Small selection of ice cream, expensive, and the staff seemed annoyed the kids were looking at all the flavors. They did think the ice cream was good.

Took the grandkids in for ice cream while on vacation. Ice cream was good/ average. Service was excellent. As with all ice cream places at the shore, prices were high. Most likely will just go to the grocery store and get ice cream next time.

This is a good place to go if you want expensive mediocre ice cream and dusty stale chocolates. $8 for 2 scoops in a cup is crazy. Calling it "Homemade" is a joke. There are better places in KDH to get ice cream. Too be fair none of it is any better then what you can buy for half the price at the grocery store.

Crowded place, but it makes sense since it was absolutely delicious.Make sure to check-in here for a discount right now (10%, I believe!).I had a scoop of chocolate with wet nuts and fudge and it was just heaven. The walnuts were not diced pieces as they often are, but large chunks. Mmm!Someone in my party had cherry vanilla in a waffle cone and both she and my dog liked it a lot.Service was adequate. Friendly enough, and fast enough, but it does take awhile from the door to the register most days...but it's worth every second.

The service was kind and efficient. We had 8 orders on an order, and we were able to go inside and order quickly. The prices are comparable to most other ice cream places in OBX, but this is homemade. I personally had a scoop of chocolate marshmallow and a scoop of cake batter on a waffle cone. It was very yummy. My boyfriend got a frozen sea salted double espresso caramel drink, and it was very good also. I would recommend coming here, and enjoying the surrounding antique shops, and I would enjoy this shop again.

I had the coffee caramel cookie ice cream, which was good and my boyfriend had a banana split, which he also enjoyed. I definitely think everything was overpriced and there was no place inside or outside to sit. Parking was minimal and service was mediocre. It was okay, but nothing special here.

The line here is outrageous. It doesn't move and mosquitoes will eat you alive. There were 2 groups ahead of me and we waited 30 minutes. Inside, there were only 3 people working, and one of them was maybe 14 years old. The ice cream was really good, but would definitely not wait here ever again.

Looking for some delicious ice cream...this is the spot. Looking for great customer service...just keep driving. Their hours in Google Maps showed they closed at 5pm today and we arrived at 4pm with a van load of kids (9 total). We were ready to treat the whole family to some local homemade ice cream. My wife and I entered first to check out their menu. She ordered a latte and then we brought in our 4 girls first. The server asked if we wanted anything else just before our girls came in. "Yes", we replied. "We have several children who want ice cream as well". As soon as the server saw the four kids coming up the stairs he let out the biggest sight I've ever heard, as if to say "Crap, I was just cleaning up and not planning to serve anyone for the next hour".Noticing his displeasure with actually serving more than 2 people my wife asked "Is that alright"? "Depends on them", he replied.We let our girls get their ice cream and decided quietly that we wouldn't bring anyone else in and neither of us would get anything else. That's 5 boys (two of which are teens) and 2 adults who decided that the level of customer service was so despicable that we would rather just get Frostys at Wendy's instead of putting up with a worker who apparently thought that coming in an hour before closing was too much of a hassle for his late afternoon plans.Sad to say, that was our first and last time we will be visiting...and being locals that means one less (large) family who will be darkening the doorway.As someone who worked in food services for 6 years on the beach myself I know how frustrating customers can be (especially during tourist season). But NOT ONCE would I have displayed the level of unprofessionalism this person did today. The girls loved the ice cream but you definitely need to work on customer service.

It was okay I got a hot fudge sundae but the hot fudge wasn't even warm. The vanilla Icecream itself was good. The vanilla milkshake was super thick my child couldn't drink it until it melted some. They was out of peanut butter sauce. They didn't have very many "speciality sundaes". Online it showed they had tons of icecream flavors but in the store they only had like ten that I saw.. nothing special here.

The ice cream is good, but the wait is ridiculous. They had only 2 people on staff working their hardest, but the owner needs to do a better job with having more people. 50 minutes for ice cream. Pathetic.
