Benchtop Brewing is not just a brewing company--it's a vibrant space that perfectly blends camaraderie, craft beverages, and a welcoming atmosphere. Situated conveniently near a public parking deck (they will validate your parking), accessibility is seldom a concern, making it a breeze to gather with friends, even for those spontaneous meet-ups with four-legged companions.Although I typically go for their fantastic Red Ale, this time I couldn't resist trying their intriguing cocktail lineup made with house seltzers. Each of the three offerings--Watermelon Cooler, El Diablo, and Mango--brought something unique to the table. The El Diablo stole the show for me; its fresh raspberry puree gives it a delightful pucker that's simply irresistible.Adding a touch of playful nostalgia, Benchtop served Jello shots which added to the lively atmosphere. Their hospitality and innovative drink offerings make watching an Eagles game feel like a special occasion.

Benchtop is one of my favorite Hull Street spots to stop into. As a sober person, I absolutely love when breweries have drinks beyond soda!! Their Hopcha green tea is one of the most unique non-alcoholic beverages I've had at a brewery. It even tastes a little like beer!I love the layout of the space, and the massive windows make for great people watching. The bartenders are all super friendly and knowledgeable! The food is tasty too! You can't go wrong with their nachos.

I've been to Benchtop a few times recently, and I always enjoy the beers from them. It's cool that they have this outpost in Manchester. The vibe inside is clean, light and welcoming. Service has been helpful and friendly each time. Recently I had a strawberry shortcake sour that I enjoyed, along with a couple funky farmhouse bottles, but they do have a range of styles to suit any taste, which is cool.They also serve hot dogs. I've had the dog with chili and queso before, and it was lovely. They're also next door to Hatch Local if you're not into hot dogs for whatever reason.

An addendum to my review, they have stopped thier Sunday five dollar beers. Now each Sunday you can only get one beer that is five dollars and it's probably not a beer you want anyway. However, it's still a great place to stop, in an upcoming area, outside of downtown, that's serves a couple good beers. Btw, the hot dogs are still $10. So not worth it, no matter what they call them

The staff was kind and courteous. There were a few homeless people who came in and they treated them with such kindness. It really stuck out to us. They seem to host quite a few events every month. There was a book club meeting while we were there. The vibe is modern and very bright. The neutral colors are incredibly calming. We did not try any food. I had their spin on a mango margarita. It was just OK. I loved the flavor but wish they would shake or stir the drink before serving. My husband ordered a Czech Ruby Lager and really enjoyed it. I'd definitely stop in again next time I'm in the area!

I've been a couple times now and have had a great experience. The space is great, and staff is super friendly. I love that they don't mind giving a taste to help you decide on your pour. I prefer a lighter / non-hoppy beer, and they had several I enjoyed--Crispy Whip and Festbier were my top favs! They also have games and books to enjoy with a group or solo while there.

Stopped in for Oktoberfest and some beer poking over the weekend! Friendly staff, indoor and outdoor seating, and above all, solid beer! There are also a ton of board/card/bar games to keep you occupied.

First visit here, I'd only previously enjoyed Benchtop canned (mostly IPA's) from a very ambitious Bottle Shop fairly close to where I live. We came to RVA mostly for different and new brews, check in on a few old favorite haunts and see a show. Benchtop was definitely worth a stop and actually is now on my must visit list every trip here.Clean, modern and actually quite stunning taproom IMHO (everyone has preferences). Their beer style range goes from A-Z, which I truly appreciate. Most importantly, the brews are excellent. All very balanced and super drinkable. Kevin is the man BTW! Even the hot dogs are fantastic. Go here; drink, eat & enjoy yourself.

We had heard good things about this place and wanted to check it out. Definitely take advantage of the local parking decks as finding parking can be tough on the street. The parking garage isn't too far away. The space is not very big but it is open and airy and there are places to sit at high top tables. The beers were really good. They do offer 6ounce flights and there is a wide variety of beers. I did not see any food but that doesn't mean there wasn't that option to order. The staff was nice and accommodating and answered all my questions. I would rate this. 4.2. Nice place.
