Barr's Pharmacy

Do not take any of your money here! Went there yesterday with the only cash I had which was a 20$ bill got a 2$ pop and they gave me 8$ back and I didn't realize til I got home so I called them and they said they'd call me back whenever they count the drawers down and they did not call back I had to call them this morning to which they said the register was on point which it should have been 10$ over unless the person working pocketed my 10$. So shitty as if these stores don't make enough money as it is! Never taking my business back there again. And you shouldn't either! Yeah it's only 10$ but that 10$ could have done something for me.

Cozy little (yet full) pharmacy on one of the corners of the boardwalk. They fill prescriptions quickly and have their own private parking lot in the back so you don't have to find the tricky little street parkings where you have to squeeze behind a giant car.

I just love this place! When it comes to medication, they have saved our butts many of times. Normally we do mail order pharmacy, even though I really don't care to. But when mail order has failed us in the past, Barr's has bailed them out. The also carry a variety of little trinkets that make great stocking stuffers to get for Christmas. But what sets this place apart from any other Pharmacy, is the fact that they have a delivery driver to bring medication to you so you don't have to deal with the tourists during tourist season.

I love this little place! So quick and convenient. Easy parking, great hours and awesome pricing. Glad to have Barr's in my neighborhood and I hope they never close down.

I'm an oceanfront resident and long time customer of Barr's. They fill your prescriptions quickly, answer any questions and even provide drop off service around the oceanfront. As for the bad reviews that a few people posted? The only thing I can say is that the staff at Barr's won't suffer fools. Maybe that was the problem.

I decided to give this pharmacy a try and I found the pharmacist to be very rude. I asked him a question about my prescription and he said he didn't have time to answer and then he turned his back on me! Definitely the rudest pharmacist in town. The teenage boys running the pharmacy must've learned their customer skills from the pharmacist. I gave one star because they have several parking spots in the back.

Ghetto!!!! A bunch of surfer dudes just hanging around. Both my Rx were new and I received no instruction. I only went there because my nurse told me this was the only pharmacy to carry the Rx I needed.

This is the definition of a family local business. They are the nicest group of people that do a great job. They care about their customers and make a point to employee young men from the area. You will not get the service at a corporate pharmacy, like you do here.

This has to be my favorite Pharmacy in the world. I grew up as a child with fond memories of visiting VA Beach and myself and my brother and sisters running up and down the isles while my Uncle Sam Mason the owner would say "Kid's get everything you want to enjoy the Beach" The beach was right across the street from Barr's. When I became an officer I was then stationed in VA Beach FT Story I enjoyed that duty station immensely getting to visit my uncle Sam with my father Dean Blevins who had worked for Sam to help pay to get through college. My uncle was always so kind I think he sold the pharmacy to a student that worked for him while going through college. I really cherish the fact the pharmacy is still going and folks still love it.
