One night in Manteo and went to Yelp for a place to eat and Blue Water Grill and Raw Bar was our choice. Again, Yelp did not let us down.We had a reservation but even on a Friday night in January we could have walked right in. Hostess was friendly and sat us right away. Our waitress (Rachel) was right there with our drink orders and they arrived quickly. We both wanted the tuna but didn't like the preparation that was the special so we asked if it could be served as the "fish of the day" and they accommodated. Our tuna came to the table and was cooked perfectly (rare). Preparation included wilted spinach, roasted potatoes and a truffle cream sauce. It was YUMMY. We did not have desert.Give Blue Water Grill and Raw Bar a try!

Great StopAfter a long day exploring the Outer Banks, we made a final stop at the Blue Water Grill & Raw Bar in Manteo before heading back to our hotel in Greenville. This place is amazing! It's located right along the docks, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a relaxing lunch and drink. We started off with a refreshing Yuengling Beer and a Blue Water Mule, which really hit the spot after a warm day. For lunch, we couldn't resist trying the Blue Water Oysters Rockefeller. They were absolutely incredible, with a mouthwatering blend of cheese, bacon, and panko topping. We also shared a Carolina Bison Burger and NC Soft Shell Crab from the specials menu, and both dishes were outstanding. The service was great, and the ambience had a wonderful island feel. Downstairs, there's an outside Tiki bar and eating area right by the docks. If you prefer, you can take the elevator up to the second floor where the main restaurant is located. They have interior seating and a room with fantastic views of the docks. We had a fantastic time watching the fishermen bring in their catch of the day while enjoying our drinks and food. We would definitely stop here again without hesitation. Oh, and don't forget to check out the gift shop filled with souvenirs!Cheers

What an absolutely wonderful place to stop in for an evening enjoyment after playing tourist all day! We had the most enjoyable service by Dylan, who gave us several suggestions that we opted for, including Oysters Rockefeller, two dozen raw oysters, of which he suggested six different kinds for comparison and the second dozen was three of those six! Absolutely wonderful service and my wife enjoyed her drink from a wonderfully heavy-handed bartender! Traveled all the way across country from Southern California & enjoyed it more than many of the overpriced seafood restaurants on the West Coast! HIGHLY RECOMMEND to all!

So the food was amazeballs, the service was good. First time we had cold food, but it tasted good! Had the fried green tomato caprese and it was so good. Wife had the fish tacos with red potatoes n green beans, she liked it and it tasted good, but each item was stone cold..?I had the grand slam, scallops and fried rock shrimp and fried flounder...side was mashed potatoes. Tasted delish, mashed potatoes were cold and cole slaw was awesome.

This place was great! We made a reservation and we were seated quickly. Food took a little. I ordered the strawberry salad as an app, which tasted fresh and delicious. Very minimal and had great dressing. For the entree, I got a bison burger. What's not to like? It was so filling we didn't get any dessert. Would love to come back here next year. It was right on the water and very pretty!

Stopped here for dinner after a long drive into OBX. We sat ourselves at the bar and it didn't take long for the bartender to greet us. We ordered a half pound of steamed shrimp to start and I have to say, I'm a little disappointed. The shrimp was definitely overcooked and hard to peel out of the shell. The flavor was there but the cook was off. However, the Mahi tacos more than made up for it. I got the blackened Mahi tacos, it came with a slaw and pickled radish. The tacos were beautifully balanced. Blackened of course has a little heat but the slaw and radish helped to balance it. Boyfriend got the fish and chips which were made of Mahi. I can't say I was happy with them but he was. The batter was on the squishy side and I expect a crunch when it comes to fish and chips. The dipping Sauce that came with it was on point though! It was definitely touch and go for our first visit but nothing that wouldn't keep me from coming back.

My husband and I were in the area and saw the reviews for this place, and the reviews were spot on! This place is terrific. We got the tuna tartare to start, and it was SO GOOD. They have a bit of a unique flare to the dish with Cole slaw, and it was delicious. Highly recommend! My husband had the flounder, and it was a nice portion with light breading. Yum! My red drum fish was light and delicious with a Thai flare that was terrific. Just all around an awesome dinner! A word of advice: Make a reservation. A lot of restaurants in this area cater to tourists and get super busy in the afternoons/evenings. Plan ahead to try the best food!

Good meal, marina-side, friendly and quick service. Lots of indoor seating in December/off-season.

We've been here twice. Both times offered excellent food, service, & ambiance. The best fried oysters I've ever had. Sat at the bar the first time, my husband spilled his drink. The bartender (young, slim, dark blonde long hair) was too kind about it. Second time, took our granddaughters. Same experience with different staff. Highly recommend!

We frequent Blue Water often. The fresh oysters are typically very good. The beer is cold Many food options - all good. But the views of the marina are the best (especially if you enjoy boats)
