I was here on business from Indiana. I really enjoyed staying here! Great place, very quiet, and great staff. The room was like a nice apartment with a balcony instead of a hotel room. There's a Walmart literally right next door so you can buy some groceries for your room after you check in. It's also very close to lots of restaurants and businesses, and of course, very close to the beach. :)

Beachwoods Resort was a great place to vacation with a large group of extended family. The suites were very spacious and comfortable. It was nice to have so much space for the family to spread out and also a full kitchen to prepare meals and snacks. The amenities are great. Even when the weather is cold, this is a good place to stay because the indoor water park is a lot of fun for the kids. The location is very convenient and close to a lot of restaurants, shopping, and attractions. I look forward to staying here again.

We cannot get enough of this place! Yes, it's a little more pricey than an average hotel in the area, but my gosh it's worth it. I think we've been here 3 times in the last year?! The staff is always very welcoming, and my only complaint about check in is that it's at 4pm which feels so late. We always check straight in and head for the splash park- our favorite part. There's a great area for little ones up to adults (both my husband and 2 year old son enjoyed the slide!), and then there's a much larger slide into the deep end of the pool in a separate area. There's even a lazy River too, and a hot tub, and that's not even counting the outdoor pools! You could spend all your free time in the pool area honestly, but since it's outer banks we still try to venture out. There's also an arcade, free paddle boats (which no one is ever using, it's so peaceful out there), and a pretty sweet playground and other outdoor areas to explore. The rooms have always been perfect, and feel very new inside, seeming almost never touched. The only issue I've ever had is needing more pillows or regular coffee (one time there was only decaf! But, first world problems, we lived;). Beachwoods, you're our getaway of all getaways, thanks for being the BEST.

Maybe My expectations were a bit high, considering that its only $800+ per night. The check-in experience was not so nice or acceptable from my view. To summarize, if you're not a Diamond Resort member, be prepared to wait and still get mediocre service. The room was fine, nothing grand. Bed was uncomfortable and when you move, Coffee pot carafe is broken. So it was difficult pouring coffee in a cup. Check out is at 10:00 am and don't be surprised if house keeping knocks on your door to start cleaning the room @ 10:01. It's a sign to get out!!!!Indoor pool was fine. Heavily chlorinated so bring some lotion after swimming to rehydrate your skin.

It's our first night check in was easy but did take what seemed like forever probably bc I was tired from driving 7 hours! Room was clean and comfortable. We went to dinner and came back showered to go to bed and all we can hear is the people above us!!!! They didn't settle down until around 11pm! Kids running and screaming. We can hear literally every move they make!!! If you stay ask for an upstairs room to be on the safe side if you want any quiet lolWater park was okay. No one working the slide and the large and older kids shoving the small kids out the way to go down the small slide! Husband tried to fish but they do not give you the correct set up to actually catch fish. Over all it was an ok stay we didn't spend a lot of time in the room or on property bc we were exploring other places.

so I have never stayed there but it's been a nightmare dealing with their customer service. I own a timeshare with HGV and this would be my first time staying at this resort. I'm already regretting booking it with them seeing as though Jamie a lady from the front desk is not nice and needs to be retrained or fired from her job. I have booked 3 reservations and instead of asking why I was calling continued her rant on how I needed to call HGV to change my name on my 3rd reservation because it did not have my name on it. She was very rude and I hope and pray that she will not be the person checking me into my room on the day I show up. She did not resolve the reason I called and had to request her manager to return my call. Ewww with the customer service so far. Manager called me back Pricilla to let me know Jamie is one of their finest employees lol. HGV needs to do an internal investigation on who is representing their newly owned resort property. All I simply wanted was to request that my 3-3 bedrooms reservations were located in a close proximity but I guess they don't have these types of requests at Beachwood resorts. I was told by HGV that they had linked my rooms together but that was a lie and Pricilla said she would do her best but could not make any promises or tell me how far apart the rooms would be. Do not stay here!! I already regret the booking process with them. Will post updates after my stay. Wish me luck.

