10 out of 10. Great communication with reservation, pictures of the home looked exactly like what was there. Very clean, great hospitality, and wonderful sleep. The breakfast was homemade with a spinach quiche, muffin, sausage and fruit. The host Mike was extremely accommodating. Ended up coming in late due to travel delays and weather. Luckily we just caught the tail end of the sunset. So happy he worked with our late schedule with compassion. He also provided an excellent restaurant suggestion. The bedroom was clean and the room had a balcony with a great view. The shower had great water pressure. It was extremely refreshing after a long day on the road. Highly recommend

Wonderful place to stay. Just close enough to the hustle and bustle of Cape Charles during peak season but far enough away that you have peace and quiet and relaxing environment. Mike loves history and will tell you so much about the Eastern Shore history and other historical topics, specifically the Civil War. Spinach kuiche is AMAZING for breakfast. If you're looking for a relaxing place to stay but want to be close to Cape Charles to explore and hang out, the Baywood is perfect for you.

This B&B is a dream come true. Located just before the Bay Bridge and turn on the Crossway. Beds are comfy, rooms are perfect, and your hoist Mike and Sharon are the best. This waterfront location is beautiful.

A great place to stay!!! Mike the owner was very friendly and welcoming. We didn't spend much time at the Baywood but we slept great and the room was clean. The breakfast was delicious! Mike served spinach quiche with their famous muffin and fruit cup. A beautiful place overlooking the bay with two adorable cats!

Baywood was exactly what we were looking for! Beautiful, quiet, sparkling and spacious with a gracious host and a knockout breakfast - it really couldn't have been any nicer. We had the Lighthouse Room, which included a large en suite with a walk-in tub, a huge shower and large, fluffy towels. The whole wall facing the water and beach were beautiful white French doors that opened onto a very large porch/balcony with a table and chairs. The sunset from here was stunning! Our host, Mike, is a history buff which played into our interests perfectly. On top of piquing my interest enough to look some corresponding topics up when home, he has a particular soft spot for General Lee. Mike also steered us in the right direction for dinner (The Oyster Farm, but that's another review!).Before leaving, Mike served us and the other two couples who were in-house (and we never heard a peep from) a fabulous breakfast that would be the fuel to the next leg of our journey up the coast. I will be writing him personally for a couple of recipes! I'm not much of an egg fan but he made a casserole that was so light and fluffy with vegetables, that I ate the whole piece and it was substantial. There was fresh fruit, tea or coffee (which is also place outside of the rooms from 6am), juice, sausage (which I AM a fan of!) and a wonderful muffin that had a name, but I don't recall. A Bay muffin, maybe? Just a spectacular send-off!We didn't have a chance to meet Sharon, but if she's as charming and knowledgeable as her husband, it was our loss!

Loved this place, it's like a little beach getaway. Mike was awesome and he showed us a lot of neat little spots to explore. The breakfast was great and I actually looked forward to getting up early just because of it. I loved everything about this place, the only thing I didn't like was that there was no tv in our room, which didn't really matter in the end because there were so many fun things to do we barely stayed in our room. Will most definitely come back next year

My fiancé and I took a trip to the eastern shore and stayed at The Baywood and our experience was great! Mike, the owner, is such a nice guy and cooks some really good food. I would recommend this place to anyone without hesitation. If you are looking for a weekend or vacation to lay low and relax, this is your place!

The Baywood is a wonder B&B that is beautifully located near the southern tip of Virginia's Eastern Shore. Our room was clean, comfortable, and offered a beautiful view of the Chesapeake Bay. Adding to our great positive experience were the efforts of Mike, the owner and host of the B&B. He prepared a scrumptious breakfast on each of the two days we were there. His friendly demeanor and willingness to share interesting information and recommendations about things to see and do in the area really made our visit much more memorable. We will be back, and we will be sure to bring friends along with us.

What an amazing place to stay. Everything, I mean everything was outstanding. The room and bathroom was spotless. The sunset view from our private balcony was breathe taking. The kitties were very friendly. Our host was more than accommodating. Shortly after we arrived Mike made reservations for us at the restaurant were we want to eat dinner. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and belly filling. I highly recommend staying here. We'll be back.
