come in and buy! Furthermore, who's going to come in and copy these artists? How many stained glass professionals are there around here? Well, as you can see, I'm a rule breaker! #troublemaker #takingpicsallday #ignoringyou #youbetyourglassidid #lostastar"
"Beautiful art gallery! A bit pricey, but what art gallery isn't? They have some of the coolest pieces from paintings, to figurines, to antique jewelry."
"Great hidden gem! Super nice people working there or the owner, not sure. Either way had some awesome stuff. A tad small and packed, not ideal for a stroller but it was fine :) We managed not to run into anything hahahaha"
"The pros:Very large selectionHigh quality items for what I've seenClean throughoutVery personable staffVery interesting itemsThe cons: You could get lost with all the stuffCan be pricier than what the stuff is worth in my opinion"
"The inventory will definitely be used but functional. We've sold a painting and some furniture over the years because we're space limited and decided we wanted something new. A lot of redecorating benefits this operation. Also has a variety of tools and appliances."
"This is a small little shop in downtown Norfolk right off Granby street but, as the name implies, it's full of little treasures one might find in some storage boxes in granny's attic. The rooms seems to have some level or organization but there are a ton of different goodies throughout. Small rooms dot the store filled with Tiffany-style lamps, salt and pepper shakers, hats, silver trays, and other items. In the back there are a bunch of antique glasses (think drink ware) as well as a kitchen area and then a huge section with a wall full of pyrex glassware. I found some cute little rose salt and pepper shakers for $8 and the day we were there (a Saturday at noon) there were vendors set up out front displaying items and sales throughout. If you like looking for vintage or antique goodies - this is a great spot."
"This is the place when you are coming down Shore Drive with the tall Toy Soldiers and a bunch of neat stuff sitting out front. I finally pulled in to get a closer look and what a cute little house of treasure! I was very impressed by some of their antique or antique-finished furniture and at very reasonable prices. The house is filled with unique gifts from the past and present. There is nothing junky about this store. They get new stuff in every day of the week and the owners are ready to help you find your next special piece for your home."
"Bottom Line: A store packed full of nick nacks and collectibles. The store name on the building is "Antiques, Etc." and I was quite curious about the etcetera part so I popped in here. The store is packed full of stuff so those who like a hunt will find plenty opportunity here. Mostly the store was small collectibles that were arranged by theme which I appreciate (e.g. automotive, cartoon characters, pop culture, glassware, etc.). There wasn't too much here of interest to me but I'm always glad to check out a local business."
"My mom, daughter, and I love arts and crafts, so my daughter found this place on the map. We instantly loved it. They had cute jewelry boxes, clutches, jewelry, etc. My daughter got this cute clutch that I would even wear. The owners were super nice, and we were happy to learn that they are from the DC area. Very cute shop."
"This is a huge antique mall. Each space is a different vendor, so you have no idea what you are going to see. It's such a treat to find all kinds of reasonable items. Some vendors even have pretty good sales going on. We came away with way to much nostalgia from our childhood. An excellent stop on the eastern shore!"
"Hunt and Gather has taken over the space previously occupied by a thrift/consignment shop. The feel and vibe and most of the vendors are the same but somehow it feels more elevated than before. I'm not sure what it is... but I saw some new items and shops inside that were much more high-end and selling new/newer housewares and decor that I really loved. One of the vendors inside I've seen at a few local art shows and I love her work - Blair Family Woodcraft featuring a lot of Virginia-inspired wood art as well as some take home kits where you can paint the wood and decor yourself for only $25. I found some gorgeous heirloom pieces and some art as well as some nice english china. Worth a browse if you are in the area for sure. Several available booths as well for people to take over so I suspect the inventory is always changing around."
"One of my favorites in the area! Always clean, large selection, fair prices and organized well too! It's a HUGE place. They have seasonal stuff too...Holidays, summer, winter etc.Always find something even if it's not what I was looking for!"
"Virginia Beach Antique Mall is a HUGE location! They have two floors to walk around and a music room next door if you're looking for records, guitars, speakers etc. We spent a good hour or so looking at all the different items they had. The whole second floor is mostly toys and collectibles. Everything is organized by the brand or type of toy it is. I love how they have everything set up! Makes it easy to find specific items you may be looking for.Definitely stop by and check out what they have to offer!"
