Best bottle shop I've visited in many visits to Virginia, great selection great service. Bring plenty of money you'll need it as they have the best of the best.

Bottleworks is a boutique shop for beer and wine operating along the same lines as Corks & Kegs and De Fles Winkel. It's a great place for folks who live in the Bon Air area and it's not far from major highways, either. It's about a 20-minute drive from downtown Richmond.I stopped in before Yelp Supper Club -- held at an eatery in the same shopping center -- last night to see if they had any cool sours on hand. At this point in my beer-drinking life I know I need to have my Untappd app out when making purchases because I've tried so many varieties. They didn't seem annoyed that I was analyzing each bottle before making any decisions. In fact, both guys working were super friendly, not invasive of my space, and offered great recommendations. I purchased a six-pack of a local raspberry sour to share, as well as a bottle from American Solera. Looking forward to both!Their selection is curated well and they also offer growler fills. I'll definitely return if I'm in the area.

My husband and I stopped at Bottleworks while we were driving down to the beach because I read about it online. This place did not disappoint and has a very wide selection of local and regional beers both as single cans and four-packs.While it is not located off a main highway, it's worth the detour if you are just passing through Richmond. The staff was really helpful in guiding me to unique options and they have selections for all different tastes.There are some big names here, but I appreciated the sheer amount of craft breweries from Virginia and North Carolina that they stock.One of the better bottle shops I have been to in Virginia.

Great selection of craft beer- with local six packs and singles as well as a rotating tap of beers for growlers, crowlers etc. We went here while getting take out in the same shopping center and the person there was very helpful and patient with us as we tried out beers and picked up a couple. Definitely a must stop if in the area

My new favorite bottle shop and it's close to my house! Great selection of beer and wine, friendly staff, and very helpful! I know a lot about beer, but nearly nothing about wine. About 2 weeks ago was my wife's birthday and I wanted to get her some wine. I went into the store and gave as much detail on my wife's wine preference as I knew, which wasn't a lot. I told the gentleman that I wanted to get 12 bottles and he selected some reds, rosés, and a couple whites based on those examples I gave. He worked within my price range and made no attempt to oversell or push things I didn't need. All in all, It was an awesome experience, my wife was elated with her gift and so far, all the wines he chose have been winners with her! I even left with a six pack of one of my favorite beers I haven't been able to find easily. I'll be back here for sure!

Hello! I was practically doing cartwheels when i found this place and the incredibly informed owner/manager. So I will admit that I'm one of those "issue" people (dietary problems and trust me I wish I didn't have them). However, I USED to be the only girl at cocktail parties drinking beer while other folks drank wine b/c hey, I went to UF and, well, SEC girl here... we drink brewskis. Anyhow... when belly maladies hit (sorry for the long tale but it's relevant), then my ability to have a cold one while watching the big game sadly evaporated. And sorry, but Gen X girl here - no White Claw for me. hehe!!Then... somewhere in my reading I read...there is such a thing as GLUTEN FREE BEER!!! Oh wow - I'm back. Can someone please bring me nachos?? And then... Bottleworks. Not only do they carry GF beer, they carry three types. Insofar as beer in general, there are so many (since most reading this won't give a flip about GF...) let me tell you, this place has hundreds, I dare say a thousand different types of beer from all over the world and local too. Plus the nice gentleman owner knows so much about what he has in stock. Just ask him a question - he's a trove of knowledge.

We had been here once before and had a good experience so we were in the area and stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. Upon walking in we were greeted. They have a huge variety of beers. You can make your own 6-pack or choose from their impressive selection of beers in cans and bottles. I like New England IPAs and they were very helpful in pointing out the big variety they had and where they were from and some stories behind some of the breweries. I went in thinking I would get a 6 pack and came out with 4 4 packs of cans. The customer service was really good. You can also try many of the beers that are available for sale and get your growler filled. Highly recommend, wish this place was closer to where I live.

Amazing beer and wine selection + the staff is excellent. Friendly, super knowledgeable and they always remember what I like and make great recommendations. The local beers are very well represented and they curate from so many excellent east coast breweries too. Music is great too and they have 15 or so taps with fresh beer that also refreshes regularly. This place is the best! Thanks guys!

Bottleworks offers a huge selection of beers you can't find anywhere else in town. The staff is super knowledgeable and make great recommendations on things you should try if you like X. Reward yourself and stop in for a growler or 4 pack next time you're in the area.
