Blue Cow Ice Cream

Came here for desert after dinner. They had a variety of ice creams to choose from. I ended up getting a mini scoop ($5)of the chocolate raspberry. It was chocolatey with a raspberry jam flavor. Quite good! Staff was friendly and let me sample a few flavors before selecting my actual scoop. I would come back again!Food: 7.5Staff/service: 7.5Value: 6.5Overall: 7.2/10

We are frequently in the neighborhood of Blue Cow and we decided to give it a shot. We ordered Cookie Dough and Strawberry Balsamic. The Strawberry Balsamic had strong hints of coconut which was off putting. Cooke Dough had a strong peanut aftertaste. Since this was our cheat ice creams, the ice creams didn't live up to our expectation. However, the staff are incredibly helpful and kind.

We enjoyed the fresh delicious ice cream on a warm summer day. Tough to choose our flavors because they all sounded delicious. The restaurant is clean. We found it a little confusing to know which side is the beginning. They seemed happy to provide samples and the service was good. We had the cookie dough, mint chocolate chip, sea salt brickle and chocolate. The ice cream was made locally and so good. I will definitely be back for the sea salt brickle!!!

Wow! What a treat. I had a delightful experience at Blue Cow Ice Cream. My best friend and I went in for the first time last night.***LOCATION***This is located in a strip mall in the Short Pump area. There is a lot of parking out front in the lot. Happy I was in the area to check it out.***EXPERIENCE***The woman who helped us was very kind and patient. She let us try a few flavors and was so sweet when we had trouble deciding. Cookies & Cream was the winner of the night for me, and even though this ice cream shop is far from where I live, I would drive back for this flavor alone. Something in the vanilla was just so amazing. It was a simple flavor done right.***PRICE***I got the mini cup and with my tip the total came to be just a little over $4.***CONCLUSION***I've been to a few ice cream spots in Short Pump and have to say this is my favorite one. I can't wait to come back to devour more delicious ice cream!

I have been here a few times now to try to get a fair review of the experience. The service has varied, some of the staff are very friendly and some did not greet patrons as we came up. I have had several different flavors and they have just come up flat for me. The texture of their ice cream is great, but I have felt like the primary taste is just a plain ice cream base, the flavors haven't really come through for me.

Went to blue cow for the first time and had a nice experience! Tried a couple flavors and ended up going with an all time favorite - birthday cake! Staff were friendly and the shop itself was bright, cheery, and lovely! Thanks for the perfect sweet treat!

Loved this ice cream shop! Located next to Mellow Mushroom perfect stop for something sweet after pizza!It's spacious with seating inside and outside. Nicely decorated and clean!Lots of different ice cream options! Beside one and two scoop options there's ice cream flight that gives you 4 different flavors for 14$ and for two people it's perfect if can't decide what to get! We picked peanut butter fudge ripple, sea salt brickle with caramel swirl, double vanilla and ironclad coffee chip! All were delicious and very creamy especially vanilla!

Excited to see a new ice cream option in Short Pump and it's a solid option. The indoor is cute and colorful. We walked in to the scent of fresh waffle cones, which smells amazing! The staff was friendly and we sampled a few items, but didn't end up choosing those.I opted for a cone of banana pudding ice cream. I enjoyed it, with pieces of vanilla wafers. I haven't had that flavor in ice cream before. My girls didn't like it, but they don't like banana pudding either.One of my girls got cookies and cream and the other dark chocolate with raspberry swirls. I thought they were both decent. Prices were reasonable and I like the option of a mini, which was plenty big. Here's the problem. It's just not as good or as cute as Gelati Celesti, which sets the bar and is right down the street.

An awesome addition to Greengate! This was my first time having Blue Cow and I loved it. They had at least 5 flavors I wanted to try, whereas I normally am only intrigued by 2-3 at other places. There's definitely something for everyone. They also have a 4-flavor flight option. The staff was very friendly and allowed us to try any flavors we wanted. There is indoor and outdoor seating and the entire place is super clean. Prices are on par with other ice cream shops though the portions here might be slightly bigger.

Superb ice cream flavors, very unique! Every flavor we tried was sooo tasty! The staff were very helpful and polite. Overall a wonderful experience! Did I mention the ice cream was top notch?!?
