Bucketheads Beach Grill

I made two visits to Bucketheads recently. First visit was in stage 3 of reopening, and honestly I was horrified by the number of drunk young people crowding into the space without masks, but I was completely starving, it was late, and everyone else locally that I wanted to go to seemed to be closed at 8P, so I said "eff it". At least the servers were wearing masks? We ordered wings and the burger special, and both were amazing...then we got the hell out of dodge.Second visit was about a week or two later, after Gov Northam had mandated the in-house sale of alcohol was to end at 10P and restaurants to close at 12a. We had just returned from the Eastern Shore at about 10:30P, and once again we were starving. Expecting more of the same tomfoolery, we walked into Bucketheads and found a completely different situ...ghost town. Drunk young people crowding into our personal spaces were nowhere to be found. We sat at a bar high top, ordered our hot wings (which were super good yet again), drank our ice waters like the understanding, compliant customers we were (even through we could've used a nice cold one after a day of driving), and went on our happy way.Takeaways: they seem to have gotten their act together in the time of COVID, and damn, their food is good. There is plenty of outdoor seating available if that helps make you more comfortable dining out right now. Highly recommend their hot wings along with the plethora of innovative sauces!

I came today to support the food truck prior to the restaurant opening. The sign was lit and the window was open. However no one was there. I waited around 10 minutes and walked around looking for anyone and nothing. It was hot as hell out and not happy. Went back to my car with AC and gave a few more minutes. Still nothing and left. I debated on whether to write and decided to. All they had to do was turn the light off. Others were coming and going with no one to service. The food truck has been operating a few months and I've seen business. The restaurant will be reopening next month after a fire closed them down more than a year ago. It's taken them much longer than necessary in my opinion to come back after hiring gypsy labor. They have had reported issues for months with city permits. On a side note a gypsy workers truck caught fire in the parking lot yesterday. Hopefully I can update after the reopening, but I'm not rushing.

hate to leave a bad-ish review during rona but it wasn't that great. Food took forever and there was 3 other people there. My bloody mary bucket wasn't that big for $10!!! My kid said she liked her kid burger but it was 2 tiny sliders. Wing sauce was good but they were under cooked.

I've been to the restaurant once and the food was decent during that time. I've tried ordering them on Uber eats a few times and the food was absolutely disgusting. The fish soft tacos had this green toothpaste tasting goo on it, iceberg lettuce instead of shredded lettuce, and shredded cheddar and no mango salsa. So the food I received didn't match the description at all. The mashed potatoes tasted like they microwaved it for 15 secs. And they never include silverware. I don't know if it's because I ordered close to closing time or what the deal is. Disgusting, going to get my money back in the morning when they open.

This place flat out sucked. Food was overdone and chewy. Took over 30 minutes to make chicken strips that were like freaking rubber, a quesadilla for my kids and some crappy overpriced side of fries. The service sucked and our waitress seemed like an airhead with her head in the clouds. Never checked on us, even though we were the only folks in here shortly after opening.Being in the Navy, I've been in some crappy places, but this place takes home first place in every sense of the word disgusting.Do not go here flat out!

We come to bucketheads a lot for open mic comedy on Tuesday's so you should come out & catch a show! If you're not really into the mood to hear wanna be comics there's another side of the bar where you can escape Happy hour runs till 9 & I always love the wings, they are really good! Today I tried the mango buffalo which is a must try also the tangy bbq is a crowd favorite! they have specials most days like .50 wings on Wednesday's. Come in & check them out!

Holy sh*t! This place serves some of the best food in town! Has a very homey feel with delicious food that seems like it's cooked from scratch (IS IT?!). As if that were not enough, you can get a MASSIVE drink in a mini BUCKET for around $7! Seriously, this is the biggest drink you will EVER get at a bar...FOR ABOUT $7! DAMNNNNN!

Food was marginal, cola had a funny taste. The bartender/server was attentive but seemed to spend more time chatting with the few people at the end of the bar.

Got kicked out for literally no reason. I was chilling with a buddy of mine when one of the bartenders started getting aggressive with me for no reason. She later got me kicked out and I never even had talked to her at all that night so I'm still confused on what I got kicked out for. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone..