"The Williamsburg Antique Mall is officially one of my favorite places and it only took one visit. I want to start this review by saying when I walked in to this business the sun was still up. I walked out and it was night time. I was in this antique mall for HOURS and didn't even realize it. The mall is well organized and all of the employees were friendly. We found something within in five minutes of entering the mall. Hours later we were still adding to our purchase pile. The antique mall is organized in rows. I was impressed with their customer service system. Each row has a call button. You hit the button when you need assistance (ex: a cabinet opened or a question) and someone will come directly to you. My wait was short each time that I hit the call button. Again, I was impressed because this place is huge. The amount of antique items was overwhelming interesting. I saw toys from my childhood, a large collection of Hallmark ornaments, paintings, books and a lamp that I immediately fell in love with (see pic). I HIGHLY recommend setting aside a few hours to visit this antique mall whenever you are in Williamsburg. You will not be disappointed."
"What an absolutely unique little haven. From the moment you arrive you know you're in for an experience, and what a journey this places takes you on. Do you have more than 20 minutes to spare? I hope so - you're going to need it!!Through each room, in every nook and cranny, there is something to see. I came here to pick up an order from The Yellow Cookie Jar but got side tracked with how unique this place is and how wonderful it is to celebrate local artists and businesses all under one roof - shop small at it's best. Whoever assisted me today was an absolute darling, she was super nice and not pushy at all, I like being able to relax and look around without someone breathing down my throat.Whilst I couldn't stay long, what I did see was enough to make me need to come back 100%. Original pieces, arts and crafts galore, a store which has something for every one. I'll definitely return to check this place out thoroughly."
"Family stopped in to see what they had. They had some unique items in the store. Purchased some scarfs for my daughter. Nice man works here."
"Cape Charles is such a cute town! A great family friendly beach with cute shops to check out. I just happen to stumble across this store when I was there last week. What an awesome store. They have so many unique items. Books, drinking goods, kitchen items, cards, gifts, puzzles and so many other unique goodies. It was just a little bit of everything. I really was in love with it all. It's the perfect spot to go and put together a goodie basket as a gift. Pricing was a little bit for some items, but I am sure you could find something within your price point. The bright exterior with the fenced in area was so sweet. The exterior had so much curb appeal. Service was great. She was nice, attentive and had a smile the whole time. I could not tell, but, I feel like they just opened or they are opening after maybe a down season. I'm not sure. But, either way it was great and it made the list of stores to check out when I am in the area."
"Cutest store!!! Handmade local artists with fun signs. Nautical gifts. Furniture. Love the boutique clothes in the back. Both new and consignment items. Friendly staff who were very helpful. Would love to comehere to furnish a beach or river house."
"Great prices and loads of treasures will be found at Vintage Vibe! Susie, who was minding the store, welcomed us no was helpful throughout our visit. She said, "Just holler if you need anything!" Made us feel right at home, so down to earth and pleasant! This antique mall has 22 vendors and the various booths are easy to navigate, are well organized and display well! There's a lot of eye catching pieces, from Fiestaware, to Pyrex, and ruby glass to other glassware and kitchen items. You'll also discover rooms filled to the brim with nostalgic toys and games, dolls and figurine collectibles. One vendor stocks Longaberger, baskets and pottery galore. You'll also find linens, vintage tools, funky crafts, retro clothing, antique jewelry, home goods, artwork, antique furniture, cool lamps, and more! I left with a bag full of cool stuff, some character glasses from the 80's, a bejeweled anchor, some cute metal shelves, a silver sugar bowl with shells, driftwood & an airplane inside, a few books, a mini Barbie, and some garden signs. There was a fabulous gypsy beaded lamp I have my eye on! I just may come back for that piece! This won't be my last trip to this eclectic shop!!"
"Marketplace Antiques is located in the White Marsh Shopping Center, offering items ranging from old boats, lamps, furniture, glass/dishware, toys, home decor, figurines, and more! The place isn't too messy or chaotic, and there are little inlets to go in and out of with enough space. There didn't seem to be any grouping of similar items, but it was more of randomly-placed pieces. The display cases that are locked held more of the vintage figurines/statues/toys, located more towards the front.Unfortunately, I didn't find anything in particular, but this is a store that is fun to stop by to spend some time in - you may walk out with a treasure! There are also bargain items/sections with discounts.Staff were friendly and welcoming, and they allow you to peruse at your own leisure.Plenty of parking in the shared plaza lot.+friendly staff+plenty of parking in plaza lot+located in the White Marsh Shopping Center"
"Great discovery on Granby Street. Tom greets all with a smile and always has time to chat. We try to visit every time we are in town...and we always leave with some bargain finds."
