This review is for the pool only. The club participates in Virginia Beach Swim League in the Summer and is home to the Barracudas. Broad Bay is mainly known for it's beautiful golf course, but the pool with recent enhancements is just what they needed. BB does offer tennis too.Broad Bay Country Club is located off of Great Neck Rd. across from Cox H.S. It can get confusing finding the pool from the main entrance which is Stonehaven. Turn onto Lords Landing from Great Neck (may need to pull a u-turn if approaching from the North) and make a right at the wooden BB sign and drive up the hill. Parking is just past the pool and pretty plentiful even on swim meet days. The pool is six lanes 25 meters and is rectangular with no bump outs for diving etc . Deck space is limited. A wooden arbor area on the road side allows for limited seating and has a baby pool. Depth at the shallow end is approximately 3.5 ft and deep end 7 ft.A new large area opposite the road had a new slab put in to level a previous space off. It now boast a large canopy over the entire space and is used for events as well as seating for swim meets. It nicely done with hanging chandeliers and fire pit.. Also a new wooden structure was recently built outside the pool to post results and put up fliers of all sorts for the club. The pool sets on beautiful real estate right off the golf course. I have always found the grounds surrounding the pool to be well maintained. If you are a member of the club this is really a great space for a family to enjoy. I am not a member of this club, but from my four years of helping around this pool I would recommend checking them out for membership.

I cannot comment on the golf course and services attached to that, but I can comment on the delicious food I had here while attending a wedding. The food was top notch without feeling like "wedding food". Carved beef tenderloin, chicken, pork bbq and salad bar was delicious. The most amazing dish was the shrimp and grits! They were just right the amount of creamy and grits were done perfectly and had huge shrimp inside. People kept going back for more! I'd recommend their catering for any event.

This is a great place for the kids with the pool, tennis and junior golf league. The dining room is a nice oasis too.

I'm a member here and I love it. The golf course is in great shape with a great layout that is fun and challenging. Also a perk of being a member is unlimited balls at the range. Food is also great sat/sun they do a tailgate theme for lunch that is chicken wings and nachos bar with pork and beef. The restaurant is also great! Staff is very friendly and so are the other members! When I joined everyone was very welcoming and friendly.

This review is for my daughters wedding that was held here in the tent outside. There are too many issues to list in this review but here are a few of the more alarming ones:They were understaffed for the size of the event and the staff they had on hand were not prepared and were rude and unprofessional. We worked for a year with the wedding planner to make sure that the event went well with no issues. We were very disappointed with the end result. The planner was very flustered on the day of the wedding and seemed to not have control over his staff. The event was to start at 4pm and they were still setting up tables at 3pm. Despite having a detailed seating chart provided, they managed to get the entire reception backwards with the head table in the back instead of up front next to the wedding party's table. The serving stations for the food were set up backwards and food was cold. The cocktail hour was to start at 4:30pm but unknown to us, they opened the bar up for everyone at 2:30pm after my wife asked to get drinks for the wedding party when getting ready. They never consulted us about opening up early. During the reception, the staff were tossing fresh drinks out. This was witnessed and confirmed by several guests from both sides of the family. The staff were observed arguing amongst themselves. Entire trays of full glasses of champagne were just tossed out as guests were on the dance floor. This was confirmed by the wedding planner as standard practice. His reasoning was that there was a need to keep tables clear during the night. Bottom line, the event was far from satisfactory. Had it not been for our DJ, the whole thing would have been a disaster. I would give zero stars if I could. Would not recommend this venue to anyone. Have already been asked and advised them to go elsewhere.
