Visited for the first time, yesterday evening. Got a variety of snow crab legs, stone crabs and shrimp that they steamed for us as well as herring roe for a birthday dinner celebration. Service was polite, friendly and fast! I would highly recommend and will be back. Thanks

I started picking steamed, hard-shell crabs when I was six. Now I'm in my seventies. So I know about crab sizes and what the steamed, meat texture should be. Twice in the last few weeks I've ordered the hard-shells from the Bay Seafood Market and they have been quite delicious. The best I've had in many years and especially the best in the Richmond area. Both times the crabes were steamed hot and ready to go at the scheduled pick-up time. Both times they were all number-one males like I ordered and not a mix of the number ones and smaller. Both times the meat was firm and sweet not like the soft and mushy meat I've had from other Richmond dealers in the past. I highly recommend Bay Seafood Market for the best crabs in the area. They are nice people too.

Got #1 Males on July 4th they were meaty & very good! Got large shrimp w the garlic butter it's excellent! Clean, organized, friendly & not a long wait!

Clean, fast service, delicious, family-owned. When summer rolls around I frequent this place for their blue crabs and shrimp. They will steam fresh for you with seafood salt. You can choose the heat level.

This is the best fresh seafood market on Southside RVA period! I've been going to Bay Seafood for over 15 years and they have never disappointed me. The store is extremely clean and they have the best variety of fresh seafood! I absolutely love and recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional service amazing seafood both fresh and cooked!!

Save your money and DON'T GO TO THIS SEAFOOD MARKET. They are a rip off. They KNOW that the crabs they sell are empty. They want you to spend the money knowing that only 1 or 2 may be edible. The owner is rude!! Take your money elsewhere and get quality seafood!!
