This is not a fancy place and is not meant to be, but it has everything you need and is well priced. The rooms have kitchens and are very very spacious. You have the perfect location, are close to all the bars, restaurants, and attractions. Beach is a block away. The owner/manager was super nice, let us have a ground level unit when I asked. They also let us have a late check out, and leave our car so we could eat. I will be staying here again. Thanks!!!#Room 105, 9/5/16

Stayed Four days in this motel , I had issues from day one, stayed on the second level I could smell the marijuana or drugs from the ground level almost every day from the room below . my second night there a couple in the room next door got into a domestic dispute. Had to call the police twice 10 PM and 2 AM. The rooms are not clean. Was having issues with the electronic locks on the door to get into the room and every time I left, I put my personal belongings inside my car I was afraid somebody could get into the room and steal my stuff. Complained to the front desk and they pretty much just shrugged it off. I was not there for a vacation. I was actually taking a course for my job. I'm from out of the area and a firefighter. This is not a Place you want to bring your family especially children . stay there at your own risk. This is a honest review .

The Hotel Manager was diligent in everything requested . The clerk sent someone immediately to the room to fix the TV. There is not cable but WiFi was available as per request. The shower pressure from the bathroom was not working. The manager explained that the pool was not available due to Licensing and COVID-19. Towels for the beach were to be picked up @front desk. Coffe and flavored water were available at all times @reservation office. The TV has HBO and guest are able to watch decent movies when they return to their rooms from the beach.

IF I COULD RATE NEGATIVE STARS I WOULD!!!!!!!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!! Terrible staff, so rude, said the pool would be open in a bit and never was. Literally such a dirty room, black mold, used incense stick in the wall, sand all over the floor, sticky counters, stab holes in the computer chair, smoke alarm was hanging off the wall with plastic over it, toilet took 3 flushes no matter what. One of the cleaning staff kept getting way too close to ask if we needed anything he was entirely creepy! Accused us of having a guest and pestered us to check out BEFORE check out time! Like they have the audacity?! OH and then at checkout they told us that their pool license has been expired since MARCH even thought we saw people in the pool yesterday. Literally the worst experience ever. Just a bunch of gross men running the place! We talked to the ppl next door and they agreed it sucked too and all their plumbing was clogged and they still gave them that room!!! DO NOT STAY HERE IT IS NOT WORTH IT!!!!

Can I give them 0 stars?This my second time staying at the Blue Marlin, once last year around the same time. For price and convience to the work event I was attending it seemed worth it. Massive mistake rebooking at this facility as the facility is claimed as clean, it is not. Sandy floors, dirty showers, questionable bedding amoungst other poorly maintained ameninties. All this being said at around $100 per night this is to be expected in a beach town at a lower end motel and isn't actually the deal breaker.The deal breaker, did I mention DO NOT BOOK HERE!The management is aggressive with customers, slum lord mentality. My business collegue who I shared a room with and I were questioned every time we walked on property (in the parking lot) as to what we were doing there and what room we were in. Several times we were yelled at by management that he would keep our money and throw us out of our room if we caused trouble. We are both unassuming mid 30's business professionals, not on spring break. We are both quiet and respectful as we travel frequently for work and prefer to keep a low profile. Never in my life have I been treated with such disrespect and paid for such an experience. Everytime I would return to the property the manager would question me about my automobile and why I was parking there. He had issued me a parking pass for the dashboard which was being displayed the entire duration of the stay. I understand the property is in close proximity to the beach and that they probably have an issue with non-guests parking there. That being said it is unacceptable to harass guests who have paid to park as it is included with the room.Also, one of the nights after returning to the property I was greeted by a homeless man who had set up shop next to the front office, you would think this wouldn't be a problem with managements gripped mentality. The man was aggressive and began yelling at me and commenting how I had a nice automobile. He was obviously inebriated so I quietly took the side stairs to avoid confrontation. I was concerned my car was going to be broken into so I stayed awake for an additional hour checking out the window to see my car was ok. Conveniently another guest called the police and they showed up an hour later and arrested him. I wish I could make this stuff up. The next evening another guest had double parked behind my car, as well as 2 other cars. I approached the manager calmly asking him to resolve the situation. He walked outside, looked around and said he didn't know what to do. I mentioned I had to be at a work event and still nothing. I had to walk up to a guest room that was open and ask if it there was their car. Fortunately it was and they were kind. Only through my own action was the situation resolved.I mentioned this situation to the management the next morning and they never apologized or acknowledged my concerns, saying, "everything is fine, everything is fine."There's more:2 old friends decided to join us in our room at 2pm in the afternoon to catch up and quietly talk. Upon walking up to the property the manager quickly came out of the office and aggressively approached us (in the parking lot) and threatened to kick us out of our room for having guests or charge us for the additional people. They were not staying in the room and stricly visiting for less than an hour. The guests in the room next to us or below us were smokers (non-smoking rooms) and had been smoking in their room and it was leaking through the vents. Our room smelled of cigarettes as well as other varieties of smoke. This was mentioned to the manager and he said the rooms were non-smoking and proceeded to disregard our issue with inaction. No surprises at this point from this caliber of motel and management.I felt uncomfortable everytime we entered the property and most times took the side stair well that was more inconvient to access our room as to avoid the manager and his toxic and aggressivse demenenor at all times. The management here is looking for a reason to throw guests out and make money as fast and as easy as possible. It's incredibly stressful and uncomfortable to stay here. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!

1. RUDE STAFF, they were not clear that it was one car per room. Yes I understand they are protecting themselves from beach goers but they need to be more clear.2. SKETCHY. every time I walked outside they were huddling at my car. Made me nervous. I could be paranoid but still. 3. By no means is this a fancy hotel but blankets were thin and small and beds were very uncomfortable. We could hear everything above us.

If i could give this place 0 STARS I WOULD the worst costumer service. He's so mean and just makes up his own rules. Refuses service to everyone. I work at the restaurant in the same parking lot and i see people come and go all the time without staying bc im assuming he refuses service or people hate him. He told my mom not to come back for no reason and refuses to let me stay another night after i put a hotel in my name and paid for 3 nights bc I'm 19. You didn't mind the 3 other nights till you had an attitude?? My friends uncle also stayed here and he charged him for 2 rooms when he only got one and he didn't get his money back till a month later!! TERRIBLE SERVICE DISGUSTING ROOMS AND ALL AROUND A BAD STAY. I HOPE THIS TRASH MOTEL GOES OUT OF BUSINESS.

You get what you pay for. For the cheapest room i couldn't connect to the wifi (too far away), I couldn't adjust the volume on my TV (broken remote and no volume buttons), the front door was broken, you can only open it by jiggling the handle and making an educated wish. My room wasn't wiped down when i got there (it had food and drink stains on the tables). The bed squeaks and is uncomfortable, and this is just a nit pick but the blanket did not keep me warm at night.

The worst customer service the manager was very rude. Would not give us a room even though we had all the credentials and booked the room already through booking.com and would not give us a refund just for no reason. Very discriminatory. The manager threatened to call the cops on us just because we were trying to get a room. A room that was already booked through booking.com and confirmed and she still denied giving us a room even though we had already paid for it.Do not go to this motel. Very disrespectful manager.
