We made a reservation at this particular hotel based on a rave review of the Bistro from my SIL, who'd eaten there 2 years ago when Chef Randy was there. Unfortunately, Chef Randy is no longer there and it's gone way downhill. Thankfully we were given an insider tip at check-in so we found a WAY better place for dinner. We showed up at 8:30 a.m. for the breakfast (hint: it's hidden behind a wall past the bar which we didn't notice until we'd been waiting for a server for 10 minutes). It's a typical hotel breakfast...eggs, potatoes, make-your-own waffles, etc. They were out of sausage and bacon so the hostess let the cook know, and by the time we left 30 minutes later they still hadn't put it out.I got my coffee and couldn't find cream anywhere. I had to ask the hostess and she pointed me to the front of the restaurant/lobby, but then half-heartedly went into the back to get some for the actual restaurant area. The eggs were good. The waffles were good (as those malted waffles at hotels always are). Everything else was very typical hotel breakfast. Bottom line: I would absolutely not eat there if it's not included in your hotel charge.

There's a lot of potential for this little bar. It's in the Holiday Inn. They have only a few beers on tap and a very limited wine selection. My husband and I shared a burger and fries came out hot and no complaints. I was told they're working on having happy hour. I think it could be a nice little neighborhood gathering place if they offered some drinks and appetizers for happy hour.

I was at a work event that was catered for our training in the attached Holiday Inn. It was not a good experience. The first day was an odd meat roll with items stuffed inside. Noone in the class was happy with meal. It was inedible for me and I walked across the street and ate at 7-11....Day two was supposed to be roast beef with mac and cheese and some various other salad items. The beef was so touch you could not cut it with the knife they gave you. I even tried to eat it by ripping it with my teeth. No luck. 7-11 again.Third day was some italian options. They had noodles of a couple of different types and red sauce or alfredo. The alfredo was tasteless and lumpy. All this while letting them know my serious allergy to onions. Every day, they misinformed me of what was onion free. This was a rough week for my allergy. People really need to take it serious when people have allergy! The mac and cheese was okay. The bread was also good.

We went back for more meals to try more dishes. Chef Randy and staff were on point! I would highly recommend Bistro 515.

Not a hidden gem. Unreliable service and poor range of offerings. We went two nights in a row, and one night was fine, but the next night it stunk. The person "managing" the bistro could not make a mixed drink (I'm not a bartender!"), and none of the entrees listed online were available from the kitchen. No specials were available, until the manager went back into the kitchen to make sure, whereupon he returned and advised that two specials were available. Just no effort to serve. No thank you.

At first we were skeptical but our worries were for naught. The breakfast buffet was good and had everything you would want. I especially liked the mini quiche that was recommended to me by one of the employees. That's where this place really shines. Everybody who works at this restaurant is really nice. They are quick with a cheerful word.

What a hidden gem, stayed at The Holiday Inn as I brought my daughter down to W&M. I was in my way out to grab some Chinese. Thank goodness Dave the manager stopped me to tell me about Bistro 515....the seared bone in Pork Chop wirh roasted garlic Northern Bean purée...WOW. And the grilled Romain césar hit the spot. Can't wait for the banana French toast in the morning. Next time I'm down visiting my daughter it's the Eye for sure. Bravo chef, and thanks Dave

My experience at the bistro 515 was probably my worst experience at an resturant. The lady cook was very loud and rude and the Male supervisor i think his name was curtis or something like that he was no help with the female server. The female waitress she was very nice and had great customer service her name was amy if i was to ever come back to this resturant it would because of her. On my first morning there the male cook made great food. My third day they had a buffet and the food was disgusting and i got food poisoning I went to the doctor and got a doctors note. I am thinking about suing. Majority of the head people of the bistro were very unprofessional. I was there from july 17 to july 20 2018

Let's just start by saying if you live in Williamsburg and enjoy quality food, head here. If you don't live in Williamsburg and find yourself in our area, head here. What a serious surprise! Chef Randy and team knock it out! From Samantha and her excellent service to Randy's culinary skills, Bistro 515 is a serious contender for top food in Williamsburg. Went last night for Valentine's dinner a day early. The surf and turf were...perfect. Filet was expertly grilled and the lobster tail was delicious. My wife had the scallops, also perfectly cooked: risotto is one of the harder dishes to perfect, but Chef Randy nails it. Bistro 515 is definitely on the rise. Go enjoy what we did! You won't be disappointed.
