C & J Country Meats

My wife and I had read the online reviews and as we prefer freshly butchered meats, decided to shop there on our monthly meat shopping trip. We normally visit Layden's in Belvedere, NC. And we still enjoy that shop as well. At C&J we purchased spicy and plain pork sausage links, pork chops, 2 custom cut steaks. We are very happy with their products. I very much liked the link sausages, for breakfast and dinner recipes.The owner was very pleasant and attentive. She gave us some history of the shop while we were there.The shop is very clean, well kept and organized. They pay close attention to these details there and we like that. It is 'out in the country' off the main highway. But for us, it was well worth the trip. You'll find them on Facebook, along with their operating hours.

I LOVE pork sausage and this is the best you'll find anywhere! They make their sausage fresh every week. You can get it in hot or mild flavors to suit your taste. I know several people personally who drive hundreds of miles to purchase this sausage in bulk to take home and freeze to eat at a later date. I can't believe this little store is still such a well kept secret. You won't regret stopping in to get some for yourself and your family will thank you for it!
