Completely disappointed and I'll start with the bad before the good. I drove here from Chesapeake. It wasn't an short drive. I was excited to pick blueberries and peaches together at the same location and same time. I was greeted by a couple that let me know where to pick the berries and to grab a bucket and I would fill the bucket and bring it back up for weight and payment. My family and I went up and down a few rows picking the berries. We were aware it was late in the season and most berries were picked and the pickings would be limited. We discussed what we coyld make with all our berries. Pancakes, muffins and coffee cake. We could even through some in our smoothies. We were satisfied with what we did pick and headed to the front. We discussed we wanted some peaches too and were told we needed to get in the car and drive to the back area for those. We could leave our blueberries with them and would pay for everything together. We drove to the back area picked a few of those and headed back. When I asked about the berries a look of confusion ran across this couples face. They had lost, misplaced, sold or gave away the berries I picked. The funny thing is I had took a picture of the berries being weighed so I even knew how much they weighed and the price it was to be prior to the peach picking. Neither of the two knew what happened. They assumed someone before me had taken them. However they were not even sure of that. They sold me the peaches at a discount but that didn't erase the whole overall experience. This was a family experience, a family memory and it's a sad funny memory now. Remember the day we picked blueberries and then lost them. Yep, sure do. I will not be going back here for berry picking because the drive and to leave empty handed of 1/2 of what I wanted was/is not worth it.

A very welcome PYO farm in the Williamsburg area. We're local, so there was no massive drive to this destination. You'll be greeted by two ultra nice proprietors who'll give you direction on where to pick and how to purchase. You'll never see so many hummingbirds at their feeders in your life! The trees and bushes are easy to walk around and there are picnic tables and a wall near the ocean to eat a lunch on. They washed my blueberries for us while we picked peaches. A very nice touch. Kids were very happy with the experience, so we'll be back without question.

Didn't realize that Bush Neck farm was in our "back yard" in Williamsburg. What a terrific location for pick-your-own. We missed the blueberries this summer but our first trip netted us some great peaches - the owner is so very friendly and his black labs just loved to play.

Well worth the drive. We relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed this charming country location on the Chickahominy River. Blueberries are the sweetest we've experienced and the peaches are a globe of juicy gold sunshine in our hands. We munched peaches while deciding which ones to pick. Such a joy to drink in the unhurried, uncommercialized atmosphere and let the dragonflies dance under my wide-brim hat (bring water, hat, sunscreen). Returning from the fun ... the owners gently weighed our peaches, and set them aside with my name on the bag, so that we could take buckets over to the blueberry rows. Looks like blueberries will be around a bit longer. Every morning the owners record the "days pickings" on their answering machine, so we always know what is available. BTW they also provide a port-a-pot!! And to round out the entertainment, there are two beautiful labradors ready for a game of catch (if it's not too hot).