I would like to say that if you ever need a place to stay.... This would be my last option. Unless you don't mind roaches. I went to make a cup of coffee and there were mold spores all inside of the coffee maker. The first room we went in had dead roaches all over the floor boards. The kitchen had crumbs all around the baseboards. I went to the front desk and they said they would put me in another room. They inspected the room before going in and sprayed just for our reassurance. The next morning we were headed to the beach and when we came back there was a huge roach that ran so close to my hand while I was trying to cook dinner. I went to the front desk to explain that I saw another roach, the manager Michelle told me that there was no need to move me to another room because I would have the same issue in each of the rooms I go in. I then said to her so yal are infested with roaches. She said they are bugs that come in searching for water. She offered to refund me half of my points back from my stay. I decided to stay long enough to wash all of our clothes and pack up. The place looked beautiful however our vacation was ruined. A few pointers for them would be to get better house keeping and get a pest control company out there to stay on top of the infestation. The plus side to my vacation was the pleasant staff who were aware of the issues at hand and tried to make the stay better despite the circumstances. Also, the pool area was very relaxing.

Being charged full price for daily amenities when things are closed like the indoor pool, hot tubs and water park, and the notice that it would be closed didn't come out until less than 6 weeks before the trip. I just let that go. By then last night my car was hit in the parking lot by a truck with a trailer and after walking into the welcome building the first thing out of the fat women's mouth was "it's park at your own risk", not I'm sorry or anything, very defensive and very rude as she is shrugging her shoulders. Then I nicely asked do you have cameras, and the guy was like yeah but they don't record, it's all live. I had previously called about what i should do since it was witnessed by another guest, and the person on the phone was like maintenance was here until 11pm wish we would of known last night and then when I got there they were like maintenance wasn't here or they weren't working on anything there it had to be a guest. Oh okay. It was like they were covering up something and I didn't appreciate the dismissive and disrespectful attitude. Oh and by the way "Park at your own risk" aren't anywhere on the roads to the parking lots but one sign I found was on the lot toward the maintenance building. If they showed they cared and like the report wasn't useless I wouldn't be so pissed off. And if you didn't stand in a little circle talking about the event like I wasn't standing there or have the nerve to include me in the conversation but then you couldn't cover it up! But I won't be coming back here and hope if your reading this review you pick somewhere else too. The place is old, old dated, and needs some updates and maybe start with the stairs going to the rental units! 0/zero stars if I could!

Not as described. I booked here because it said it had a "heated" indoor pool and small waterpark and was traveling with my 3 year old granddaughter by myself with cold weather in early March. the pool is NOT heated it was unusable with a temperature of 50°, yet I paid an amenity fee each day for this. I had no idea rooms were not attached to where you check in, my granddaughter asked if we were staying in a tree house. I had to carry all our things up and down stairs several trips and times (I'm 66). The kitchen had 4 plates, 4 forks, etc I continually had to hand was the dishes because putting 4 plates in a dishwasher one didn't make sense and two I'd have to wait for the dishwasher to finish. there was not even a clock in the bedroom, even a cheap hotel gives you a clock. I had no idea this was a timeshare and had to sit through a sales pitch. the outside rinse area did not work so we tracked the beach sand inside our unit and there was not even a broom to sweep it up so we had to walk in beach sand the entire time on the inside. the walls are paper thin and could hear the people in the room next to us as well as above us. I will not go back here.

Don't know what all the bad reviews are about, I loved this place. Has a backroad that leads straight to the beach. It's about a mile long. Outdoor shower head in front of each building so you don't track sand in. My condo was really clean and nice. The indoor pool is awesome. Each unit has a screened in porch and an open porch on each side. The arcade is awesome. Only have two complaints, the decks and stairs are getting old, made me feel a little unsafe. They were renovating one of the units in my friend's building and maybe they'll get to the stairs. Friends units were in good shape. My other complaint was the big water slide was out of service. I think someone must've got mowed down at the bottom sometime in the past so they turned it off. The kid slide was still fine and big enough for adults. It's a little bit of a drive away from everything so nothing really in walking distance. Not too far from Walmart, the liquor store, and a few places to eat. I'd love to go back again. I got a call after I was back with an offer for $100 off a night good for a year which sounds good but I never can plan too far ahead. If I had a family I'd have taken it. I prefer a place right on the beach.
