Buffalo City Distillery

My husband and I just attended the Bulls N Bbq event. I don't want to be this person but I feel like I have to be.My husband was standing in the line when they started taking the guy who cut in front of us. My husband spoke up and said we were next. When he asked for a diet pepsi we were told "nope, we're out." They had an entire case sitting on TOP of the table. When my husband asked her about the ones on the table she said "you can go to the food trucks." I was absolutely appalled. I don't like making bad reviews but I almost feel like I need to say something. We will definitely keep this interaction in mind and NOT take our business here. I hope others find this review helpful.Thanks to the two ladies at the event.

Stopped by for trivia night. Cocktail Kelly made sure we had a great time. The cocktails that they work up behind the bar are pretty amazing. I tend to tell the bartender what I like or don't like like, and then make some minor tweaks so that every drink turns out delicious. I've been to a few events here, and it's always a good time. The staff has gone above and beyond to make sure everybody is having a great time, for moving tables, telling us where to put decorations, and just generally being overall helpful. The amount of food that they have is limited, as it's all either , grabbing stuff, or packaged foods. But they allow you to bring your own food in, and this seems to work out really well.The vibe inside is definitely an industrial feel. Outside on the back patio there's plenty of places to sit, and the establishment is kid as well as dog friendly. They've got picnic tables, chairs, and couches for you to sit on.

Service was top notch! As soon as we walked in the door, we could feel that welcome vibe. There's a small bar and inside several tables as well as lots of outdoor seating. Menus are already on the tables and we browsed the tempting flight menu. We started with a flight split of whiskey and vodka. The peach and blood orange vodkas were tasty. There was no nasty after taste. Hubby enjoyed the almond whiskey and the East Lake Whiskey. We moved on to full cocktails made with some of the flavored liquors. I highly recommend the Blood Orange Smash. You can taste the fresh rosemary sprig. It was a refreshing cocktail. Although they don't serve, they do stock locally made snacks. Try the pimento jalapeño cheese spread locally made in Manteo. It was so good! They also hosts food trucks and Steamers was there that day. The Steamers team was so friendly and their food is delicious as always. We took home some of their liquors so hopefully we can duplicate those yummy cocktails.

We had wanted to check out the new distillery for months. We finally had a chance to come by. Located just 1.5 miles off the bridge, it was a quick jaunt from our Kitty Hawk home.Staff was super friendly. They gave us some great suggestions. We started with a flight that included 4 tastings for $12. We had whiskey and vodka tasting. All were easy to sip. We decided to order cocktails and whiskey. They also offer some snacks most locally sourced. We had the delicious pimento cheese made by a family in Manteo. The day we came we had a chance to eat Steamers food truck meals. It was very good. The distillery is a nice spot to enjoy cocktails and drink some good whiskey. We came away with a couple of bottles.

Gorgeous new distillery in OBX. Right outside of kitty Hawk an easy little drive! Warm industrial vibe. The vodka is incredible and the whisky is super easy sipping.

Thank you Kelly!!! Six of us came in last night to hear the band and for cocktails!! The music was excellent and drinks and service great!! Will be back next week with more of us!!

Pretty cool little joint that distills their own whiskey and vodka. They had one bartender making drinks but it wasn't too busy. My drink wasn't very strong but I'm no bartender and don't know what it's supposed to taste like.

Bonnie helped us and we had such a great experience. She was so knowledgeable, helpful, and good company while we tried to figure out what we wanted. Highly recommend trying the blood orange vodka!

Good spot to stop and chill. We arrived and there was entertainment which added a nice twist. Drinks are creative. Food options require improvement. Service was pleasant.

Best whiskey going. Vodka and gin great too. The bartenders are very helpful and know what they are doing. Very welcoming and friendly setting. Stop in for a drink coming or going from the beach.
