Their portions are truly generous for single scoops! The praline pecan was creamy and sweet with caramel ribbons. Hubby enjoyed the strawberry. Outdoor seating only - Plenty of tables and seating. Parking lot is spacious too.

Fast, friendly, and clean! Very large indoor seating area with air conditioning. They also have a few family games and a retail section. The store sells "Hershey Ice cream" which isn't my favorite, but most places in OBX carry this brand. I tried one scoop of key lime pie ice cream and it was nearly the size of two.

Great Ice Cream, I recommend the Orange Blossom ice Cream and is very clean. The workers are very nice and took 2 minutes for 9 people to get their ice cream! I highly recommend!

Bottom Line: A new, bigger Booty Treats location at MP 15.5 serving ice cream, shaved ice and other cold sweet treats.The beloved Booty Treats has closed their old Kill Devil Hills location and now they have two locations in Nags Head. This new location, called "Big Booty" is located in Nags Head in the chalet-looking building on the beach road at MP 15.5. Formally this was Scammell's Corner Ice Cream and prior to that it was The Chalet Gift Shop.Booty Treats offers all sorts of cold desserts like Hershey's brand ice cream, shaved ice and little pieces of ice cream called mini melts (like Dippin' Dots). I personally enjoy the hand dipped Hershey's ice cream the best and if I am feeling very indulgent then I get it smooshed between two cookies to make it a cookie sandwich. But I must say that is a whole lotta sweet for one person. For a lighter option and to branch out I most recently tried "The Booty Freeze" which is shaved ice with some mini melts in it. I did banana flavored ice with chocolate cookie dough mini melts and I frankly wasn't a fan. The contrasting textures were too weird for me and I quietly sat there and coveted my husband milkshake. But, I would come back and just try their Hawaiian Shave Ice again without the mini melts. The Big Booty location has a fairly sizeable selectin of merchandise - hats, t-shirts and such. They also have some arcade games. There are a few tables inside but most of the seating is outside in the form of picnic table and benches. There is seating in the side yard and out back. There is also plenty of parking out back with just a few spots along the beach road. I appreciate that they have napkin dispensers outside attached to the side of the building. Smart. Service was friendly.

Great ice cream flavor options! There were so many to choose from, it wasn't an easy choice. This place was really busy and appears it's family run. Staff works really hard and they were very friendly. The line was really long but worth the wait. I ended up getting the cappuccino crunch and I really liked the toffee bits throughout. Recommend stopping here for a sweet treat during your beach vacation!

Stopped in for some ice cream while on vacation in Nags Head. I ordered a delicious Double Scoop of banana pudding and graham cracker ice cream. They also have a little souvenir shop attached. I live near a popular homemade ice cream shop so my standards are pretty high. I was very pleased with the delicious flavors and of course picked up a "Got Booty" shirt which came with a free sticker.

AMAZING!!!! Would give this place 10 stars if I could! I never write reviews but was blown away by an outstanding experience! They have a diverse array of flavors, and each is as delicious as they sound. The texture is creamy and the flavor is unparalleled, very well-balanced without being overwhelming. Additionally, the service is impeccable! The place was packed, yet the line moved quickly and waited only minutes after placing our order.Hands down BEST ice cream in OBX

The ice cream is delicious and the staff was friendly and helpful. I will be coming back for sure! I had the Salty Caramel Truffle waffle cone and it was soooo good! Check out the picture of my cone!

A quintessential beach experience. Lots of great flavors of frozen treats. I really liked my raspberry and superman sorbets! My boyfriend loved his peanut butter ice-cream. The interior is fun and bright. They have picnic tables outside. They sell fun apparel and have a few arcade games. The only downside is that the spoons are really weak so it's hard to scoop the thick ice-cream. I will definitely return and recommend this shop to anyone who has a craving for a frozen treat!
