This place is very unique. The breakfasts change quite often as far as offerings and specials. The Belgian waffle is suppose to be amazing. I've yet to find a breakfast I didn't like. Breakfast or brunch this place a M Ville gem.

How did I not know about this cute, hidden gem in Mechanicsville?!My mom and I arrived for Sunday brunch right around noon. We were lucky to snag the last table as the place remained busy.We started by splitting a mimosa flight, which felt a bit pricey at $25 for what it was. To eat, I had the shrimp & grits which were really tasty. My mom got the loaded omelet and reported positively although I noticed her breakfast potatoes were overcooked. I topped off the experience with one of their specialty flavored lattes, a great treat to end brunch. The space was trendy yet cozy. Service was friendly but the kitchen was a little slow. Definitely plan to return!

Stopped in for lunch. There was no crowd so service was prompt, unobtrusive, and pleasant. The food came out quickly and was hot. I ordered the Addison, which is a turkey and Havarti sandwich and a side order of brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts were rave worthy. It's hard to cook them just right, but Bell Cafe did it! The sandwich was okay. You won't be disappointed with the food here, but you won't be knocked off your socks either.

I love the diner atmosphere of this place! Very unassuming in Mechanicsville, but this place is cute and ideal for brunches and lunches with those close to you, or even just by yourself. We visited their sister store next door for a plant experience and they were so kind. Did and will visit again.

Just left Bell Cafe. We were seated right away. We were given one menu because that's all they had at the time. A server was cleaning the table next to us and said "I'm not sure who your server is but someone should be by soon." We waited 15 minutes. Never got a glass of water or anything. A couple was seated at the empty table next to us and a waitress came right over with water and a menu for each person! So we left. We had been there before and it was just average. Nothing special. We were on our way out of town and thought we'd stop here on the way. Will most likely be the last time we stop there.

Food was pretty disappointing. Took forever to get our food and when we did half of it was over cooked and half was undercooked. We got the Betty page and there was NO flavor to any of the food. They were also out of simple things like bagels which seemed like just poor planning for a restaurant that is right next to a grocery store. Coffee drinks and the service were fine, but we have no plans of going back simply because the food was so disappointing.

Omg...I had the lump crabcake with cheese biscuits and two fried eggs hard with a side of hollandaise sauce and potatoes. Talk about delicious. All the flavors combined are so tasty.

What a great find on our cross country road trip! We saw their name and logo on one of the I-95 signs advertising food at the next exit, and we decided to take a chance on it. It compares favorably to three of our OKC breakfast/brunch favorites: Hatch, Sunnyside Diner, and Neighborhood JAM. When I see omelets on a menu, I know what I'm going to order. I chose their version of a veggie omelet. The veggies inside were cooked but not overcooked. I was skeptical about having flavored cream cheese inside, but it worked well. I'm still not a fan of cream cheese because of its mild flavor and smooth texture, but they it worked well in this omelet. For my side, I ordered the crispy brussels sprouts. WOW! Who would have thought that dropping halved brussels sprouts into the deep fryer basket would produce such a yummy treat? After I added some salt and a little pepper, they were delicious. Most of them had extra crispy outer leaves similar to kale chips. Mmmm! For my toast, I chose rye toast. I was disappointed that they did not have wheat toast. I wanted something other than white toast, so I tried the rye toast. It was a pleasant surprise to find out how well it worked with this omelet and the brussels sprouts. I'm sure they use it for their reuben sandwiches. Our server was attentive and kept our drinks topped up. We chose to eat outside on the covered patio to enjoy the warm summer weather. An excellent choice! It was good for people watching as customers visited the other shops in the shopping center.
