Bayville Farms Park is one of the major parks of Virginia Beach because it has a dog park, playground, skate park, basketball and tennis courts. The picnic tables are covered and underneath the trees for the summer shade.

This community park is a great haven for a peaceful walk through the woods, a round of Frisbee golf, a day of play for the kids, or a zoomie release for your dogs big & small! The park is nestled next to Bayside Rec and a stone throws away from Taste market eatery. This park has ample parking, a variety of picnic shelters, and is well kept. There are plenty of trash receptacles throughout. A volleyball and basketball court and unique features like bridges, gazebos, and a rock wall you can hike!Take a little getaway from the bustle of life and enjoy the time at Bayville Farms.

Came out on Sunday afternoon with our granddaughter. The kids park is a really nice size with lots of activities for all ages. There is plenty of parking. This park should be a 5. But,- Dog park, usually lots of dogs. Quite a few dog owners left the dog poop. We will never bring our dogs, really nasty.- Park management allows trucks on the grass by the picnic areas.- Park management allows vulgar music to play loudly. We will not be back.

This park is beautiful! It's mid-April, and most things are in bloom but still waiting on the trees to fill in fully. Semi-wooded area with plenty of open space for activities, some floral trees spotting here and there. I came here only for the disc golf course. Full 18-hole course with Par3 and Par4 options (different tees and different baskets). I enjoyed the nature of the walk, however compared to my usual frisbee course I was a bit frustrated at the flow of this course. It's very easy to get lost from the basket to the next tee. I figured it out in the end but many times I walked into another person's tee box! I don't really have a suggestion for improvement, just warning you to pay close attention to the course flow! Would not return for frisbee.

Bayville Farms Park is spacious and has a lot of options for everyone. There are 3 large picnic shelter areas and a moderately-sized playground area good for mainly elementary school aged children. It includes a walk climbing wall and has the solid rubber surface (to reduce injuries).Several different sport options with tennis courts, volleyball, and multiple areas for basketball. There are paved pathways for walking, with one that goes along the edge of one side of the park by the road. You're able to get a moderate walk in, but a good portion of the park is dedicated to the frisbee/disc golf. The park is very clean overall. There are also nice dog parks with good shade.

I met some friends at the park to play a round of frisbee golf. This is actually a nice park. There are a lot of tree obstructions especially on the last hole. I just enjoy getting out and socializing in a fun game of frisbee golf. However, I have never encountered so many rude people at this park. Someone actually picked up my frisbee and started to walk away with it. Also, adults were cussing at us and accusing us of skipping ahead of them. They were full of bs. I hope this is not the norm at this place. I am very polite and courteous to everyone and look forward to playing there again. I might go during the week or early weekend mornings to avoid the riff faff rudeness. I'm giving this course 3 stars because if the many rude players and spectators on the course.

Bayville Farms Park is an awesome component of the neighborhood. My history with the park, which is within walking distance of my house, extends back to the mid 80's when we moved here from Atlanta.Tennis lessons on the courts most likely were the beginning. I must regretfully admit that they weren't very successful for me. And it wasn't the fault of the instructor. How memorable were the Cub Scout picnics in the wonderful pavilions that are available for reservation. My little boy, a young Cub Scout then, is now a father. My Grandson loves to go to the modern playground at Bayville Park when they come to visit, making the park a three generational affair. It's a fairyland for children with a rubberized ground cover to prevent "ouchies" when children fall. It's an upscale 21st century playground that causes much unhappiness for a 3 year old when it's time to leave.I'm not sure I've ever driven by when the basketball courts weren't being fully utilized. Great lighting provides for safe games and practice in the cool evening breezes blowing off the nearby Chesapeake Bay.A unique, well utilized feature is the disc golf course. I have to admit to having never seen this sport before moving to Bayside. The course is in the midst of a beautiful tree'd area with walking path like fairways that lead from one hole to the next.At one time, during my son's youth, the park had a skate board ramp that was the source of many hours of fun for youth and many hours of worry for parents. All the skate board ramps were eventually removed from the city parks. Liability must have been the overriding issue. There are baseball parks and a large open field area for children's soccer and football games and practices. Driving past is nostalgic, bringing back memories of when I too was a soccer Mom. The park has more open space on the bay side now than it once did. There was a hurricane.... Was it Isabel or another? ....that flattened a plethora of the huge pine trees like a giant bulldozer had plowed them down. Their entire root balls were intact. People parked along First Court Road taking pictures of the amazing sight. The newest addition to the park is the most pertinent in my current life. Two large dog parks, one for large breeds and one for small, have been added across the parking lot from the park office. Although I'm absolutely delighted with this feature, I can't help comparing the offering to the dog parks in New York City. A great addition would be more benches rimming the area for the use of we doggie parents. And an improved, more weather friendly turf would be great.Thank you Virginia Beach for your continuing support and upgrades to Bayville Farms Park. We love our wooded treasure by the bay.

Been to this park maybe 2 to 3 times already and I actually really enjoy bringing my kids here. Had a little Easter event for the kids which was nice. The playground is not too big but not too small which I enjoy. I love the walkways they have in between.

Four stars well-earned for this location, it's the perfect place for a family, on a nice day, to relax with their kids or even bring their dog to the dog park. The playground area is one of the better designed playgrounds that I've seen. The sheer size of the park itself is also very refreshing. I spent time with the family just exploring the vast wooded area. Also, for those of you that are into fitness, there is a TRX station right next to the playground. That means you can get a workout in while your kids play! I was also very surprised at the cleanliness of the restrooms. Most public parks tend to not be able to keep up with the cleaning of the restrooms, but this park clearly has a staff that is thorough with the overall cleanliness of the entire park.
