I was looking for a marina to dock my boat. Bay Point at first look seemed OK. I paid the dock fee, which wasn't cheap, but from the presentation would do. That's where it ended. I pulled my boat in and the electrical hook-up didn't work. I ran my cable across the dock to the next closest terminal which worked. A guy in a slip 2 down gave me a hard time about it. I locked my boat and went to meet some friends for lunch. When my friends and I got back there was a guy in the parking lot trying to rip a CD player out of a sports car. We held him there and called police. After this incident, we went to the office to report what happened. While we were there talking, my friend picked up some gravel and tossed it into the water. There was a guy on the stern of a nearby boat, who was obviously drunk, started cussing out my friend for tossing rocks in the water. I ask the office guy, "Are you going to let him talk to us like that?" All he said was, "Y'all shouldn't be dropping stones in the water." I said, It doesn't matter. You shouldn't let drunks talk to other guests like that". He just walked away while we were still being berated by the drunk. He didn't say a single word to the drunk about his behavior. We just walked away and went to my boat. When we got there my power cable was unhooked and tossed on the deck. I looked at the guy 2 slips down. He just sat there with a smile on his face looking back. We untied my boat, pulled away from the dock and never went back.

Let's just say I am in no hurry to return to Bay Point. Bay Point and Little Creek marinas now operate as one. We stayed on the old Bay Point side. Docking was easy and the dock hand was very helpful and friendly. We were taken to the ship's store by golf cart (Little Creek side) for a quick check-in. We liked the floating docks, which means your boat will always be at the right height for getting on/off. There is also a pool. It was a tad underwhelming, but a welcome site after a hot day on the water. It does, however, seem to be a favorite with local construction workers (swimming in their skivvies) looking for a free pool to use as there is no code to entry, allowing anyone to drop by to use. What we did not like were the bathhouse facilities on the BP side. There are two entrances, one for the marina guests (you enter with a code right next door to the restaurant's service door, where they take out garbage and staff have smoking breaks) and one through the Lagoon restaurant. As you are sharing sharing the facilities, whoever has access to the restaurant has access to you. This is especially disconcerting when there are no locks on the shower stalls (ladies side). DH says there were no locks on toilet or shower stalls on the men's room side. Secondly, while the toilet and sink areas were reasonably clean, the showers were not (ladies side). Actually, they were pretty awful. Someone had even disposed of a sanitary napkin in one of the showers (it was still there a day later). If we do ever go back, we will insist on staying on the Little Creek side. Perhaps their bathhouse facilities will be in better shape.

Don't ever use this marina! They think they are the mafia and will screw you over every chance they get. I waited for 8 months to have ethe power fixed at my slip and it still isn't. They don't care for the docks and will neglect all responsibilities just to save a few pennies as they are going bankrupt. The amminities they offer are nonexistent. You will overpay no matter what. This marina needs to be shut down. It is nothing but a liability.

Marina itself is good, pool ,covered large area around pool for alot of chaise lounges and tables, outdoor bar service (if you like, the large famous Surfrider restaurant, which has excellent seafood and and inventive southern food.) Surfrider does not own the pool area, though their food is great. The manager of the marina,Judy Turner, looses her temper and insults people too often and makes too many unusual decisions and bad decisions. She 's loudly insulted me several times,I've never had the kind of bad management and abuse from any marina manager. Please read the other 7 Yelp reviews of Bay Point Marina, you'll see clearly she not a good manager causes grief to the the boat owners, and is loud, angry and tempermental.I would talk to the actual Marina Owner and have Judy replaced with a NEW professional Manager that doesnt make so many big mistakes ,and lose her temper and insult customers.

Stepped in for a few questions about the facility. The guy at the front desk was very helpful but all I could hear was The manager in the back spouting off nonstop politics and complaints about covid and how she won't ever wear a mask again. I don't usually care about other peoples views but this doesn't seem like the kind of place to be talking so loudly about it in the office. The docks look great and the facility is all new but I don't think I want my kids around for that kind of talk.

Zero stars not being an option, they get the lowest rating allowed. The Crab that runs the place and answers the phone is the problem. Horrible, horrible disposition..... I came across an ad claiming available slips with low prices. I called. They have the highest prices for an annual lease in Little Creek inlet. Commenting in this, she ordered me to find lower prices.

I only give a one as zero is not an option. I recently wrote a 4 page letter to the Marina owner as it is being poorly ran and they are not honoring there contracts and posted it on google review as well. He DOES NOT respond to letter but posts some ramblings that the marina is making improvements but does not address once the fact that the new management is not honoring contracts. In there lease agreement's it states if the marina requires you to move your boat they will waive one month of lease fees but that NEVER HAPPENED. The new manager Judy refused to honor when asked. They also offered a month to month option (i have it en email) but apparently it was sent in error but no correction email went out. It was offered by the manager then she changed her mind and we had to drive 20 hours round trip and move boat paying double slip fees. I forwarded the email to the manager Judy showing they offered month to month and she admitted in went out in error and now that we sent email she said to call her and she would then honor. We had already drove 20 hours round trip and moved out boat. Regardless you don't want to stay at this marina the new management is not capable of managing the marina. The marina is half empty and she can't manage it and or keep anything straight. She states she works 12 hours a day but yet can't do the job.
