What a great coffee shop! Good atmosphere when you walk in. Everyone was so friendly. Prices were very reasonable. Coffee was so good! I got the drip coffee with sugar free syrup and heavy cream. I usually add Splenda, but didn't need any. We were offered a refill, which was a nice surprise. Will definitely go back! Hidden gem!

Cute and charming coffee shop that brings the Bridgerton vibes! Found this gem from fellow yelpers and so glad I tried it out. I had the "lady violet latte" which was a lavender vanilla latte. It was really good and not too sweet. My friend tried the seasonal "sweater weather" which was a pumpkin spice latte. The staff was super friendly with explaining all the drinks and seasonal specials. We both got everything bagels with cream cheese which was nothing out of the ordinary but still very good. Will definitely be back!

This coffee house is a nice addition to Port Warwick. It where Canvas Coffee used to be. The staff is helpful, and answered all of my questions. They have tables and free wifi if you need to work while sipping some Java or tea. They have a variety of pastries, including some gluten-free goodies. They also have various items for sale.

The food looks great, bagel is good! Their coffee offerings are tasty, but the seasonal is the best. I love they offer whiskey cold brew and some fun flavors for the season! The service is speedy and professional, it's the vibe that wins it. Free close parking, cozy mix of modern and classic which meshes oddly well and makes you feel classy and cozy all in one. I'd love to come here and just post up with papers to write or work to do!

I adored this charming coffee shop with my Yelp Bestie. We met up for a coworking day and she suggested we visit Busy Nothings Coffee Company. There was a lot of parking available out front and nearby. This Jane Austen themed cafe is cozy and cute. They had strong wifi and great seating options. It's a great space for a work meeting or to catch up with a friend. The people who work here are super kind too.I ordered the Lady Violet latte and chocolate chip waffle with mocha butter. I first have to note that the mocha butter is EVERYTHING. It really complimented the waffle well. I'm a huge sucker for liege waffles so I enjoyed their chocolate one. As for my latte, I was beyond happy with my order. I love a lavender latte and this was so good. After having a bite of my friend's chocolate overboard truffle I knew I had to take a box of Nancy's Chocolate Co. truffles home with me. I got more of the chocolate overboard (must try if you like dark chocolate) as well as the turtle, red velvet, and cookies and cream flavor. The chocolate overboard is the best. If you're looking for an aesthetically pleasing cafe with good food and drink in Newport News, this is the stop for you.

Busy Nothings took over the old Canvas Coffee space. I believe the owners of Canvas Coffee decided to focus on roasting so they sold their retail space and the owner of Busy Nothings Coffee Company took over. If you have been in Canvas Coffee's space before, it was a more contemporary vibe and the space featured various paintings of Virginia artist Dathane Kane. He has a very particular style called "Seeing Spaces". Busy Nothings has definitely kept the precious artwork and has incorporated their identity and personality to it (think British/Jane Eyre-esque). I couldn't imagine anyone getting rid of those pieces.- Parking -Street parking or a small lot across the street.- Noms & Sips - Busy Nothings continues to serve Canvas Coffee drinks, as well as selling their bags of coffee. They also kept some of their offerings like the Hedgehog latte (hazelnut and mocha). They have a small food menu that includes bagels, muffins, cakes from Pownd Cakes by Jen in Norfolk and handmade chocolates by Nancy's Candy Co.What I had:Hedgehog latte - yummy latte and whoever is doing the coffee art back there, BRAVO. Refer to my pics.Chocolate gluten free pound cake - Made by Pownd Cakes by Jen, I am a fan of this local business out of Norfolk. I must admit, the difference was very minor, but my palate having had experience to her products in the past, would have probably preferred the regular non gluten free version.Chocolate Overboard truffle - made by Nancy's Chocolate Co., this morsel is actually quite large for a chocolate, made so perfectly and so rich, I could only take a bite and have wrapped it up and saving it for later to take another bite. So delicious!- TLC - There were two baristas at the time of my visit and both very pleasant and wonderful. Even though the coffee shop is order and pay format, they brought my coffee and goodies to my table.Overall, love the charming addition of their personality to the space and the quality of the drinks have maintained with new ownership.They also have wifi and books to read if you need some new material (they are classics however). Located in Port Warwick, this is a cozy coffee shop worth a stop with new owners and a new name at an established location. Parking is always an issue, but once inside the atmosphere is warm and not overly fussy. Coffee is good along with baked goods and other snacks. Wish I could stop by more often .

Terrible service! They were extremely rude to us and took forever to give us our order of just basic coffee. Coffee also tasted like it was instant coffee from food lion. Do not go here.

Love to check out places to get my caffeine fix and spend some time working away from home. This place has both!I was a bit surprised to see it full on a Friday at 10am. The sound and environment was reasonable for working from home for sure and they offer various table sizes and arm chair setups.I enjoyed breakfast - a bagel and an iced hedgehog. Both we're great. They have various milk options for those who look for that. Next time I will try their waffles.
