PROCEED WITH CAUTION!Once you pay and shades are installed you could be ignored. We purchased 10k worth of 18 shades with 14 of them being motorized and we are disappointed with the lack of customer service. One of the shades stopped working so I replaced the battery and it still was not working. I called Kirk and Lynn on a Friday, Kirk answered and told me either him or Lynn would call me next week to set up an appointment. Ok, fine. Next week came and by Wednesday I hadn't heard anything. I called and left a voicemail - no return call. Thursday, call again and leave a voicemail - no return call.Friday, I was upset and called 12 times and texted Kirk. I admit, I called incessantly and that was uncalled for. I felt ignored and as a human being I was upset and gave into my disappointment.I then called Budget Blinds in Chesapeake to see what I could do. Magically, Lynn calls me. She says while it wasn't an excuse they had a death in the family. Then tells me she is going to email me instructions of what I can do (Kirk could have easily provided this to me the previous Friday when he answered the phone). I follow the instructions and it's still not working. Monday I call and leave a voicemail. Lynn calls me within a couple hours and We set up a service appointment at 10am on Wednesday. Wednesday 10:20am comes around and Kirk is not at my house nor have I received a courtesy call telling me he will be late. So, I call and leave a voicemail to inquire if he is coming, why haven't I received a call, did they cancel because of the impending snow...? 11am Kirk knocks on my door, an hour late without any communication. He is upset I called the Chesapeake office, telling me we had a 10am appointment, berating me about calling them and asking is it normal to call 27 (12) times, that he isn't going to service the window, telling me good luck on getting the window fixed as he owns the company (no he owns the Elizabeth city franchise) and I have no recourse. He then calls the Chesapeake office to tell the rep there to not do anything and that him and Lynn will take care of my window shade and will be in touch with me. Needless to say, they haven't gotten in touch with me, they are refusing to honor the warranty that we paid in full in cash for.Video evidence shows his arrogant and embarrassing behavior.

I found this "company" on a Google search for motorized blinds and drapes. We have a brand-new built home at the beach needed all windows treated with motorized blinds and drapes, we are thinking a $25-30,000 job. We made an appointment with Kirk's wife for Thursday at 3 PM explaining to her that we had to leave the island to go for a doctor's appointment but that we should be back by 3 PM and she said, "No worries. If you find you're going to be late just email us and let us know." At 2:25 PM we emailed to let them know we would be 10 minutes late as our doctor's appointment ran longer than expected. At 2:55 PMKirk called us and said, "we have a 3 o'clock appointment, where are you?" We explained that as we told his wife, we were on our way back from a doctor's appointment which ran considerably longer than expected and as his wife had advised us, we had emailed letting him know that we would be 10 minutes late. He huffed and puffed and hung up, apparently not having read his email. We arrived home at 3:11 PM and no budget blinds. A card was stuck in our door. At 3:44 PM Kirk returns to our home and rings the bell. I answered the door. He does not say a word, doesn't say hello, doesn't identify himself, nothing. Feeling quite uncomfortable with him, I asked if he was Kirk, and he said yes. Witnessing a bad attitude, I asked him if he was having a bad day. His response: "Well, I've been riding around all afternoon losing money with you." I responded, "Well, I can make that better for you or worse for you." He stopped in his tracks, turned around, headed for the exit, and said sarcastically, "Have a nice day." Really? All because we were going to be 10 minutes late and ended up being 11 minutes late? When we had originally told them that we might be late and that was OK during our phone call with his wife. But apparently not with Kirk. My question is how the hell does he stay in business?? Rude. Bad business.

We worke3d with these folks on several occassions. They are great. Our latest project was a beach house in the Outer Banks. Contacted them by email - they went out and measured the next day and beat the price provided by Coastal accents by over $1500.This was all done without ever having to meet face to face and we just arrived at our house and they are beautiful! My husband said the house appears cleaner than before we were last here!!!!!10 STARS for Kirk and Lynn at Budget Blinds
