Blue Cow Ice Cream

This has to be the most popular spot in the Shore Drive corridor in the evening after dinner. Lines of people stretch out along the sidewalk waiting their turn for the scrumptious goodies inside. The location is in the Cape Henry Plaza shopping center located on the southeast corner of Shore Drive & Great Neck Roads. Parking is plentiful.The interior has only a few tables. So at busy times it's choose your flavor & go. But that doesn't have any effect on the popularity of the spot at night, especially during tourist season. Daytime is an easier time to get inside. But who can resist an after dinner treat when dining at one of the nearby restaurants.My favorite flavor is Blueberry Goat Cheese. Yes Virginia, it is a great combination. My friend's favorite is Birthday Cake, which has actual cake interspersed.If you're in the Shore Drive or Great Neck corridor it's a "Must Try".

I stood at the counter for a long time staring at the attendee. She was so patient as I could not determine which flavor I was feeling (too many good options) . Great icecream, service and a cute shop.

First time here and wish I went back more often! Only got to try the seasalt Brinkle but loveddd it!! So yummy. Everyone was so nice and accommodating as I wanted to sample some flavors.Came on a busy evening and I can see why! The flavors were all so unique yet yummy. Wish I had more time down here next time to try more!

Admittedly, I'm an ice cream nut... and when I eat it has to be restricted because I love it and would eat just it always.. Well, Blue Cow's ice cream was fantastic! This place was extremely busy, but turned customers over really quickly. You may not get a seat inside, but you could always grab the vibe and head to the beach over at First Landing and watch the waves, and maybe a sunset. (Mine didn't make it that long.....) I got a heaping helping of banana pudding and goat cheese blueberry, and it was awesome! The waffle cone was devine! It was close to the cabins we were staying in, and just so good I would go back anytime I was in the area! Enjoy!!

The staff seemed grumpy and they didn't put any ice cream inside the cone. The ice cream is really good though just make sure you tell them to put it inside and not just on top so they don't get you like they got me.

Great spot. Lots of choices including old favorites, house specialties, gluten free, and non-dairy. I like malts, and they make a great hand scooped, hand spun malt. My faves are the sea salt brickle and the double fold vanilla. The service is friendly and they're liberal with the tasters. Highly recommend!

Had a sweet tooth and this was the first place that popped up! Love the flavors they offered, especially their banana pudding - very rich and it taste just like banana pudding. You're also allowed to get samples so do go nuts! We visited on a Monday night and the line was out the door! We quickly got to the front so the wait wasn't too long. The ladies who were working that night were super nice and very patient. Highly recommend!

I'm obsessed, this has become my favorite ice cream shop! The sea salt brickle with caramel swirl in a fresh waffle cone is *chef's kiss* you will not be disappointed!! I drive 45 minutes for it.

Love the flavors they offer! Their fresh waffle cone is amazing, definitely get it! This time, we tried sea salt brickle and cookies and cream and they were fantasic. The service is great, super sweet people and willing to give free samples! The place is peaceful and clean. Highly recommend for you to try them out!

Love the vibe of this ice cream shop. It's so modern, bright and beachy. They have lots of unique flavors as well as the original flavors too. The ice cream is very good and definitely worth making a trip too! We came after dinner to grab dessert and there was a line out the door so it can get crowded. It's worth the little wait time though! Be sure to check them out!!
