My wife and I have enjoyed Becca's many times over the past few years. It is the perfect place to enjoy an elegant dinner as we did for our anniversary. Tables are always set with fresh flowers. You will be impressed with Becca's extensive cuisine. Choose from a wide ranging menu featuring entrees from land and sea.https://www.beccavb.com/menusBe sure to plan ahead because reservations fill up quickly regardless of the season. The servers and staff work as a team to bring you the finest dining experience. Becca's team is highly professional, polished and considerate. They think of everything! I noticed that at the Host/Hostess station there is a tray of readers (glasses) for those of us who forget that they need glasses to read.In addition to elegant dining, in the off season on Mondays, Becca's offers more casual fare, ie "Burger Night". The burgers are served on a crusty bun and done to perfection! In the summer "Bubbly Night" is a fun event. Becca's is located inside the historic Cavalier Hotel. Be sure to take the time to learn about its history and how this architectural wonder was at one time slated for demolition.

The indoor dining area was beautiful, but the food not so much. The appetizers were great - we got the pastry assortment and deviled eggs. The entrees were very underwhelming, especially for the price. We got the American breakfast which consisted of toast, bacon, and your choice of egg. My toast was burnt and the egg was undercooked. We also ordered the Cavalier Benedict which had way too much spinach on it, to the point that you couldn't even tell there was hollandaise on it. While the crab wasn't great it is important to note it isn't prime season for it right now.The service was pretty ordinary, but our waitress was nice. Would go back for the atmosphere, but probably not for the brunch.

My husband and I throughly enjoyed the brunch at Becca. Lauren was our server and her service was outstanding. We started with a House-Made Cinnamon Bun to share, which was delicious. The frosting was just right. Then I had the Cavalier Bendict. It was topped with a large amount of lump crab meat, and the eggs were perfectly poached. I loved the addition of wilted spinach and blistered tomatoes, because I like to have vegetables with every meal. Hubby had the Cavalier Garden Steak and Eggs. The NY strip was medium-rare as ordered, and had a wonderful smokey grilled flavor. It was topped with a mildly spicy chimichurri sauce, so if you don't like heat, get that on the side. We liked it though. The eggs were cooked as ordered. The sourdough toast was tasty and looked house made. It also came with the blistered tomatoes. Both dishes came with perfectly cooked Potatoes Obrien. The potatoes could have used more onions and peppers, but still were very good. This is a white table cloth restaurant. I don't think the prices were too high though, considering what you pay at other restaurants, and the high quality of the food and the excellent service. It does cost $6 to valet park, and you should tip on top of that, so that is a little expensive. If you are going to drink alcohol, which we didn't this time, I'd suggest putting that money towards an Uber/Lyft.We walked around the hotel grounds afterwards and it is absolutely beautiful. There's even a Chef's Garden outside, so I'm sure they grow a lot of thier own ingredients. We will definitely be back!

I went here for a last minute Valentine's dinner and it was absolutely amazing! Service was great, the timing of the food was perfect. From the bread to the dessert, everything was so so great. The place was nicely decorated and it definitely had the fine dining ambiance. I would 10000% return!

Becca is a fantastic spot for breakfast! The outdoor seating adds to the charm, making it a lovely place to start the day. The ambience is delightful, and the landscaping is truly impressive. I found the prices to be quite reasonable for a Virginia Beach restaurant. Our server, Lalla, was outstanding--her cheerful demeanor and pleasant nature made our experience even better. I highly recommend trying the Signature BLT; it's a must!

This restaurant impressed us from the moment we arrived, starting with the top-notch valet service at the entrance.Upon reaching the hostess stand, our reservation was ready, and we were promptly seated outside, as requested, on a lovely patio with a great view. Both the hostess and server greeted us warmly, provided water right away, and offered helpful recommendations. We ended up trying the crab cake sandwich and seafood omelette, both of which were bursting with flavor and quite satisfying. The seasonal mimosa, with a refreshing touch of mint, was the perfect complement to our meal.Even the bathrooms were spotless. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

We made a reservation ahead of time since we wanted to sit in the sunroom area during lunch. Everything was quite smooth and service was reasonably prompt. We loved the Rockfish Provençal so much. I think the fish was of superb quality. The snow crab capellini was quite good but it was unexpectedly peppery. Lobster bruschetta was delectable & fresh. We ended with their baklava cheesecake, which I thought was unique and flavorful. The dishes were definitely pricey for the sizes that they gave so you paid for the quality and ambiance. I still wish the portions would be a bit more generous.

We were a party of 7, celebrating a birthday. The guest of honor chose this spot because he's a prime rib fan, had eaten it here before, and was excited to share the off-season Wednesday night $29 prime rib special. This is really a fantastic deal, you get 12 oz prime rib, a side, and a glass of post & beam cab for just $29. The men in our party all ordered that, the four ladies in our party opted for other dishes. If I were just judging food, this would have been a five star evening because everything from the pre-dinner bread (a tasty popover) to the meal itself was outstanding. I particularly recommend the crab cakes!! They were absolutely perfect. This isn't a five star review though, because the service was very disappointing. Our waitress seemed very stressed and harried. It was a busy night for sure but there seemed to be ample staffing so I'm not sure why that was. She forgot to bring the wine to a few of us and needed several reminders. The worst, though, was the lack of steak knives. Two of my friends ordered filets and their steaks grew cold as they waited and asked multiple times. She finally said in an exasperated voice "no one is cleaning them, they're all dirty back there." Okay, so maybe that's a cue that someone needed to prodded to wash some? As an aside, one of my friends also made a big error in that when her wine order was taken she just absentmindedly pointed at her husbands glass of post & beam and said she's have that. She was thinking if the entire meal olus wine was only $29 then logically a glass of the wine wouldn't cost more than $29.. She was wrong. When the bill came, her glass of wine was $48. Stunned, we checked the menu because surely there was a mistake but no, it was accurate. The guys meals all showed $8 for the cost of wine and then an $8 deduction on the next line to reflect the dinner special. Make sure you check the wine menu if you're there on a prime rib night and make no assumptions. Service was 3 stars. Food 5 stars. Netting a respectable 4 star review here. If return, but probably not with anything larger than a party of 2, especially on a Wednesday.

First Impressions:We loved the five-dollar valet service--very convenient! Upon arrival, we noticed the guests in front of us were asked if they had a preference for dining outside on the patio or inside the dining area. Naturally, I expected the same for us. Unfortunately, when I inquired, we were told there was a 20-minute wait, but we weren't even given the option. On to the Food:We ordered freshly squeezed juice, bourbon French toast, and steak and eggs. The juice tasted store-bought, to be honest. The steak and eggs were delicious, especially paired with the roasted tomatoes and chimichurri sauce. However, my sister and mom couldn't get enough of the bourbon French toast!Atmosphere:The restaurant is nice, but the dining area does not compare to the patio seating at all.

We had an ok dinner the night prior. Drinks were good, portions were good save perhaps the she crab soup appeared to have smaller portions. I didn't take pictures last night but the duck was an average. Perhaps a bit dry? Just made me regret not getting the steak.Breakfast was really good and the service - like every other part of the experience at The Cavalier Hotel - was incredible. The ambiance here is amazing! There were several flies buzzing around on the indoor patio area. I think we would have preferred the outdoor patio. The food was good but the dining experience is just not quite to the level of excellence as everything else about The Cavalier. We loved our experience and will keep coming back, but there is some opportunity here.
