This place is good for date night or even for big group (girls night out) definitely goo for a stress free moment! LolThey can accommodate a max of 26 people!. Went investigating this for possible couple's night activity. This Norfolk store is closed, noting it has been sold to new owners. The website listing by zip code doesn't link to the local studio however, you can pick the Norfolk location from the full list of US locations sorted by state.The calendar of events states the new owners anticipate opening in November. But, there are no anticipatory events "penciled in" on the calendar.Will give a fairer review when/if they reopen.

4.5 stars rounding up to five. Review based on one workshop and two take-home kits.Their workshops are full of energy and easy to follow. My mom and I did the Pick Your Project workshop where you can choose from hundreds of wooden creations from decorative signs (holidays, hobbies, etc), crates, trays, and much more. The normal price is $68 which includes your choice of beer or wine. Other workshops include making your own welcome mat, "family fun", succulent/flower box, and all kinds of private events.We signed up online where we selected our pieces (I chose a tray) and added the appropriate stencil words/monogram letters. When we arrived, our spaces at the table were labeled with our names and distanced from other groups as best as possible. We started out with the essentials like aprons and tools for distressing, then got to choose our stains and paint colors throughout the guided workshop. There was festive music, a delicious selection of wine and beer, and the two owners plus one other staff member to help. I ended up purchasing a glass piece to cover my tray for $20, which Scott meticulously fitted for me until it was perfect.I never felt lost or confused during the workshop, always able to flag down someone to help if I needed a little assistance with stencils or extra paint. The staff were all enjoyable to be around, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they do. It was the perfect way to destress and spend some quality time with my mom! Where there is room for improvement is with their take-home kits. I purchased two online as Christmas gifts for friends. I posted a photo of how they were advertised on the website. When I went to pick them up, I quickly realized they did not contain the same materials as presented online. Namely, the kits were missing instruction cards and a gift bag/tissue paper. I also posted a picture of what the kits contained.It was a bit awkward to carry out all of the materials without a bag keeping each together. I bought my own sawtooth picture hangers so my friends wouldn't have to get their own, since the wooden sign did not include a mechanism for hanging. I wished there were instructions to provide with the gifts as was shown online, which really would have made these feel like "DIY kits." However, I was grateful that they paid attention to my online note mentioning how I was shipping one of the kits as a gift; they provided a small paint kit with multiple colors instead of the souffle cups they normally give, so it was easier and neater to pack.The owners of Board & Brush are wonderful people and I want to support their business as much as possible! Give them a try for your next special occasion or "me day".

A bunch of us came here for the Galentines workshop. We were actually about 45 minutes late but they were very accommodating. Our party was of nine and the boards we all chose were a pretty good size. The owners Melinda and Scott were awesome. The came around and helped us through each step until everyone completely finished their board. We even were given wine during the workshop. Delish too! Each of us were also given a mini board with a special This place is awesome and I recommend anyone one of any age group to come here! They have over 400 designs and can accommodate up to 26 people at a time. I can't wait to bring my daughter and husband here. I had so much fun; I just know they will too!

Awesome experience! It's great for a group or just by yourself. Tons of options to choose from and they help you to personalize. You choose your project online and pay for it online. When you show up, they had everything ready to go. You get two drinks Included with the price. They help you each step of the way. You can also purchase bonus boards for $20 each with pre printed templates or extra drinks for $5 each. Such a fun evening!!

Had our annual office ugly sweater party at B&B and it was so great. The staff was helpful but not intrusive. We all got to make our own beautiful creations with our own flare. We were a group of 9 brought our lunch in and enjoyed a couple of adult beverages while creating our masterpieces (clearly making us more creative).

We reserved as a group looking for a great night. The place was hidden but safe. We were the only ones there so it was very cozy and nice. I was impressed about how organized and thorough they were. The instructions was clear and easy. Thank God they were patient with us. We're a big group and having these lots of friends generate much noise coz we're very comfortable with each other. There were 3 of them and they were quick to assist us. The stencils made for us are perfect. With the clear instruction and frequent assistance, we were amazed of what each of us made. We came not knowing a thing in staining, distressing and painting and we came out thinking we're now experts. The experience is life changing. The best are the bonus that the owners Scott and wife Melinda offers. Great tasting wine and free yum boards and special cake. Thanks again for a great experience and an artwork worth displaying front and center.

Very fun place! Don't need too many skills to walk away with a really nice project. And they have so much to choose from! I definitely want to go back and do another project.

This place is so much fun! It's in a cute little shop on 21st street. I've never made anything like it before, so I was a little nervous on how well it was going to turn out. It definitely exceeded my expectations! The owners are EXTREMELY friendly and they have fun with you! I'd so do it again! Highly recommend!

Love love loveeeeeeee this place came here with the husband for a date night and we made the cutest boards for the house. $65 for each board, these would cost almost $200 to order from anywhere else
