Bella Gina Pizza

(Slices of pizza on the Virginian Atlantic - 1 of 2)I kept getting messed up on where to eat, looking for places that offer up pasta and more, and just not being able to land on any near the Oceanfront District in Virginia Beach, or "Va Beach" to those who are too cool for school. I then figured I'd get pizza, but did not want an entire pizza.I looked up some places up along Atlantic and Pacific (real streets, not a game of Monopoly) and it seemed that parking the car near 21st and 22nd, where these major arteries feed in in a perpendicular way from the greater Hampton Roads area to the parallel aforementioned streets, sounded like a good idea. There would be pizza there. Some locals mentioned Gina's Pizza. It appears they have reinstated the prefix Bella to the name. Hence, it Bella Gina Pizza. Take note that "bella" means beautiful or pretty in Italian, even though "Bella" makes the top 10 list for what people are currently naming their dogs. (There's so much conformity in this world.) I knew a "bella Gina" would not be serving up my pizza, but most likely someone of another ethnicity - which is fine - and that was the case.The apparent owner was very welcoming and wanted to make sure I liked my pizza. I saw what would be a "supreme" type pizza offered up in slice form - meat, pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers, etc. It was later in the day, but he told me he could add the ingredients to the base cheese and pepperoni and make it happen.The slice of pizza was good and large enough, but it would have probably been better earlier in the day when more veggies were being grilled. This caused an uneven taste in how cooked the ingredients were, which was mentioned as a probability, although the medium and chewy crust was to my liking. I don't know how I felt about $5.99 for this slice in terms of pricing south of the Mason-Dixon line, but Va. Beach is a nice enough beach town, albeit with some tacky overtones, and the prices there reflect that.So far, I'm at 4 stars. The food was good and so was the service. The interior is big and bright, with both wooden seating and booths and upholstered ones at the perimeter. The deal was that it was a warm night - and an exceptionally humid one - and it was too hot inside the store. It appeared that the air conditioning may not have been on and the ceiling fans up above were definitely not spinning. I know that pizza is hot and it can warm you up, but rarely have I eaten pizza that's not spicy to have my forehead sweat. This clearly drops them a star.I'm now at 3 stars for the Bella Gina Pizza location closest to the statue of Neptune on the boardwalk. Note that, unless you walk many blocks inward from the ocean, meters are to be fed 24 hours a day the closer you get to the beach.

Two stars is probably generous. The food is ok, but never right. Always takes forever and then is cold. Staff is worried about everything but making your order. Store is just dirty and not kept up at all. Location is convenient

The restaurant has hours posted incorrectly . They will say they are closed when open and vice versa. Staff was friendly and fast. The restaurant is clean but every sign is hand printed and taped over something else. A lot of the prices for combos were hidden. Whether it's a price or directions for bathrooms it's all hand printed wrinkly signs. The food was underwhelming for its price. The wings were tiny but good. I got a lot of fries but I don't want the fries I want the chicken. I paid 24 dollars for a very sad wing combo + drink + tip.everyone was nice but cost for food sunk me.

Ordered a meat lovers, full of meat, disgusting. Not only that, it was riddled with sauce. It was ok. I 100% recommend this pizza.

I came to Virginia Beach with a couple friends for the weekend to relax. My friend and I love pizza and I searched up places near the best. This was one of the better reviews places that came up so we decided to try it. To say I'm disappointed in an understatement. The slices were about $3-4 for one which is average anywhere you go. I ordered a sausage preprint one and they completely forgot about my order even though I had already paid. I was standing waiting for my food for 15-20 minutes. For just one slice of pizza!After a worker realized that I was standing there for a while, he decided to get my pizza. So I'm not sure if they don't usually serve a pepperoni sausage pizza already made but I saw them take a pepperoni pizza and just sprinkle some sausage over it. The pizza wasn't very good either. Reminded me of high school cafeteria pizza which is not very good.

The amount of pizza for the price isn't bad. The quality of pizza is garbage though. It was somehow burnt to crisp on the bottom and completely soggy and inedible. The deluxe pizza slice was obviously a pepperoni slice that they then dumped an absurd amount of veggies on and then covered that mound of veggies in cheese that also somehow didn't get melted. Cleanliness was expected for the boardwalk. Service wasn't very attentive or friendly.

Worst pizza i have ever had. Our order was wrong. One of the main pizzas we ordered was one with broccoli and they were out and was not informed of this when we called in our order so they customized it without informing us or asking. Pizzas were cold, crust was burnt. Ordered calamari and got very few with a bunch of fries and some other foreign meat. Will never go back.

Food came very quickly and the slices of pizza were huge! Service was good and he even threw in a free water

This is one of the worse pizzas I have ever had. Low quality ingredients even down to the hot sauce that has a plastic taste instead of hot sauce taste. The cheese side of the pie seemed like there was no cheese and the pepperoni side, tasted like fake meat. For the prices these restaurants are increasing due to our economic status, definitely not worth it nor do I recommend anyone to this place.

disgusting jelotinace piece of goop and shit. never come here unless you want a floppy cold platter of splotch, a whole cubicle was torn down with a swarm of flies around it.shouldve seen the red flags. walk in to get your ears blasted by horrible music. pies are seven slices instead of eight. pizza sounds like moch shit. looks and feels like thrown up splooge. got rocks of cheese on top. coughed a whole green bronchitis spit bean. -1000000000/10
