Ben Franklin Souvenirs

Hubs purchased a chair from here and it was not the right kind. We took it back & they gladly let us exchange it. We ended up buying some OBX tshirts, sweatshirts & few other articles of clothing, as well as 4 hermit crabs (I know, right!!!). My son & his friend each got 2 hermit crabs (dang teenagers, lol) & all the necessities to keep them happy & alive. The gentleman that helped us was simply wonderful! He was such a nice man & he was super helpful & very informative on how to take care of them. The store had everything you needed for the crabs and there was a nice selection to choose from. They have a vide variety of clothes for the whole family from sweats to swimsuits to Hawaiian shirts. They also have a nice assortment of hats & shades as well as beach gear, fishing gear & souvenirs. The cashier was also wonderful. She was so warm & friendly and she gave us even more pointers for the hermit crabs. They better stay alive now!!!Nice, clean store with a large selection in stock. During our week stay, we ended up coming here four times, lol.

Not the same Ben Franklin 5 and Dime I grew up with but they have a great selection of souvenirs, clothing and beach gear. I always stop here when I come to the OBX.

Large, clean, and well-stocked store. Kites are slightly cheaper here than at Sunsation and much cheaper than at Kitty Hawk Kites, but the quality isn't comparable. The souvenirs and clothing selection is about the same as at Sunsation and similar area stores. This store has sparklers and party snappers for dirt cheap. Overall, worth stopping into if you have time to go from souvenir shop to souvenir shop (they're all so close to each other).

Classic beach shop that I've went to since I was little! I prefer to go here vs the big stores like Sun Sations and Wings.They have small souvenirs, candy, beach towels, coloring books, shirts, hoodies... you name it.. they got it.

Perfectly located in Nagshead is this souvenir shop. They have all your beach needs, clothing, souvenirs, home decor and more. Unlike wings, Ben Franklin is VERY reasonable in pricing ! Also the sizes go up to 3XL .. at wings if you want a T-shirt or hoodie they will not have that size but BEN FRANKLIN WILL! Bait and tackle also available at this location ! It's a one stop shop ! All members of the family will enjoy this place ! This large store offers a pleasant shopping experience even with social distancing regulations. Staff was nice and helpful. I would highly recommend this store for your basic needs.

Large souvenir shop where you can find clothing, stickers, stuff for the pool, various trinkets, etc.. We enjoyed taking our time wandering the aisles. So many things to discover and spend your money on. I defintely preferred this place to the other big box stores down the street.

Ben Franklin store was a great Lil gem. The store was very clean and well organized with items from souvenirs to clothing, beach towels, chairs and so much more. Great prices and great selection of inexpensive good flip flops...I bought 2 pair!

This is a adorable souvenir shop! I noticed quite of bit of their stuff was inexpensive.The outside of the building is gorgeous, we actually were here whilst they were re-painting so they must change it up every year. They have a HUGE selection of clothing,which to be honest isn't really my thing but if you're looking for some items to take home this would be a good place to check out. I got a couple adorable shot glasses, a pearl mug and a coffee cup to give to my sisters back home. I noticed some of the reviews aren't great,but it's a SOUVENIR SHOP you guys. It's not gonna be a boutique,Haha. The mural itself is worth going just to take photos of.

If I would have known then what I know now I would not have said I would never come back here. But I was not able to avoid this place this time around I was just a passenger in the car and had no say whether or not we were stopping here.I literally did not want to buy anything in here and basically just waited until my family was done picking over items. I stood in one spot for a really long time staring at one of those sand/water novelties where you flip it and the sand falls to form a mountain. I flipped that thing so many times and got more frustrated with it with each flip. Damned bubbles wouldn't do anything I wanted them to do.Like I said in my prior review no signage, sparse feeling/look, and I don't remember much else since I just kind of spaced out when I was in there. This honestly made me feel like I was in an old department store like Hills.

This was a surprise of a beach shop! Not your typical Wings of surf shoppe which is why we stopped in. Oh man I wish we weren't on the motorcycle haha so many cute things! Walked out with a couple of shirts and a sticker but would definitely make a point to stop in when driving a car to pick up some of the beach/tiki themed merch. Very clean and well organized store.
