Beyond Vegan Cell Food

In search of a fruity smoothie I happened upon this place - and my Spicy Mango was 10/10 on flavor, creative, healthy ingredients (ginger, cayenne, and mango?? Heck yes!!), aesthetic and friendly service.I was admittedly skeptical at first because it is a solely vegan place, which *usually* means loaded up on soy/tofu and cane sugar to make all the terrible-tasting plant concoctions taste decent, but I talked to one of the family owners and they put care into their ingredients and don't use soy or sugar, and even have some gluten-free options. And they put burdock in the burgers?! Awesome.My only suggestion would be to get a more modern logo- I don't think it accurately represents the quality of the food/service/aesthetic, and was expecting a more rickety joint.Would definitely return if I'm in the area!!

My vegan friends came into town, so they treated me to lunch. I was very open to checking it out to see what options they had and if its food i'd like to incorporate into my diet. Its located in a store front in Portsmouth with street parking. When we entered it was a few people waiting on their orders. They have daily specials. They offer alkaline foods and drinks. We seated ourselves and went to the counter to order, and they bring your food to your table. The food is made to order, so it was about a 30 minute wait. I got the lions mane chick'n sandwich with salad, a bahama mama smoothie, and gumbo with homemade chips. My friends also had sandwiches with oyster mushrooms, banana fries, and impossible meat steak egg rolls. The lions mane sandwich was really tasty, seasoned well, and flavorful. The bread was very dry so it crumbled on the first bite. My friends waffle sandwich fell apart as well. That was the only problem with the sandwiches. The salad and the dressing was good. My favorite was the sausage gumbo. It was very flavorful and filling. The homemade chips complimented it very well. Mmmm. I'd absolutely get it again. I wasn't a fan of the banana fries, they were kinda hard kinda similar to yuca fries. The steak egg rolls were ok, but you have to like the taste of impossible meat. I also enjoyed my smoothie. Very fruity and good. You should definitely check them out. The staff is friendly, its family owned and the gentlemen at the register was very patient and nice. They also have a bar for mocktails. Its not a fancy restaurant but a nice place to grab a meal. Check them out!!

First Impressions are everything!!!! As a "maybe" former meat eater I just had to try this place out with my daughter. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures, but I'll say don't fall for the hype because it's definitely misleading. THIS PLACE IS PHENOMENAL, WORTH EVERY PENNY. The Lions mane crab cake was DELICIOUS AND WHO WOULD THINK TO MAKE BANANA FRIES?? If you want delicious food, a dope environment, nice music and great service then bring yourself on down here cause this is without a doubt a 10/10 would recommend. And we're coming back here every time I'm in Portsmouth. Man, I wish I had known sooner...I guess I am going to go vegan...

This is a Plant Based Gem in Portsmouth! The service is warm and inviting and the food is delicious and creative. I had the Lions Mane Rib sandwich w/chili and I was sitting at the table eating and found myself wanting to swing my feet and sing like I was a kid but of course my legs are to long now as an adult. Great atmosphere with plenty of seating and they even have a "sober" bar area where they serve a variety of Mocktails. Great food here for everyone!

I went with two friends, We all had smoothies! I got the Bahama Mama which I love, and my friend tried that one too. My other friend tried the Hulk! The smoothies are always so smooth and not too sweet! But I had to try the Philly egg rolls, and they were slamming! My friend who doesn't like vegan food couldn't even tell it was vegan! The cheese sauce was amazing, the peppers and the meat! 10 out of 10! The service is always friendly, and I enjoy the atmosphere and ambiance!

So this is my first time here and I wanted to stop in just to see exactly what they were about. The young lady behind the counter was very nice and gave me a lot of information and recommended that I go with the chicken salad. This sandwich was pretty damn good. My intention was just to sample it in the car but I ended up eating the whole thing before I drove off. A salad that came with it was also great with the homemade chips. I will be returning to this spot very soon and often. Meatless Monday's you say?

Truffle Fries were very good. It was my first time trying Jack fruit, that was amazing minus the bread. The salad was amazing especially with just the jackfruit. The service was slow for a Saturday but they made it happen. The Ambiance was amazing. Amazing customers, painting, and the music ( the love state fr). Overall great experience.

The food was really good. Service was very kind. It's made fresh so be prepared to wait a bit. Would skip the tea next time but worth the trip. The paintings on the wall make for a unique experience.

Orders Chikn & waffles, banana fries and strawberry cake and it was good! The waffle had a slight savory taste. 8/10

Im not a vegan at and when I tell you this food was amazing! Chefs kiss, I got the steak wrap and the electrical smoothie as well the desserts were amazing we tried the red velvet cake and the banana pudding, it tasted like my grandmas. Customer service was amazing I'd definitely recommend this place to everyone!!! 10/10
